It is beautiful and super clean hotel, the rooms are spacious and always smell wonderful. In the breakfast there is an amazing selection of exotic colourful fruits that are always fresh. The best thing in the hotel in my opinion is the service. The workers are always smiling and do their best to make you feel welcome and happy. We came back to the hotel 3 times and will be back every time we are in lidbon

The hotel was very clean and the room was well outfitted. The front desk concierge where not as helpful or informative. It would be nice if they welcomed you on your entry to the hotel, or had a list of restaurant recommendations, or services offered. There is a lot of opportunity here. Coming from a service background, the concierge service needs to be elevated and looked at. The basic offerings of a concierge where not presented here aside from a decent check in. They also should make an effort to introduce themselves or ask if they can aid in reservations or tour activities.

Ok firstly I’d like to start by saying Lisbon is a must visit. And if I returned I would more than likely stay at Browns Avenue Hotel.
The location is convenient and you are close but far enough away from the main area.

The hotel is great, and the rooftop plunge pool area is worth every penny you pay.
Having a glass of wine on the rooftop to cool down from a day of sightseeing whilst dipping your toes in the pool is the best thing about this hotel.

Staff were great and answered all my queries and questions and were very nice.

My room was fine. Beds are great, bathrooms fab. The USB ports on my husbands side of the bed did not work, but we had travel plugs so didn’t really bother us. More just takes the complete shine off.

Although they advertise as a 5*, there are little things missing which would make the hotel perfection.
No robes plus the slippers provided were disposable rubbish ones.
A robe and slippers were needed walking to and from the rooftop.
Also there are tea/coffee making facilities but no little edible treat….small things but they are claiming to be 5*.

Also we most days would bring home a drink with us….its a nice touch having a mini Smeg fridge but you can’t fit anything of your own in it.

The honesty bar on the rooftop was great. Lots of selection of drinks.
Lovely to see everyone being so honest too - shows the level of clientele they have in the hotel!

Overall the trip was a success and the hotel was great. Not quite perfection but great.

Shame major works were going on right outside the hotel so there was some noise. In the rooms there is a Marshall music speaker - not sure it’s a great idea unless you have very considerate neighbours. We had to go down to reception twice after midnight as the music was so loud from the room next door we could tell what song they were playing in our room!

Good location, pool a definite bonus and breakfast was good too. The honesty bar was a nice touch too.

Luckily we got an upgrade and the room was spacious and very clean. The pool area was too small to enjoy and not very appealing. The dining area and outdoor seating is in the basement and dark, better in the evenings. We stayed 4 nights and didn’t have breakfast because it was €25 each in a dark dining room, only looked attractive at night.
Yellow plastic Wet Floor caution signs were everywhere all the time we were there, Health&Safety gone to another level, they looked dreadful.
Great location for the centre but the hotel does not look very attractive from outside due to the building work in process next door. Overall this is a great hotel for location and cleanliness sadly we were not over impressed by the reception staff.

Lovely chic Lisbon hotel

Loved Brown’s. Really great service and all public spaces were relaxing and stylish. The rooftop pool is such a fun departure for the city. We really enjoyed this hotel.

Dinner service - ordered drinks with dinner, they never came. Finished our food and asked for the check. Drinks were included in the bill even though they were never made. The hotel gives free drink cards at check in. We let the waiter know we had them - maybe there was confusion about how to submit them in the system. Just kind of annoying.

The property is at a very good central location. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. I especially liked the bathroom and its large walk-in shower. However it had zero outlook or sunshine as its big bay windows overlooked a small internal courtyard and other rooms across.

There was very significant construction surrounding the property on both sides- huge cranes with boarded up area surrounding building - noisy - barely found the location due to the limited visibility. Pool is tiny and freezing -rooms are tiny - hotel should notify customers of construction - not good business model.
Bar is good, library is great, restaurant good -

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Browns Avenue Hotel as part of a longer anniversary trip in Portugal. The amenities and location were top-notch, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the food and beverages were delicious. But the service was the highlight - every single staff member was friendly and kind. When my husband became ill on our second night, staff members went out of their way to offer him extra water, bananas, etc. This level of service and hospitality really made the difference. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely boutique hotel in an excellent location. Some of the furniture suffered from wear. Front desk staff excellent but some others needed more training. Had a problem in the restaurant at dinner. Breakfast starts at 7:30 so if you are touring early don’t pay for breakfast. There is currently construction next door. Not a problem for us as it was a holiday. They should get rid of bathtub in suite - takes up all the room. Good design and nice staff.

I was on a solo trip and Brown’s was the perfect hotel for me in a central location. Staff are wonderful. Nothing is a problem. They are very friendly and helpful. My bedroom was beautifully appointed and the hotel is next door to a fabulous restaurant called Honest Greens. As a solo female traveller it is great to find a great restaurant close by. I plan to return to Lisbon and this would be my hotel of choice. Thank you to all staff at Browns.

The staff was extremely helpful and professional. My room and dining experience was extremely high-end luxe. Had a fantastic meal in the gorgeous restaurant. There was loud construction next to the building but that's life and going to happen. My room had so many thoughtful touches. The bed and sheets were soft. Rooftop was cute but since it was a cold season, I didn't stay up there or use that. Great location to shopping and other restaurants. Loved all the art books!

Great boutique hotel. As you walk in you are greeted with a friendly professional reception, a selection of flavoured waters which is cool, calm and fragrant. The hotel is new, has a lovely, modern vibe. Breakfast was great, a relaxed feel with a selection of hot and cold food. Coffee was really good, and freshly made to order.
The roof top is small, but has a honesty bar, fresh complementary water, beds, towels and a lovely small pool. A really nice way to start or end your day relaxing by the pool with a book!

We had a superior room which was quiet, clean, and though not the largest, was comfortable and relaxing with great amenities.

Overall we all loved this hotel and would definitely recommend it for a weekend break with friends or as a couple.

The hotel is pleasing but not a 5 stars. With no communal areas other than a library and a restaurant and courtyard, it does not reflect a 5 stars. Rooms are nice but no bathtub. Far too strong perfumes used in the reception and library. Recommend to replace with something more subtle. Have not seen the pool area.

Great location/modern rooms but smoke was an issue

The hotel itself is great - new, modern property. Good location only a few minutes walk from Avenida da Liberdade, with restaurants in walking distance. Staff was nice and helpful. Room (junior suite) was spacious and well-appointed, with the exception of the bizarrely positioned claw foot tub smack in the middle of the room. My only real complaint is that for 2 out of the 4 days of my stay, there was a horrible smell of cigar smoke all through my hallway and entering my room. I raised it with the front desk, who confirmed that the hotel was non smoking but told me that a guest was smoking cigars in the outdoor terrace, which must have seeped in through open windows. They said that they’d look into it, but after getting better for a day, it came back - apparently the cigar-smoking guest returned, and nothing was done to minimize the smoke in the halls/rooms. This caused major issues for my asthma/allergies, and absolutely nothing was done about it. Very disappointing.

First, the staff are so warm, welcoming, and professional. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with modern decor. Our junior suite was very comfortable with lots of natural light, luxurious bathtub, and well-appointed bathroom with shower. The location is perfect, so close to many Portuguese restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Many luxury brand stores are just a block away. We Highly recommend Brown’s Avenue, and will definitely return in the future.

Pleasant place to stay in Lisbon

Very pleasant stay, great location for shopping and walking into the centre of town, great staff. Book your own taxis, hotel taxi is €40 to airport whereas it costs €8 with Uber. Breakfast is ok, better to order rather than use the buffet.

It doesn't seem like a real 5 star hotel - more like 4 stars. Service at breakfast did not happen so I left, staff was even rude, the breakfast room was also very cold, not inviting. The windows in the room were dirty. Nothing outstanding, no idea how they got their 5 stars!

We loved staying at this hotel, there are so many little touches that make it feel really special. The staff are absolutely fantastic and go out of their way to go over and above. Probably the best hotel staff team I have come across.

Our room was very clean, comfortable and had everything and more that we needed for a great stay. The pool was especially nice and the honesty bar a nice touch. We enjoyed the library too, which is a lovely additional space.

The location is perfect: not too close to the loudness of the city but easily walkable to everything within 10 minutes and right next to a metro. It felt like a very safe part of town.
