Hotel consists of a main building and an annex. Reception is actually at level 7 accessed via calle Helsinki. There is a card access gate at level 1 to go to beach. Hotel facilitated a move from annex to main building after day 1. Loved second room. Good breakfast selection. Elevator did a couple of odd things during our stay and one not in use.

We had a great stay and were very happy with our room and the amenities. Guests should be made aware there is loud music playing until after midnight each night from the beach bars. Had to close the balcony door to sleep when we’d rather hear the ocean waves. Most guests would be fine with the lively atmosphere…

Really lovely hotel. The staff were all very friendly and approachable.
The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained including the outdoor areas. The pool areas are nice and have lots of different areas to sit.
Drinks and food at the hotel were fine, buffet had a lot of choice and catered to every requirement one might have and the opening hours were very good.
The only thing I wouldn’t recommend and would advise to avoid would be the mediteranium restaurant which is paid for or 1 meal free for every 5 nights stayed… the atmosphere and service in there was really lacking and the food was ok at best.
Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend and return.

We stayed for 4 nights and had a lovely holiday. Room was incredibly comfortable with great air con. Hotel situated very close to the beach and had multiple pools. The free aqua aerobics class was great fun! Sunbeds were spread throughout the pool area and on multiple levels, which meant you could scope out a more private quiet area if that was desired. Only slight downside was the dinner service was inconsistent for vegetarians - some nights had quite limited options (other than the classic salad bar).

Good property location. Good food choices for the all inclusive option. Only negative was all inclusive ends at 11pm nightly. The service was very good and the staff and waiters do an excellent job cleaning tables and keeping tables open and ready for customers. The main pool was taken out of service 2 nights. But they have a second pool and because is a walk across the street.

Recommended if you like all inclusive.

It’s nice and the staff is really give. The hotel is well located on the beach. The only problem those cheap merchants across the street (on the beach). If you want to enjoy the hotel explore further from the location.
Also it’s more like all-inclusive (which I dislike). It’s not a Club Med and the clientele isn’t either.
But I would recommend it because it was cute, clean and the staff was great. I didn’t take the all inclusive option and it was a great decision for me.
I took the breakfast option and that was a great decision. In a radius of 1km, it’s the best option. One thing the music is loud.

This hotel is great! The staff are amazing and the location is perfect… so near the beach but you won’t want to leave your pool side lounger to relax your stress away. Claudio and Christina were very accommodating to our needs. Our room had a great view of the ocean, the beach, the dunes, and property and was very comfortable.

A mixed bag. Location is excellent close to beach and great walks along promenade. Hotel is a little dated but overall okay. Buffet is generally good, however, coffee not great and please use real orange juice rather than concentrate. Plastic plants in the lobby don’t fit with hotels desire to be eco-friendly. Overall a good stay. Although, they don’t take Amex.

Our time in this hotel was excellent. It is a stone's throw away from the beach and close to a range of restaurants, shops and bars / clubs.

The dinners at the hotel were especially impressive. Elements of the menu changed every day and always left us with pleasant surprises and new delicious food to taste.

Very friendly, dedicated and professional hotel staff. The food was excellent, they offered a variety of different dishes. There are also vegan options like soy milk for your Cappuccino. Every evening live singers play in the nice hotel bar. We enjoyed that a lot!
The location is really good - the beach is just across the streets.
I can only recommend the hotel.

My sister and I enjoyed our stay. We paid for the lavish breakfast buffet and recommend it. The room was spacious and clean and we had a view of the ocean. The only thing that was difficult was getting access to a chaise in the sun near the pool. They were scarce and it was competitive to claim one! Also, people would put their towels down and leave for hours, which was aggravating. The proximity to Playa Inglés was spectacular and we enjoyed early morning walks on the beach. Beware of the nudists, if that sort of thing bothers you (it amuses me).

Overall, the stay was very good and it’s our third stat in the last four months. The hotel is good, with good ammenaties in a very good location The staff are generally very good especially in the unique breakfast restaurant. There are issues in terms of the delays when ever you go to reception, including check-in or if you require something as simple as a new key, over 15 minutes wait is really not acceptable. The way time is always excessive. They also have a individual checkin desk for unique guests, which in the three times I have been there totalling 25 days, I have only ever seen that desk manned on one occasion.

The property is fresh, clean, modern in a boheme style. The rooms are big and with a nice balcony and there are a lot of cozy outside areas within property grounds. The buffet is also good and Luna has a good program with pilates, yoga, aqua fitness and more than one can join. All staff was really friendly and service minded except some of the male staff in the reception which was not very friendly and made it seem like we were ”in their way“ for asking them very basic things (twice during our week stay). A little weird as all other staff was so forthcoming, sweet and friendly! But all in all we had an amazing time at the hotel 😊 Playa des ingles is a very touristic and quite worn down area but the beach is beautiful and very wide and long.

A perfect location to explore the Dunes of Maspalomas. Friendly staff and lovely facility and grounds. Food ( all inclusive) was pretty good, it would be the only area of any disappointment was the variety of options, particularly breakfast. All in all we were very happy! Good value for the money.

Great hotel with good facilities and free keep-fit/yoga/pilates classes provided in the main pool, or on the nearby beach.
The local beach-side shops and restaurants were fairly basic/tacky, but the nearby town-side eateries were much better quality fare. The hotel buffet was comprehensive and good, and the a la carte restaurant good value (excellent Lamb Tagine).
One negative was that the towels in our bathroom were past their best, perfectly clean but small and thin, whereas the pool towels were much better quality and substantial.
Another minor irritation were the paper napkins in the buffet, a decent linen napkin (as in the a la carte restaurant) would have been appreciated.
Neither of these minor irritations spoilt a thoroughly enjoyable holiday in an ideally positioned hotel.

We had all inclusive holiday and did not eat outside the hotel but unfortunately had food poisoning after dinner one evening. The all inclusive cocktails were watered down (admittedly by the bar attendant).
The walls between the bathrooms had no sound proofing at all and everything could be easily heard from next door.

All of the staff at the hotel were delightful, very helpful accommodating and friendly. The hotel has a spectacular setting looking over the beach with beautiful landscaped gardens with plants and pools on different levels. We were half-board so treated to all you can eat breakfast and dinner which changed every evening.

I am in London foodie and thought the food was brilliant. Tasty and unfussy. The variety was huge.

I would definitely recommend staying here.

What a fantastic find - we booked relatively last minute and were really pleased with this hotel. We opted for half board and to be honest, the breakfast selection was so good, we remained full through until dinner! Going during winter, I think the hotel was a lot more relaxed then it would be during peak season. All of the staff were so incredibly friendly, especially the restaurant staff. I'd definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at Corallium Dunamar! The hotel is exactly as pictured. We loved the chairs on the balcony in the main lobby bar - overlooking the sea. We did all inclusive and it was great value. The prices for extra drinks and food outside of the all inclusive were really great value as well. The all inclusive drinks were great for me - rose, sangria, cava and beer but my husband didn’t love the red wine so paid extra for better wine. The weather was not amazing so we didn’t get to try the sun loungers or pools but it all looked really nice. We had great service from everyone. It’s definitely an older crowd but for us that was perfect as we wanted an adults only environment.

I loved the location of the hotel, so near the beach and water sports. The reception, maintenance, pool attendants, dining, and all the staff are the most respectful and welcoming staff I have met for a very long time. The dining room food and service are terrific a wide and varied menu every day, It can get a bit busy, especially in the morning, turns into a railway station. Unfortunately, it is now an adults-only hotel, so I cannot take some of my family there, 6 guests occupying 3 rooms for a week simply because my grandson is15 years of age and below the accepted age for the hotel. Now on the downside, as it is declared as a four and a half star hotel, there is no porter service to take your suitcases from the taxi drop off to your room, I am 83 years of age, carrying 2 cases up the steps and along the long corridor to the room did NOT give me a good impression. The hotel group as is Lopesan is quite a big company but as is the case with many hotels in Spain, stuck in the 19th century. They charge 2 Euros a night to hire the room safebox, and 1 euro to change your pool towel. On my 1st week I paid about 200 Euros a night for half board, is that not enough to cover the cost of renting the safe box and changing a few towels? My strongest objection is, the used crockery,glasses, etc. are wheeled out of the dining room on trolleys with hard wheels, the whole thing rattles and bumps along past you every 90 seconds while you are at the table trying to enjoy the marvelous food.

Book another hotel, honestly. If you have to stay in this hotel book room only, as view is really good. Food here is a disgrace, usually cold and totally tasteless. All inclusive drinks are premade and tasteless, not worth a single euro. We've booked double bed, but only twin beds are available apparently. Hotel forces you to choose 30 mins slots for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The latest available slot for dinner is 9pm and they also close at 9pm, so you have few minutes to order. They serve the worst coffe ever, seriously if there would be the worst coffee olympic competition they would win a gold medal. Hotel states that they do everything to fight covid, while at the same time there is only one bar opened from 10am to 6pm so everyone in the hotel have to queue there.
All hotel windows looked like they weren't cleaned at all.
I've stayed in several hotels in gran canaria and this one was the worst. I will never visit any lopesan hotel again.

Cons: Some of the restaurant staff weren't super friendly, and generally the hotel is very tailored towards Germans of a more mature generation. As a young gay couple, we felt like we were ogled a bit now and then, and the staff continually kept on checking in if we were actually all inclusive or not.

Overall, we didn't mind the crowd as we wanted a chill holiday, and think the renovated property was beautiful. A few more restaurant staff could probably help them be a bit less stressed!

Hotel was nice. Lobby was great. Room was good, we were upgraded to one with balcony. Breakfast was excellent. Parking was available nearby. Hotel was literally across the beach. On the beach boardwalk there were hundreds of shops and restaurants. Also on this beach you can find the famous Más Paloma’s Dunes. Within walking distance the city center offered even more places to eat and drink. Nightlife was amazing!! Multiple karaoke bars and entertainment flooded the lively area.

This is a lovely hotel and was almost perfect, except for the wifi in reception, which was very slow. Having said that, this may be due to the local network and may, therefore, be beyond the hotel's control. The other thing which concerned me a bit was the fact that the shutters next to the window did not close hermetically, meaning that, when the air conditioning was on, it was constantly working against warm air coming in from outside, which is obviously not energy efficient and, therefore, not good for the environment.

Apart from that, though, the hotel was beautiful. The cuisine was delightful and, combined with daily exercise, I felt so much better after a ten-day stay there. It actually gave me some tips as to food that I could continue eating back home! :) There were two delightful swimming pools, one with a jacuzzi, the hotel staff were extremely polite and friendly, and in general the hotel was very secure, clean and very well decorated.

It was literally a stone's throw from the beach, although I didn't go there, because my skin is very white and, therefore, I needed to watch out for the sun for the first few days. I would say, use factor 50 initially, limit your exposure to the sun and try to avoid the sun between 2pm and 4pm, as this is when it is strongest.

The main nightlife area is the Yumbo Centre, which is a short, pleasant walk up a winding, very smart, very modern looking road. There are also a variety of bars along the seafront.

Good Hotel short walk from excellent beach.

I found this IFA Dunamar hotel to be a good clean hotel with a good range of food and drink. In some respects it is in need of a little updating as the décor is showing signs of wear and tear. Pool side accommodation is fine, although many of the other guests still seem to think it is fine to reserve the sunbeds by placing their towels on them as early as 7.30 am. The pools are well kept and clean, with good showers and toilets. My room was clean and tidy with enough storage space for two, although the seating a little care worn. The bed as in most hotels was far too firm for my liking, bordering on bench like. The room had air conditioning which was efficient if a little noisy. The buffet style restaurant was always busy at meal times and I, on occasion found it difficult to find a vacant table. Waiting staff were very good as were the bar staff. Because of the now general ban on smoking inside, the availability of outside seating for non-smokers away from the smoking public, is almost impossible to find, and I found this quite off putting when trying to enjoy an after dinner drink in the fresh air outside. The hotel has one of the best positions in the area close to the beach and local shops as well as the somewhat noisy beach bars. I usually prefer to hire a car so that I can visit the local area at my own pace, but as the hotel has no parking on site and the only other area for parking is a public pay as you go one I had to forgo the use of a car.

Few silly things charging for the use of the in room safe and if you want a clean pool towel you had to pay. In room internet was charged for but lobby and restaurant was free.

Absolutely The Best... Nos Encantaba IFA Dunamar

We just returned from IFA Dunamar and 4 wonderful days. I don't know why people have said negative things about the hotel. It exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was great, the staff really worked hard to make us feel welcome, and the hotel was beautiful and perfectly located (minutes from the beach and the excitement of Gran Canaria. The location was perfect. The only issue was that the bed was a little hard/firm for our liking. But I'm sure some guest like firm beds.

I just want to say please ignore the negative things written and book at IFA Dunamar, you will be happy you did. We will definitely return.

I am in my 50's, my parter is 40. Not too much fun for us here. This is an excellent place for older folks. Close to the beach. No steps up or down. Food is 4 stars. Views from balconies and pool bungalows are good. 80% of the clientele is older. Most waiters speak, Spanish, German and some English. The hotel has a bar from 10pm to 2 am where you see a lot of older folks have a lot of fun, including dancing to some old german song. VERY VERY CUTE. If you are young 20's or 30's or single, this place will be good for sleeping and food but that's about it. Great looking hotel and the staff is very helpfull.

Large and busy hotel - did not suit us

We booked on-line at short notice. We were touring the north of the island and decided to have two days of sunshine and relaxation before going home.

Good points: very close to the beach with good walking to the dunes; all rooms seem to have a good sea view; several pools and no shortage of sun loungers; entertainment in bars if you like that sort of thing (but mostly bland international songs).

Bad points: very large and busy hotel - if you prefer boutique hotels and don't like crowds don't stop here; everything is charged as an extra (€3.50 for a bottle of water left in room, €5 towel deposit etc.) even though the daily rate is not cheap; no parking and parking tickets given in the nearest square; no menu card in restaurant, only a large buffet (very impersonal); gate to beach normally did not work for re-entry; noisy area of town (but quiet in room with doors closed); loads of tacky shops next to hotel.

Hotel should be rated a 3 not a 4. It was in an excellent location although the beds and pillows where terrible also the carpets in the room were dirty and caused allergic reactions.

I enjoyed this hotel. The proximity to the beach was perfect. Just a quick walk across the street and through the board walk. Restaurants around the area were plentiful. There were a lot of little charges here and there. Examples beach towels, Wifi and ironing for clothes. Breakfast was awesome and with great variety. Included were scrambeled eggs, bacos, sausage, potatoes, pastries, variety of fruit, cereal, yogurt, pancakes, slices of meat and every variety of bread imaginable. Would recommend it!

The hotel has a great location. The playa del ingles main beach is across the street. The breakfast buffet was very good, with a great selection. The only down side is that the pool closes at 6pm. I think this is standard for the area, but I thought an inconvenience, because I enjoy evening swims.

Dunamar - nice beach location

Overall, our stay was very nice at the Dunamar. The hotel personnel were all very nice and seemed to be very cordial. The location was very nice, just across from the beach. When we arrived, our bags were missing from our flight; unfortunately the hotel was not able to provide much for us besides a toothbrush and a comb. Another disappointment was that we had to pay for all extras; the safe in our room had a fee as did towels at poolside, etc.. I understand paying a deposit (5 euros/towel), but not the fee we had to pay when asking for clean towels.

Location,location,location very good.

Situated in a great location both right on the seafront and only minutes from the night time action of the Kasbah and Metro Centres, this large hotel is one of the more classier properties right bang in the center of the resort.
Nice bars, restaurants and terraced pool areas outside.
Liked the large breakfast with a great choice as part of the half board arrangement.
Only disappointment was the lack of english television channels in the room. BBC did not work and no movie channels or anything else to watch in what was otherwise a nice 5 star hotel room.

Personalen var väldigt väldigt välkomnande och otroligt serviceinriktade. Vi blev magsjuka nästan direkt när vi kom till hotellet MEN EJ hotellets fel alls. Dom gjorde allt för att vara så tillmötes som möjligt, ringde tom varje upp och frågade om hotellet kunde göra någonting. Fick info om att vårt flyg är försenat och frågade om vi kunde ha kvar rummet några extra timmar vilket inte var några som helst problem.
Kan inte annat än att rekommendera detta hotell fullt ut till alla. Fick ett stort fint rum (1221) med otroligt fin havsutsikt. Ser verkligen fram emot att boka nästa vistelse här igen. Har bott mycket inom Lopesan familjen (Baobab, Villa del Conde Meloneras vilka oxå varmt kan rekommenderas men de här var något extra, extra framförallt servicen.

Sijainti oli hotellin parasta antia. Hotellin kunto ei ollut paras mahdollinen. Hissejä oli liian vähän hotellin kokoon nähden. Kuntosali oli alimmassa kerroksessa, siitä ei oltu pidetty huolta ja siellä haisi viemäri. Lounas ja illallinen olivat ruokala-tyyppiset.

Wir hatten als Paar All Inclusive gebucht für 6 Tage. Grundsätzlich war das Hotel schön und ganz okay. Leider (was bei der Buchung so nicht klar war) gab es diverse Privilegien für „All Inclusive Unique“, die nur mit einem Aufpreis von 16€/T/p. genutzt werden konnten (Liegen, Whirlpool, Loungebereich). Raucherbereiche waren auf dem ganzen Areal sehr begrenzt, Poolbar öffnete erst um 12.00 Uhr (was es schwer machte A.I. richtig auszunutzen). Die Speisen am Buffet waren teilweise nicht oder ungenügend beschriftet, was es für mich als Vegetarier teilweise schwierig machte. Die Bar schloss bereits um 23.00 Uhr, die musikalische Unterhaltung war aber top. Die Pools sind relativ klein und das Wasser war sehr kalt. Alles in allem okay, aber nicht was wir uns vorgestellt hatten, leider keine 5 Sterne von uns. Die Umgebung Playa del Ingles war für uns sehr heruntergekommen und keineswegs ein schönes Ambiente - dafür kann das Hotel aber nichts.
