When we checked in we realized our remote for the tv was broken. I mean physically broken. We had to also ask for our own towels, toliet paper, and for them to empty our trash. When checking in they never told us we had to ASK for someone to come refresh our room. They emptied the pool halfway thru our stay and refilled it which meant it was freezing the rest of our time there. The hot tub was ice cold for 3 out of our 5 days until they finally figured out what was wrong. The location was great but the hotel itself was not.

Disappointed. Is an understatement.
We’ve stayed here a handful of times over the last couple of years and this visit was certainly our last.
The hotel room was nasty and falling apart. Bathtub hardware (faucet, handles, shower head) literally popped out of the wall about 2 inches when I turned on the water. A photo frame fell off the bathroom wall at the same time this happened and shattered right next to my bare foot. None of the surfaces were clean. Towels and bedding were stained. Headboards were covered in nasty splatters and handprints. And outside window wouldn’t close!! It stayed open about 5 inches, which was extremely significant!
The hot tub smelled awful and when we finished and got to the room, it was obvious how badly we smelled of all that same nastiness.
The washer and dryer required quarters but the front desk had none… and they didn’t have any suggestions where to get some, when I inquired.

The room was super affordable and I now understand why. This hotel has gone to SH. I will not return. Which is unfortunate because they had a lot of business from us in the past.

Walked into the pool with music loud rap, cursing. Went to tell front desk, they came and said something to guest, but guest did not turn it off. I went a second time to ask the front desk to ask them again. It was so uncomfortable because he had no idea why he had to turn his music off. Finally, after he did and left another guest did ask if she could play music and I told her please no we will be leaving soon. There was a dog barking in 2 rooms close to me, so I had to ask to be moved. The beds were on something metal and every time you moved you heard it. I went to relax and nothing about my experience was relaxing.

The bathroom had multiple broken safety rails, curtain rod fir shower, pee down front of toilet with debris stuck on it, hair on floor and walls in bathroom, asked to have it cleanedthey still left pee on the toilet. In a 2 night stay both nights children running screaming in halls and stairwells till 3am. Pot smoking in a room on our floor extensively. Fighting with staff involvement outside our room at 930pm, yelling and screaming from that as well stuck in our room for safety!

Worst hotel experience I have ever had. We stayed at La Quinta in Mason. This place should be condemned and closed. Disgusting hotel. Outdated, unkept and filthy. Everything is dirty; lobby, elevators, pool area, hallways and the rooms were all substandard and gross. I had to change rooms at 1am the first night as I woke up to bed bugs crawling on me. Unacceptable and awful. How in the world was this place selected as suitable accommodations for visiting families? I witnessed another soccer family at checkin go thru three different room assignments before asking for their reservation to be cancelled because of visible mold, stained bedding and dirty rooms. Shameful.

Front desk guy was kind of short with us when I explained I checked in on line. We got to our room and it had no hand soap. We asked to have someone come and replace it. We ended up going back down to the desk and the gave us two small bars of soap. There was also a dog barking all Saturday night - Sunday morning.

A strong four stars. While not perfect, the staff keeps it exceptionally clean. We stayed two nights and enjoyed it. They have your typical hotel hot breakfast,a very nice pool and hot tub, working fan in the bath and worked very hard to keep the place up, even sweeping the parking lot! The pool looked green, but the hot tub looked good. We did not go in. I would stay here again.

This place honestly felt pretty ghetto. I understand it’s on the cheaper side so I wasn’t expecting luxury, but some things were still ehhh

When we arrived there wasn’t even a trash can in the restroom and the shampoo bottles were empty. We mentioned it downstairs and nothing was really done about it. We stayed for two days and not once did anyone come to clean the room.

The pool area was worse. People were blasting music so loud you couldn’t even hear yourself think. The whole area smelled like mold, there were worms around, and the pool looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. No towels at all in the pool and barely any in the room.

The ice machine was broken and the water they offered was hot. Most of the staff also seemed very young. On top of that, the walls are extremely thin so you can hear everything happening in the rooms around you and the room hand a smokey kinda moldy smell.

To be fair, it wasn’t the worst place ever. We didn’t see any bugs in the rooms and the breakfast was decent. Maybe the place just had a couple off days while we were there.

If you’re just looking for somewhere to crash, don’t really care about comfort or good service, and just want something cheap then this place will probably work for you.

Young children jumping into the hot tub, I did message the front desk, nothing was done. Kids running the hallways and screaming and crying in the middle of the night. The bed sheets had animal hair on them and they were obviously soiled.

Staff was uneducated didn’t tell us the hours for breakfast correctly and the breakfast was horrible. They said their truck didn’t come, so there was literally very lacking options for breakfast.

The reason we booked this hotel was for the hot tub. When we got there the hot tub wasnt working. Oh well. No issues there. Then we were told 225. We got to roon 225 and it was a single king. I ordered 2 queens, since our son was with us. When we confronted the desk clerk. We dind out he wrote room 224. So the key for room 224 also opened 225.
So then he gives us a key to 210. We go in and at first glance, its ok. But as my wife starts looking. Its missing the smoke detector. There was hair on the sheets. Hair on the faucet. Blood on the mattress. The mattresses looked like they were 50years old. Extremely wore beyond their lifespan. We were 1 of 4 couples that got a refund that night.

The pool was freezing. The hot tub was cold. We could not use it during our stay. They offered a partial 25% refund without us even asking. It was a lie. We never received it. I called the manager after our trip and they would not let us speak to them. They asked for our name and number and they never returned our call. If this had not happened it would had been a decent stay. But this definitely rubbed me the wrong way.

They didn't have the room we booked and paid for in advance. Ice cream bar we bought on site was moldy and made my wife throw up for two hours. Pool has safety warning labeled on it. Contracted the flu here. Management said they would provide 30% discount for two nights and a 50% discount for another night. Have not received yet. Very disappointed

During my stay, I had a terrible face and torso reaction to something in the pillows. I spent the next five days lathering on hydrocortisone and made makeshift pillowcases. (See pic) We had a horrid snowstorm during my stay and the parking lot was not plowed and was an ordeal for me to traverse. I am handicapped with balance and walking issues, between the unplowed parking and the wet slippery lobby, it was a nightmare. I will not be staying at this chain again, and will make sure everyone I speak to will know why this trip was a nightmare.

Initially we were put in a room were the heat did not work. The staff was quick to check it out and move us when they couldn’t fix it. The new room didn’t have a tv remote and again the staff took care of it. When I was showering I found out that the conditioner and the body wash was empty and the tub was in disrepair. The room wasn’t filthy but wasn’t as clean as it could’ve been. So the long and short of it is the staff was wonderful but the hotel needs some work.

We had to change rooms when we arrived. The electrical to the TV, lights on the dresser and refrigerator were not working. Also when my wife used the sink, it flooded the floor. They reassigned us a different room immediately. That was good. The front desk clerk did his job and was polite but he seems not overly enthusiastic about working

I have pictures if there's a place to post. It was very irritating. The room wasn't swept or cleaned in some time. Stains on the towels and black mold growing on the ceiling in 310. I told them about it among the nasty microwave tray I took to him because I wanted him to see it. They said they were moving us to room 321 the next day and were going to treat the mold. Their way of treating it was white spray paint. The big ten championship game between Ohio State and Indiana was playing later that day. We got back from lunch and switched to 311. The TV worked in 310 had my 10 yr old with me and my wife. Go to watch the game TV is broke. I can't get anything until tomorrow the front desk girl tells me. By now I'm straight over this place and we went to dinner and came back to the room to sleep. My wife likes coffee...they neglected the coffee station it was old and nasty. Just extremely disappointing overall that staff seemed to just not care. I paid Friday and Saturday and it damn sure wasn't worth the $175. Not someone that leaves reviews but this time called for it.

The staff at check in were friendly and efficient. That’s the only good thing about this hotel. We booked a room with a king bed and a pull out sofa for myself, my husband, and our son. On the surface the room appeared clean, but the floor of the bathtub was peeling, the drawers in the dresser were full of trash and when we pulled out the sofa to put my son to bed the mattress was almost black with spots that could’ve been either blood or mold. I went down to the front desk to address the situation and the clerk just said they would contact the manager in the morning about it. Needless to say we didn’t end up staying there. I still haven’t heard back from management about a refund.

We stayed in the king bed suite. Room was clean. Shower had nothing to stop the water from getting all over the floor. The window had a gap in the top which let cold air in. We really wanted to enjoy the hottub only to find that the heater wasnt working so it was cold. The chemicals in the room were so strong it was burning my eyes. I asked for a towel and was given towels the size of hand towels.

We arrived Thursday evening and were given a first floor room with a broken window. It would not close, let alone latch. As such, we weren't comfortable staying in that room when anyone could have walked up and entered. The desk clerk then moved us to the 4th floor to a room that smelled AWFUL. We ended up leaving the window open for the 3 days that we were there because it smelled so bad. It smelled like old cigarette smoke, wet dog and mold and mildew. The desk clerk claimed that there were no other available rooms. The shower had a completely empty bottle of body wash, but don't worry, we were left a used bar of soap with hair on it in place of body wash. The hot tub heater didn't work, there was no housekeeping, two days in a row there was no hot food available at breakfast time. Overall, a terrible stay and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!
