Excellent location for Tiergarten, and trains, half price bar every night between 1700-1900, I didn’t have breakfast as I was out early every morning, lots of bars and restaurants nearby, ate at Berlinchen three times out of five nights it’s on Bayreuther strasse also ate at schnitzel haus was good , Maharadscha Indian restaurant, not very good .

Great location for getting about the city.
Lots of shops, cafes, restaurants near by too. Only downside is 18eu for breakfast.
Hence why we had breakfast out for about 5-7eu.
Big bonus is happy hour in the bar betwee 1700 & 1900

Staff friendly, room decent size, bed very comfortable but the carpets could do with a thorough clean. There was a strong smell of cigarettes coming from the bathroom from the vents I guess, it was quite bad, and the aircon was very loud.

Pros: Great location! Walking distance to lots of resteraunts, cafes and Bikini Berlin. The beds are bedding were very comfortable! The rooms were clean as was the lobby and other areas. The staff was also very kind.
Cons: The vending machine was down for all of our stay. The door to get into the shower is small. We are larger travelers and getting into the shower was a tight squeeze. We wouldn't stay at this hotel again for that reason, but otherwise it was a great stay!

We had a great stay in Berlin Premier inn City Centre. The rooms were clean (so were the bathrooms) and the beds comfortable. Throughout the day the staff were friendly and helpful. A short walk away is the main shopping area with plenty of places to eat and drink.

Premier Inn staff were excellent always available to help and advise and very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. All areas of the hotel were very clean. Very handy for transport links and lots to do and see nearby. Some excellent restaurants very close to hotel.
Only complaint is the rooms at the front of the hotel can be a little noisey with stree traffic.

The hotel is close to both Wittenberg Platz and Zoological Garden, which are both main transport spots, making travel around Berlin very convenient. The hotel reception and attached dining area were small, but clean and functional. There is also a lounge by reception which is pleasant. All the staff were pleasant and friendly and happy to help. The room was modern, light and comfortable, with a bath and shower en-suite. A large screen TV and very comfortable bed. Basically it is a good hotel for a short visit to Berlin. There are several restaurant options around Wittenberg Platz, which also leads directly onto Kurfustendamm, the main shopping area in western Berlin.

A good stay at this hotel. The room was clean and tidy. There were a few marks on the wall from shoes and bags which could have been cleaned beforehand. There were also general signs of wear and tear but nothing major. The location is close to the Tiergarten which is handy and transport links are close by. I would recommend staying here.

i liked the most, the location and the staff were eager to help , but my only comment was when approaching the front desk upon arrival, on the 11th of January to complete my check in procedure, i was disappointed to see that on their computer, and my paper, they wrote that my home country was Israel, while my home country is Lebanon which i am very proud of.
My question is, whose mistake was it??? or was it on purpose??

I liked the fact it was close to a lot of food options, however the hotel itself was underwhelming and was just ok. The staff were not very helpful, seeing as how we got there a couple minutes earlier than the check in point, and they made us wait as she just stood there. Overall, the hotel was ok, the food was meh, and the room was eh.

We loved our stay at Holiday Inn Express. Location was amazing. 10 min walk from Zoological Garden Metro, very quiet area, very safe. Shops are 5-10 min walk, including KADEWE, which is too pricey, but there are others.
Staff is the best aspect of the hotel.
Breakfasts were great. Coffee unlimited, vegetables, meat, boiled eggs, yogurt, sereals. No omelets or scrambled eggs, no sausage, otherwise it's a regular American style hotel breakfast.
Elevators are fast.
Everything worked in the room and it was clean. Beds were very comfy.
We highly recommend this hotel and we will visit again for sure.

We came to Berlin for the Berlin Marathon at the end of September and this hotel was a great location for the race. My stay in the Holiday Inn Express in City Centre-West was a lovely experience. Staff was very nice and attentive to our needs. The continental breakfast was amazing! fruits were fresh and nicely laid out for guests to serve themselves. The dining area seats plenty of people and is very clean. The hotel neighborhood was quiet, but lively enough with restaurants, and a huge mall about a 10 minute walk away. The rooms were a comfortable size, bathrooms were clean.and ample, and beds were comfortable. The front desk can call you a cab to the TXL airport, which is about 20 Euros. I have no complaints. I would definitely stay here again.

We were there to run Berlin Marathon. Was asking for a late check out for one of the two rooms, but told no. Reason = fully booked, all the rooms would be checked in < 3 PM (somehow they know that for a FACT, NO LATE ARRIVAL period) all their cleaning staff will leave at 2 PM sharp. Let’s not argue if all these were true or if anyone was lying. I just don’t believe any of that. We had to check out at 6 AM before the race, store bags with them. When returned from the race at 2:30 PM. It rained and we were all wet. We were asking for a few towels. The 2 front staff (1 lady and 1 guy) were willing to do so, but a lady in a back office was scolding them LOUDLY, saying we checked out already, they shouldn’t give us any towels… Are you in the hospitality business or not? We have been to Chicago marathon and Tokyo, all very accommodating, knowing we were there for marathon, running for hours, not this place. Is b/c Germany are like that? Can anyone tell me?

My general opinion of the place is, (for what i was there for that weekend), was it was ideally placed, the Reception staff & other staff were very helpful, friendly & pleasant. However, the only thing that the Housekeeping did was change the towels everyday (which wasn’t necessary on a 3 day visit), but things like tea/coffee etc wasn’t replaced. I requested this to happen twice at Reception, before finally the Receptionist went and fetched the items herself & gave them to me to take back to the room. The beds were not even re-made, i had to do them myself. Which wasn’t really a problem, but paying for a Service you would expect & then having to ‘do’ that service yourself was alittle annoying. However, the place was clean & tidy & those little things will not stop me from returning to that Hotel on my next weekends visit next Year, maybe several times too

I booked room for Folsom event in Berlin. It is decent property with decent breakfast. I booked room with queen bed and I was told, that I booked their standard room so basically depends of their availability. I guess it was mix up due to booking through third party. So I got twin bedroom. Reception could not do anything for that day, but offered room change next day. We got changed into double room and no issues after that. If you stay for one night only I'd recommend e-mailing them and confirming your room preference before arrival just to make sure. Breakfast was good. Might get a bit boring when you stay for a while, but plenty of cafes and restaurants in neighborhood.

Room was too crowded with furniture; place was dusty also evident in the lamp fixtures and wall decor.
A/C unit was blowing off hot air and was very loud. Needs replacement obviously.
Staff was ok; manager in charge that night seemed not happy with her job. I do have my expectations of people working in the hospitality industry. 😊😊😊

Fantastic hotel in central location

What a fantastic hotel. We arrived late and were greeted by Luca and the night porter. Both were extremely polite, efficeient and professional. This hotel is easily reached from the airport. Take the X9 to the terminus and change to the 100. 4 stops and hotel is on your left. The cost 2 euros 80cents(same ticket for both buses) Pay the driver, tickets are valid for 2 hours. When sightseeing cross the road and catch the 100 to most visitor attractions. The M29 takes you to the others and check point Charlie. A boat trip is also a nice thing to do. There are also many shops and restaurants near the hotel, however if you fancy a real Turkish kebab, turn right out of the hotel and take the 2nd left, kebab shop is on left. If you continue down the road, you will come to a big square with a gelateria and currywurst stalls. There is also a DE BE WE department store, 2nd biggest in Europe only to Harrods London. Go for it. Stay at this great hotel and enjoy Berlin.

Convenient place on quiet street.

The place is situated on quiet street despite the fact that it’s close to the shopping center as well all the transportation. It’s easy to commute from it as well there is station for see-sides boat cruse. Breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious with abundance of choices for cold cuts, breads, fruit etc. The rooms are compact and efficient. We did have to go through the fire alarm drill in the middle of the night , due to technical reasons, as we were told next day, when we asked at the reception. At least the fire alarm exists and hopefully works in case of need.
Overall, nice and convenient place to stay.

The woman at check in was probably the best hotel check in I have ever had. So sweet. While, there were no rooms available for early check in, she did hold our luggage and offered breakfast to us. The hotel is nice and in walking distance to a lot of stuff. The beds could have been better, but not the worst I've had.

Although we booked a queen room, we were initially given a twin which they changed after we went back to reception. Disappointing that the ice machine was broken and they would not give us any from the bar. Also, the phone system was broken. However, a good place to stay
