Estefania is the best!!

I want to highlight the exceptional service provided by Estefanía at the Front Desk. In all the hotels I’ve visited, she truly stands out as the best when it comes to customer service. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, but what made the experience remarkable was her attitude and dedication.

I arrived in the middle of the night, during the early hours of the morning, and even though the night shift can be very challenging, Estefanía was fully attentive, kind, and ready to help. I was hungry and with most restaurants closed, she went above and beyond by offering me snacks she had with her. That small but meaningful gesture showed her genuine kindness and her willingness to make guests feel at home. She has the rare ability to make you feel like family from the very first moment you arrive.

In addition, Estefanía’s professionalism, her ability to communicate in different languages, and her constant smile make her an invaluable employee. I sincerely want to thank her for her outstanding service. Every hotel should be fortunate enough to have someone as dedicated, caring, and attentive as Estefanía.

Air Conditioning was limited

The Air Conditioning temperature was not adjustable in the room, only the fan speed could be adjusted. We had to keep the blinds closed during the day in order for the room to be comfortable when we returned at the end of the day.

The property isnt really bad. However, my stay was ruined by my next door neighbors doing the deed all night long into the morning. And my TV didnt work so I couldn't drown out the noise. Beware: the walls are very thin.

Not a pleasant stay at an extortionate price !

I was disgusted by having to pay over 500 euros for a two night stay in what was a mediocre hotel
The room was adequate, but had no window, just a skylight with a view of the sky.
The sofa had a dangerously broken arm, and the dead lock on the door did not work, which turned out to be an issue on my first night
I was followed by an unknown man to my room who was obviously high on drugs and kept banging on my door to be let in. I reported this to reception at the time, but saw no action on their part. The following morning I reported it again to reception only to discovered that the man had gained entry to fellow guests room.
In addition there was only hot water available for one of the three days I was there, making my stay in Berlin very uncomfortable in not being able to shower.

This was a disaster - for the price, it is a terrible ripoff and in my case unsafe. 1) I was booked there for eight nights and was given the smallest room imaginable- not even a window! I complained and was given an even smaller room but w a window. This one didn’t have a fridge or and drawers to put my clothes. When you used the shower the entire bathroom floor got wet. The TV did not work in either room. They were not connected to the satellite service 2) no management on premises- only one person at the front desk-when you want to register a complaint they have to email someone and you to wait to to see if they respond 3) the breakfast was as meager as possible. Stale bread crusty eggs and the thinnest few slices of meat. My yogurt was past its expiration date. Definitely not worth the 17 euros! 4) housekeeper only changed towels-didn’t empty trash or make bed 5) the worst- one night someone knocked on my door rushed in my room and sat on my bed saying something in an Arabic language. He then laid on the bed. He was definitely high on something. I tried to calm him down not knowing if he had a knife or gun and then he left. I told the woman at the front desk and she said she had heard the same complaint from the person in the room over mine. While she told me she was sorry this happened I never heard from anyone from the hotel even though my life was potentially at danger. There is no security and darkened hallways. The property is virtually empty. Stay away!

I stayed two nights at this hotel and couldn't sleep at all due to the excessive noise coming from other rooms and the hallways. Guests were constantly slamming doors, and it felt like the hotel was full of people partying, making loud noise late into the night, up until 2:30 AM. They were laughing, shouting, banging on doors—it was unbearable. The hotel has no security personnel, and it feels unsafe with these disruptive and seemingly aggressive guests who have no respect for others.

To make matters worse, the room was extremely small, with no desk to work on a computer, the internet was painfully slow and insecure, and the bed's mattress was awful. I ended up with terrible back pain. This was an absolutely awful experience. I won’t be staying at this hotel ever again.

This \"four-star\" Hotel Quentin Design in Berlin states on its Expedia website that they provide Internet/Wifi, towels, blackout drapes, etc. (see below). However, when I arrived, there was no Internet/Wifi, bathroom soap, multiple towels, blackout curtains, etc. Please see below for the misleading and partially inaccurate description of the “Room Amenities” listed by this hotel on their Expedia webpage, which motivated me to book a double room at this hotel via Expedia.
I brought this to the attention of several people at the hotel Reception, both at check-in (and requested to be moved to another Quentin hotel, which was not acknowledged…) and at check-out, where the young woman at the Reception offered no apology, explanation, or even a partial refund.

Ich würde dieses Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen. Das Zimmer war nicht richtig sauber. Das Personal ist nett und hilfsbereit.
Die Location war für uns sehr gut. Die Bushaltestelle ist nicht weit weg. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Ich hoffe dass der Besitzer das Hotel besser pflegt, den um an sich ist es schon schön.

No bath in room, no clear heating options. Hotel staff made strange request not to ever have more than one guest in room despite this not supposedly being a one star hotel. Internet connection is spotty but works if you try to work with it harder than should be nexessary. Generally not worth the nightly rate of room paid.

Location: The place is easy to find, the neighborhood feels very safe even at night. There coffee shops and restaurants very close by and there's definitely a lot to see. There's also a grocery (Edeka) and two or three Apothekes (drug stores) nearby.
Most times of the night it was quiet and easy to sleep however there were a few minutes of disturbance as drunk parties passed through the street. I don't think this is very common though - it was the FCK game weekend.

Public Hotel Amenities: The lobby was clean and it led out to a small courtyard - we never used it (ie, went outside) but it looked well kept and a nice place to sit and relax if you woke up early / wanted to have a coffee.

Room Amenities: We booked one room with a King-Sized bed on the second floor. The room was well made and the bed was absolutely comfortable.
- The room came with an espresso machine and some pods for use.
- Enough sockets for charging the laptop & other devices,
- Wifi is decent,
- Air-conditioning / heating is centralized despite having the controls available in the room - it was hot
- The fridge does not get cold enough to chill drinks or fruits,
- We had a problem with the shower heater but this was because the handles signifying cold and hot were switched and so we bathed in ice cold water for 2 nights until we chanced upon the fix.

Staff: Extremely friendly and we could really see that they were keen to assist but there was not really much they could do with our requests (aircon, etc.)

Better choices out there

Booked a “twin/double room” and requested a twin, no confirmation but usually ok. Arrived at hotel to be told they do not have twin rooms at this hotel only doubles, no idea why they list them if this is the case!
Room was very noisy as the elevator door kept opening and closing constantly even without the call buttons being pressed, nobody seemed to know why. I suggested they call a lift engineer but during my stay nothing changed.
The room was very small but useable.
First morning we woke up to no hot water, went to reception and the lady apologised and rang maintenance. She informed me that this has happened before where the heat pump has tripped but would be a couple of hours before hot water was available… Wim Hof style morning it was to be!
Had to ask for hand towels as not provided, no tea or coffee only fruit tea provided in the room. Blind doesn’t cover the whole window so as soon as the sunrises the room becomes lit up.

Held our luggage for us before and after check in which was good, bed was comfy and lounge / bar area is good.

Would suggest avoiding if other places to stay but will leave you all to make your own mind up.

By far, the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I stayed in one of the rooms on the lower ground floor, and it was in a small corridor by the cleaning/housekeeping room, so was extremely noisy all day from 07.00 until 5pm with banging and shouting, and singing.

The corridor has a tiled floor instead of the usual carpet, so made the noise even worse, whereas a carpet would muffle it.

There was an alarm going off in the boiler room for 24 hours overnight , so thst made sleepong even more difficult.
There were about 5 or 6 other rooms in here, as well as a noisy lift door, so it was constantly in use.

Inside the room, the TV was broken, WiFi signal to week to work, and the walls we scuffed, marked and scratched.

For some reason there is a telephone in the showery room, but no hook to hang a towel on. Additionally the shower cubicle leaks water out, and there is no bath mat/towel provided, so you have to step out of the shower onto wet slippery tiles.

Aldo the shower cubicle and relaon hsd a string stink of mould and drains.

It's ironic this is called 'Design hotel' as it is the design that has let it down, by not thinking about how poor design impacts the guest experience.

Quentin Design hotel is located very centrally, close to public transport. A good range of shops and eateries located close by.

The room itself was quite disappointing. There were several issues with our room that both the hotel staff and Expedia could not help us with. While we had these things “looked into” we could not come to a solution and we dreaded coming back to the place each day. Major issues included: broken AC, leaking plumbing and cold showers. The bed was comfortable which was a plus.

The AC was broken, the room would heat continuously up to 26 degrees. Tv would not broadcast channels. Had lots of issues with the plumbing. Sink leaked, which was fixed. Shower did not work properly. There was no hot water for the first two days during our stay and very poor water pressure. Our room did not have a toilet door. The room was not serviced/cleaned during our stay. No laundry service, falsely stated on website. Basic things like milk, coffee, shampoo and bath mat/face towels, hand towels were not provided in our room. Also note that the rooms aren’t soundproof.

Good enough as a base, but needs a clean

Modern looking hotel and rooms and overall quite comfortable.

The breakfast was not great on the first day, better on the second and the third day there was \"an issue with the kitchen\" so no breakfast was offered meaning we had to . Thankfully a refund was sorted.

Cleanliness overall was ok, however our room was not very clean - dust all over the place, mug fallen down behind the safe and walls had a couple stains.

I would recommend for a quick stay, as it was great as a base and we didn't spend a lot of time there.

It was dirty. My mother caught Corona virus. The television wouldn't come on, the phone cable was ripped out of the wall, someone had taken off with the espresso machine. I complained each day and they never came to fix anything. The shower rod wouldn't stay up. Very unclean. Rude unhelpful people. And it was located in the homosexual red light district. Not a place for you and your 84 year old mother. The hotel claimed it was newly renovated, but it wasn't even finished. Most of the electric sockets didn't even work

The hotel is in an excellent location for me, easily walkable and close to public transit, good restaurants. Hotel staff were always friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and looks very good. The carpet on the stairs of my room was quite stained making it a little gross to walk on. Also, most of the electricity receptacles in my room didn’t work and were not fixed while I was there. We found one that did work but didn’t realize that when I turned off the master light switch, it also turned off the power to that receptacle. I ended up having to charge all my devices in the bathroom. Little things in the bathroom were in need of repair. That being said, I would return and can recommend this hotel.

The Quentin Design Hotel is in a superb location, just few minutes from the ubahn. Hotel is in a quiet street and has large rooms and tastefully decorated. Room let down with small wardrobe and no draws for clothes.
Staff were all very friendly, spoke excellent English. I’d like to mention Florrie who was kind enough to allow us to check out a bit later than the normal time.

Very welcoming staff! Bedroom was small but doesn’t matter as spent a lot of time exploring! We lost some baggage and they helped with the language barrier to call relevant people! Located only a short walk away from the metro it was perfect to access the city! The bedrooms were modern, and good amenities supplied.

Smart, stylish decor. Good sized bedroom with high ceiling, good storage space and very comfortable bed.
Amusing quirky features, like a large sliding mirror to use behind the sink or in the bath, and the large window from bedroom into bathroom!
Main drawback was noise - could hear ordinary conversations from next rooms and the street, and amazingly loud lorries bin-emptying and street sweeping woke us in the early hours on two mornings out of five.

Viel Geld für eine sehr kleines Zimmer ( 2 Pers..)
Im Zimmer war ein Doppelbett, rundherum bis zur Wand nur ca. 50 cm Platz.
Für zwei Personen vollkommen ungeeignet.
Zimmer 203 und sehr laut.
Der Nacht Receptionist wahr sehr ungepflegt ( Uniform nicht gebügelt).
Wir haben uns sehr unwohl gefühlt.Schade!!!

Hotel is a design hotel. It has its own style. The service is excellent the rooms are clean and air conditioned. One thing dough, the address in the app is wrong because the app kept us walking around. And because the building had no sign outside, it was so stressful for us to find it. It is best to get an Uber and you’ll find it easier.

I recently stayed at Quentin Hotel in Schoeneberg for 5 nights (February 4 to 9, 2019)
Pro: Great location - that's it - it all ends there.
Cons: The room was not cleaned at all for 4 days and the bed sheet and pillow cases were not changed during my whole stay. On my last day, I have to personally go to the reception to request for the room to be cleaned. When I get back in the afternoon, the only thing they did was to take out the trash/garbage - that is all. They did not clean the room and the bathroom at all. I have to request again for the second time for the room to be cleaned. It means I have to get out of the room while they try to clean it again. It wasted my time. They did not even said sorry or acknowledge that there was problem. There are other hotels in the area that have better service. Please avoid and do not stay.

Tiny isn't the word. But that is typical in Europe. THE AREA IS PERFECTLY FINE! It just happens to be in a heavily homosexual area is all. Everyone is friendly... I just doubt I'd bring kiddos around due to the overly visual sex shops two and three doors down. They could do better at the cleaning part as I found several hairs here and there. But over all its fine for a short stay with public transportation near by. Pretty much every bar in the immediate area is a gay bar, but the locals we ran into when we went out for a drink were perfectly friendly. Whoever wrote this was in a bad area is just being ridiculous and judgmental.

Great Location But Rough Around the Edges

It was fine. I've stayed at this hotel a number of times over the years because of it's location. When I first started doing so about a decade ago it was really quite nice. It's gotten a little rough around the edges since then, though, and it at this point the hotel is probably overdue for a major renovation: dirty carpet, LOTS of broken, tattered or worn fixtures and fabrics in the rooms. Or at least there were in my room. There are signs that some kind of renovation may already be underway; when I was there they were doing something with the elevator. But all that meant for my purposes was that I had to use the stairs. There's still a long way to go before it's really up to snuff again, though, especially given the prices they're charging.

Just enough room in the fridge for their bottles and candies they want you to buy. Breakfast is too expensive but many bars are nearby, it is a gay district but felt safe.
The building began renovation during our stay so no elevator service. We asked for free breakfast in exchange for incinvr’ience and they refused.

Under 10 mins walk from the U-Bahn station.
Speedy & friendly check in, took less than 5 minutes. Room was not too big but clean, tidy with a safe, fridge even air conditioning, brilliant for a 30C+ summer. Very comfortable bed with 2 pillows each, plenty!. Large windows with multi opening angles a plus too. Bathroom with showers only, all amenities, vanity mirror (with light), hair dryer and & scale were provided, nice! WiFi also good
We were here for the Stadfest which happens literally at the doorsteps. Our room was facing the nice backyard and NO noise! Front room can be asked for if you want to soak up the atmosphere. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops around.
If the immediate neighborhood is not enough, Schoneberg city centre was a 10 min walk where everything can be bought, the biggest deparment store KaDeWe is there.

We had a quiet room on the top floor with a sky window. Allwe could see was sky. The room was a little cosy so it felt a bit claustrophobic.
It wasn’t spotless but adequate. Everything in the room worked well ok
Breakfast choice was adequate with something for everyone but don’t expect a fry up.
Location great for bars and restaurants
Just keep your children’s eyes away from the fetish shop windows.
The area felt clean and safe, perfect distance from two U-Bahn stations

It's a looking tired and worn in places

Stayed in December, shower was broken, heating/air con not working, sink cracked, these issues were reported. Stayed over easter and got the same room by chance. None of the faults reported in December had been fixed/rectified. Not good enough for the price bracket charged. Surly staff did not help. Hotel tired needing a refresh.

Great location

The Hotel is near several different transportation facilities and makes getting around the city easy. At night the area is vibrant, but you can still get a good night’s sleep. My room was quite small, so you have to be willing to improvise. There were a number of very good restaurants and other businesses that made eating out fun.

Great hotel in a great location. Great, friendly staff.

Minor quibbles: was on the 5th floor and the lift seemed to take ages to arrive. Also, the shower could have been better - more like standing under a tap.

Small quiet hotel excellent location

We had a very good stay at this hotel. It is well located, about 500 meters from two underground stations. The hotel itself is small and quiet and it is located in a quiet neighborhood.
It's a short walking distance from the main shopping street and the Ka-De-We. There are restaurants in the area and a few supermarkets.
The hotel staff was very friendly, helped us with directions to attractions and with other requests we had. Breakfast is nice with a large variety of bread, cheese and more.
We asked for and received a kettle to take to the room, to make for ourselves coffee and tea.
The room is nicely designed, clean, spacious and comfortable.

Good value little hotel in great area!

NIce little hotel in a good area. Clean, quiet and value for money. The heating wasn’t working properly but we just opened our windows and it was fine. Lots of lovely restaurants and cool cocktail bars in the area.

Great Staff and Location

I've stayed here a number of times. It can't be beat for location if you want to be near the gay pubs.
The staff is always friendly and attentive. The rooms are a bit worn is the only down side but they are always clean and smoke free!

Never again...

Awful experience from check-in to check-out. No water pressure on the 5th floor. On a daily basis mid-shower the hot/cold water would stop, and then when it started again would only produce cold water. The shower flooded the bathroom floor, and house keeping did not change bed sheets or towels, and simply rehung wet towels rolled up in a ball for replacement on the hanger. The room was dusty, especially on top of the wardrobe closet. A plastic room key was misplaced, and the front desk demanded 5 euro to replace the card, which was not stated in the signed contract. Upon check out at 5am, the 24 hour desk was not staffed, leaving a queue of 3 guests attempting to make their taxi's to the airport. Will not go back there again, but great location.

Nice from a far, but far from nice.

This hotel looks great in the pictures, but the reality is that it is less than average. It's hard to say what part of the hotel didn't meet expectations. It was almost that everything was below average. The shower head was cheap, the towels were small (and not soft). No room service and the mini bar was just a few drinks. If you just want a bed, then this will probably be ok. But just don't expect much.

Great location, good value, basic, clean room

In a great location, a few minutes walk from all types of bars and restaurants. The hotel itself has a few different types of rooms. I stayed in a value double. It was very small, but had most of the amenities you'd expect, though an iron and a kettle would have been great. I also felt anothe r set of towels would have been good a short there wa only 1 towel each. Beds are small but comfy. Rooms can get very warm despite the air con so we opened it he window. I got 3 insect bites that night, so be warned!

Get the bigger room... it's worth the extra $

The staff is very nice- hotel is convenient clean (for the most part) and great location. In the heart of the gay area of berlin... lots of sidewalk cafes and shops along with many bars and clubs.
The small rooms are interesting. The first one I was in was a bit bigger than the last one I ended up with... both of the showers leaked all over the floor when used just normally... so sopping up a lake off the floor every time you took a shower got old fast. The mattress was quite comfortable. The sheets and spread were odd but functional just be prepared to get two seperate comforters wrapped in a sheet that's like a pillowcase for each side of the bed. Like I said, it's odd but works just dandy once you figure it out.
Fridge right in the room was very handy and the prices on stuff in it was less or equal to going to the store so that was a pleasant surprise.
All in all... it was great for the price. Little quirky- being woken up by construction noise next door the first two days didn't impress... but that wasn't their fault and they moved me to a new room no problem when I asked. New room quieter... but much smaller too. Little cramped but it worked.
Def would stay here again... but would spring for the big room that my friend had. That was beautiful.

Fantastic hotel

Book the larger room, spend the extra few dollars, it entirely changes the experience. Friends stayed in a standard room and hated it's small size. This hotel is well appointed, has a very healthy breakfast, and is close enough to walk to everything if you're in at least average health. If you're young and fit this is by far the best deal in Berlin. Just make sure you leave any prejudices at home! Very eclectic neighborhood.

All in all it was a great stay. My room was on the 1st Floor which was handy as the lift was broken from the 2nd day onwards. There are unfortunate located rooms on the Ground floor...right next to the lift. So my recommendation would be to mention not to have a room on the ground floor upon booking. The room was contemporary, clean and it was cleaned daily. Complimentary bathroom amenities were provided and the room also had a safe and an air-conditioning (which is not that common in german hotels). All the staff at the reception was friendly and helpful. Great location in the \"rainbow quarter\".

Small room, bathroom flooded

The shower didn't drain properly and consequently the bathroom and some of the bedroom flooded. Rooms were small and a little dusty. Lift incredibly slow. No coffee/tea facilities in room. Friendly staff and good location. Bed was comfy.

The backyard was nice to relax in. Very close to all gay stuff to do. On the 5th floor it's a little difficult to open and close the windows because they are on the roof. Hallways are wood floor which makes sounds echo through the room door. Was a little difficult getting in and out of the bathtub because of narrow space and water gets everywhere.

I booked a one night stay and got the date mixed up, people make errors all the time. Hotel didn't offer to help just left me to pay for another night. 1 night stay for the price of 2

The hotel lobby looks good, We had a very small room, no space for luggage. Clean and nice but small, and we are two tiny people, can't image someone going close to 6 feet. One thing I missed in all reviews and info is that this hotel is located in a GLBT neighborhood. Train stations are close

Tired hotel with a generally indifferent staff. The location is really convenient. The rooms are fine. Basic and tidy but nothing special. If you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your room this place is fine.

The room was tiny. It was clean. But it all feels a bit old and there are no amenities at all. Cheap b ut would not go there again.
