Disappointing stay

The apartment is spacious and located to ammenities. The downside is that there are cockroaches in the kitchen and we have to purchase a surface spray to get rid of them. The bed is also tough not comfortable. The bathroom is tired with joinery surfaces chipped and peeling. Overall it is an average hotel and could improve on hygiene.

Good central location, close to transport links and walkable to CBD. Good size with full kitchen and laundry. Generally clean, bed linen and towels, floors etc.

Bathroom in particular and kitchen were covered in mould which really needs to be addressed!

They take a security deposit off you, which if you use a credit card is a pain as they actually charge your card rather than place a hold on it. They don't explain this to you at check in, you get an email after you check out asking for options to refund! Don't know why they can't just use the hold facility or at least confirm refund details at check in! Charging a card inevitably incurs a cost with exchange rate fluctuations and conversion charges :-(

I'm glad i changed my accomodation to this place after reading bad review of previous booked place. Frisco apartment is clean and modernly furnished. The double bed is too low and old, it needs upgrading. The quilted bedcover folded in cupboard is old, stained and needs replacement. Highly recommend value for money, would come back to it anytime.

Although in a great location close to city amenities and transport, this was otherwise a very disappointing property. The apartment is in a very poor condition and quite dirty. Stained and threadbare carpet, couches and bed; blocked and stinking drains; rusty, mouldy, chipped and stained bathroom fittings and tiles. Wi-Fi internet router reboots every few minutes so is nearly unusable. We attempted to use the provided vacuum cleaner but it filled the apartment with a disgusting smell. The ceiling fan in the bedroom was very noisy, and wouldn’t work without the bedroom light also being on. Many other issues, but overall the property is probably more fitting for a student flat rather than a holiday apartment.

The location was great and the staff were nice.

However, the room stank of sewage and curry - we spent the entire time with the windows open. Beds were not comfortable (I'm not a big person and I was touching the bottom part of the bed ensemble).
Floor boards were split and warped and there were holes in the curtains. Just a run down property in a good location.

We were upgraded to a bigger department. Everything was ok except there was a bad smell in the living room. They tried to fix it but it was really difficult to remove it I guess and we really struggle to keep open the door of the room open (this was apartment 501). I guess it was just an event because I asked for a upgrade to add another person and the new apartment was really nice, super clean, super comfortable and with no smell. Other than that everything is ok, great location, nice staff, free parking and very secure. Wollies is very close.

There were some good things about it. The undercover parking (free!) was incredible - more like a shopping centre carpark- and I had a great view from my 8th floor unit.
The unit was clean, but it fell down in terms of shabby furnishings and very small amounts of toiletries. Despite the booking being for two, there was only one of shampoo, soap etc. You got a sheet of information when you check in telling you if you want additional supplies for your room you have to pay! I was glad I was only there for 2 nights!
I wouldn't recommend for these reasons.

Below expectations! No love in the place.

There were remnants of dirt (stands of long dark hair) and a film of dust in the bathroom. Cigarette burns on the lounge table, bathtub and a stuffy cologne smell. An unsightly cream stain on the dark valance (identifiable with a UV light source) gross! Decor was dated; flash back to the 90s. Could be a great space if it was updated and cleaned properly.

The bed sheets smelt clean, thankfully.

The lounge room rug was a crispy shag pile of doom; I wore shoes or socks except when showering.
I went out to specifically purchase antibacterial wipes to sanitise most surfaces: lounge, bathroom floor, benches, remote controls, light switches, door handles, just to feel comfortable.

Positives = Front Desk staff Peter & Roger were very friendly & helpful. I was satisfied with their customer service. Very professional.

If you’re not a clean freak & like stuffy boxes, it’s fine for an inner city stay.

Air con is good as are the ammenities is: Pool, gym & sauna.

The kitchenette, washing machine & dryer in cupboard laundry is very handy.

The apartment manager Peter is extremely helpful. We had a little accident during our stay, dropped our car key through the floor gap in the lift. Car key was at the bottom of the lift shaft. Peter immediately arranged for the lift technician to be brought in to retrieve the keys. Thank you very much.

Frisco apartments looked good from a search on the internet...I only seen a few bad reviews which I should have listened to unfortunately I didn’t. The room we stayed in was dirty which I complained about. The cleaner came the next morning and brushed half of the floor before leaving. The dirty dishes from the previous user were not cleaned and put into the cupboards with dead flies and bugs. The only good thing about the place was the good sized balcony and the bedsheets were clean. The receptionist was helpful and informative. The smell on the 3rd floor which we were staying on was absolutely horrible. I mentioned about this so the staff who sprayed some form of air freshener which didn’t help at all and set the fire alarms off in the building. We have stayed in free campsites which were cleaner than this place. I would not recommend it to anyone at this time. Will not be staying there again until these problems are sorted.

Not cleaned properly. Others rubbish left in the room. Cups not clean, had to do a load in diswasher. No washing up cloth or tea towel. Bed made clean, but looks like the house keeper forgot about the rest. We have stayed before and very happy, that's why we went back again. Maybe just a bad housekeeping day.

At first glance apartment seems great.
Then you realise there is a thick layer of dust that has been there since the beginning of time.
I literally had to clean the place first as i was staying there all week.

I did get the opportunity to meet the rude cleaner one afternoon who just happened to press every level on the lift so it made going to level 10 a very long trip.

Overpriced so I wouldn’t be staying again unless cheaper

Apartment we had could have been very good but it badly needed a refurbishment and a thorough clean. Toiletries were minimal, just a bar of soap so make sure that you take shampoo etc. Not even a bottle opener in the kitchen.

The initial room we were given was Room 307 the cleanliness was very poor- there was a very strong overwhelming bad odor in the room that lingered even when we opened the windows. The smell was of pesticides or chemicals, dust, and mold. There was long thick black hair on the pillow, a lot of hair on the bathroom floor, hair on bath and hair on the \"clean\" towel. Old outdated bathroom and kitchen and furniture. The lounge was very old and the fabric on the cushions was covered in pulls.
The was a long, dried, brownish colored dribbled stain on the architrave in the bathroom.
I complained and was given a replacement room #801.
Room 801 we were moved also had issues and cleanliness was poor although there was no strong odor. There were a lot of crumbs on the lounge and coffee table. The lounge in this room also needed replacing as the arms of the suede were shiny (dirty and worn) and there was a large water stain on the cushion. The curtains in the bedroom were old and covered in dirty marks and needs washing or relacing.
The bedroom was very hot and stuffy because there was only an air conditioning unit in the main living room. There was a brown stain on the front of the handbasin. There were dirt and hair on the bathroom floor beside the handbasin. Grout in the bathroom was moldy. The coffee table was flaking all over the top surface due to water damage. The floor was water damaged near the air conditioner and the bathroom doorway. The walls were marked.

First impression not great

When first arrived room smelt of smoke.I was so unhappy with this room.after talking with reception though we were moved to another room. This room was a bit better but not what we were hoping. We were then given a much better room that was spacious and clean with no smoke smells.thank you for your understanding with this matter. It ended up being a lovely stay. Am dubious about other rooms so will request a room in future.

Good location as not far from the Queen St. mall, Chinatown and Fortitude Valley with a supermarket five minutes away. The apartment itself was a little tired but okay and clean enough, though it did smell of cigarette smoke. These aren't serviced apartments, therefore depending on how long you stay, you may need to buy extra supplies like toot paper or tea bags etc.

Good and convenient place to stay but don't expect a lot of comfort. Our accomodation was not well cleaned before and the furniture and bathroom were nothing special. We did not sleep well as the bed was rather soft and worn. Wifi and parking for the car was great.

Manager & Concierge were pleasant & very helpful. Encountered an issue with a dirty doona upon arrival and Peter, (manager) arranged for a brand new one within 30 minutes. Similarly with a mould issue in bathroom - maintenance man replaced sealant within 1 hour.
My stay at Frisco depended on my husband's progress in hospital - I was able to book a week at a time at a better rate. One week was extended to 3.
I found the apartment to be very comfortable and the short walk to Woolies became a daily routine. Along with Woolies, there is Subway, Price line & a coffee shop. 15 minutes walk away is Queen Street Mall.

Location was good but our room was not looked after or clean. The shower had clearly not been cleaned as there was hair, mould and what looked liked snot wiped on the wall - we showered with thongs on. The dining table and coffee table had not been wiped over and the floors had not been vacuumed. The bed was not comfortable at all and there was no cover for the doona.

The location was great, close to the city but very quiet. All the facilities work well and we enjoyed access to a gym. The pool was a lap pool. The living area in our one bedroom was huge, with a 6 person dining table, sofa and easy chairs and plenty of space around them. Management was very professional and helpful. We very much enjoyed our time at this apartment with a supermarket just down the hill.

Very spacious, and very nice apartment. Great location in Spring Hill beside the CBD. Very quiet, comfortable and enjoyable. Its not a new building, but that's no problem. Some updates to the artwork on the walls would make a big difference.
Overall, its a great place to stay!

Noisy and poorly cleaned

Our check in was trouble free even though we arrived on a public holiday. The check in staff were happy to help and sorted the problems he was able to address.
The apartment however was very worn. The pillows supplied on our first night felt like cardboard and there weren't enough supplied only one per person, I had to request more which were supplied happily and helpfully. The bedding was very old and stained, the sheets however were clean and comfortable.
Bathroom also dated and broken in places, sink and bath both cracked, sink around the taps was dirty and the floor in the whole apartment dusty and dirty.
Apartment was NOISY. During the night we couldn't work out why we were hearing thunder for a good deal of the night as it hadn't rained. The next day we put two and two together and realised that we were hearing lift noise in our bedroom which was in use for all except maybe 3 hours a night. Had to sleep with ear plugs in to get to sleep. Did not rest well for all five days of our stay. Adjoining apartment activities could also easily be heard through the walls.
Enjoyed the pool and gym facilities, thought they were quite well presented.
Living room poorly set up, no curtains so the morning sun made the room very uncomfortable as it was inescapable.
Excellent location, close walking distance to the city, very central.

We had studio which was adequate for our needs especially as it had full kitchen which isn't common in studios which usually only have microwave. We were able to leave our car onsite (no charge for parking) and walk wherever we needed to be. Good location for business travellers as close to CBD.

Simple and basic no fuss accommodation.

I am a frequent traveler and I have become a regular here because the location is great, the front desk staff and management are always friendly and helpful.

I have stayed (1- 2 weeks length) in 2 different apartments and 1 studio so far and they are a little run down could do with a rebuff... *If you are looking for Hilton standards, then I suggest you book into The Hilton.

Apart from that, all amenities/facilities that are needed are provided, beds are ok and 3-5mins walk to river and shops and 10-15min walk to Queen st. Mall. The Balcony was lovely to sit out on in early morning and evening. Secured Parking is also great.

I am returning next week :-)

Great location, fantastic swimming pool and sauna. Gym was very basic, not many weights but some cardio machines. TV was tiny. Good facilities in the room and the manager was fantastic.

Good value on the edge of the CBD

A large studio room with a kitchenette, laundry facilities and parking available. A little worn, but clean and tidy despite that; and in a great location. Will be staying here again.

Great Location

Was a great unit, however they do need new cleaners! I had to wash all the crockery, cutlery, cooking equipment and utensils before I could use any of it. They was hair in the drains of the vanity and shower and hair balls on the mat under the coffee table. A complete top to bottom scrub of the unit would be ideal

The unit was quiet and clean. Everything was explained at check it so that was great! I appreciate that I can park without any extra charge.
