Beautiful spot to stay and so accessible from the ferry over to magnetic island. Handy if you don’t want to rent a car on the island as the ferry is 2 min walk as is the bus stop which takes you to the main spots on the island. Also IGA and bottle shop a stones throw away. Apartment is spacious but isn’t quite like the photos, definitely more dated than the pics! In need of some TLC
Pools are a lovely perk to staying here! Especially having 4 pools so I’d imagine they don’t get too busy. Rock wallabies easily sighted within the complex too 😻

Apartment was okay equipped but a few things missing that would be ideal for a short term stay, and it wasn’t actually that clean. The showers were really grubby and hadn’t been properly cleaned. When we called to reception they had already closed, so we left a voicemail but didn’t hear back from them the following day..
Wine glasses had lipstick marks on them. Few things in the kitchen that were missing, eg olive oil etc, people coming for a weekend/short stay wouldn’t bring these with them nor would buy them from the shop..
No duvets for the bed even though there’s air con? There was a queen single duvet in the wardrobe but no sheet/cover provided for it? When we asked for these, they gave us just a spare sheet (not one you can put a duvet IN)

Our room was 1304. Was expecting a small hotel style room but was fully equipped with kitchen, laundry washing machine and big bath tub. Beautiful views from veranda and 4 pools to choose from. Our other friends room next door was the same. Fantastic!. Only downside was our room was very musty and mouldy smelling and our friends washing machine filters were full of yuk. Great time there and will be back just not in room 1304.

Conveniently located next to the Nelly Bay terminal, within walking distance to the bus, IGA, and a range of local eateries. Our apartment had a balcony with a lovely, sheltered view of Nelly Bay — perfect for relaxing or watching the rock wallabies being fed. While the apartment was comfortable, the room we stayed in was a little tired and outdated and would benefit from a refresh. Overall, a convenient and enjoyable base for exploring Magnetic Island.

2 of the 4 pools were out of action. Did receive an email letting us know of one, so decided to keep the booking. Then to arrive to two being out. The 2 pools water was poor quality, obviously over used.

Entrance with louvres and a drying rack for wet clothes-dries fast. Also has a washer and dryer. Close to all amenities, ferry service (walking distance), IGA and amazing seafood cafe with coffee, ice cream and pancakes down the road. Also close to car hire services. Great place to stay overall.

The room itself was lovely and had a great view. However, we paid $20 for a cot for our baby for one night, and when we went to put her down, we discovered there was no mattress. Reception was closed by then, so unfortunately, my baby and I had a very uncomfortable night as there was nowhere safe for us to co-sleep.
When we mentioned this at check-out the next morning, we were told it may have been overlooked by backpacker staff who didn’t realize there was another part to the cot. There was no offer of a refund for the cot, which was disappointing given the circumstances.

Magnetic Island is a beautiful place and the apartment complex is conveniently located but unfortunately our apartment was tired, the bathroom were mouldy and there was noisy work being undertaken on the roof above us.

The view was fantastic. There were holes in the walls all through the apartment we had. The layout of the apartment was bad. The spa had only 1 working jet. Bed not comfortable at all. We paid the same amount the night before at Peppers for the same price, that was with breakfast included.

If you get the room we did, the photos look nothing like it. The furniture was old and stained, the room wasn’t as clean as you would expect an Accor property to be and there is no way to have a shower without being seen from the kitchen/living area. We booked a 1 bedroom not a studio.

The apartment was so beautiful and had incredible views! This might have been my favorite accommodation I’ve ever stayed at. The staff member Poliane was also incredibly helpful and kind. She gave us some great tips on what to do on the island to make our experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place!

We had an amazing time at a beautiful location. Our initial room had some problems - microwave didnt work, air con was noisy, no coffee machine as promised - so without fuss we were upgraded to a larger apartment for the remaining days

Our room was great and the staff were friendly and provided excellent communication. The property was within a 2 minute walk from the ferry terminal. Our room had a good size balcony for pm drinks and we could watch the ferries come and go. The property has 4 pools, but for us the best was in block 1 the same as our room. This pool had more sunshine than the others which could be shaded much of the day or windy. The roof top in block 1 was mostly sunny.

Beautiful views.I liked the spa,except bubbles don't last so be prepared to get out alot to repress the button.Tv has foxtel plus all entertainment apps but you cannot use unless u have membership. Bedrooms windows have terrible cheap blinds.Electric stoves are annoying but that is a personal viewpoint. Dishwasher and oven missing numbers and directions because of ocean salt, so u have to guess temperatures etc. Beds are average with cheap sheets.Great to have washer and dryer.The saving grace to this hotel was your employee's, the two receptionists and 2 girls in particular I met named naomi and Dounia who guided me regarding a wifi box available at reception and spent time answering questions about restaurants and things to do on the island, near the end of our conversation i realised they had already finshed work so they were helping me in their own time. Thank you Mercure for hiring such a wonderful and kind human beings in Naomi and Dounia .

Apartment was ok. Layout and space is good. Well equipped. TVs and remotes were really poor . WiFi was absolutely awful. Cleanliness was average , floor needed a good clean. Position in resort was great, close to port for the ferry and the bus connections.

My biggest issue was that that room didnt lock. The area where you enter the back patio, the gate didnt shut competely, so it wasnt lockable. And then the lock on the door to the actual apartment has shutters next to it which you can stick your hand through and open the lock on the inside of the door, from the outside.

The spa was very low in water so you basically sat with half of your body exposed and the jets are on a timer for 5 minutes so you have to get out and turn the bubbles back on every 5 minutes.

It doesn’t get much better. New management have worked hard to regain their reputation and have succeeded in my opinion. Better than we expected, the room was immaculate and we felt like we were home. Friendly receptionist made us feel welcomed from the second we arrived and I can’t say enough to thank them for an amazing stay. Well done.

Great location. Spacious unit and well appointed. BUT on a very warm and humid weekend, the air-conditioner was broken and offered no relief. We were given a pedestal fan (no ceiling fans in the unit) which offered only mild relief. Management suggested many other properties did not use a/c (though lots of a/c were heard) and to open up the windows and doors which were all unscreened. We expressed concern about bugs but we were told that on Maggie Is there are very few. We tried all windows and doors open, and the bugs came in in force.
A disappointment as we had southern visitors staying elsewhere and we couldn’t invite them to have dinner with us as it was so hot in the unit.

The room was small and the Airco rooming was extremely bad. Terrible mostly smell in room and dampness on ceiling and floor (slippery and dangerous. Roller blind fell down and was jammed the entire stay, blocking view. Carpet dirty and stained. Didn’t like shower over bath. Not enough utensils in kitchen. Didn’t like high chairs (stools) over dining table. Pool had missing tiles and surrounding tiles needed cleaning. Garbage smell near entry. Ceiling in bathroom needed pairing. Wouldn’t recommend and certainly wouldn’t book there again.

My three girlfriends and I stayed in a two bedroom apartment with ocean views. We loved our accommodation. It was so close to the ferry terminal and we could hire one of the Topless cars right next door also. The IGA and bottleshop we're also super close so it felt very accessible and made our stay so much easier.

Called the day of check in to question what was happening and was met by an abrupt lady who answered the phone just saying “hello” Which made me second guess I even had the right number.
She then proceeded to tell me that even though we paid for a 3 bedroom we would still be getting charged the same amount for 5 people because “they had to account for 5 people staying in the room” I would have been fine with paying for the extra roll out bed...if the difference wasn’t almost $100.
I didn’t bother discussing this further with her because it seemed as though I would get no where.

We got the apartment overlooking the pool on the same level as the pool. There is no privacy and people in the pool are 2 metres away. Luckily we were able to change rooms otherwise it would have been terrible. The room was amazing and so was the bath.

Great location during Magnetic Island Race Week. Short walk to marina, local IGA and ferry serivce. Ground floor 3 bedroom apartment quite spacious with bonus covered internal breezeway and walled front courtyard. Some maintenance issues such as loose tap in 2nd bathroom leaking into cupboard below, dusty bed frame in master bedroom, very grotty sink waste in main bathroom.Sheets and doona cover in one bedroom stained. Faults reported were either rectified or logged for further maintenance attention.

Our first room was disappointing. There was something smudged on a door, a broken bathtub facet, and mould. But the manager was great when I brought these issues to her attention and she moved us to another room. The property has a great location and I highly recommend a water view room. I would stay again, only because the manager was so accommodating and the view of Townsville was beautiful at night.

Setup is a serviced apartment, but our room wasn't cleaned during our 6-night stay. Misleading description on Expedia as there technically is \"Free Internet\" but you have to go to the reception area to use it - no Wi-Fi in the room. Kitchen contained a random selection of equipment. No oven trays, no cutting boards, but 5 vegetable peelers. Whole place needs a re-vamp and some consistency.

2 way view and 2 way payment
We booked and played through wotif when we arrived the hotel charged my credit card again. I had to go to the reception and fix this the next day , took some covencing that the mistake was there's and not mine. We played extra for ocean view with a bath. Only problem we had a ground floor room on the public pool. Unless we closed blinds everyone at the pool had a full view of us. We didn't use the bath due to privacy we were basically in the pool area. We were woken at 5am by cleaner metres from our bed. We were given a 2 bed apartment but asked not to use second bedroom or bathroom, we tried to close these rooms off but were unable to pull the sliding doors closed. The other issue is secure are still holding out security deposit one week after our visit. Location was great just lack of privacy and problems with payments
