I would not recommend this hotel based on my recent stay. For the price, it is very outdated, other hotels in the same location are much nicer and charge a similar rate.

The biggest concern was the lack of security. The same key unlocks the gate, the main entrance, and every single hotel room. We tested (with another guest’s consent), and our keys could open each other’s rooms. On top of this, there is no internal lock or latch in the room, meaning you cannot secure the door from inside the room. This is extremely unsafe, especially when traveling with children.

Cleanliness was also an issue. The room had clearly not been properly cleaned (I have several photos as evidence). The bathroom was in poor condition – when I turned the shower on, a leak in the silicone seal caused water to flow directly onto the bathroom floor.

I booked a king-size bed, and during confirmation was asked if I preferred a king or two singles. I said either was fine, but was instead given a double bed, which was disappointing.

Finally, both my child and I woke up covered in bites, which raises serious concerns about hygiene and pest control.

Overall, this hotel was far below standard in terms of safety, cleanliness, and comfort. I would strongly advise booking elsewhere.

Toilet wouldn't flush. Cleanliness of the bathroom was quite ordinary. Cut my toe on a shard of glass that had clearly been broken by the previous resident and not cleaned up appropriately by housekeeping. Overall, a good location, central to the Townsville CBD but will not stay at this property again.

My Hotels account said i would get free parking but it was $25 a day. Staff extremely inflexible and rude. No daily servicing of rooms. Building noisy especially Saturday nights. Very expensive for a small, unserviced room.

Was a bit disappointed that the air con was not on to keep room cool for our arrival, middle of summer & very hot! Also fridge turned down to zero so was very hot also & had to turn up to keep our water & milk cool. Thought these items could have been left on for our arrival as had prepaid in full.

Location and property was great. However the lady on reception was rude. What a shame, I had to ask three times where to park, she answered very rude and abrupt. After travelling all afternoon what a big let down. I asked because we needed the handicap park. She didn’t care at all. Then told me was had to pay the 100 and would get it back if I didn’t make a mess and live like a rockstar

This is my second time staying at the hotel. I had to change the booking the day of check in and Faye was very pleasant and kindly changed the dates without charging 1 night cancellation fee as per their hotels.com policy.

I arrived after hours on Saturday and had received a text earlier in the day with a lock box code to access keys. Easy to find and get into the room.

The beds are firm, old furniture and I usually sleep on the sofa for comfort. The kitchen is well equiped for most meals if cooking, great views of the marina and little noise over the weekend.

After checking reception hours in the app; Sunday morning I waited at reception to make payment for the room, however after 20 mins the counter had not opened although the on-site staff were making calls in regards to guests, when I interrupted I was informed reception is closed Sunday’s and there is signs everywhere stating this.

Honestly, there is many signs and I didn’t think to double check the listing had updated hours. Hotels.com have only had incorrect details once in 7 years I’ve been using the booking platform.

Overall aligned corporate residences is a great location if you don’t mind the hard mattress.

Wow what a view!

Fantastic position as it’s close to everything. Lots of eating places and a short walk to the river waterfront. The room had everything needed and a great view over the marina. The bed was very comfy. Only negative point is the way the shower is set up. It is a very difficult/dangerous step up and over the high bath into the shower. I can imagine how hard it would be for the elderly, very young or any one with a disability.

Location was great, room size was good. Everything was in working order and even though we didn’t use parking there seemed to be plenty of it available. Plenty of eateries nearby. My only criticism was that I felt the size of the room and pricing would have justified a king bed and the pillows were like footballs. Fortunately there were bed cushions!

Pleasantly surprised by this place. It has been an icon in Townsville for a long time, with views overlooking the Marina and River. The room was renovated tastefully and had the option of self catering. Door for connecting rooms great for family. Really enjoyed.

The property is a good position and the staff were very friendly . I was upgraded on arrival which is always nice. However , I was a little disappointed with my room as it looked a bit dated and in need of an uplift . Also, I thought it would be a nice touch to have had a tv in my bedroom which most hotels offer - the one in the lounge I couldn’t get to work although I’m sure with some patience I could have . In short a reasonable hotel but not worth what I paid for the night.

The air conditioner was playing up so we were without an air conditioner for a night. There was not enough allocated parking so we had to park out on the street. The receptionist was not helpful. The last day/night they had a lot of young drunk people yelling, swearing, fighting and smashing glass in the complex. We got little to no sleep!

A pleasant stay....

One of the better hotels we've stayed at in Townsville .
Location a little out of the main CBD but within reasonable walking distance .
Good selection of restaurants in the area and a small convenience store.
Very friendly staff.
Comfortable bed and pillows.
Only complaint would be that for self catering purposes , there's only a microwave . That's ok for a night or two but not for a longer stay.

Last room in Townsville!

Not knowing that 3 or 4 different events were happening in Townsville coinciding with our visit limited our choice of accommodation. Enjoyed the venue once we got our bearings as it was close to some good eateries and museums and the Aquarium. All within walking distance!
Friendly staff and great views of the marina from the balcony.

The staff was very pleasant to deal with. The location was great with an awesome view from the balcony. Close to a lot of eating spots, bars and a short walk into town and the Cowboys leagues club. Would recommend this spot to anyone. This will now be the hotel of choice when the wife and I stay in Townsville.
