Nice breakfast, front desk crew are friendly and helpful. Rooms are quiet and clean. Great location, tons of parking, well lit, and area felt safe. Short walking distance to BSU and area restaurants. Nice to have a fridge, drinking glasses, cooktop. Beds weren't the best--pretty firm/bouncy. Only 1 mirror in room and bathroom layout was weird--small tub/toilet behind a door next to a small vanity/sink and only one light switch for both areas. Turn on the light at night = wake up everybody else in the room. Otherwise, good place to stay for the price and we will definitely stay here again.

Hotel is clean and staff is friendly and welcoming. The location is great, walking distance to BSU and downtown. The gym, which is a major desire for my stay, is minimal equipment and not enough for my preference. The provided breakfast is standard, does have oatmilk as an option which is great, but I am gluten free so not a benefit to me. Overall I would stay here again. The bathroom light being tied to the main room not allowing the bathroom light to be on without disturbing your fellow room mates is also a downside.

The staff was nice. The room room was very dark (an extra lamp on the table or by the chair would have really helped). The bathroom was very dark. A trash in the kitchen would have been nice as well. The hallway on thr 3rd level smelled moldy. The breakfast was simple, but fine.

The location is great and the front desk staff was very nice.
The kitchen was kind of a joke... 2 forks, 4 spoons, kind of dirty.
There were 4 of us. There were no sheets/blankets for the pull-out couch and it was incredibly uncomfortable. We ordered a rollaway and there were sheets for that, but the thing was horribly noisy. We only had 3 towels and 2 hand towels.

Great location, rooms and staff!

Really pleased with the location - across the street from BSU and 10 minutes from Ann Morrison Park and the Boise Green Belt - also with the size of the rooms, and most of all with the staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, and truly seem to enjoy working here and with each other which says a lot about the management!

Not sure who’s rating these hotels but this is definitely not 4 stars more like 2.5-3! Only 1 small bathroom mirror in the entire room - very hard to get ready when you have a couple of people staying in the room. Very outdated furniture and decor - kept running out of food at breakfast.

It was our first time and will be our last at this hotel. We travel a lot for our kids sports tournament and been to TownePlace hotel many time at various locations along west coast.

The room was dirty when we checked in. The hotel needs to do deep clean in the room. Dust on top of refrigerator, old popcorn under bed. Eww. We checked in the evening, tired from our flight, the lady at counter try to sell us the group rate booking for our swim team and forgot to put in Cleaning request. We stayed 3 night and zero room cleaning. Room near the road is noisy. Breakfast is below average compared to other TownePlace.

The beds were terribly uncomfortable, our shower was broken and had to be jimmy rigged to work each morning (I told front desk it needs to be fixed) the bathroom light also operated the sink area. You couldn’t use the restroom without turning the light on for the whole room to wake up. No lamps other than bedside so the room was dark.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Location is super convenient for college move-in for west campus dorms and apartments. Easy access, lots of parking. Convenient restaurant across the parking lot. Rooms have kitchenettes! I did not partake of the included breakfast, but I did take advantage of the coffee and iced lemon water in the lobby! Only disappointment was the hot tub was out of order.

The following is my own personal experience.
It took hours for the room to heat up and was probably the darkest motel room we've stayed in. Definitely needs more lighting and, in this weather, keep the thermostat on for rooms that you know will be occupied.
I had ordered a king bed suite. Hotel staff had already given those rooms to their \"steady\" customers, and I was third party. I ask; \"So it doesn't really matter what room I order and pay for? That I am stuck with whatever room you pick?\" Basically, she said \"Yes\". (I am paraphrasing as I do not recall the exact words spoken.) The room they issued us had 2 Queen's without any real separation of bedroom/kitchen. But it was clean, and breakfast was satisfying. Definitely plusses!

Entire trip was for daughter's athletic event and chose this hotell for pool/hot-tub for recovery...(not to mention wife's bad back, after 8 hour drive to Boise). Arrived to find it empty and staff dismissive...said Marriott closing all hot-tubs. Guess we wont' be staying at any Marriott's, ever again.

Room I booked, the air didnt work in the bedroom. That was diappointing. They did upgrade us to a bigger room because of that flaw. The air is super finicky in the room. There also was one night there was no parking because their lot was full. The weekend manager was very accomadating and friendly.

We book a stay to spend time with family in the area. The staff greeted us promptly and was very friendly. The room was everything promised. I loved how comfortable the bed and pillows were. It made for a good night sleep.

The only thing I could complain about was the breakfast. They had the usual offerings which was okay but the bagels weren’t split with no knife or anything to split it. The fruit was all over ripe and old and should have been thrown out.

Overall, the stay was good. The room was a bit worn, especially in the bathroom. Obviously water damage and the toilet bowl was not clean under the rim. The bed was comfy and the amenities were good. I was disappointed that fresh made oatmeal was not part of the breakfast offerings as that is my travel staple. I don't like packets. The one issue that was annoying is that I returned to the hotel late Saturday night after the front doors were locked. My card key did not work and luckily someone else was coming in at the same time. Went up to my room and the key didn't work on my door either. I had to go back downstairs and no one was at the desk and I had to call the number for assistance. The man that helped was not friendly. He came from somewhere else in the hotel and when I said that my key didn't work, he asked if I had extended by stay and I said no, I was here for 2 nights. He just reset the key and gave it back without a word. The only thing I can think is that since I was checking out the next morning, my key was deactivated at midnight? It was very annoying to say the least.

The TownePlace Suites was perfect for the price. We got to bring our dog and she loved it too. The complimentary hot breakfast was pretty good too! Downtown is a scooter ride or walk away which made it easy to get where we were going

My only complaint was the noise - the rooms are definitely not sound proof at night. I think we stayed on a busy weekend - so not the hotel's fault just something to be aware of.

I stay almost exclusively at Marriott properties, including TownePlace Suites. This was the worst by far. The 2 bedroom suite was in bad condition. Furniture banged up, stained, etc. The room smelled strongly of bleach, so had to keep the windows open most of the time.

My visit started off great. On way into town, I called ahead and inquired into whether my room was ready. They said it was not but would get it taken care of. I got another call just minutes later asking if I would be interested in a larger room since mine was not ready. I was thrilled. The staff there was very polite in helpful. The breakfast was quite good. Only thinks I would suggest would be to get a slightly better mattress in the hideaway bed and put up some curtains or drapes in the pool room. There were some perverts there looking at us while in the pool.

the room wasn't ready and made up for us. We left for two hours, came back, and it still wasn't ready. A call to the front desk said we had a new room assignment and to come to the lobby. Got a new room two doors down from the first one. We lugged our luggage 6 times to the 3rd floor after an 8 hour drive from Montana. We are in our 60s and this was too much. The hot tub wasn't working.

Convenient location, walking distance to 4 or more restaurants within a few hundred yards.Dog friendly, which can be good or bad depending on how many dogs your neighbor has barking in their room.Hot tub was broken. The place is ok, but it's overpriced and needs some upgrades, especially the elevator. Slowest elevator in Idaho I'd assume. And pay more attention to cleaning the place, especially the bathrooms and hallways.

At 12:40 AM I was awaken out of a dead sleep by someone trying to get into my room WITH A KEY that open my door and luckily I used the locking latch thing inside because that’s what woke me when they pushed open my door and it in gaged the latch lock. I yelled at the top of my lungs and then heard a woman’s voice say sorry and shut the door. When checking out at 6:30 I brought it to the attention of the desk person and she said “oh, it was me, I’m sorry” WTH????? That’s was it! No reasoning for trying to get into my room or nothing else. Just gave a nice day! I was not happy………. I won’t be staying there again!

This hotel is VERY noisy. We where on the 2nd floor and it sounded like the people on the floor above where going to come through the ceiling. It also sits by a very busy road. The car noise is terrible. I now can see why this hotel doesn't get great reviews. Wont be staying here again.

Nice comfortable bed, clean room. BUT-this was the noisiest and most poorly built place we have stayed in Boise. People clomping around until 2am upstairs, sounded like they were in tap shoes and running back and forth. The bathroom drawer front was broken off, no hairdryer, and no kleenex in the room. They said\"housekeeping went home for the evening so go to the front desk if you need anything. I did get a hairdryer after requesting one. If you drink a lot or take sleeping pills this might be fine.

The beds were nice and that's just the beginning;

Grab and go breakfast sandwiches need to be microwaved but filling. Coffee is good. Kids were full from breakfast. Big nice room. Big table to eat at. Space for kids to spread out and play in the evening. Always had a hot shower with plenty of water. Clean room. Friendly staff. Hotel had maps and all the local info you could want. Good food nearby. Lovely view from our room. One of the nicest places we have stayed at in a long time.
