Room was still too warm and very noisy due to demolition taking place next to holiday. Was woken at 6.30am with noise and never given any warning of noise. The location is very nice. The hotel is new, comfortable and clean. The team is fantastic and ready to help! I recommend for sure and I would be back. The only point to review is the breakfast that is missing homemade things for example I missed eggs with sausage and different offers of fruits.

As it was my first trip to Berlin, an offer of advice about getting around including nearest underground and a street map would have enhanced the service I received on arrival.
Given the stiflingly high temperatures during the heatwave I was pleased that iced water was freely available in the main reception area. However on returning to the hotel after a long day hiking around the city I saw there was no iced water available. When I enquired - it was the same man who had checked me in- he said the hotel only offered the water up until 5.30 pm. This was odd since I had seen it available all the time I had been there. Afloat that time it was only 5.20 pm. Disappointing that no effort was made to even offer some water. It gave off an impression that the staff couldn’t really care less.

The hotel was located on one of the main boulevards, and had a private parking which was ideal for us. It was only 10min walk to U-station which was convenient to reach all the tourist spots. The room was compact and offered all what we needed. Reception staff was very friendly and helpful. Recommended!

There has been a small problem during my check in since they have given me an occupied room but then they have apologized by giving a complimentary gift. Overall ok but I think they can put a litter bin in the room. I like paricularly their default TV screen video( fire in winter, small aquarium in summer) both very relaxing

I booked the hotel under my name, but had to change my morning flight to an evening flight due to emergency at work. \"Hello, my friend reserved a room...\" \"What's your name?\" \"My friend reserved the room...\" \"Tell me your name\" \"My friend's name is ... ...\" \"I need your name!\" \"P******, D***\" .... .... \"I don't have your name on my system!\" \"I tried to explain the situation to you FOUR times and you just kept interrupting me! My friend reserved a room under his name, but he's not going be here 6 hours later. Can I give you the booking reference and check in first?\" The receptionist just went quiet at this point and she toned down afterwards to check my friend in but no apology whatsoever. Maybe it's the German attitude but for someone who's visiting Germany for the very first time, my friend said that it was the biggest disappointment. Also she put us into a room with one set of towels only, with no telephone in the room so I had to go down to reception to ask for a second set of towels. Yet, no apology was made to me. I guess it's the culture - I'll set things right but don't expect me to apologise.

staff was very nice and accommodating. room was simple, small but adequate. did not have a phone in the room and could have better bathroom amenities. even though there was construction in progress, it did not hinder nor bother staying there. It is located close to a train line and local shopping within walking distance so getting around the city was not a problem. Wi-fi was included free as well as an open bar down by the desk where you can have a mixed drink and sit anywhere in and out of the hotel due to the construction. Not a problem, but seemed generous enough.

WE are in our 70's so things were not a walkable as we had hoped. It would be find for younger people. Room was tiny. We took taxis a lot; Berlin has a special fare for less then 2K of 4 euros but you have to request it before they turn on the meter.

Hotel was nice, breakfast was a bit hit and miss. The rooms could have done with some amendments, for example the sink in the bathroom didn't have a plug as such and there was no visible way of filling the sink without it running away. The air conditioning controls didn't seem to do anything so it got quite warm at night. Otherwise it was a good base for the sightseeing that we were there for.

I just stayed here one night before flying home from Berlin after an enjoyable vacation. I like this hotel because of its location (near Ka De Ve and the Wittenbergplatz U Bahn station), and that it's one of the more affordable places to stay in Berlin. Room was clean and the hotel staff were very helpful and spoke english well.

Sleepless in Tiergarten
Staff could not have tried harder and all had a friendly helpful disposition from the outset-however it was the guests at this hotel (during an Easter weekend) -which let the Motel down.This led to 1 totally sleepless (easter Friday) and a further interrupted night (Sat) , which meant visiting Berlin for 2 of our 5 day at this end of town, we were very hagged!! Lots of door slamming into and during early hours of am (by 5 am -ish-I e-mailed One Motel, due to there being no tel. in room to reception etc). I went to Rossman's and got myself a packet of ear plugs after ascertaining a room change was not gonna be poss. As reported by other guests the Wi-Fi is extremely poor, sometimes non-existent and often very slow. The whole situation incl. the wifi gets a lot better when the hotel is empty ..so for us that was day 1 and day 5 i.e. not Easter. We had buffet breakfast on am-day 2- it matched the price- best was the FRESH fruit salad and also coffee machine coffee.

This was a good hotel. It was in a good location to reach the Victory Column entrance of the NYE party, was close to restaurants, and just down the street from Wittenburg U stop and Kadawe. It had free toiletries, working heating, ample hangers/shelves, and nicely designed colour theme. Only drawbacks are a lack of a fridge and safe. We were able to print tickets and boarding passes and store luggage after check-out for free. We never used the bar during our stay, but it looked very popular and the prices seemed reasonable. Reception was friendly and attentive too.

We were 4 people visiting Berlin for Silvester (New Year's eve). The hotel was well located. it took us less than 5 minutes by foot to reach KDW and lots of other shopping areas. also the second station of sightseeing bus is in front of KDW. which is very near. The hotel was new and very cleane and pretty. the breakfast was perfect and the staff were very friendly ( we were very late for breakfast but they waited for us to eat). the only downside was that the rooms didn't had telephone, but fotunatly the tv had an alarm.

Expectations met and then some!
Whenever we book accommodations in Europe, we book for cheap (affordable), cheerful and clean. Motel One, Tiergarten, offered all of this in large amounts! The room is small, but tastefully appointed. The fireplace which appeared on the TV when you entered the room was a nice touch. The location was also a good one for us as three day tourists. We were close to shops, restaurants, public transit and the \"hop-on, hop-off\" tours. We recommend paying for the breakfast upon arrival. It is an extensive and fresh buffet and priced competitively for the neighborhood, unless you're a bun-on-the-run breakfast eater. We didn't take the time to frequent the bar, but it seemed to have a lively and friendly atmosphere as did the lobby. The staff was always warm, efficient and ready to provide the information we needed. I will definitely consider Motel One in other locations when available.

I spent two nights at this hotel. The hotel was clean. The staff were somewhat helpful. My room was small, but I expected that, and it was comfortable and clean. The hotel did have wifi, but it did not work very well. I had a hard time signing on and then it would fade in an out. It should be upgraded. The hotel location was great. For the price you couldn't do better. If they improve there wifi and staff friendliness I think they could do better.

Really comfortable beds and extremely friendly service throughout the stay! My German is pretty terrible, but didn't even get round to embarrassing myself as all the staff spoke English (and a host of other languages, from what I overheard) perfectly. The condition and design of the interior throughout was impressive and made the place look and feel several echelons above the price we actually paid for our double room. The rooms themselves are not huge, but perfectly ample - bearing in mind you are not going to be spending too much of your stay confined to your room. The location is a short-ish walk from Zoologischer Garten and close to Kurfurstendamm, but I noticed other Motel One sites around Berlin if a different location was required. I would wholeheartedly recommend Motel One. We were only there for one night until our flight early the next day, but I would have happily stayed there longer.

Great stay for the money
Spent 4 nights in this hotel which was far better then what we expected from a 2.5 star hotel. Very helpful staff, rooms not big but clean & comfortable, no safe or phone in the room, close to most trains & city center and shopping areas. Only 20 minutes or so from airport. Great location for those looking to be able to relax and unwind after a day of touring the city sights. Nice lounging area and bar by lobby which is open 24 hours.

A good place to stay
Hotel was central and within easy walking distance to inner city. Bus stop around corner and able to buy day pass for all buses. Hotel buzzed all the time with loads of guests but once in room you were isolated. Our room overlooked back of hotel but was a pleasant outlook and very quiet. Wifi in lobby not a problem as there were lots of lovely leather chairs to sit in. Breakfast excellent. Hotel staff friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend as very good value or money.

Good, well-managed hotel, but short on charm.
A sleekly efficient hotel. It lacked the charm of the other Berlin hotel we stayed in, the Pension Columbus, but the room was clean and comfortable, though a bit cramped, the staff were helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. We arrived just after the Berlin marathon, and the place was mobbed with runners, but I have a feeling the place is always popular. The neighborhood was so-so, but it was around the corner from a U-Bahn stop and a short walk to the Tiergarten.

Great location and service
The location was incredibly convenient, just a few blocks from the subway station. The hotel itself was quite nice and the staff very helpful, but the air-conditioning didn't work at all. It was blowing air, but it wasn't in the least bit cool and this seemed to be normal. It was humid in the room, and we were roasting, so I'd avoid this hotel during a hot time of year if you don't deal well with the heat.

This hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. It is exactly as it says on the tin. Remember to have a read of what you get in the room though - there are no wardrobes (except a small rail behind the side of the bed) and no kettles/tea making facilities. The only issue I did have with the room was that the shower was unpredictable - it kept going hot and cold. The rooms are also very small! Apart from that we enjoyed our stay - perfect if you are just using your room to sleep in!!

Stylish but basic
Lovely clean affordable and stylish. The rooms were very stuffy as air conditioning is only switched on for the summer months and tea/coffee facilities in the room would be nice. No English speaking entertainment channels and sheets only changed 3 days into a five day stay were the only downsides.
