It did the job for one night and needing a kitchen, but otherwise a very dimly lit, worn out apartment. Particularly disappointing given the well manicured Altis Grand next door. Great location and overall clean - you can just feel it's age throughout.

Mother daughter trip to Lisbon

We stayed here bc it was next to Grand Hotel where the conference my daughter was attending was being held. We booked the suites because it was more economical and I liked having a seating area and kitchenette.
The unit was very spacious. Loved having fridge and freezer along with dishes, silverware plus a microwave and stove top for leftovers. Separate living room with table, chairs and couch. The staff was very helpful but only there during the day. After hour check in at The Grand Hotel next door. They did provide luggage storage and room service which was wonderful. They brought tea and honey around midnight to calm the tickle in my throat and allow me to sleep.
Only negatives from someone with a bum knee there is stairs to get down to the lobby and elevator to get to your room or to go up to reach street level. Also traditional European shower inside very tall bathtub.
I would recommend staying here.

No one waited for us at reception. We went to Altis hotel reception. They left me 4 hours waiting while they took in hotel clients. I litigated that they should have send somebody cleaning the room earlier as they did for hotel clients. Even when i left there was nobody at reception and hotel staff since i complaint constantly said they had nothing to do with the apartment. Very bad experience as when electricity light went off and we wanted to extend our time no one helped us. A disgrace

I liked the location, the cleanliness inside the apartment. I did not liked that when you looked on the window you would see something dirty like the ventilations and emergency staircases and a white wall, no natural light, I found that dissapointing. The furniture was very old school and there was no hanger on the hallway to deposit jackets. The location is ok but there were a loot of homeless guys around the blocks (but probably thats Lisbon all over the places).

Stayed here for 3 nights in November. Property is old, no windows in the room and staff is not friendly or helpful. Asked for more coffee pods as 2 were only provided and they advised if I wanted more then I would have to buy them. We travel all over the world and I have never been told this before.
The apartment was old not like in the pictures and is about a 20 min walk to Rossio Square. I would never stay here again.

We liked the Altis Suites apartment hotel. Great location, close to everything - excursion bus stop, ~ 1 km, to shopping, train. 1 bdr apartment has 2 beds, queen bed in the bedroom, and sofa bed in living room. Room service was everyday. Next time we will stay there.

The condition of the Altis suite is poor. Some of the kitchen cabinets are falling down. The property is not handicap friendly. The bathroom is dangerous for elderly people. There is only a bathtub so tall without a handrail. It was easily to slip and fall even with a healthy person. I travel with my older sister. I requested to change room with a walking shower. They didn't have it. Too many stairs.

The property is at the best location in the town with everything walkable and all amenities close by. The only thing I did not like was no provision of making tea and charged us 10 euros for tea dips. Even a complementary bottle of water was not there in the suit, which was again charged in the bill.

Not as good as pics showed. Spacious rooms, decently furnished but felt enclosed, smelly and airless. Only windows overlooked a dark inaccessible terrace.
Frontdesk was absent most of the time and had to go nextdoor to the sister Altis Grand hotel desk for attention. Phones were rarely answered.
Thin walls let in neighbors noise.

A great value suite in excellent location. Breakfast in hotel next door was a highlight and great value. Location also great for exploring the city on foot or public transport. Grocery store very close and open late.
Spacious suite with plenty of storage space. Furniture is a bit tired and the kitchenette could do with updating but for a short city break it gave us what we needed - a fridge, kettle and somewhere to make up packed lunch.
A great value option in a great location.

Wish we could have stayed longer and used the apartment features of the property. It certainly had all the comforts of home. It was clean, quite, easy access and staff were all very friendly. We used the restaurant, bar and shop located in the Altis Grand located next door. The location was excellent, easy walk to the center of Lisbon and to our tour arrangements. We would definetly stay here again.

The suit has three rooms and is spacious for one or two. The rooms are very clean. The two TVs are small but not a big issue.The small sofa is the sitting room is too soft and should be replaced. Bathroom is excellent except that water always comes out when taking shower.

Found the set up strange.

Room was good but didnt like the way it was set up. The suites is next door to the main hotel so you had to exit and go to the main building if you wanted to eat or to use the gym. If you used the pool you had to put on your robe and walk down the street and thru the main lobby to the elevator. Just found this strange since the hotel was in the Rodeo Drive of Lisbon.

Altos Suite is centrally located, you can walk to many sites. The service was very attentive and helpful. The room is a real suite, good size and comfortable for our group of 3 persons. They offer a free airport shuttle that has very limited service but we were able to use. We checked out on Saturday morning and the trip to airport was only 15 minutes.
Our 3rd person did not rest well on the rollaway bed. The lighting was a little dark. Breakfast was not included and would cost 18 euros per person so we skipped that. Otherwise a very good stay. We would stay again.

This hotel has a good location: it is a walking distance from the town centre, but at night the area is quiet as it is mostly offices and hotels. The service we received was excellent, every member of staff we encountered was very polite and helpful, and the suite was cleaned every day to a very high standard. The suites are very well equipped. However, they need refurbishment- the furniture is battered, with scratches and chips, the toilet seat was flimsy, the shower wasn't great, the sofa bed wasn't very comfortable. So overall good experience, but the actual suites need some work.

Really good location for walking into city or Metro links. Rooms have good facilities but are quite dated. Cleaning was exceptional. With a bit of refurbishment ie get rid of the faded sofas and fix the kitchen sliding screen, this could be a very good property.

Great location near the centre of town, near the metro and supermarket close by. The apartment was spacious, clean, very quiet and with comfortable beds. The living room and kitchen area were well equipped. The staff went out of their way to help us, and were very polite and courteous.

I had booked an accessible room for me and a friend who is in a wheelchair. When we arrived, we could not enter Altis Suites, as they had stairs down from the street to the lobby. So they moved us around the corner to the Altis Apartments, which was very nice. The neighborhood is very hilly and hard to push a wheelchair,though.The full breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly.

We stayed in the apartment suites and that had a living room area, large bedroom and big kitchenette area. A flat screen TV in 2 rooms, although could only receive CNN on the bedroom TV. Didn't matter, because we were out most of the time and when relaxing the other TV had a good selection of channels.

Mix feeling about this hotel

- spacious rooms
- amazing breakfast in the next door 5 stars hotel (same chain)
- free airport shuttle (need to book in advance)
- safe neighborhood

Con:
- impatient front desk. When we checked in, she was nice provided us with detail local information. Since the room didn't come with free Internet, we need to verify the exact restaurant address on the next day. She didn't bother to look up, just said we won't miss it and can't even tell us on which side of the street. She wrote down the restaurant name but spelled wrong on the 1st and 4th characters. Lisbon is not a safe city, that street was piled up with garbages, many homeless dug thru the garbage to find food. We walked up and down the street few times, can't find the restaurant, got scared about the neighborhood. Not a pleasant experience which was caused by an impatient reception.
- the sofa couch is filthy dirty, stains hairs garbages. Requested 2 bed sheets to cover it before we dare to sit on it. However, the bedroom linen were very clean.

The suites are located next to the Altis hotel and are a short walk to one of two metro stops (Rato or Marques de Pombal). The apartment we stayed in was clean, comfortable and spacious, offering a small kitchenette, living space, entrance hall and bedroom. The rooms are fully serviced and were cleaned every day. You also get full use of the hotel's facilities including gym and swimming pool. The staff were very friendly and efficient, being able to answer all queries and offering advice on where to go and what to see, including tips on public transport. The television in our room didn't work and after an engineer was unable to fix the problem we were immediately offered another suite, another example of their excellent service. I would highly recommend the Altis Suites as an excellent place to stay in Lisbon.

I stayed 5 nights with my wife and son from 13 oct 2013 at altis suites in Lisbon.
The location is excellent since it is close to Metros & city centre.
the buffet breakfast at the main hotel is also excellent
the staff were also excellent- very helpful and polite.
The area in my opinion they could do better is regarding facilities they provide in the apartment. Given the high amount per night, I expected complementary bottle of water and some tea/ coffee bags for the first night as it is usual with comparable apartments in international cities. sadly one had to pay extra for these basic items.

Still old, dirty and a poor gym

The suite room was probably nice in the 80's, but hasn't been updated or cleaned well since then. No glasses in cupboard...I had to ask for them. The lobby has now been updated, but the meeting areas in the mezzanine are still worn and showing it. Worst of all was a gym that doesn't even have an exercise bike. An old treadmill, universal machine, an elliptical that is useless and a recumbent bike. Again...okay for the 80's, but not now.

We (me and 2 adult children) were looking for an apartment/suite type hotel that had some hotel amenities. This was perfect. The apartment was roomy, clean, comfortable so if we wanted to just hang out, we had a living room and didn't have to have someone sit on a bed. The hotel staff was very friendly and always helpful when asked. Next door is the regular Hotel Altis, more glitzy, so we had access to their beautiful pool, gym, cafe, restaurant and room service. We had 2 suites, mine had a larger kitchen, my kids had a beautiful terrace with table and chairs. We saw a number of families with young children and this would be a perfect place for them. We had separate bedroom and living room with convertible couch. So it afforded privacy if one of us wanted to go to bed early and the other 2 wanted to stay up. Would absolutely return to Altis Suites.

I stayed at the Altis Suites and got 2 suites one for me and one for my adult son and daughter. Each apartment had a separate living room with dining table and 4 chairs and separate bedroom., and a kitchen. You can get a single bed or twin beds in the bedroom and the couch opens up as a full bed as well. Each room had doors so that there is privacy. My kids kitchen was smaller than mine but their suite had a large terrace with a table and chairs which was wonderful. Most apartment places don't have many amenities, but since the the Regular Altis hotel which is pretty upscale is next door you have use of their room service, nice pool, gym and they have a cafe and restaurants. You can use Wifi in their large lobby. In our rooms there was internet by cable. It fit our needs great. At night we could relax in the living room, bring in our own snacks or sodas and nobody had to sit on a bed. There are TV's in both living room and bedroom. Perfect mix of space, privacy, and amenities if we needed or wanted them. Staff was really great and helped whenever they could. Our rooms were initially on different floors and after the first day they moved my kids to the suite directly across from my room. But we didn't move a thing, while we were out sight-seeing, they moved everything to the new room. There were families with little children who seemed to be comfortable as well. I would recommend this. Great mix between apartment/suite setting and hotel.

Clean, modern hotel in a convenient location. Amazing breakfast buffet. Only complaint - we booked a room for 3 people, and we got a double bed and a pull-out sofa bed. The sofa bed was unbelievably hard and uncomfortable - I asked the front desk for an extra mattress and they ofered to bring another bed into the room. Much better - just wished they had done that before we arrived, since the reservation was for 3 people.

We actually got an upgrade from Altis Suites to Altis Prime as our arrival coincided with problems over water supply at the Suites. We were delighted as the Prime was palatial so perhaps not appropriate to comment on Suites.

Very nice hotel. Wireless Internet was absolutely awful, I was constantly having to get new Internet codes and it was painstakingly, annoyingly slow. If you are going for business and have work to do, good luck. The room service and breakfast were ridiculously expensive, but a very good breakfast nonetheless. When I inquired about more affordable and early opening establishments to get breakfast I was told there was only the hotel breakfast which was completely unhelpful and a lie. Other than that it was clean, spacious, hard bed, but nice all the same. There are many other Altis hotels in the lisbon area including next door to Altis suites and I would recommend staying at one of those rather than the suites. Great location right next to Liberdade avenue which is very nice.

Everything exceeded expectations

Very spacious room, great location, helpful staff. Awesome price. Very happy with my stay. If you are going to Portugal, this is an awesome hotel, seperate rooms, kitchen area. Within a 15 minute walk from the main downtown area. Clean room. Just wonderful experience.

Planty of room and cozy, well situated.

Hotel is well centered, there are always taxis on the front door.
Room service is expensive, generally food is good.
There are TVs in the room and the leaving room, kitchen area is big.
Rooms are very comfortable for traveling with kids and small children, due to the big space and the sofa that opens to a bed.

Altis Suites Hotel - Nice Place for a Family

Altis Suites Hotel was very convenient and the staff very friendly. As a Suites hotel, it was very spacious. The rooms were a bit dusty and for some reason we couldn't use the lamps in the bedroom making it very dark.

The pool next door was fabulous.
