Great hotel in an excellent location

Really friendly, comfortable hotel in a great location. The room was spacious and well equipped, and the gym was small but a very welcome bonus. Super location, close to a variety of restaurants and coffee shops, and only a few minutes walk to Ubahn/Sbahn/trains. Would definitely recommend and would be happy to stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay here, lovely hotel in general and the staff were amazing couldn’t fault them, especially loved the hotel dog!!:)

We did read some reviews before we arrived regarding no air conditioning in the rooms which worried me, I do understand this wouldn’t be a problem for many months of the year but it just so happened we booked the room for mid September time and whilst there the temp reached 25/26 degrees, so air con definitely would have came in handy as the ceiling fan didn’t really do much in all honesty.

Was a lovely area nice, quiet and safe with many bars and restaurants within walking distance which we enjoyed however it was quite a bit out from other sites we wanted to visit which required a good bit of travel which also wasn’t ideal with the heat so just keep that in mind if booking during summer season.

Also didn’t opt for breakfast because it was quite expensive compared to other cafes etc near by

But despite the above the hotel itself was lovely and overall did really enjoy our stay! Thankyou

Absolutely loved this place. Really comfortable rooms (more like a small condo). Nice back yard space to sit and have a morning coffee. Lots of great restaurant options within a couple of blocks. Easy walk to three U-bahn and S-bahn stations (Ernst-Reuter-Platz, Savigny-Platz and Zoologischer-Garten). Helpful and friendly staff.

My home away from home! What an amazing stay in this very well set up hotel/apartment. The reception desk was very attentive, allowed early check in and provided me with orientation to the area. The studio with balcony and garden view exceeded my expectations. I was able to come “home” and relax, cook something on the stove, make my daily breakfast. Spacious and quiet (only birds wake you up in the morning). There’s no front desk after hours but instructions were clear. I really felt very much at home. Close to two SBahn stations, just 25 min to the Berlin cube convention center. Excellent internet service

An absolute pleasure to stay here. Room with balcony. Kitchen, everything we needed for a few days stay. Lovely to have free drinks in the fridge and also a hand written note to say enjoy your stay. Those little things count. Comfy beds and peace and quiet. A lovely part of Berlin with beautiful gardens to walk around. All staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again and would also recommend it.

Really wonderful stay... didn't expect the size of the flat to be so large, but it was really wonderful. In a quiet neighborhood adjacent to an area with a lot of local shops and galleries. (Like the phenomenal bakery, Zeit für Brot) Quick to all destinations.

Price was amazing for such a really special accommodation that would actually be really nice for a couple or small family.

My only feedback is wishing the absolutely stunning dining room could draw in more people.

The Townhouse was I general, very good and clean. It was close to public transport and the zoo. I deliberately booked this location on the basis of parking available, but was not told at booking in that it was limited and cost $20 euros a night. Ashame!

We loved our stay at Townhouse. Seamless out of hours check in and out. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated and a fantastic size. The bed was really comfortable and the shower excellent.
We ate breakfast in the hotel once and it was excellent. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Although I didn't get to use it the fitness suite was a great addition, and the laundry room a real bonus.
The area was lovely and quiet with a short walk to the S and U Bahn. Plenty of lovely options nearby for drinks and dinner too. Will definitely return!

Great place to stay in Berlin, especially if you have business at the nearby University. The courtyard is quiet, the breakfast decent, the rooms feel clean and contemporary. There is an excellent Laundry Room, a cool gym, and a fast elevator. Reception is only from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, not 24 hrs. We would definitely come back!

I know I will do no justice to this place when I make a review, but let's try.
First things first: I had never ever been to Berlin. I got off the subway, took the S9 subway line and got off at Zoologischer Garten station in less than an hour, and navigation showed me a pretty straight route to the hotel. I found it like I knew the whole city.
I stayed at the Balcony Suite. The suite was gorgeous. With a king sized bed, a very nice dining setting that provided every utensil you'd need to cook or heat your food. And then, as someone who LOVES to drink, I was informed that the first round of the mini bar was totally complimentary... Then also found a nespresso machine with a couple of coffee capsules at hand, and the best potato chips I've ever had in my life...
The shower was another thing. All the beauty products placed in the bathroom -the shampoo, the shower gel, body lotion...- all were from high class brands. I loved one in particular and wished it was also sold in my country! I easily managed the shower arrangements with the heads and also loved the warmth level of the water.
It was around 9-10 degrees when I stayed, but the heaters worked pretty well and fine. I never felt cold.
I was never disturbed in the peace of my room. And the area was super safe, the hotel was pretty quite.
I LOVE this experience and I'll definitely stay here again if I ever come to Berlin. Thanks for everything!

The property is centrally located with easy access to trains amd transportation. It has many wonderful restaurants within walking distance, along with grocery stores and other amenities. There is also a quiet Courtyard off their restaurant which is a nice place to sit and relax, although it is only accessible when the restaurant is open. Be aware if you are there when the weather is hot, there is no AC, only a ceiling fan, so it can get a little warm. The staff are friendly and helpful. We arrived late, after hours, but all instructions were clearly laid out ahead of time. Checking in and out was quick and easy. We would most definitely stay here again.

It was a bit awkward for our late check in (due to a late flight) as the reception closed at 9pm or 10pm. It wasn’t clear on the web site !
However after contacting the reception three times we were able to arrange for the key cards to be left in a secure box outside the building.

Good hotel with booking problem

The hotel is very conveniently located, very quiet and has very comfortable and large rooms. The only problem with the rooms is very dim lightning, so much so that it is difficult to read in the room. A good light would have made the room perfect. Sadly we also had a problem with the booking and didn't get the big room we reserved 2 months in advance because of overbooking. So, for 2 out of 5 days we stayed in a smaller room. The hotel management compensated us with a discounted price and free breakfast, so we left with a good feeling and would come back, even though we were very disappointed in the beginning. This was a family vacation and we needed the bigger room. I hope this is a one time mistake. The hotel itself is really perfect.

We checked in late evening and our room was lovely, except it was missing towels and some complimentary beverage times. By the time we had realised, the concierge desk was closed for the day, so unfortunately we had to wait until the next morning to let staff know. They were prompt to rectify the items and we enjoyed the remainder of our stay. It was overall a convenient place to live, and as I have dietary needs having an equipped kitchen to use was great.

Perfect marathon accommodation

We rented a studio-type room primarily so that we could cook a meal the night before the Berlin Marathon. To this end, the room worked perfectly and we were able to host our friend as well!
On a general note, the hotel is in a great area - very well connected for transport options but also there was a big choice of cafes, bars and restaurants. The area felt really safe.
The staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful. We will definitely rebook for the marathon next year.

The rooms are wonderfully spacious with mini kitchens and the hotel is within walking distance of the zoo and KaDeWe. However, room service must be asked for on a daily basis. We had to ask for towels, garbage withdrawal and in essence do the maid service. While I would accept this shortcoming again, because of the location and room size, perhaps there are others who may be more put off by this lack of complete service. Although breakfast is included and very good.

Handy to all facilities in central Berlin

Handy to various U-ban and S-ban and bus to/from Tegal airport, supermarkets and restaurants. Large/clean room, laundry and ironing in basement. Garden at back lovely for summer. Only problem/hesitation is WIFI access. None for 3 days in room 6.2. Moved to room 3.2 - WIFI but slow. Helpful staff saying upgrade being done. Check before u book if u need SPEEDY WIFi.

Perfectly acceptable accommodation for the price. Advertised as having blackout curtains, but the office area next to the bed had thin and gappy venetian blinds letting plenty of light through and waking us up at sunrise. The standard pillow is very poor (you have to pay extra for a decent pillow) so we rolled up the duvet to use as extra support. Luckily we didn't need the duvet as the room was so hot (no air-conditioning!) and we didn't want to open the windows to be kept awake by city noise. Soundproofed rooms to protect from neighbour noise reasonably effective, but there were children running up and down the corridors until late, which we didn't appreciate! The staff here were lovely though and Berlin is absolutely awesome!

Very nice and spacious room, very clean and modern. Very quite too, and with good bedding. The WIFI worked nicely overall.
It was very good - but some minor details could have made it better, more welcoming.

I was quite disappointed that there would not be a clothe iron and ironing table in this kind of studio. As well, it's a pity to not include a single coffee pod or tea bag while including a machine in the room. It would feel more welcoming than having to go to the bar to buy some for 50 cents each of the first morning.

Very well located and convenient with short walk to S-Bahn and U-Bahn, restaurants, shops and Deutschoper. I arrived late(after 11pm due to late train) and night reception wrongly said I had no booking even though it was fully pre-paid but he did give me basic room for the night and it was all sorted out the next day.

Warning! Time share, not hotel! Some rooms gross!

Awful stay! Carpets in hall disgusting, no housekeeping--unless you want to pay 25 euros extra. A drunk person blundered into our room at 1 a.m. one night; apparently the security guard had given him a key (???). Turns out this isn't a hotel but a time-share. Now they tell me! That would explain why some reviews are awful and others good--if you luck out, you get to stay in a room owned by someone who gives a darn.

The hotel is very comfortable and in a quiet area but surrounded with restaurants. Our reception was good and quick access to room. Friendly staff, though they are not much help with touristic info as they hardly have any clue.
Pros:
Quiet area but near to the hop on off bus station. About 10-15min walk.
Same bus station place offers great shopping area with memorial church and Bikini Berlin as main attractions.
Vegetarian/vegan Indian restaurant close by. Food is quite good.
Rooms are good size. Bathroom size nice. Bed comfortable. There was even a standing fan in the room. Kitchen small but was ok for two people. Not sure about bigger families.
Cons:
No room cleaning while you are there, they do it only once a week. It costs 25€ if you ask for one. You end up cleaning your own toilet and taking your own trash out! Even extra towels etc. cost you. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.
There is no board for reception anywhere, you get confused where to go.
The reception is open only from 6am to 11pm on week days and on Saturday and Sunday until 6pm. If you are stranded at airport or couldn't make it on time, you are on your own!
Breakfast is bare minimal. If you like more, make your own.

Not sure if it was worth the money, but we loved Berlin and enjoyed it very much!

Good location, friendly staff and nice room

The hotel was everything I suspected from the pictures. The apartmen was big and very nice.
We arrived at the hotel in the morning, and the room was already ready for us, even though we arrived 6 hours earlier than check-in time.
The service was high and the staff very friendly.
It has a very good location. Only 20 minutes with bus from Tegel airport. Only 10 minutes walk to Zoologischer garten with public transportation, shopping and lots of restaurants.

Convenient and efficient for city escapes

Over all very happy. Convienent and easy for access to the rest of the city. Quite by night to allow for sleep. Staff friendly and helpful. But there was rust on my bathroom radiator and the wifi did not work for two days with either of our phones or electronics.

Arcona Living, WOW, Staying First Class

Arrive late at night and was in the suite in no time at-all,even thought it was an after-hours service via a PIN coded box to get the room key. Despite the long travelling that day any fatigue soon disappeared on seeing the room. For once the web pictures match the room, if anything perhaps they did not do it justice. Too short of a stay here and will no doubt check it out first when going back to wonderful Berlin.

Lovely hotel, delightful spacious rooms

Lovely hotel, just a little out of the centre but no distance really and convenient for the U and S bahns (Zoo stop). Really good value for money - wonderful rooms for the price, really spacious and so nice to have a decent kitchen area. Perfect in spring - possibly the rooms could be a bit warm in a hot summer as I don't think they were air-conditioned. Great breakfast too. Highly recommended.
