The room was clean,but very utilitarian/industrial. There was no soap or shampoo (there is a soap dispenser in the shower) and only one towel. There are no phone charging outlets in the room. Having said all of this, it was great for the price and location and I would definitely stay again. The breakfast was quite good as well. It's not a hotel, but a hostel with some private rooms. It's also a non-profit, with the goal of uniting people from all over the globe. The staff were very nice and so was the vibe of the place. It might not be a good choice for an older more dis-concerning traveler with higher hotel standards. I liked it (I'm 58), but could see problems for some people. You get what you pay for and I was happy with what I got for $100 CND!

The staff took 1.5 hours to check me in the room, gave me a wrong room on the description and gave me room with 4 bunked and I did not request that. I had initially requested a single room with 1 single bed. If they a single room on the system just to sell that did does not satisfy any customers. We took a taxi from the airport. It's in an area close to the airport that's not surrounded by other hotels. It's frequented by large youth sports teams. Pleasant staff and soooooo clean. Walkable to small local shops and restaurants. Great value for the money

We loved it!!! So happy with our choice! It's like a hotel/ hostel. Very close to the airport. Just 10' away! $10-15 euros. Boltzmann- Uber or taxi!
The hot bar is simple and tasty. The breakfast very well self serve! I love the potato omelette ( Spanish tortilla)!! Cold cuts and sweets crosants!
The rooms were super clean and the shower were the best. Very quiet! Beds super comfy!!!

It’s an older place, but large room. Pretty good price compared to other hotel. About 10 minute walk to the subway. takes about 20 to 30 minutes to get to City center from this hotel. It’s only about 10 or 15 minute ride to the airport terminal one.

And supposed to work by sensor. We stayed here for one evening just to be close to the airport to travel home, and I feel we were not fully informed about this hostel. It was some sort of education campus? We still aren’t quite sure. Would not stay here again. Would spend more money on a regular hotel

I liked the price (affordable), staff (very kind I arrived 3 am and instead of giving my the shared room which I booked they gave me a single room so I did not disturb the other guests), close to public transport to the city centre

I did not like the breakfast. 1 option of yogurt: strawberry, croissant taste like those you are given in the hospital, coffe machine quite basic, 1-2 cereals option do not remember.

Accommodations in Barcelona are very expensive and I needed a room overnight, close to the airport.
The cab driver out of the airport had not heard of this place.
The room had four narrow bunk beds, definitely not suitable for an elderly person. AC was not functioning properly, no wifi instructions, the door to the balcony did not close, only one electrical outlet in the room and poor lighting. The walls were scuffed and in desperate need of paint. Bathroom , bare bones, no soap.
In closing, buyer be aware, you get what you pay for….room maybe suitable to a much younger crowd!

Staff was friendly and efficient, however this hotel felt more like a hostel. My wife and I (adults in our 50s) googled “nice hotels near Barcelona Airport.” This was the first “hotel” Google gave us. The online booking looked like a hotel on par with Hilton or Marriott, however this place was the definition of “minimalist!” The interior looked like what a prison would look, and the rooms had one towel, no soap or shampoo. Barely enough toilet paper. Steel sink looked like one would expect to have in a prison cell! And, finally the price of €142 would be laughable had the experience not sucked as much as it did! Avoid this place and stick with established chain hotels!

Worst night I’ve ever spent laying awake waiting for morning. After a long day and a late fight this was a horrible place to spent a night. The pictures on this website painted a waaasyyy to rosie of a picture of this dump. Air conditioning did not function as after waiting the 5 minutes as instructed and the room very warm. My repeated calls to the front desk went unanswered. I gave up and resorted to opening patio door after waiting promised five minute wait for air; only to be invaded by bugs. Decided to bare the heat and literally sweat through showering. I booked a room for two, with a bed and got two sets of bunk beds, I felt like I’d been drafted. Having spent from midnight until 5 am in this room, without sleep, it was an expensive place to take a lousy shower then lay sweating while waiting for morning. I will likely never trust Expedia again.

Great friendly check in. Closest metro was Parc Nou plus 10 min walk. I wouldnt like to walk it in the dark but was ok in daylight. Economic option for 10 minute cab ride to T1 airrport but still costs 30 Euros. Were some noisy neighbours but was fine for a place to sleep for one night for early flight out the next day.

AC wouldn't work in the room, when I went down to enquire was told is ok even though I got the receptionist up the room to check himself. Lights would trip frequently - not very helpful when you have kids along. Asked for an iron was told that's it's stolen and don't have one!! I got a single room at this hostel. It was large, the bathroom was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good, including croissants, sandwich meat, fruit, yogurt, and coffee.
It is about a 10 minute walk from the Metro, but it is really hard to push a wheeled suitcase, as the sidewalks have small square patterns embedded in them. This is a problem in many Barcelona neighbourhoods, and is not a reflection of the hostel (just a warning about the walk there).
The hostel uses recycled water in the toilets and showers, but the tap water is potable.

Although this is a hostel type accommodation, we found it brilliant. Staff were great and very helpful. Room had 4 single bunk beds in it and bathroom was very spacious. Breakfast was self service plentiful. Places to eat within a short(ish) walk. Was about 6 miles outside Barcelona and one of the routes to the hotel was blocked by roadworks which caused us satnav issues but that wasn't the hotels fault.
Only dislike was the state of the free car park. It was covered in sand with big ruts in it. We had torrential rain during the night and came down to our bikes covered in sand where the rain had bounced off the ground.
On balance we would still stay there again.

Very interesting Self sustaining foundation with hotel and school for kids, strong ecológical mentally, rooms can be a bit hot when coming in fue to energy conservation features. A bit pricey for all bunker beds rooms but it does the job for short stays.

The positives: the room was clean. Front desk check in staff were kind. The agency initiative to support vulnerable children & youth is very nice. The negatives: Very inconvenient to get too from the airport. Added about an hour + train ticket costs per person. The building entrance is also hard to find. There was no soap in the washroom to wash hands.

This place will work for a one-night stay before a morning airport flight, but it’s no frills. Also if you book a single, you’re likely to get put in a quad with bunks…just for you. Also, some reviews said that there was no air conditioning, but there is. You can’t control it, but it was a pleasant surprise in the summer. Breakfast is bare bones.

Poor Air Conditioner or No Air Conditioner at all.

Air conditioning is set to 23 Celsius and cannot be lowered, it’s hard to tell if the AC fan speed works or not. Upon arrival my room felt like a sauna even though it is set to 23c, I complained to the front desk and was told if there’s no one in the room, the AC is set to be off, therefore, it takes hours to get the temp to a pleasant level. The temp inside the room was hotter than the temp outside of the building and yards, I was told by the front desk staff that they believed that the room feels like a sauna. If management is aware of this, I do not understand how they would not fix the settings so the temp and fan of the AC unit can be adjusted accordingly to the guests taste.

From the moment we arrived at approximately 10:30 p.m., the experience was unacceptable. The hotel had an overwhelming unpleasant smell, and your front desk staff showed little urgency or concern in helping us, despite the late hour.

The room we were given was entirely misrepresented compared to what was advertised online. It was in extremely poor and unsanitary condition:

There were dirty stains all over the bathroom, making it unusable.

Blood was found on the floor, which is absolutely unacceptable and a serious health concern.

We had to keep our shoes on throughout the stay due to how dirty the room was.

More alarmingly, as a group of female guests, we felt completely unsafe. We heard someone rattling the balcony door, and were forced to move a bed in front of it for security. Throughout the night, we experienced multiple attempts of individuals knocking on and trying to open our room door. We were frightened and felt completely exposed and vulnerable.

This experience was unsanitary, unsafe, and completely misrepresented by your hotel's online description.

Taxi to hostel $21 meter $15. Alberg Centre Esplai Hostel check in at 2pm not earlier 3 nights $187,61. Lunch cafe full $14 half $7 water$1,75 beer $1,50 soda $1,50. Breakfast included. Olive oil is the bomb. Had to move rooms because the AC did not work. Private room 6 bunkbeds private restroom and shower. Shower water floods but drys but looks like a leak. Comes with pillow, thin sheet and one towel no hand towels. super marcado for body soap 2.35 shampoo 2,45 drinks beer and chips 1,50. From hostel just through the alley.
Freenow app for taxi there $25 return $28 fixed price. Fell asleep and almost missed dinner at 10pm. Breeze seems better than gigzby for wifi reception and calling. Able to use google maps navigation and call through whats app and text through apple. Meals at hostel are nothing special. Breakfast 8-10 not in cafe, Lunch starts at 130pm, dinner 8pm. Checkout 11 then doing laundry $4 euro washer $1 euro dryer. We had a big load so i needed 5 for dryer. Taking taxi to and from hostel cost us around $123.

This was a gem for one night before we flew home. Quiet, very clean and comfortable for our family. Very kind staff. Location was convenient to get to the airport and a short walk to the subway. Busy and large hostel. They have people coming and going for community events all the time. Its a large concrete building and the heat wasn't adjustable by room it was just set for the building overall and set too cold for january. Breakfast was top notch though and if you are in a large group of traveller's this place would be easy. Quite a walk to the train station but worth it to save a buck.

Finding the front door was a bit of a challenge. Check in was good(don't forget your passports). Parking was around the back (unpaved). Rooms were exactly like the photo's. Patio door on room didn't appear to lock. Loved getting our picnic bags at 3:30am for breakfast on check out. There was a group of young kids in the hostel on the same floor as us when we checked it, they were quite loud. Ear plugs helped allow us to get to sleep. Although they did settle around 9pm. The shower could be a little cleaner, all the floors are tile so walking around in bare feet wasn't comfortable. Loved the focus on the UN sustainable goals and it was super convenient for a quick arrival for early morning flight. Overall I would go back. One broken tile on the 1st floor was loud when people walked over it.

My wife and I had a 10 hour layover in Barcelona between flights. We booked a \"twin room\" expecting 2 single or twin beds. When we got to our room we discovered 2 sets of bunk beds with a wall between them. When I returned to reception I was told that this was our room, costing $180, or I could pay an additional 90 euros for a room with 2 beds. The room itself was more like a dorm room, or a prison, with all concrete walls and no warmth whatsover. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT STAY HERE!
