Sadly. There was mold on the shower tiles. No hooks in the bathroom to hang damp towels. Some kitchen equipment but no toaster. No hand rail in the shower. Carpets in the passage near the lift was filthy.
The reception staff were friendly. We needed assistance to make the aircon work and a staff member came and assisted us. She got it working. The car parking was a tight sqeeze. The cost of parking very high.

It started with walking in to find stains all over the carpet and curtains, half the carpet being lifted, there were weird stains all over the walls, the mattress was to big for the bed frame so it was very uncomfortable and kept sliding off, the place smells like it hasn’t been cleaned and we couldn’t even open the windows for fresh air.. oh and don’t forget the mould in the shower.
One lift was out of order and the other couldn’t go down to the car park we were in so had to use the service lift.
Overall not worth it, just spend that little bit extra and stay elsewhere.

Negatives - mostly everything, the rooms were outdated and dirty and the whole place is terribly run down. The room I was in did not resemble the photos that are on this site. The building may have been great in the 70’s but it seems that very little has been done to the place since then. If I had paid less than $100 a night I may not have been disappointed, while it was on the cheaper side there are plenty of other places I could have stayed for the same price.

We booked for two adults and a 7-year-old child, paying an extra $30 for a trundle bed. Since reception closes at 3pm, after-hours check-in required a call but was straightforward. On arrival, there was no extra bed for our child. Support placed us on hold twice to contact the main office and ultimately said no additional bed or refund would be given, as our booking supposedly listed only two guests. After an uncomfortable night with little sleep before our charity half marathon, we checked out before reception opened the next morning.

It was a nice place for the price and the game room was nice as well with a table and grill along side the pool. My only issue was the game room was not accessible to me in my wheelchair. Other than that it was a decent place. Everything In the unit worked and I didn’t have any issues with the lifts

The room was next to an exhaust duct. The noise was terrible, when I contacted the after-hours service, they said there's nothing they could do and hung out the phone. The studio wasn't in the conditions shown in the pictures. It was very old and dark. I stayed one night and cancel my booking for the 8 nights remaining.

You get what you pay for and I go a god deal to stay in this old tired room, but it was large and had more than I needed, microwave, stovetop, laundry etc. even a view. Great location walking or public transport distance to anywhere I wanted to go. Would just recommend not using those chemical cleaners in the lift (instant headache) and not using the amps which lead to steps so not disability friendly.

We got to our apartment and it smelt unbelievably musky to the point where I was getting a sore throat.

Where do I start, called to let Reception know We would be arriving after five for check in to organise late check in. Was transferred to another one of the staff and he answered the phone with \"Hey\", no professional Hello this is ...
I then went on to explain ŵ we were caught in traffic abd would be arriving after five, mind you this is 3:45pm. The young man says that's okay you have to five and that was the end of the phone call, no options provided to me. I had ring the day proud to confirm a parking space and pay for that for three days.
When we arrived there is nowhere to park so I had to park illegally up the road and ring again to be out through to the after hours reception. She was helpful and during our discussion she requested my card number to put a holding amout on it for any damage to the unit during our stay. I was annoyed at this stage as I had contacted the hotel now than once since making my booking and they could of discussed this the day prior when paying for the parking. Just another additional charge on my card.
Our room was easily located as was our park.
When we entered our room it smelt like sewerage and a window was opened. I went around and noted any damage. The hand basin sink took ages to drain, the cover for the floor waste in the kitchen was missing, hence the smell. Pubic hair on our sheets and done stain that looked like mould. The ceiling in the bathroom had open edges. Cracks in the ceiling, floor not clean. Very poor standard
I then went on to explain ŵ we were caught in traffic abd would be arriving after five, mind you this is 3:45pm. The young man says that's okay you have to five and that was the end of the phone call, no options provided to me. I had ring the day proud to confirm a parking space and pay for that for three days.
When we arrived there is nowhere to park so I had to park illegally up the road and ring again to be out through to the after hours reception. She was helpful and during our discussion she requested my card number to put a holding amout on it for any damage to the unit during our stay. I was annoyed at this stage as I had contacted the hotel now than once since making my booking and they could of discussed this the day prior when paying for the parking. Just another additional charge on my card.

When we entered our room it smelt like sewerage and a window was opened. I went around and noted any damage. The hand basin sink took ages to drain, the cover for the floor waste in the kitchen was missing, hence the smell. Pubic hair on our sheets and done stain that looked like mould. The ceiling in the bathroom had open edges. Cracks in the ceiling, floor not clean. Very poor standard

There is no pram/wheelchair access, if I known this place is only accessible by stairs..I would have cancle the booking. The room was also so dusty, thick dust everywhere and the shower was horrible.

We often come to Ridge as it is an affordable comfy apartment that’s close to the city. However, it ain’t for the weak willed as walking from the city is a pain in summer.
Our apartment was great. Aircon worked and the space was enough for two people. The only thing that needed fixing was the Stovetop light. It did not turn on so we left the bathroom door ajar for some light.

The after hours check in was an absolute nightmare. The after hours number wouldn’t connect, I had to call through to the emergency line after a few attempts. The car parking was poorly explained, thankfully eventually someone helpful allowed us to park in the staff parking. The apartment itself was not worth half of what I paid for it. There was plenty of damage throughout, the furnishing reminded me of a student accommodation and the windows and doors are paper thin. I must however make a special mention to the lovely bloke who did one checkout, he was very apologetic and understanding.

There where no bedside table lamos or lights nor a light switch near the bed to turn out the ceiling light. The switch to turn out the ceiling light was situated next to the door to the room

The size of the apartment was very large. However the aparment could with new carpets and a new sofa ( the sofa needed a good clean also) generally the apartment is in need of updating. The light in one of the bathrooms stopped working. Staff tried to replace a bulb but an electrician was required, which did not happen during our stay.

Unfortunately the images used to promote The Ridge are misleading. Our studio was extremely dated and tired, especially the kitchen and bathroom facilities. There was no feeling of luxury, mould on the bathroom ceiling and shower head leaking and spraying in all directions.

We booked one night and had a 12am flight the following day and the gentlemen helping us allowed us not only an early check in / late check out but also offered to allow us to hang at the hotel lounge/pool until we were ready to head to the airport.

It may be this particular room, but it is nothing like the description or pictures, and without doubt the worst Expedia booked place I have stayed in. I can see from previous reviews that I’m not the only one, and based on my experience cannot understand how this has a 7.8 rating. The only good point was the staff were perfectly pleasant.
