I was not happy. It cost ฿800 to use the sofa in our room a night. The air conditioning took a while to catch up. The pool is cool but it’s small and on the sidewalk I stayed in a bunch of hotels in Thailand. This was not my favorite.

Staff was pleasant and helpful. There is an elevator now which is great. Super views and nice location almost at the end of the beach strip near the base of the hill up to the hillside. The sound however is astonishing from our front ocean facing two bedroom apt. It not one of the upgraded units but had plenty of room.
You could not even tell the windows were closed. It was soooooo loud out front even with ear plugs in. Non stop crazy music in the passing by tuk tuk trucks and super Amplified mufflers 24 hours a day. Our first night there there was a party right in front of our hotel with ridiculously loud music from the tuck tuck driver who was a party goer and about 8 of them that sang at the top of their lungs till 5 :30 in the am. The police drove by as we watched from our deck as we couldn’t sleep and did nothing. Definitely will not be back to that area ever again. Great if ur 20/30 something and just want to party. Not for me

Worst hotel experience of my life

This was the most horrible hotel experience of my life!
Upon checkin I was lectured by an extremely rude hotel manager for not having my booking reference. Despite her having my passport and a printed out booking slip with my details on it right at her counter. My name and details are the same and they have the booking slip and keys ready for me, yet she is lecturing me about why I don’t have the booking reference??

On the first morning of having my room cleaned an invoice was left in my room for “damaged glasses”. There were never any glasses in my room upon checkin. I know this because I had to walk to 7-11 to buy plastic cups in order to have a drink. When I inquired with the hotel manager about this, she called all the cleaning staff to the desk and proceeded to interrogate me over apparent broken glasses in the room. Despite this being a completely wrong and false claim. It was very upsetting. So much so, that I checked out the next day to find alternate accomodation. The hotel manager seemed to find this amusing when I explained why I was leaving early.
I was unable to gain approval from the hotel for any type of refund. So I have lost four nights accommodation and was charged extra for damaged items that never existed in the room.

Pros- It is at a great location. Away from the madness and noise of Bangla street but yet bang on the beach and walkable to the market and the hustle bustle.
7 Eleven just 100 meters away.

Cons - Tiny pool at the entrance, just off the street with no privacy. No elevator and no staff to help so it was a nightmare for us to carry the bags to the 5th floor by ourselves.
No intercom so if you need something you will have to climb down all those stairs and go yourself to the front desk.

The location is prestine. The front desk staff were rock stars, especially the young lady who arranged for a clinic to pick us up at the hotel and drive us to the clinic - my daughter got bit by a monkey, so she needed a rabies shot.

Only thing I would do differently, is probably arrange transportation on my own to and from the airport. It wasn't awful, but it could be improved. The driver, to the airport, was so slow we were less than 5 minutes away from not being about to check in for the flight and we made the booking with the intent to be there 45 minutes prior to check in deadline. We really cut it close with his slow driving and back road route.

The hotel room was nice, small and modern. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The location was good - right on the beach but was down at the south end somewhat away from the noise and crowds. It was a little noisy still - could hear talking and doors banging all night long. Appreciate the fridge, the complimentary beach bag and beach mats to use. Only bad point - terrible balcony and ‘city view’ was just a wall. No view at all. Still a good choice of place to stay in patong.

Due to language barrier check in had a couple miscommunications about the rooms, but there were 9 of us and only one check in computer. Lady at the desk was very patient and accommodating! We got the 2bedroom suite. It was spacious and very clean. Only stayed for 1 night but would definitely come back

Customer service was very bad! Got fined for two things and the reasons were ridiculous! Admin stuff were very rude when it came to trying to solve problems. Wifi connection was not very good. The room I stayed was very poorly lit. My toliet tap was faulty and shower couldn't maintain hot or cold water kept switching while bathing. Didn't have a good experience here after hearing how nice the hotels are in the patong area are

I had a very terrible experience!!!
The staff there were not welcoming everyone was so freaking rude. The rooms were too dim the aircon were leaking! They had no lift we had to climb up and down the stairs for our entire 5 days stay. They even fined us for a missing cup 100 bhat - which was in the room but the cleaner didn’t check properly. Dirty towel due to lip stick 450 bhatt - used to clean my make up(Towels are meant to be dirty right?) lastly , smoking fine 30,000 convert to sg ($1400) - they didn’t caught us smoking or holding the cigg but assume we smoked in the room... after further explanation and with no evidence made us pay 3000 batt if not hold back our passport . they had make our vacation a terrible one!!!! I do not recommend this hotel!!

Great view and amazing price. Quiet area away from the centre. The room was on 5 floor and no complaints with going up these steps everyday for the amazing view from our room. The only downside which was smell (every time we flushed the loo but soon went away) from the toilets which was down to the plumbing rather than cleanliness of the bathroom.

The deal was paid for the front view but then they leave for us on the back of apartment. Not even on the hotel. When we asked why and they asked for more money. The apartment was smelling really bad from sowers. I informed the hotel but never been fixed. Do not recommend any one staying on thi hotel.

It was on the beach front, say no more.
Though while I'm here this needs to be said about the ocean view rooms
I went to Patong Beach 8yrs ago. We stayed at the other on the beach form the Front hotel & apartments. It was quit nice & about 100 metres from the beach. We looked at so many places on line for a week to do 10 nights, some in the back roads that looked good only 1 block back. It's not that nice back there & goes forever. Why not go for great accom with the best view & a great small pool shaded right on the foot path . Im talking the ocean view room, we had a balcony on the 5th floor. Ok no lift, though there are more floors to suit most. Quite at night, great staff, Beach just 10 meters across the road. 2 or three local food carts across the road every night with a couple of local taxi guys to go anywhere. Ask the guy with the cowboy hat & cart out front, also he sorts your washing & folding perfect. Its locals 24/7,like security also, so safe for sure. I'm an Aussie from Queensland, I want what's close to us, lol, We like the Ocean View room with the balcony, the price was great. I say book early.

The place is quite, receptionist friendly but issuing bill before we check out is something unacceptable. Our coke can was outside and the house keeping issue bill and places it on table full of out things. We saw the bill when we were packing n refuse to pay bill. Since it issue we must pay and we already put back the coke. After arguing the receptionist said he will pay since housekeeping keep saying the same. What is the management doing? A traveler n never come across for hotel to bill us before we check out. They need to check and charge us upon check out. I won’t stay and won’t recommend this place to any of my frnds. So many better hotels surrounding.

Nice room in front of the beach...

Excellent location at the end of Patong Beach. Very nice room but hotel is two doors down from where you check in. There is no elevator so I had to go up four levels up using the stairs. I have a bad back and this would not have been good if I had been sore. Great service too.

I've read the reviews before my trip so I was prepared from expecting the front desk to be rude and all the negatives that I saw..But from the moment I checked in the front desk(Jennifer) was very helpful in letting us check in early..The apartment we had was 3B(11th Oct till 15th Oct) was perfect from the view to housekeeping..Evryone was friendly..So I guess it really depends on how you treat others..And guys if you want the lifts to your rooms book the apartment ya...Lastly to all the staff at The Front Hotel and Apartments thank you for making my trip memorable.I will be back.

Not very good hotel

1.the swimming pool is outside hotel am beside the road, some more very small.
2.daily room cleaning is ok but they touch our personal stuffs,I believe that we didn’t lost anything but it makes me and my friends feel not good.
3.hotel front desk staff service very bad and not professional,keep asking me already paid for the hotel or not , breakfast voucher until I ask then they issued to me , ask for help to contact our driver , she using her phone to call and charge me one minute/ 10 THB,the most disappointing thing is their unprofessional service.

The room I booked was a queen and twin bunk beds but got a room with two queens. The shower was terrible and splashed water everywhere. It looked like it was installed backwards and there was no shower curtain. The outlets sparked and the lights flickered.

Disappointing Stay

The stay at this hotel was rather disappointing as basic things are not provided. The rooms didn't have hair dryer, water kettle and a chair. Room was really small and we had to climb 5 storeys up each time we go back to our room. It was tiring having to carry the luggage and things up and down. Although it was walking distance from patong beach, it was very much to the end of the stretch. I will not return to this hotel again, and I will not recommend it to anyone.

The first night was not the room we had booked. We booked for a balcony view. Never got that that night. Had to wait the next day. The pictures deceive the rooms. Very small. The bathroom would have a sewerage smell come through a few times a day. The beds were too hard. Woke up everyday with sore back. Also the first 2 days the cleaners were very quick to tidy rooms but then slacked off. Then when leaving was accused of breaking an umbrella but hence we hired a harley for our whole stay. Work that one out

DONT BELIEVE THE PHOTOS - NO POOL EITHER

DONT TRUST PHOTOS, this hotel misleads you completely with the description and the photos. They have one nice apartment that they show on the photos but never put you in it. We stayed twice, the first time was ok, although didn't have a pool at least it had an elevator! after discussing with the manager saying we wanted the room that was in the photos we rebooked. When we came to stay we were put in the 4th floor of a building with NO ELEVATOR. the staff did not offer to help carry the bags up. The room was very plain and although had great views out the window, it was a very noisy street which went all night. They advertise a pool but it is basically a Jacuzzi with very little privacy. We tried to cancel one of the nights but hotels,com was not very helpful, stating they could not reach the reception and therefore could not help us??? Very disappointing overall

This hotel is at the end of patong's beach. About 20 minutes walk to bangla road and quite far from the lively nightlife. The cleanliness is ok, the staffs were very polite and friendly.

The Front is down on the south end of patong beach. A little quieter, but easy walking to whatever craziness suits you. The rooms have a modern feel with plenty of space. The front desk people are very helpful! I only had 2 nights, I wish I could have stayed longer.

A quiet place.

We stayed at The Front for three nights. While the beach view rooms on the higher floors of this hotel might be a pull factor, having no lift means, there's a lot of climbing to be done. Our room was on the fifth floor on the first day and we had a change of room to the first floor for the 2nd and 3rd night. While we didn't have a fancy view after the change, not climbing every night after a tiring day was a blessing. We had issues with the air-conditioning not being cold enough but its just a minor issue. WIFI is terrible - connectivity is stronger in the lobbies.

Otherwise, it was a pretty decent stay at The Front.

Away from the busy part of patong meant its usually quiet. The beach was just across the road and there's a 24hrs family mart beside. It takes about 20 minutes walk to reach Bangla street - the more happening part of Patong - thats a rough gauge. The staff were very helpful - from helping us charge our USB battery pack to calling our tour agent when there was a delay.

Hotel woth great view of the bech

The front hotel is right across the street from the beach but you have to walk about 20 min if you want to swim in the designated swimming zone. Otherwise you can chill with the long boats and it is much quieter. The area itself is really expensive but there are a few street food people who park right in front of the hotel for cheap and delicious eats. The room itself is nice with a big window or balcony and a terrific view. The only problem with that is there is no privacy. You have to close the curtains to even get dressed. The shower pressure is also a little weak. Do not take a room on the 1st floor. People can see right into your room either from the pool or walking into the building and from the street. The doors are also really thin so you can hear people in the hallway. We had a bad experience with loud Russians. The hotel is a 20 min walk to the main bar area so it's considerably quieter at night. Honestly if I would go back I would probably stay in Kamala. The beach is nicer and the water is not a gray color. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Room I booked should have been a sea view room, but was given a back facing one instead. Was told that all front rooms were booked.
Impossible to sleep at night with doors being slammed at all hours and partying in the corridors as well as smokers.
All the power points for electrical appliances were hidden and you had to ask where they were.
Would never stay at this hotel again.

The room was super clean. The location was perfect. It was right on the beach with a private pool. Traditional Thai shopping was right around the corner and the modern mall was only a few blocks walk away. Restaurants of every kind are in easy walking distance. The staff were very helpful.

Great little hotel!

The hotel is very well kept and the room was comfortable. The view of the beach from the 4th floor was amazing! Short walk to Bangla Street and just across the street from the beach.
I read some of the other reviews and was worried about the internet access but it turned out great! I guess the hotel must have fixed the issue as there are 6 different wifi networks, different for each floor and the speed and connectivity are great now! You can even get wifi outside, from the pool!
Plugs are hard to find, but they are there. The staff shown us where to find them upon check-in, and all worked.

Cleaning services were ok, but could have been a bit better. Hotel also advertises beach lounges, which is not accurate. They provide beach mats, which are fine, but not as advertised.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Overall, great experience!

Had a decent stay. They have a nice and helpful staff. The hotel itself was quite underwhelming after seeing their photos- it was much smaller than I had imagined it. One of the nights we were "upgraded" to an "ocean view" room. Or, as we saw it, we were "moved" to a "power line view" room. It was actually pretty hilarious, as the beach view is pretty much entirely obscured by the power lines. So if you opt for a beachfront room, make sure you're on a floor higher than 2. And make sure you're ok with stairs, because you'll want to be.

Beautiful views and large rooms

Great place to stay. The room was huge and beautiful and the view of the ocean and Patong was amazing! The internet did not work during the entire 2 day stay so had to travel to find an Internet café. Also there were a few ants, but nothing that spoiled the trip.

End up we eat burger King for our breakfast. 1 more thing. Please tell the receptionist to get their maintenance guys to clear the shower floor waste choke. Forgot to informed them. And I'm staying at the apartment unit which got 2 king beds.

close to patong Beach

We wanted a beach front hotel and definitely got that. It's a great location to patong Beach just right outside but probably not the best Beach in the area. The room was a great size for 5 people (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, living room, 2 decks) and they've made an effort to update it. There were a few issues ie wifi was shotty and the doors to the rooms/bathrooms wouldn't always close but overall it was good. Very close to the main nightlife - about 15min walk. If you're booking day tours to phi phi Island or James Bond be prepared to have an hour drive from the hotel to get to the pier for the tour. That's the only downside.

Front apartments are in a great location on the quieter end of the beach but only a short walking distance to the busy area. The pool is small and not too welcoming and there is no gym. More like 'living' rather than holidaying because there are not special amenities

Was ok. I think by this stage in our holiday we were kind of over Patong.

Pros: The position and view were great. Not right in the craziness, but still close enough to walk to everything. Room view was amazing, but try and get a balcony room if you can, the rooms themselves are quite small.

Cons: there was a bunch of comments about the stairs, yep, there is a lot of stairs, so be prepared of your on the third room or higher. Staff were average and the pool wasn't ideal. Plus this poor little fish in a pond about the same size as him :/

It was an ok place, but for the price I wouldn't stay there again.

Upon arrival I was required to sign more documents than I've ever had to sign in one place and a 2000 baht deposit is required upon check in. This place looks chic and minimalist but the exposed wiring on the lights, rusted and oddly welded shower fixtures, and patchy stucco work detracts immensely from the image. If you want to charge your devices you will need to do it in the bathroom since there are no other outlets. Also the only trash can is the thimble next to the toilette for your sanitary napkins. The key card you are given and sign paperwork for is useless since the front lobby lock is broken so they just leave the door open. The giant fish in the tiny box by the front door is also mildly depressing. There also seems to be a problem with the plumbing since my room filled with the smell of raw sewage from time to time. The food at the restaurant was excellent but the wait staff went from comically incompetent to outrageously bad. Sitting for 15 minutes before I received a glass of water or anything else while the waitress did side work and bussed tables in an empty restaurant tried my "take it easy and slow" attitude. She became very annoyed when I asked her to take a brief moment from bussing tables for a glass of water. After that I had to beg for each item I had ordered while others who had arrived latter were served. I finally received my orange juice after everything had been served and guests who had arrived after me had gotten their juice and entire

We stayed here for one night as it was very close to the hotel we were going to be checking into. We were very surprised by the quality of the room, especially the bathroom. We only booked a standard room but we saw the upgraded rooms with the balconies over looking the bay. It is about 15mins to bar street. There are a couple of bars outside and laundry service just outside the hotel, 1kg for 50bahtt

Good location and close to beach

Bathroom had nice modern fittings but didn't work. Water pressure very low and bath around wrong way so you couldn't get under shower. Our room overlooking hotel behind which was under renovation so noisy. Also there was no tea or coffee making facilities which is usually pretty standard. Stairwell was only means of getting to rooms but there was no railing which could prove difficult for more elderly people. ..

I had booked 2 rooms and send in special request one month before my stay about getting rooms with balcony on the high floor but none was given. The plus points: Rooms are quite clean and close to the beach. Location is abit far from central. It gets a lot of noise from the road early in the morning. ***Pls don't rent any bikes and tour package from the vendor directly opposite the hotel. Gem right on the beach

I have stayed in 4 hotels in this price range in Patong and this was far and above the best. Desk staff is very friendly, room was very spacious and comfortable with new fixtures and amenities. The location is literally 20 feet from the beach, or 10 feet to the pool in between them. This is located on the "quiet" part of the beach front if there was one, with a little distance from the insanity of city center. Would recommend.

On Quiet End of Patong Beach

Great for what I paid. The hotel is located on the quiet end of Patong Beach which is good when you're tired of partying, but not real close to the main partying area. I think it was probably a 15-20 min walk, which is not far, but seems far when you're walking in the humidity and heat. Note that the hotel has four floors and no elevator. It wasn't a problem for me. However, the sound of people walking and talking in the stairwell would travel into my room. Again, not a big deal to me because there aren't a lot of people staying in the hotel since there are only a limited amount of rooms plus I'd be out all day and most of the night. Overall, it was a pretty good hotel to stay for the price and I'd stay here again if I was looking for a budget hotel.

best location by the beach

good location. but few things need to improve.. hotel without lift, becoz my room at level 4, which i need to climb up 5 level to m room.. v v tired.. and some bulb in the room fail to replace.

Will stay again

The hotel is one of Patongs hidden gems.I booked for seven night stayed another seven. Cannot beat the location, all staff are exceptional. Great restaurant next door called Yellow Saffron. Only one minor negative no lifts. Istayed in three different rooms due to extending my stay and all where of the same high standard. Make sure you book a room with a balcony. The place is perfect for couples and family with not only hotel rooms but also apartments. 10/10 to the Front Hotel.

Will not recommed to any family as it doesnot have Lift. rooms are very small and Swimming pool is outside that face the street.
