The staff are fine, the rooms are old, cracks and holes in the wall, mould in bathroom, bathroom door cracked because of condensation, tapware in shower old and crusty also when you shower the water gets on the floor. No ventilation in bathroom. The temperature controls are not easy to use; we had to push so hard to change temperature and turn it off. Dust settled on the bedheads. The buffet breakfast was the best thing about the hotel, the foods is great and tasty and plenty of variety.

Lift broken, another lift with broken screen so unsure as to what floor you’re on, flooding in main hall room level, photos looked nothing like the room. I would’ve just been happy as long as I had the pool, however it was out of action for the duration of the stay, I asked the receptionist on arrival and they gave me the pool hours, but never mentioned it was not available.

They were short staffed. We couldn’t get a hold of concierge, or house keeping by phone. Long wait at check in .The staff we did meet were all friendly .

Disappointed that only one lift was working - waited for ages every time you required the lift because it was so busy. I also expected a mini bar in our room with drinks and snacks - I am pretty sure that every other time we have stayed at the Pullman there has been a mini bar. Also, every other time we have stayed we were gifted with complementary drink or coffee vouchers, but not this time.

Only 1 elevator was working and hotel was very busy which made it very exhausting to wait for 10 min on average to get an elevator. There were signs to use staff lift in busy times but that was also tricky as only staff was able to give you access and they were not always available and when raised, the receptionist was not courteous at all or apologetic for misleading signs. Nowhere on their website or booking confirmation it’s mentioned that the swimming pool is not located in Pullman tower but is in Mercure which was inconvenient and misleading. Other than the location of this hotel nothing else is extraordinary. They even charge $55 per day for parking for hotel guests which is a rip off.

Yes, water and bubbles were coming out from the pipe from the floor. It’s the oldest Accor hotel I’ve ever stayed in my life. It’s not the rating of Pullman. It’s more like an ibis or Holiday-In Express types of hotel but you are paying for the Pullman, not even the Mercure

Upon arrival we were rather impressed when seeing the lobby. However that is where it ends.
$110 for parking which is not specified in the room description. Our room smelt damp and to make things even better our ceiling was leaking in the ensuite. Celing of the bathroom wasnt even painted and you could see the water damage through the horribly attempted setting.

One savings grave would be the staff. However management need to have a serious look at pricing of rooms if the cleanliness and functionality of rooms is this poor.

Although the hotel is a little older, it is comfortable and clean. The staff are reasonably friendly, but I rated the hotel lower on service because of the check-in experience. I was traveling with a colleague who had booked directly with the hotel. She and I both requested early check-in. I was told my room was not ready and that they would contact me when it was available. She was allowed access to her room right away. No one contacted me, and it really felt like they disliked that I had booked through this site. I felt very dismissed and ignored, compared to others checking in around me. If they don't want to work with third party vendors, then they really should not offer rooms through those vendors.

Location is fantastic. Close to Queen St Mall, Roma St Station and many busses. Room fantastic also. Clean. Lovely bed. Staff took a long time to respond to requests. Concierge was not usually around.

All that said, we'll stay there again next time we're in Brisbane.

Well first impression when walking in was very nice. Few people checking in but went fast enough easy to check in. polite and friendly check in person. Room had twin room was a lot bigger then all other hotel rooms I have had in any hotel chain. Nice big bathroom. Two things no bottle water in fridge no slippers.both beds were big but did wake up with stiff back. Decent size TV had all foxtel channels. I could live with that but she like walking around with something in her feet. instant coffee no pods but don't drink coffee. Another minor problem was lift the floor level light didn't work it's OK when just you in it but when a few people going up everyone was looking for floor number on the wall. Breakfast was good enough had everything you normally eat plenty of room but was busy peak time. Hotel is placed in idea location close to everything. Well everything we wanted to do. Overall I was impressed with hotel would definitely stay there again

With the price I have paid, it’s not value of money. The staff service is just so so. Only reception and house keeping are friendly. The room with balcony is outdated and less facilities and amenities, it’s just like 3/4 star hotel compare to other Pullman hotels, not at that level of Pullman standard. Breakfast options is limited. I won’t come back.

Voco Hotel is much more nicer and the staff service is much more better. When you stay there, it’s like a home, they are smiling and welcoming, and helpful.

Hotel was tired. I arrived late directly from the airport and got to check in at 23.31 hoping I may have caught the bar open so I could get a snack and a drink as I was parched. Only to be told sorry the bar closed at 11.30pm!!

The following evening I came back earlier from being out at 10.45 so I could catch the bar and have a nightcap only to be told sorry we shut the bar as there was nobody in there!! You couldn't write it!!

In my room I found a plug socket hanging off the wall along with a very dark bathroom as the main light did not work and when you turned the tap on the water shot up and out to the side as well as a trickle downwards. The elevator did not show which floor you were getting off at so you needed to stick your head out and look on the wall. There was only one bedside table and one lamp in the room. It was not what I expected of a Mercure Pullman hotel. I will not be staying there again. I did tell them at checkout but it seemed to go without notice.

I did not like the staff told me my booked room was sold out. They said i may cancelled the booking or they allocated us to different room, which call king bed room. Charged the same price for the smaller room.
I accept the changed due to my long flight & my children are exhausted
Until we got inside the room more disappointed:
1 tooth brush no tooth pasted
No slippery and bathrobe
No compliment water
Room with cockroaches
Overall this is very bad experience
I just want to let other customer know even if you make a booking ahead like me. They still give you sh$t in the last minute.

The location is fantastic. Apart from that, I’d strongly recommend against staying here. The rooms are very shabby and in dire need of some serious maintenance, the bathrooms are outdated and barely functional, the WiFi cuts out at night (making it impossible to work online and attend meetings in different time zones). There was a Bluetooth speaker in my room that didn’t work and a lamp with a dodgy electrical connection that kept switching off and on. I asked for these to be fixed and nothing was done. The swimming pool is actually part of a different hotel next door and it’s difficult to get to, dirty and has broken tiles and shabby, cracked seats around it. There doesn’t even seem to be a pool changing room. Many of the staff (receptionists in the hotel and the Goldfinch restaurant) were rude and cantankerous, although the cleaners were lovely. Overall, avoid this hotel!

The staff were very helpful. Buffet breakfast was awesome. The room was ok - water leak next to bath resulted in rotten walls - hopefully there was no fungus infestation. The roof top bar was as closed - although it was raining there was 2 days of very good weather. Pool was ok but not heated which would have been nice. Gym was ok. Some noise but was overall quiet. Close to shops, restaurants and supermarket. Walkable to south bank. Polite staff. Will I stay there again - YES

Worse hotel I've been in for a long time, there were human Faeces in the pool. Staff were polite but not helpful or of any assistance.
On arrival concierge parked our vehicle's, the lobby is welcoming the staff appear polite.
We booked 2 rooms at $415 per a night, Arrived in the first room it was average but fine, second room was a disabled access room the bathroom was unappealing and fixtures hanging out of the wall. Contacted reception. Not fixed. At checkout Concierge basically gave us our keys and pointed to b3 after dragging out luggage down strairwell we were out! Would NEVER recommend staying here. But would recommend the breakfast.

We had a balcony room. There were weeds all around the perimeter of the balcony. Some weeds were 2 foot high so obviously neglected for some time. There was some mildew on the wall of the balcony And the neighbour smoked so it made it very difficult for us to use the balcony A pity as we paid extra to have the balcony. Room was fine and bed very comfortable. Just very disappointed with the state of the balcony.

Good hotel, but shared most things with Mercure at same location (as far as I know, pool, gym, restaurant, car park). I guess the only difference is then the room, but I haven't seen Mercure's rooms.
Otherwise the service has been great for us.

We arrived in Brisbane a few days before Christmas from the UK for the first time. Combined with the Christmas atmosphere the hotel was amazing. Very accessible to the Queen Street shopping area, Southbank and King George’s Square itself was central and well decked out in decorations which was great at night with the festive lasers beamed onto the Town Hall building.

The hotel itself had a large reception area, breakfast in Goldfinch Restaurant was impressive in a good setting and children enjoying swimming in the small rooftop pool. Could have done with more bottled water in the bedroom but the room was comfortable. Generous parking across us road.

All in all, a good hotel to stay in and the staff were polite and professional. Would definitely recommend. Got us off to a great start to a memorable holiday in Oz and our next stop in the Gold Coast!

The property needs renovation specially the bathrooms. The bathroom ceilings had a lot of mould and paint pealing. It wasn’t pleasant to shower.
Valet parking staff should be available at all times and working to at least 12am.
Came back one night and I had to park my own car as there were no staff to assist.
Outside pool deck requires maintenance the pool was cloudy and drains were blocked.
Other than the above it was a nice hotel to stay, conveniently located, quite and a lovely breakfast buffet.

Hard to understand why this is a 5 star hotel.
On plus side room was clean and relatively comfortable. Negatives were no modern amenities. (eg no coffee machine just instant coffee), no coat hangers in the room, an ironing board with a lean/bent leg (had to stabilise with one arm while iron), and dated bathroom. Outdoor pool nice idea (just 15 meters).
I didn't try the food so cannot comment on that.

My family enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast was good, very convenient and close to shopping centers.

The reason for the 4 star rating is because some of the rooms are not noise proof so we can hear doors slams or people making noises at night.

Overall, great place for family holidays!

Unfortunately very dirty. Rooms are exceptionally un maintained - mould, dust, paint flaking… our balcony door handle literally fell off! Then we were stuck in the same room with a door that wouldn’t fully close or lock. Tried to raise concerns with management and website, still waiting. They advertise electric vehicle charging but then their charges software is locked to Tesla only. We had to call Tesla ourselves to work this out, then still no reply from management (apparently it’s a simple button click fix!). So very disappointing.

There was 6 of us dining.unfortunately my mother ordered the lamb it was so tough she couldn't eat it.The waitress agreed with her as couldn't even push the fork in.She spoke to the Chef and it was dismissed .our other meals were great

We had a 2 night stay. Our balcony room had a view over a smoking area that had cigarette smoke blowing in our room
This area was filthy with broken furniture and broken flooring. There was a dirty plate with food on one of the tables for the entirety of our stay
The outside common areas were generally not clean with very old and tired furniture. There were large cobwebs in these areas
The room itself was clean. However one of the bathroom sink taps leaked as soon as you turned it on
The toilet sistern ran all night on our second night
There was significant noise in the hallway at around 6 in the morning with trolleys carrying glass was being pushed past our room for about 10-15 minutes
Considering the cost to stay here we certainly would have expected way more
We won’t stay here again
Parking at $50/night is ridiculous
We will be contacting the property with photos we took

We were not impressed at all, first time staying at a 5 star, which was not what we got at all.
We waited 20min after checking in at 2.15pm for a room key.
We were not told anything about the hotel, where the lifts were, where to go for breakfast.
When i asked what floor we were on told level 14, asked where the lift was and clerk pointed no instructions.
The air conditioning did not work properly, the room smelt like smoke, shower was over the bath,meant to be sound proof, the room next to us were partying till 3am.
We spent alot of money expecting a great experience, but were very disappointed.
We get better service and experience from cheaper motels.

The advertised arm chair/lounge in the room was missing. Stained carpet at the room entrance. The bathroom floods every time you have a shower. The aircond is freezing cold and the in-room control for aircond does not work.
The restaurant! - Do not eat there! Food is over priced, not tasty, restaurant wait staffs are rude and arrogant (except a couple of them). Positive note is location. Definitely a 3 star hotel rating experience!
