Will never stay here or encourage anyone else to stay at this facility, everything that it displays on the website is COMPLETELY OPPOSITE of the actual facility. No locking outside doors, our room door wouldn’t lock either, old and very outdated, cold and mildew smell. We literally checked right back out and into a better hotel.

This property needs to be delisted. When we arrived there, there was no single car in the parking lot. The place is dark. The outside landscape seemed like it has been abandoned. There was no front desk person and we waited a couple of minutes. It was so scary. We decided to go somewhere else. Unfortunately, I made prepaid reservations for two nights. The Expedia was only able to give me one day out of two nights. Stay away from this property.

The only lady we had contact with was at the front desk and she was very nice. Ivery accommodating. Problem is the hotel needs to shut down. It was probably only eight guests in the entire building that evening. Our room had several dead roaches in the bathroom one of the two TVs wasn’t working. We were remotely placed around the backside of the hotel. I was concerned about security. I didn’t wanna leave my car there overnight. We decided to leave about 830. I called the hotel front desk and told him we were leaving the keys.

Our first impression was that the hotel was deserted. Only very dim lights in the lobby and hallways. Ripped upholstery on lobby furniture. Ceilings with water damage. Stained upholstery in our room. Our room was not at all as described. Had no refrigerator or microwave as in the description. The front desk clerk brought some to our room. Both were damaged - looked like frat house hand me downs. Would not stay here again.

The hotel seems barely functional. The ice machines are all broken, Beth faucets won’t shut off, stairway carpet is patched with duct tape, complimentary breakfast is only cereal and yogurt, and the exterior is overgrown with weeds .
It appears 75% of the facility is shut down for various reasons

Woken up by management banging on my door at 11:30pm accusing me of multiple calls to the front desk and hanging up. Manager came in and unplugged the phone from the wall. No apologies or accountability that their equipment is crap.

Run for your life. This is not the same hotel

If you are expecting the same hotel and rooms portrayed in the photos keep looking. This is not that hotel. The photos you see are of once nice and great hotel. This is no longer. The reality of this hotel is that is in now run down dirty broken shell of what it once was. (No exaggeration) We arrived to an empty parking lot with grass growing up through the cracks in the pavement. Went in. Checked in. Walked through the hotel to our room. It is all run down. Moldy tile ceiling tiles with water damage all over. Plants that have not been watered in years it looks like. All dead except the fake ones. Everything is covered in dust and dirt. The photo of that pool area in the photos. Imagine that abandoned for 10 years and that is the current state. The room smelled like cigarettes. Pee stains on the mattress cover. Not someone peed on it and it had been washed stain. Bright Bright yellow not been washed pee stain. Door knobs falling apart. The outside doors, no need for a key card they are just broken. Anyone can just go in and out as they wish. If you took the time anyone could probably walk in the back door of the hotel just go shake a door knob you have a free room. I have seen some shady dirty cheap hotels in my day. This one takes the cake no doubt. We were there 15 minutes and said no thank you. Checked back out and went to a different hotel. I can't even imagine what the breakfast would of been like. I wish we would of taken photos.

An old Crown plaza probably awesome in its day. No refrigerator or microwave in our room, breakfast a joke, cold cereal, hot cereal and a piece of fruit, maybe yogurt. No to go cups with coffee. Staff sitting outside when we arrived outside smoking weed.

The pictures online made it look better than what it really was. It was very outdated. The beds were so broke down they were very uncomfortable we woke up hurting so bad after sleeping on the mattress. It wasn't nasty but it just wasnt what i was expecting at all. There is a bob evans and a gas station right in front of the hotel. They had a heated pool which was very very nice. The bottom of the pool looked very nasty but i guess it is just stained. I will probably not stay there again but i guess for $100 you get what you pay for. And the staff was really friendly .

The room was clean and comfortable, if showing some age. I was surprised at how empty the hotel appeared. The breakfast was wanting but since there is a Bob Evans in easy walking distance, this was not an issue. It is very easy location to get quick access to I-71 and therefore most everywhere in town.

I wish I could give zero stars. Couldn't figure out which entrance to go in, drove around the building twice. A side door appeared to have some access, the front door where I finally did enter was woefully unlit, a single staff person behind several signs that were off putting. I did not feel comfortable so I left and Expedia will not credit me back because the property won't agree to it. I think Expedia should pull this listing from there offerings and refund my money, but it was booked under a no cancellation policy and so they won't.

Now Expedia won't submit this review. It says I have profanity that needs to be taken out. There is none.

Not a looker, but very enjoyable experience

When arriving, this hotel doesn’t look like much from the outside. However, the lobby area, pool area, breakfast area and rooms were well maintained and clean. The service we received was amazing. We booked this hotel for a one night trip to Cincinnati and the hotel accommodated our group of six very well. We spent the evening playing in the pool. The pool atrium was warm and clean. The pool water was warm and had jets running continuously filtering more warm water making the experience very enjoyable. The beds were firm, pillows soft, and the AC was strong and cold.

Overall, first impression wasn’t great, but I am very pleased we gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt.

Plenty of things nearby including a gas station and Bob Evans right near the parking lot. I read a lot of horrible reviews and considered canceling last minute, so I will try to address the things I read. Yes, the pool has weird hours and live plants which make it look in disrepair. Yes, there need to be updates- painted outside and better furniture in common areas. Breakfast in the morning is seriously lacking compared to other places. Our keys were not working, but the manager came in because it was a simple battery change on the door. The room was clean. The staff was always there the moment we came in and they worked really hard to address the needs of every customer at all times. It is a hotel and it serves its purpose- providing a safe, clean stay with easy access to area dining and travel needs. I would stay there again. People who give this hotel very bad reviews are obviously expecting the Waldorf. This is a middle of the road place for middle of the road people.

This hotel was nothing like the photos. There was trash everywhere. The room I had smelled like cigarettes so bad. The atmosphere was inside was hot a muggy. The ice machines didn’t work the vending machines didn’t work. We were told we’d have conjoined rooms but upon arrival they didn’t even have those available apparently. The pool was messy, and never opened during the day we had to ask.
breakfast consisted of just cereal, and a bag of apples. No wonder they don’t offer refunds or cancelations - a lot of people would be requesting them!! We were very disappointed in it.

This Hotel Looks Abandoned from the outside. It's in desperate need of Landscaping. The pool area has paint chips inside and outside the pool. That could possibly be Lead paint or make people sick! The property is very ran down. The pool area is not accessible unless you walk down to the front desk and ask them to unlock it. Towels are necer stocked. Key cards do not consistently stay activated. The only ice machine is on the 6th floor. There is rarely anyone at the front desk you have to wait for them to come. I like the location and easy access to both Kings Island and the downtown areas along with a short drive to restaurants, other attractions, and grocery stores. The front desk people were polite but seemed to be the only staff on site. I had to pay at check in and i think i would not have stayed and changed hotels if i had not payed up front. The place seemed to be a ghost town, only a handful of cars in parking. I did not see any cleaning staff. The pool was ok and a needed respite in the heat feom the days but there were piles of garbage in all the corners by the pool. I had to ask for fresh towels every day including for the pool. The building was run down with obvious ceiling leaks in places, dirty walls, cracks in walls. The beds were ok comfort, we slept well enough. The \"continental breakfast\" was just crappy stale coffee, stale cereal, and questionable milk. Continental breakfasts usually have other fresh options so that was disappointing. There was no room fridge to bring back fresh options to keep to snack on so we HAD to go out for food every time. We spent as little time as possible there. If i knew how this place actually was and not the dressed up photos, i would not have stayed here.

My first room had bed bugs it was crawling on the bed at 11:32pm on our first night
The outlets did not work in the room neither
of them.
Had no refrigerator or microwave in the room such an inconvenience when you there for 4 days and you have children.
The breakfast was only cereal ( it was stale)
Milk ( it was out dated ), yogurt ( it was good), oatmeal ( no butter at all ), coffee it was limited and that was it.
No one had no ideas where you could go grab a bite to eat at for your family you better google it. Air was not cool on one of the rooms. Over all it needs a few up dates and a lot of things repaired.
The beds was not clean , nothing was cleant I had to clean my self and there was other peoples leftover dirty towels in the room still

The hotel at one time was probably very nice. The young man working was very accommodating and provided us with a mini fridge. The room was ok, bed was comfortable, bathroom needs work. The pool was terrible. Breakfast was awful. Property has gone down and needs updating. I am sure at one time it was great, but not now. I would not stay again until major updates are done. Also, one of the rooms on hotels.com does not even exist at the hotel.

The hotel was run down, dirty and hot. There were many spots in the building where water leaks are evident and no effort to remediate the mold has been attempted. The hotel is a health hazard and needs to be looked into by the County health inspector.
On the hottest days of the year all of the common area HVAC systems were not running, Hall temps were pushing 100 degrees.

Even though the property is old. They do keep there bedding and beds up to date. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. They supplied plenty of extra linens and towels and we didn't have to ask. My only complaint was we had requested a fridge for medical reasons and they were not able to get us one. She did offer the fridge in there area but unfortunately it was too far from our room and had to be accessible within seconds. At least she offered. Most places don't even offer. Also it would be great to know the pool hours. My son wanted to swim, which is why we chose the hotel. They were already closed by the time we would return for the evening. Continental breakfast was ok. Dairy free options would be a great add. Myself and others would like to see me variety. If I came back to that area and NEEDED a hotel I would probably stay here again.

We were shocked when we saw the hotel. It looked like an abandoned building and there was absolutely no upkeep of the grounds. The pictures on the Hotel.com website was a complete distortion of reality. I had conference meetings there 20 plus years ago and it doesn’t look like any maintenance or care has been done since then. The complimentary breakfast was laughable. There was a Bob Evan’s close which provided a great breakfast. On the positive side, the limited staff was polite and helpful. They had no luggage cart available when we arrived but quickly found one that was held together by electrical tape. The room was comfortable and clean with no noise from other rooms. The price was more than affordable. I would not stay there again. The property is in a good location but needs a complete renovation.

This facility has completely gone down hill. One of the beds the frame was bent . Water damaged all over the building . The room beeds were very clean bathroom was not. And how cold items were served for breakfast. The lights weren't even properly on in the dining room to eat when we did leave in the morning not what my experience was 2 years ago when I came to the facility last will never go there again was not worth freaking almost $90 for the night.

Hotel was broken down. The pool was kept locked unless you asked for it to be opened. 2 out of the 3 staff we encountered was rude and disrespectful. The exit sign was hanging down by the electrical wires. The drop ceiling had places where they and removed the panels and it was just left like that. The pool area was dirty with trash thrown all around it.

The hotel is situated awkwardly and in need of major upgrades.
We were given a room in the 4th floor.
There was no ice machine or vending machines in this floor; we had to go down to three for ice.
The hallway smelled of strawberries (?) but the room smelled… musty?
The mattress had exposed springs and staples.
When showering, the drain was slow and the tub filled.
The continental breakfast left *much* to be desired and truthfully should not be advertised as a continental breakfast.
The pool was ok.
Don’t recommend if you have any expectations.

To start with a good, this is a great place to sleep. It's very quiet. Outside of that. Here are the negative.

First, the property looks like it's was built in the '80s for the '80s. It does not look like it's been updated since that point in time. The carpets were dirty. Several of the ceiling tiles on the first floor looked moldy. There was an old restaurant in the middle that was clearly not in use.

The \"free continental breakfast\" consisted of coffee, hot water, oatmeal, yogurt, and cereal. That was it.

I believe other reviews have said it as well. If you just need a bed to sleep in, this is a pretty good place to sleep. If you're looking for any other amenities, find a different hotel.

While the hotel room was clean and the staff attentive, the property was run down and had maintenance issues. The heat/thermostat in the first room we were given did not work. The front desk staff quickly came to the room to check and then moved us to a new room. The new room had a toilet that kept running, a loose toilet seat and the shower back up when in use. The towels and bedding looked clean, but were older and had a few old stains. The free \"breakfast\" was cereal, milk, apples, tap water in a jug, milk in a pitcher & coffee. No juice, muffins, bagels, toast. Strong smell of chlorine throughout the hotel. I would not go back.

Honestly this was disappointing. I will never stay at this hotel again. First room assigned had no air conditioning, we swapped rooms, and this one had ants all over the bed and in the bathroom. I didn’t appreciate waking up to ants crawling around. Definitely not worth $246 dollars for 2 nights.

This old hotel was probably very beautiful back in the day. it is a very large hotel with many, many rooms. However, it appears the maintenance crew is having trouble keeping up with repairs. Most noticeable is the lack of care for the dead plants in the old indoor restaurant and pool area. The pool is still functional; the restaurant is closed; but many of the surrounding indoor plants are dying.

Hotel was definitely a little run down and not as updated. The key cards for the rooms are a little iffy. The room was clean and ready for us which is the main part of the stay. The pool was nice can definitely tell the hotel used to be very nice, does look like the pictures with how everything is laid out just more dingy and ran down than it looks in the pictures. For the price of 100$ overall was an okay place to stay would possibly stay again.

New owners coasting on Quality’s brand name.

This is not part of the quality hotel chain. It has been purchased and is still being operated without any upgrades.
When we first got in, there were no lights on in the lobby.
The key we were given was an old quality hotel room key. The plants in the restaurant/pool area are dead or overgrown. The elevator is squeaky. The exit signs on our floor were falling out of the wall. My kids and I just wanted to shower and sleep. We had driven 10 hours. Out room’s carpet was sticky. The bathtub was grimy. Then it turned out the drain was backed up. We didn’t get those showers.
Laying down, our pillows were lumpy and the blankets were thin. We slept, but it was not a positive hotel experience.

The hotel was clean. The door knob would stay in the up or down instead of going back to the middle. We got another room. The only thing that was around the hotel was a Bob Evan’s Restaurant and a gas station.

Why isn't this place condemned? It was like an episode of Scooby Doo - the place looked deserted; the lights were flickering; the Exit signs were hanging from wires off the walls; the doors around the building were not locked. The blankets had stains and the TV didn't work. When I went to look for ice, every floor had a broken machine, and the elevator buttons were written on with a marker to tell you which floor. I took the stairs to avoid getting trapped and somehow ended up in a kitchen - no staff in sight. If we weren't just spending a few hours there for sleep, I definitely would have left. Why Expedia? Why do you promote this?

The whole facility was dimly lit with buckets catching water from leaky ceiling . The plants around the salty pool were dying. There was someone already staying in the 1st room we went to. Our rooms carpet needed cleaning. If it hadn't been raining & late I would have gone somewhere else. Bad experience.
