Loved the property. Very friendly staff especially David at reception answered all my questions and such an enthusiastic employee. The hotel is 230 rooms or so so not gigantic which I enjoyed. Plenty of lounge chairs at pool and easy walk to the beach where you do have to go down 3 floors of stairs as its a cliff. The quality of buffets was excellent and rotated daily. Would definitely recommend.

Good but not as good as I have had there before
I have stayed here a number of times before - it is clean, modern, well furbished and well located 5 mins walk from either the Yumbo or the Beach. It has two good pools and entertainment nightly. It was full on my recent visit and unfortunately for some reason staff were reserving large numbers of loungers before dawn each morning for guests who actually sometimes didn't use them during the day. This was annoying as these were in the best spots which meant you had to keep trying to move around to find the sunshine. I am not sure why certain people got such service but it didnt seem terribly fair. The food I found rather predicatable and repetitive and could have done with some more imagination - it is fine, but is rather \"same again\" day in and day out. Compared to times I have stayed before you could tell it was full because the level of service wasn't quite as good as I have had before. But it is a good place to stay especially if you don't mind buffet food - the speciality restaurant which has to be booked is excellent. A call out for my cleaner - garden room 34. She was excellent.

Great location for the beach. Food and drink options throughout the day were excellent. I really enjoyed the extra effort made for Christmas. Evening entertainment was not always worth staying for, but hotel was convenient to yumbo center.

Rooms are small but very clean, modern and comfortable with balcony overlooking the pools / sea and large bathroom with twin sinks and rain shower. Staff are all friendly and helpful. All-inclusive with a good choice of drinks in the bars and a wide variety of food in the restaurant of a reasonable standard. Choice of two unheated pools with comfortable loungers and free towels and a pool bar for drinks and snacks. Good quality evening family entertainment. Well-appointed gym. Handy luggage storage and shower facilities mean that if you have time to kill between checking out of your room and catching your flight you can stay and enjoy the pool.

Excellent hotel.
This hotel is truely fabulous. Already booked for next year. The food is amazing & so varied. There is a lovely bar which we went to every night. The bathroom is huge & the beds comfortable.

Very peaceful hotel for mostly an older clientele. The inclusive half board was a pleasant surprise. The central location near the Yumbo centre makes it ideal for people who want to party but then return to a quieter hotel.

Stayed for 4 nights at the end of our trip round GC. Hotel is a bit tired and could do with some updating but everywhere was spotlessly clean.

This my 5th visit to this hotel. I like it principally, because of its location. Near to the beach as well as the Yumbo Centre, where there are lots of shops, the bus station where you can take a bus to the airport or to anywhere on the island. The very helpful Tourist Office is located there as well.
The food in the hotel is very good, the pool and the pool area are great. The rooms are comfortable and everything works. If you find the bed too hard, they will provide an extra mattress.
I would have rated the hotel higher, but I think the 20 Euro a week charge for wifi is disgraceful, specially as it is only available in the common area on the ground floor.

Loved every minute!
From our very first arrival at your hotel, myself, husband and son truly had a wonderful experience. We could not fault a thing. Made to feel so welcome by your friendly staff, rooms spotlessly clean and the tastiest food to cater for every palate. The beach, was well within walking distance with plenty to see and do. Definitely our 2015 Gran Canaria holiday staying at Hotel Riu Palmeras will always be remembered! A tear in my eye was when I left to go home.

We had a wonderful and relaxing time in this centrally located hotel in Playa del Ingles, very much helped by the friendly and attentive staff and manager. Both the Breakfast and Dinner Buffet offered a wide and delicious variety of local and international dishes which changed daily in case of the Dinner Buffet. The pool area and gardens are very well maintained, peaceful and relaxing. Evening entertainment offered a variety of acts incl. the resident band. My only gripe, please no cocktail cherry in my next Cosmopolitan.

Just returned from a weeks stay at the Rui Palmeras .From our arrival which was around 10pm (a cold buffet had been put aside for us) to our departure I can honestly say that ALL of the staff we encountered could not do enough to make our stay a memorable one. They really know how to provide a high standard of service. The facilities are spotless including the pool area. The food is really good and there is plenty of variety. The hotel is situated a 5 minute walk from the beach and 10 minutes from the Yumbo Shopping Centre.
The only negative comment I could make would be that we had to pay for internet usage which in many hotels we have stayed in is usually free of charge however it did not impact on our holiday.
Prices for drinks and bar food is actually cheaper than the bars and restaurants and therefore encourages you to spend more time at the hotel.

The staff at the hotel are fantastic and can't do enough for you. The food was varied and of a very high quality. Located close to the beech and major shopping centres. The hotel has a very large pool and plenty of sun loungers available.

All the staff at this hotel from Manager to Maid were very friendly and cheerful. The food was very good and there was always plenty of choice. There was always plenty of sunbeds available around the pool. The evening entertainment was varied and of a very proffessional standard. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay.

First impressions of the hotel were excellent. Staff were more than helpful and very polite. Porter service again excellent. The hotel bedrooms are an entirely different matter. Furniture is dated and the room small. Balconies are all overlooked with minimal furniture all of which is plastic (one chair was broken) Bathroom is small but ample with excellent lighting. No tea and coffee facility and very expensive mini bar.

Great Playa del Ingles 4 star hotel
An excellent hotel (stayed in one of their 'bungalows' which was more like a two floor suite) with fantastic staff, great buffet breakfast and dinner, and clean rooms, all within impressive grounds. Felt like a 4 star hotel, although we did not stay in their main rooms. This hotel clearly attracts a more mature cliental which is either good or bad depending on your own age group.

Ce Riu n’a rien d’un palace si ce n’est la taille de son infrastructure. C est un lieu pour tour opérateur (Tiu en l’occurrence). Un lieu où la moyenne d’âge est fort élevée et surtout où la nourriture mériterait le passage de l’hygiène. À côté de ça, le personnel est au petit soin et essaye de compenser, …, en vain. Vraiment très déçu par ce séjour.

Merveilleux sejour. Le personnel est ultra gentil et disponible. Les chambres sont tres confortables et bien insonorisées. A l'exception du snack qui est très moyen, les buffets du restaurant sont très variés et de très bonne qualité ; il y en a pour tous les goûts. Cela fait 2 fois que je viens dans cet hôtel, je n'hésiterai pas la prochaine fois.

Formidabel, selbst am Nachmittag wurde mein Zimmer noch geputzt. Alle 2 Tage Zimmerbar aufgefüllt. Viel Platz im Bad, besonders toll, dass gedämpfte Licht, dass automatisch angeht beim betreten des Bades, damit in der Nacht es einem nicht blendet. Hervorragend gute Matratze. Keine Netzstecker für das Handyladen nötig. Die Wäscheaufhängung auf dem Balkon eine ausgesprochen und praktische Idee! Die Aussicht - Toll! Auch nach Mitternacht kann man noch Essen. Poolanlage wunderschön! Auch für Schwimmer ideal! Abendevent hat mir auch sehr gut gefallen - angenehme Musik, auch zum Tanzen.

Así que en cuento al personal, les pongo un sobresaliente.

Lo único q tengo q qué decir es que la habitación era un poco ruidosa me la dieron justo enfrente del cuarto de las señoras de la limpieza y hacía mucho ruido y me despertaban muy temprano evidentemente están haciendo su trabajo y es respetable pero es muy molesto.

Un hotel muy comodo y tranquilo.la habitacion muy amplia y con una terraza con mesa y sillas con vistas a ls piscina. Pasamos 10 dias estupendos! La comida rica y variada. Muy cerca de tiendas,bares y de la playa. Pero tengo que decir que el alma de un hotel son sus trabajadores y en este se superan con creces! Se vuelcan en ti y en tu comodidad y en hacerte sentir en casa.. tengo que hacer una mencion especial a FONQUI en el comedor y a GUSTAVO en recepcion son grandes!

Ottimo hotel a due passi dal mare. Personale gentilissimo e disponibilissimo. Cibo buonissimo e vario ogni giorno con personale di sala attentissimo ad ogni esigenza. Ristorante ordinato è pulitissimo. Stanze confortevoli anche se arredamento un po' datato. Struttura adatta sia a famiglia con figli che a coppie! en la habitación el mobiliario estaba un poco anticuado, la luminosidad era escasa y la cisterna no funcionaba, pero lo que menos nos ha gustado es la poca comodidad de los colchones que necesitan cambiarse, nos levantamos con dolor de espalda.
Tampoco nos gustó que la elección de las mesas en la ena no fuiera libre, aunque cuando deseamos cambiarla, la metre fue muy amable y accedió a nuestra petición.

La seconda volta che vado al Riu Palmeras, anno scorso sono rimasto molto soddisfatto, quest anno non è andata esattamente come speravo, camera piccola molto rumore la notte fino mattina tardi (ore 5 si sentiva ancora la musica del vicino locale).

Vacaciones tranquilas.
Mi pareja y yo fuimos unos días para desconectar y realmente en este hotel lo conseguimos. El ambiente era tranquilo, la media de edad del hotel era alta por lo que en la piscina apenas había ruido. Las instalaciones son antiguas, pero está todo muy bien cuidado y limpio, se nota que se le hace un buen mantenimiento. La habitación tenía vistas privilegiadas a la piscina y a las dunas de Maspalomas, de hecho la ubicación del hotel es inmejorable, puedes ir caminando a la playa, a las dunas y a los centros comerciales. La comida está muy bien, hay mucha variedad y tiene sabor, por hacer una crítica no tienen zumo natural. Resaltar el excelente personal del hotel, sobre todo los camareros y cocineros, siempre tienen una sonrisa y palabras amables.
