The room was spotless and very comfortable. However the light switches were very difficult to understand. Instructions needed. The single face cloth was removed but not replaced.
The staff were unfailingly courteous and helpful. Particularly the gentleman who greeted us at breakfast and the lady on the concierge desk.

The room did not have functional AC, instead of offering a different room they were brining up some portable ac, which required the window to be open. We had to get ready for the wedding and that got us being late, because we had to find a room at a Marriott and move asap. It was just an extremely hot day.

A+ Experience at Waldorf Astoria Berlin

From the moment we arrived, the experience at the Waldorf Astoria Berlin was exceptional. Great check-in experience, amazing room etc. The concierge was helpful with dinner recommendations/reservations and my wife enjoyed her visit to the spa.

Also, this hotel is very conveniently located next to the subway, so getting around Berlin is super easy from here. Would not hesitate to stay again.

The perfect hotel

The hotel had gifts and fruit for us in our room, and a beautifully hand written card for our wedding anniversary.

The bed was incredible, the view was awesome, and the room was beautiful, well appointed and so comfortable. This was our first time at a Waldorf Astoria and we’re so glad we stayed at this friendly, welcoming hotel!

The pool and spa area were absolutely beautiful except they close the pool very early in the evening which was very disappointing to me since the picture of the pool online is what made me finally decided on this. Place instead of the couple other hotels I was considering. So ya I got to look at the pool thru the window but could not go in. I was going to try and go swimming in the morning before check out but pool time just isn't that appealing first thing in the morning not to mention I already had to ask for a late check out even with our the pool visit ! Aside from that everything was beautiful and completely thought out and the staff was lovely especially the front desk young lady that checked us in. I would highly recommend giving this place a look

Check the air conditioner works!

Middle of a heat wave. Checked in late at night. Air conditioner was not working and no one answered the phone when we called down. Next morning hotel admitted that they knew the air conditioner was not working and mistakenly gave us the room, but there was nothing else available immediately. After speaking the manager they miraculously found us a new room.
Everything was perfect after that!

Terrible check in experience. I was told the manager would speak with me later on to see how they could make things better? Repeatedly told a foreign dignitary was staying on our floor so it was making things difficult. Finally checked in and the room was still dirty. Things like hair in the shower. Completed a 4 night stay but no one followed up. Also be prepared to pay extra for everything including the pool. Not worth the price in my opinion.

Incredibly under-whelming stay. We stayed for two nights and I must say SAVE YOUR MONEY! The Waldorf Astoria Berlin was the Ryan Air/ Spirit Airlines of hotels. They charged extra for everything. They have a pool but the jacuzzi was broken and they were going to charge €20 PER PERSON to use the facilities. When staying at a “Luxury” hotel you’d expect that to be included in the cost of the room, which is obviously not cheap. The room was big and had a great view but was poorly designed and the bed was equivalent to a 2 star hotel. We travel a lot and have stayed at 5 star hotels around the world and I must say this place is 2.5 stars at best. Save your money!

Hotel has been recently renovated. Some of the infrastructure (busines center, \"library\"...) were not yet up & running as of our visit.

The \"Guerlain\" Spa swimming pool, hot-tub, steam & sauna, gym are particularly beautiful and well equipped. Delicious complimentary fresh fruit on hand...

Room & amenities up-to-date, quiet and very comfortable in this busy urban location. Plenty of hotel security.

I have stayed in many of the finest properties in Europe, Asia, and the United States including the Four-Seasons in Paris, Ritz Carlton in Hong Kong, and The Ritz in London. This hotel ranks with the best in terms of concierge service, opulence, amenities, and convenience. Any future visits to Berlin will include only the Waldorf Astoria as my hotel.

The Good: We were delighted to be able to have an early check-in when arriving from the US, before the normal check-in time. We also were pleased to be given a room with two queen beds, rather than one king bid. This was a great help to us.The room was very quiet, with great climate control. Very clean! The not so good: The spa and pool were an extra 15 euro charge (the pool is a pool to take a dip in, NOT a swimming pool.) The Bad: Room service got the time of our breakfast very wrong on a crucial morning; once the service in the dining room for breakfast was horrible. Our order was not placed with the kitchen. We missed our train as a result. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would stay again.

Lots of extra charges on top of what was already paid for the room. We booked 2 king size rooms with a Check in time of 15:00hrs, arrived at the hotel at 16:00 hrs and 1 room was not ready. 1 day 1 room was not cleaned did complain but nothing was done about it. Did not like that you had to pay to use the swimming pool €15 an hour. Also WiFi was only free in certain areas of the hotel. Plus only 1 English program on the TV which was BBC News. I would not recommend this hotel.

Hotel was spotless, hit on the my key Musts —
smelt good, visually appealing and clean, good vibe, friendly staff who greeted you in passing (keep doing this great touch) soft bed, pillows and robes.

Spa was also relaxing - hot tub was hot! Steam room pumped plenty of steam and spacious sauna.
Also loved the ice fountain.
Only thing I would suggest is a cold plunge pool to counteract the intense heat. :)

We chose to eat our during the day whisky touring and enjoyed dinner at the Christmas markets so cannot comment on restaurant/bar.

Other that that we picked a fantastic hotel and spot with the Christmas market leading off the hotel and right in the centre of all the major shops and station.

Highly recommend.

Wonderful Stay

The staff is amazing. I have never felt so appreciated at a hotel. It was very quiet and cozy. It is at the top of my top five favorite hotel stays. It is right by the Zoo. Public transportation literally steps away from the hotel entrance so you can get anywhere you need to fairly easily. Tons of food and shopping options around the hotel.

We were shocked in the time of check out that an extra payment for our car park (38 Euros) per day which no one at all told us about, should be paid. we tried to explain to the that no one told us that the service is paid and as known in most of the international hotels the there is free valet service and they didn't do any thing.

Luxury Stay Close To Berlin Zoo

High quality luxury hotel with excellent design and comfort. Great bathroom with powerful shower.

We stayed as tourists and were pleased that the hotel is not in the centre of the city as it meant we could take different and interesting walking routes through city and park, taking about 40 minutes to reach the Brandenburg Gate. There is an underground and overground station very close so it’s easy to reach the centre quickly.

The hotel is opposite the zoo and a shopping centre so there is plenty to do close by.

Great breakfasts, service was perhaps even a little over-efficient here - at one point four pots of tea arrived at our table. The staff were lovely.

The least impressive part of our stay was the check-in, where the receptionist did not tell us about any of the hotel amenities. Having said that, the check-in was polite and speedy.

The Waldorf Astoria is an amazing place for a weekend break. We live in Berlin and decided to treat ourselves to a staycation. The room was lovely, service immaculate and the spa was a wonderful place to relax and recuperate. I only have 2 little quibbles. For the price, I think you should have free wifi, it costs 15 euros a day and the tv entertainment package didn't work as they were changing their set up. Even if it worked, it didn't have netflix which I would say is a must this day and age. Other than that, we will return for sure.

Wonderful place to stay in Berlin

Great hotel, beautiful rooms, location means all of Berlin is easily accessible with public transport. Staff was great. Rooms are spacious as is the bathroom. Enjoyed the luxurious bath while watching TV on the bathroom mirror (with waterproof remote). Good jet lag remedy. Everything you need is there already. Only peeves: WiFi is not automatically free with the room, nor is the pool. Otherwise really great.

Was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in Berlin, they gave me an non smoking room which I already asked for a smoking one , then they charged me 250 euro for deep cleaning which made me very surprised and changed my side sweet to a junior sweet so I don’t pay the deep cleaning every day , they doubled my charge on credit card then i had to cancel all when i got the information from the bank and to give another card and to be sure of the value they take , break fast was included when i checked out they said it’s not and i had to pay for it so as the internet that they wanted me to pay for it and on the site of reservation it says that’s it is free, last when i was checking out they charged me much more then what i had reserved then i had to open my reservation and show them the correct amount which took me around 1 houer to finish this matter .

Luxury at its finest!

Luxurious stay at the Waldorf Astoria Berlin. We spent two nights here during the Lollapalooza festival. During our time at the hotel we enjoyed massages at the spa, highly recommended. Unfortunately the pool and sauna were being serviced and were no available to use, as well as the roof terrace due to a private function which was disappointing as I would have thoroughly enjoyed to experience all the hotel has to offer. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. They arranged an early check in and late check out for us which is unheard of in hotels these days. The location is fantastic as it is close to shopping, bars and restaurants. I will be returning to the Waldorf on my next trip to Berlin.

Weary from the travel, perfect luxury.

Surprised I was charged for bar when using their coffee pods... really? Some fell through machine by accident. Asked for coffee refill pods..charged €23 one time €22 another time. American Hotels give coffee pods COMPLIMENTARY. Something to think about?

GREAT BERLIN LOCATION

Terrific location. Just a short walk to the train, The shopping district, the hop on hop bus service and local b us service. Easy access to a lot of major city attractions. Hotel is a bit pricey especially if you plan to eat at the hotel. The breakfast buffet is excellent, however and worth the extra price if you include it hotel fare.
