I traveled solo and my room was very comfortable and simple. If you’re high maintenance this isn’t the place for you. This is for people who don’t need or do too much. I enjoyed the breakfast that was included, Juan went above and beyond to ensure I had transportation to and from the airport, the pool was nice and was a chill vibe. Water pressure was great and everything is close by and walking distance.

Absolutely one of the best places I have stayed at! From the amazing staff to the little oasis of a hotel you will definitely not regret staying here! The reviews about the cleanliness is spot on it truly is that clean. The breakfast was phenomenal which was included in our stay! Don’t worry about the walk to the beach it truly isn’t bad at all and I found it to be a great way to see the town everyday! The staff at the hotel were not just nice but super helpful and give you local spots to you to check out. So sad to be leaving all of the staff they truly made the trip better than I could have imagined!

Our room was immaculate and absolutely lovely! Our single bungalow had a hammock as well. Beautiful setting close to many wonderful restaurants. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning which was included. Spent 11 days at Hotel Acro Iris and highly recommend it. Christian is a conscientious waiter who does an excellent job.

We had a very pleasant week staying at Hotel Arco Iris. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Breakfast options were all excellent and delicious. Our bungalow was very comfortably appointed. Lots of storage, shower products, hairdryer, fridge and safe. We enjoyed our front porch hammock and seating area daily. The pool was great and had plenty of lounging space.This lush, peaceful property, just minutes walk from the beach and the center of town, was the perfect place for us.

From the moment we booked, the customer service was great. Both Henry and Juan were a pleasure to deal with. They helped arrange transportation from La Fortuna to the hotel, as well as to the airport in Liberia for a decent price.

The hotel is pretty small, so we saw the same people at breakfast and by the pool frequently (which was really nice). The rooms were mostly stand-alone buildings (quaint). The room was clean and nicely furnished. We paid extra for the free breakfast. It was really worth the $. Very good options to order. The pool was somewhat small, but it was never crowded. While you are at the hotel, it is beautiful. The beach is about 1/2 mile walk, but you need to walk on the rocky, uneven, dirt shoulder of the road.

Very well maintained property and wonderful breakfast. I didn’t give five stars because they missed some of the little things, like providing a rubber bath mat for the shower. The floor tiles appear to be glazed. I almost slipped and fell every time I showered. Also, having to put soiled toilet paper in a wastebasket instead of flushing it is something I haven’t had to do anywhere I’ve traveled at this price range.

✨ My experience at Hotel Arco Iris was fantastic! The rooms were very clean and came with a wonderfully spacious king-size bed. The pool is in the central part of the property right off the lobby / restaurant / Hangout spot...and 24/7 coffee bar. The only unique aspect, which isn't a fault of the hotel, is the howler monkeys – they can be loud in the early morning, but for me it was comforting & *usually* there's enough time in between howls to fall asleep. Ha! The hotel staff was super friendly - I had a few hours to spare after checkout and before I needed to head to my next destination, and they stored two pieces of my luggage, one very oversized, at no cost. When I have such a pleasurable state at a place like this, It really makes or breaks it trip to a new city...& The Hotel Arco Iris is definitely a big reason why I will be coming back to Tamarindo. We absolutely loved this hotel from check in to check out and everything in between. It was close to the action, but far enough to where you didn't have to deal with noise. The back gate to the \"alleyway\" directly to central road was absolutely perfect so you didn't have to walk down the rocky dirt road near the front entrance. The front desk was always friendly and readily available for any requests we may have had. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked well. Breakfast here is fantastic too. 100% recommend this hotel and I hope to return soon!

A wonderful oasis in Tamarindo!
We stayed for four nights at the beginning of a 10-day visit to Costa Rica. We were looking for somewhere walkable to town and the beach, but with a pool where we could relax in the shade reading in the hot afternoons. Arco Iris was perfect! We stayed in room #2 - one of the individual cabinas with a covered porch and hammock. Comfy bed, spacious bathroom and dressing area, excellent AC, and perfect porch for watching birds and monkeys.
Daily breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Lots of options (I think we tried them all!), coffee available all day, a cold water dispenser, and so much space to sit and chill - shade or sun. The pool was refreshing and always clean, and the vibe was super chill.
Highly recommend and would be at the top of our list if we return to Tamarindo.

We stayed in three different hotels in Costa Rica for this week-long trip and this was by far the best. Though the rooms were a bit more expensive than the others, this was justified by the amenities. Rooms were nice, water was hot. And the breakfast, which is included, was a full made-to-order breakfast that would make any restaurant proud. Juan Carlos made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Would recommend.

One minor recommendation would be to reinforce the fumigation. In my bungalow, there were quite a few small ants (mainly in the bathroom, but I found a couple in the bed) and a few “zompopas”.

Quiet off the main road cute little hotel. Excellent service. Great breakfast each morning where the staff remembered your drink preferences. The rooms were nice and clean. We stayed 6 nights. The owner was on site and was very nice and friendly. We had eaten at a local restaurant and had a lot of leftovers for the next day. The owner let us use the plates and silverware used for breakfast and warmed up the food for us in their microwave. Over and above great service. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

My stay here was amazing - I would definitely stay here again the next time I come to Tamarindo! As a solo traveller I felt safe and the hotel is in a great location. 5 minutes walk to the main street and to the beach, yet a bit removed so it is quiet in the evenings so you can rest.
All the staff are so helpful and friendly. They helped me book all my excursions and transfers for a seamless experience. The accommodations and facilities are clean and well maintained, and the free coffee/tea/filtered water station are a nice touch. Their breakfast was also so delicious and a really relaxing way to start the day - definitely add it on!

First time to Costa Rica and Arco Iris really went above and beyond to help me with shuttles to and from the airport and helping me navigate where to go! Breakfast in the morning was a 10/10, if you like pancakes I highly suggest them!! Steven is such a wonderful person and I looked forward to seeing him in the morning, always happy and singing and never let my orange juice glass go empty … the orange juice is incredible!!! I would highly recommend this hotel for your next stay! I travelled alone and felt completely safe. 5 minute walk to the beach and restaurants are super close!
