The room was cramped with a divider across the middle. Our room was next to the lifts and so kept us awake. We had to pay extra for the spa which we knew but when we paid and went in, the whirlpool was out of order, the pool was not heated and there were children running around making a lot of noise. Just disappointing and not worth the money we paid.

The equipment in the room is a bit old. Switch for the shower head and bath tap was hard to control and water leaked. The breakfast restaurant was really crowded when there were conferences. I was asked to share a table…

Air con in the room works well. I really like the smell of the shower gel and shampoo. Convenient and safe location. Service was ok.

The Hotel reception, lobby staff, restaurant/dining were all friendly and professional. The check in was quick. The lobby was beautiful and inviting as were the bar and public areas. Our hotel room was spacious and very comfortable (inner room view not that great but it didn’t matter.. the hotel was lovely.) The breakfast room is beautiful with a lovely stain glass dome and the choice was amazing.. literally anything/everything you could ask for including chef cooked omelettes. Excellent. The hotel location is near the Zoo (very close) walkable to the stores, lots of restaurants (10mins), transport (bus stop) is outside.. a taxi always available out front.. the Tiergarten is walkable.. for us a great location. A lovely visit..

Ideal for my stay,staff were helpful and friendly, however there was an attempt to scam my son, when someone put there sauna, food and drink onto his room, not sure how yhis could happen in this day and age, person claimed to know us, and asked for there purchases to be put on iur room?

I had NO IDEA when I booked my package how amazing this property would be. From the moment I arrived they greeted me in a way that made me feel so welcome and special. I immediately relaxed. The whole hotel is clean and seemed new and modern. The elevator, the bathroom in my room the beds, tv, carpet the whole room was comfortable clean, safe, and they had everything and anything I needed. I forgot my my converter from the US but because they had USBs built in I was able to charge my devices without missing a beat. They had excellent wifi and a great restaurant bar attached that I frequented several times. There is a bus stop close by (across from the hotel and you could walk down to clubs, coffee, foods, and shopping within 5-10 minutes. I will definitely stay here again! One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at!

Would have given the hotel 5 stars for everything, but for the bar/restaurant area. It took 20 minutes, to get a drink, same again to get a even get a menu. There appeared to be plenty of staff, but there was no organisation, e.g. 2 people serving a table for 1, but no staff attending to those outside.
We had dinner our second night, but went elsewhere thereafter.
One shining exception to this was Magdalene, who covered all of us sitting outside, with swift service, wonderful wit, and attentive attitude. She was outstanding.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Intercontinental Berlin. The room is beautiful and it is a Classic Room. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. And the shower is great; bedding is comfortable. We chose this place because we are on a Viking cruise and came early to experience the city for a couple of days. The only thing we don’t like is the location. It is far from the tourist spots. We have to Uber or walk about 2 miles to the closest spot (Brandenberg Gate). That’s the reason we are here. Maybe for business trips the location is better.

Good but charge extra for pool, extra for sauna.

Nice hotel, felt nickel and dimmed needing to pay €10 for the pool and if I wanted to go in the sauna €10 (the latter of which was a step too far). Hence the lower stars, if I was there with family that would have mounted up as the kids love a swim when possible. Don’t expect that kind of approach from a five star hotel brand.

Started off on the wrong foot

Travelled with extended family.

I made 1 booking for 4 rooms of same type, with same price per room and so forth.
Yet we got completely different rooms in terms of size and comfort.
Also, sadly we got rooms on different floors, with the motivation from the check-in staff that we somehow in fact have made separate bookings (!?), due to all of us not sharing the same surname...
A bit farcelike, and exhausting having to debate upon arrival and throughout our stay, showing the actual single booking made an so forth.
No real compensation from hotel has been offered to this point.

We perceived the service in general a bit rude during our stay, with multiple \"incidents\" involving various family members. This became a frequent topic of discussion in the group.
When staying at premium hotels there are a few things one would expect; for instance a correct amount of towels, bath robes, toilet paper to be refilled and so forth.
Having to remind hotel staff is tiresome, where \"borrowing\" toilet paper from a shared bathroom would seem easier...

Cleanliness was OK during our stay, and the hotel is in good condition. It could use some more areas for children, the hotel is quite big, and with some imagination could this not be achieved?

I loved the new pool and sauna; spent a couple of hours swimming/enjoying pool. Location of the hotel was great-near Zoo- I took a train from airport till Berlin Zoo and walked towards the hotel (taxi 5-6 minutes from the railway station). The hotel staff is attentive and helpful-overall, highly recommend; will stay again. Or maybe Weihnachtsmarkt with celebrating people and New Year vibe give additional points to the nice hotel...

We had a very good stay at this hotel. Our room was big and very well equipped. The hotel was quiet and it easy to get the bus to and from the hotel out front. There are not a lot of dining options in the area. The breakfast at the hotel was fantastic. We particularly enjoyed the freshly cooked eggs and omelettes to order. We would recommend and would certainly stay again. Thanks for a great stay!

This hotel features large, newly renovated rooms (in 2024) in a central location, close to one of Berlin's main shopping areas and the zoo. It was perfect for our family holiday, featuring a pool on site and a fantastic breakfast buffet, which was so generous we skipped lunch every day! Definitely recommend this hotel.

An all-around great experience.

Fully equipped bathroom with lovely touches including shower and hand washes. Plenty of fresh towels, with slippers and robes.

There was a coffee machine and some pods provided, a complimentary bottle of water. The fridge only has a small space for your own items so you cannot store milk and water which was a small inconvenience as if you move anything it will register that you have consumed something from the mini bar.

The room came with hanging space and and iron.

The television was a good size with plenty of information about the hotel and local area which was helpful.

The air conditioning unit was not functioning well despite a member of staff coming to check it for us after a very warm first night. It did improve slightly but perhaps for the size of the room it wasn't really enough, it did feel quite hot most of the time.

The bed was ok. Two beds together to create a king. The pillows were very soft and didn't provide much support but there is an option to request additional/different pillows which you can find on the television menu, which is helpful.

The hotel was very quiet and with additional black out curtains behind the day curtains you can guarantee a peaceful sleep.

The breakfast is exceptional - many different options to suit all preferences.

The service is also great. Everyone was super polite and professional and friendly, from the breakfast staff to the front desk and beyond.

The only feedback would be some firmer pillows and better air con.

The hotel and its staff were simply outstanding and a cut above the rest. The food was first class and surpassed all expectations on every level. The only downside was the expectation to pay for the pool and spa when you are a residing guest.
I thoroughly recommend this hotel to everyone
