Wonderful hotel, room was really big and bed very comfortable and lots of lovely Rituals toiletries in the bathroom.
We had a bottle of fizz and cake left in the room to celebrate my husbands birthday. The staff were very polite and helpful.
The buffet breakfast was great and set you up for the day. We had dinner in Beef 45 in the hotel and that was amazing too.
I would definitely stay again as its near lots of transport hubs to get around the city.

This is my second time staying at Hotel Palace Berlin & I absolutely love it! The staff are accommodating and friendly and the breakfast buffet is over the top fantastic!

I started the army in Berlin back in the 80s before the wall fell and we like to come back every two years. Every time I stay at this hotel and every time it never disappoints. The location cannot be beat. The staff the accommodations all top-notch.

Great place to stay - right beside Berlin zoo.
Good food, staff are very helpful. Rooms comfy and their House Of Gin is definitely worth a look.
The hotel sots between Wittenbergplatz and Zoo Stations so great hub to get about the city from.

There is nothing to not like in this hotel.
Staff are exeptional, the building is immaculate -- as always, I've been going here for 13 years.
The breakfast & food is superb, as is the gin bar & restaraunt.
Receptionists are great, avaialble and experts in welcoming & helping you.
The upgraded wing is just outstanding.
This hotel is a 7 star experience for me.

What a fabulous hotel. From the moment we checked in asking a hundred questions about where to eat, times of the spa opening etc, the staff were so patient and accommodating.

We were on the fifth floor and had an amazing view out onto the city. I'm an early rise - and watched the sun rise several mornings. It was so peaceful - even though the bustle was starting below us.

The breakfasts were awesome - and there was something for everyone from fruit, fresh breads, meats and so much more. We were greeted by the same friendly waiter each morning.

We ate at the main restaurant one night - it's not cheap but my goodness is it worth it. The entrance alone is to be experienced. Once again, we had an exceptionally attentive waiter and the presentation of the food, plus the quality was exceptional.

On the last day we made time for the spa and the swimming pool, something I'd wanted to do since we got there. We also paid the extra 15 euros to use the saunas and steam rooms and had that entire area to ourselves. The pool was clean and warm and surrounded by mosaics on the walls.

Nearby to the hotel is a small shopping centre, that's quite eco-friendly and looks over the zoo. If you get the chance - go to the Dawn for lunch - you won't regret it!

Hotel Palace Berlin is a true gem - if you are going to Berlin it is well worth staying here!

Disappointed

After a good stay at the hotel, I was surprised to be charged extra for an alleged lavish dinner. After proving there was a mistake and leaving for the airport, they charged me again. I'm disappointed in such behaviour from a 4- or 5-star hotel, and I'm waiting for clarification from the management.

Our stay at Hotel Palace Berlin was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the incredibly friendly staff. A special thank you to the gentleman at the reception, who mentioned he was new—he was fantastic! We had originally booked a room with a bathtub, but the one available at check-in didn’t have one. He immediately arranged an upgrade for us, which we truly appreciated. His kindness and professionalism made our stay even better.

The breakfast was simply outstanding—one of the best we’ve ever had! The selection was incredible, with something for everyone, no matter their preferences. Whether you prefer sweet, savory, healthy, or indulgent options, you will definitely find what you love. It was an absolute dream to start the day with such a fantastic meal.

We also loved spending time in the lobby, where we could sit back, relax, and enjoy a drink in a beautiful and comfortable setting. The entire hotel had such a welcoming and elegant atmosphere, making us feel completely at ease.

The spa area was another highlight of our stay. The pool was fantastic, perfect for unwinding after a day in the city. The sauna area was absolutely worth the €15 fee—pure relaxation in a beautiful setting! It was the perfect place to recharge and enjoy some quiet moments.

Another big plus was the excellent public transport connections.

Overall, our experience was flawless.

Service was terrible.

Bathroom smelled of sewage, housekeeping came to do a deep clean and there was no longer a smell. Yuck!

Beds not as described. Shower is so tiny you can’t turn around.

Club lounge opens at 12pm and there are no snacks/food until 3pm.

Pool is quite cold & Spa Tub it attached so it’s the same temperature. 15Euros pp to use the sauna.

Checked out 3 days early due to many other issues.

2-3 stars at best.

Fantatic Hotel, with fantastic staff. We were upgraded when we arrived, so we definitely started off on a positive. Breakfast was amazing, we didnt need to eat again until our evening meal. The room was a little on the warm side, but that's not a major issue. If you get the chance, eat in the Beef 45 restaurant, expensive but extremely worth it. Pool is lovely but as with all pools a bit slippery. Zoo is opposite and Brandenburg Gate is a leisurely 45 min stroll through the park. We hired scooters, 15 mins and so worth the 6 euros.

Perfect hotel for a weekend City Break

Would highly recommend this hotel.. Great location, near U-Bahn and lots of shops and restaurants. Room was comfortable , clean, spacious and quiet and bathroom had great bath and shower. We used the pool, which was a decent size and facilities were all clean. Breakfast buffet was extensive and really great that at the weekend it was available until midday. Beef45 food also delicious and beautifully served.

3 room 3 flops, to many problems

After 3 room changes i was not prepared to change again and demanded that the technical issues get fixed.
Room was over hot all the time (all rooms) and no control only open window.
Manager told me that they are not a 5 star hotel as they have no start anymore \"we don't believe on the expense\".
Problems:
1) HOT HOT HOT!
2) broken towel warmer, danger to electrocution.
3) broken plug in sink.
4) no toilet paper open for the client to use, self service.
5) old shower head that did not stay up, so you need to hold it in up all during your shower.

I got a 50% off my last night as compensation and some food as sorry but only after I was very upset with the manager. I do not want free food or discounts I want a working room with temperature control and good service. why advertise as 5 starts if you have zero stars!
One worker as I was moved rooms told me \"yes it hapends often many guests ask to move rooms\".
Sad it used to be a good hotel 12 years ago now I will never come back even if for free.

Easy to get to hotel. Main railway and underground a few minutes away. The bus stop for the 100 bus even closer.
Check- in fine and welcoming. Pleasant lobby.
Lifts and corridors as well as rooms bright and clean and comfortable. Even a telephone by the lavatory in the bathroom.

No problems particularly except on our first morning someone cane in to the room without knocking our speaking whilst we were in bed. No explanation or apology. Further the tea sachets were not replenished and there was no milk for the tea. This I thought a little below 5*.
Plenty to do in the immediate vicinity, likewise plenty of places at which to eat and shop.
Pleasant lobby in which to relax.
Check-out ok even at 4.20am.
Would stay here again if I could obtain a favourable rate.
