Spacious two-bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor with 2 bathrooms, well-equipped, renovated kitchen, dining area and comfy living area with all the Foxtel channels. Glorious water views from the roomy deck and nice views from the other side over the marina and Ardo/The Ville. Nice location for a walk up the beautiful Strand and into the city to go to the Cowboys Leagues Club or Sunday markets. Lovely pool area and tennis court. Hope to stay there again.

Underwhelming stay!

Third time staying at Mariners North. Previous stays have been very good but the apartment (no.49) we were allocated this time was very average. The lighting and decor was very dark, and it just felt uncared for with no pictures on the walls, a standard lamp as a bedside lamp, dead plants on the balcony for example. The positives are the location, parking and views!

I enjoyed the ease of the property, the kitchen was nice and large with ample equipment. The unit had ample space for a family. Would like an option to change bedding type for the second room as it was 2 single beds, a double bed option would have made it perfect.

The view , location was amazing however the room we were given was very outdated and needed a complete update . The curtains were terribly stained , the master bed had stains on sheets and throw , doors showed obvious water damage and carpet felt old and unclean . We were given one set of towels and pool towels that we had to keep and re use for the 5 days . The room looked nothing like the ones advertised so that was a real let down for the money paid .


The main gentleman Brad at reception was very helpful and kind but the other staff were very short when spoken to and unwelcoming .

Great views and unit met all of our needs. Would’ve given a 5, but wi-fi was very poor and only worked in main areas of apartment, and facility was very frugal on amenities like toilet paper, detergent, soap, tissues and towels. Purchased these items but didn’t want to leave when we left since they probably wouldn’t be left for next inhabitant.

Fantastic location with wonderful sea views. The apartment was located near The Strand with a great sea front walking path to cafes and shops. Coles was 1 km away but a pleasant walk. The reception staff were very helpful. The apartment had everything we needed.

This is a wonderful property - very spacious, clean and well equipped. The property is in a great location with views from the large balcony along The Strand, of Castle Hill and Magnetic Island. It is a few minutes walk to the Marina from which we did a sunset yacht cruise. It is also a 10 minute walk to eateries along The Strand. We also did our morning walk along The Strand which was just beautiful. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the property's facilities, listening to the waves breaking at night and the great north Queensland 'winter' weather.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom and it was perfect! Amazing 360deg views of the strand, castle hill and the marina! The apartment was clean and very spacious. The pool area was excellent. We also appreciated the easy parking and access to the elevator. Cannot get a better location in Townsville in our opinion.

My husband and I stayed in a two bed, two bathroom apartment that was very spacious and well presented. Mariners North Apartments is located at the southern end of The Strand away from the busier section in the middle but close enough to walk to restaurants, etc.
We decided to use e-scooters for ease of accessing the entire North Ward area and the CBD as well as the Casino and catching the ferry to Magnetic Island.
Mariners North is a very pleasant place to stay as the staff are welcoming and obliging, and the grounds are impressively maintained. We'll happily stay there on our next visit.

Location is great and customer service was lovely. First apartment was infested with cockroaches and uncomfortably dated. Moved to another apartment that was more modern but again had cockroaches. The mattress was soiled and bedding long past needing replaced and dirty. Will be taking this up again with the complaints department.

Cannot recommend Mariners North highly enough. Immaculate grounds, pleasant helpful staff. The apartments are older in style but immaculate and extremely well stocked with all utensils need to cook if you dont wish to go out. I like that you have low tolerance to parties. I like that there is on-site parking and lots of it. I love the view and the closeness to the ocean. The grounds are immaculate. I did not like the aircon on the balcony. We came during a heatwave and the aircon was used a lot. We could not use the balcony. I'm sure it is great in cooler weather.
