The rooms needs complimentary water as a basic in this day and age.

The hotel lack of room facilities including no phone that i could see. No water . Kettle etc. I would have given a 7 ratings however staff at reception was exceptional and hanna positive attitude made me put a better rating in the end.

Only bad review not even a small bottled water available at the room, no information if water from the top is drinkable and staff at the reception while doing check in, didn’t know about hop on /hop off touristic bus, not much knowledge about the sites of interest to see around the hotel area, quite disappointed

This is the third of the chain's hotels in Berlin that I stayed in. Like the other two which are near Alexanderplatz) - it features great value for money. It is somewhat hip, basic, no-frills accommodation, and I often need no more certainly for a business trip. Nice simple breakfast on the 10th Floor that at night turns into a bustling huge bar + lounge + terrace. I did not see any staff except at the front desk and they were nice and accommodating the two times I needed something I highly recommend this property.

Great comfy bed. Fab location. Value for money!

Low cost hotel stay but everything you need for a weekend break. Room was small for two people, but we were not in the room for very long so not a problem. The lack of wardrobe was a little annoying. But the bed was really really comfy. And the shower was great and powerful. Absolutely great location, right next to the station to get around. And plenty of places to walk to. I would 100 percent recommend for a mini break as long as you do not expect to be relaxing for hours in your room.

Very nice. Was surprised and delighted to find that the Weihnachtsmarkt (Yule Season Nighttime Marketplace) was almost right outside the door. So a good choice for a December visit!
I was in town for a conference, and found the location to be convenient. The hotel was very stylish and modern. Breakfast was better than most. Room was nice. Staff was friendly and professional. Overall a very good choice.

Weekend trip to Berlin

Room very clean and bed comfortable. Not much of a wardrobe but we just had back packs so not an issue. Not tea and coffee facilities in the room, not an issue for us, but may bother some people. Bathroom compact but very nice. Great location, lots around and easy to walk to in this part of Berlin. One strange thing was they had a planned power cut for 4 hours on the Saturday. No lifts available which I didn’t think was very good with guests there. We were still out then so it didn’t affect us but would a lot of people I imagine

Fantastic hotel! Great terrace where you can almost touch the Gedächtnis Kirche!! Everyone was extremely friendly and ready to help (not a given in Berlin). Only minus point was the poor air circulation and heat control in the room which made the night a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise top! Will definitely visit again.

Disgruntled in Berlin Upper West

The location is excellent, the building spectacular, the bar area is very trendy and the terrace overlooks one of the most famous landmarks in Berlin. The rooms are basic (no kettle, no wardrobe, no dressing gown etc) but that's ok - it is a Motel after all. All of these things are fine. But the booking system and the check in for myself and my guests was a nightmare. I had two separate parties coming to Motel One Upper West for two workshops. I booked my guests in for these nights, and then some of them booked extra nights themselves so they could come early to enjoy Berlin. The system clearly couldn't cope with that. In spite of me covering off in advance the exact arrival times/days of all my guests - via 3 emails and 1 phone call - two of them were told they had no booking when they arrived and therefore no rooms, and one was told he had to prepay the whole stay before he could have a room. When I arrived at the hotel/motel it was finally sorted out with a refund for my disgruntled guest and me paying for everyone's stay in advance. A total of 4200 Euros (£3500.) My guests and I were offered one free beer each for all this hassle, but not anything else - the barman curtly informed us that we would have to pay for that ourselves. Summary: great location, decent accommodation, but the efficiency of the systems and the service culture still leaves a lot to be desired...

Everything was great. The air conditioning did not really work all the time. But nothing to bad since we were not at the hotel the whole day. They have an excellent reception staff. Would stay again and would recommend to everybody to so as well. Also, great location. Breakfast was great also. Would like to see some more variety in eggs not just boiled eggs.

DO NOT STAY HERE.

Unfortunately an extremely bad experience here.
I had my phone stolen the morning of checking in here, my friend was also staying here in a different hotel room. I had absolutely no way to contact him, and after checking in taking my money they told me they could not call his room to let him know I was there (even though I knew he was in the hotel in the room waiting for me to let him know I had arrived, he did not know I had my phone stolen.)
They directed me to an Internet cafe 3KM away which was VERY hard to find with no maps and unfortunately my German is not great.
Once I spoke to my friend I found out he had been looking for me also and had asked at reception for them to let him know when I arrived, as he realised something was up.
I did not stay here, and decided to fly home that night instead of spending a night in Berlin that I was really looking forward to. So unfortunately I did not use the room so cannot comment on the cleanliness.
A really unfortunate experience made 10x worse by the unhelpfulness of the staff here.
Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else, as you may find yourself in the same situation as me.
I use hotels.com quite a bit and I have never ever had an experience like this. Most hotel staff will go above and beyond to help you, not the case here.

Motel One -- a great start to enjoying Berlin!

I really enjoyed the stay. The room was spacious. The bathroom had plenty of room. There were big windows allowing a lot of natural sunlight. The windows didn't open but a neat narrow \"door/slot\" opened that let in fresh air. While I didn't use this capability, there was a smart TV allowing you to access the internet via your computer. The breakfast buffet was good -- a lot of choices -- and although there were many tables, it could get a bit crowded during primetime breakfast (8ish am). Fun coffee machine; meat/cheese; hard boiled eggs; nutella/jams/bread; cereals; yogurt. Location was fantastic, just a short walk from the zoo, which is in a large park, sort of like New York's Central Park - -where I would jog through in the morning. I would stay there again!!!

I didn't have much direct experience with the \"service\" other than my room was clean; the lobby was clean; breakfast was pleasant; check-in / out was easy.

We only stayed one night (after I learned there really aren't night trains anymore and needed to extend stay in Berlin by one night)... The location was very convenient to a main focus of this visit to Berlin (Zoo Berlin) and with an S Bahn stop very clise by, convenient to other places we wanted to visit, the staff was very friendly (coordinating cab pick up for a fairly early morning flight), and the room (while not super spacious... Plenty for occupying it for less than 24-hours though) was very clean, layed out well, with a wonderful view!

The hotel is immaculate, very trendy, stunning bar and lounge area and friendly staff. The rooftop terrace is stunning with great views over berlin. Very central and a great location for us as I was running the marathon.

Unfortunately our smart TV didn't seem very smart as it worked when it wanted to and switched off randomly (room 1250 for any member of staff to assess and fix the tv)
I would have liked tea and coffee facilities in the room, I find it strange that hotels of this price don't have complimentary hot drinks and water either in the room or lobby.

If anyone is staying in the near future, I would ask for a room facing the zoo direction and not the 'starbucks' direction to avoid 7am construction wake up calls everyday. Super loud but no fault of the hotel's.

Overall, great hotel, would just benefit from the small touches such as refreshments in the room or lobby, to make it a really great hotel.

Very pleasent stays and happy to go back again

Location is superb, the metro is literally just outside the hotel. Lobby and rooms are clean;comfortable lighting with very stylish design! I've already booked my next visit with this hotel in June! If you want a nice area but further away from the downtown, this is the only hotel you should go to! One of the lobby reception guy (didn't get his name) was very friendly too, he even initiated and showed me where's the supermarket by leaving his desk, just to make sure I got the right direction.

Great film themed budget hotel right in central Berlin.
This is the second time that I have stayed here and I will probably do so again
Two minor negatives are that the rooms are ‘very’ small, fine if you are alone but would be extremely snug for a couple.
The second is that although there is a great bar and the staff are very friendly, the bar service is extremely slow. Having to wait almost 10 minuets to get served and the same to pay is poor. However the views from the bar and roof terrace are great.
Breakfast was great value, fresh and tasty.
The staff were all extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming.

Sleek and modern hotel located right next to the Christmas Market. Although the rooms were on the small side, they were very comfortable, with great decor, and very clean. I was impressed with the smart television in the room, and I was able to stream Netflix from iPad onto the TV. Staff were very nice and accommodating.

Wonderful stay!

This is a wonderful hotel and a very convenient location. Close to subway, buses and city tours. The staff was super-friendly, I arrived early in the morning after a long cross-atlantic flight, and I was able to check in at 9 AM. The room was on the small side, but very nicely decorated with a comfortable bed. The hotel had just opened up several months ago, so everything was still nice and fresh. There were floor to ceiling windows that offered a wonderful city view. Breakfast was ample and very tasty. I would definitely stay at that hotel again.

A stunning rooftop bar and breakfast spot!

The hotel is brand new and really well put together. Super spotless and clean, a lovely room with a super view and the service was outstanding. Its very relaxed and the bar area on the 10th floor where you can also have breakfast is so relaxed... your free to have your breakfast anywhere in the bar area and it felt very special. Looking forward to staying again.

Brand new location for Motel One, so everything is in great condition. I chose for double bed in single room--there's about 1 foot on either side of the bed. Breakfast not included. Bar with big, gorgeous terrace on 10th floor. Nice bath with good shower. Problem is space--the clothes rail holds two (yes, TWO) hangers, and there re two hooks. Bath has very limited space for toiletries. One shelf in room,less than a foot wide and up high so easy to leave anything there behind. Not a drawer to be found. I had to move furniture to open suitcase on the floor. But the design is great, the crowd is hip, and everyone seems happy with what they're getting and doing. Just east of Zoo Station, so excellent location, though half the street was closed for roadwork at the time. Good value for money. Plus, a/c.

Zimmer einer niedrigeren Kategorie zugewiesen bekommen. Trotz Bitte um leises Zimmer eines direkt unter der Bar/Küche, Lärm war bis nach 1 Uhr und ab 5 Uhr wieder deutlich zu hören.
Beschwerde soll per Website laufen, innerhalb 4 Tagen aber keine Antwort.
