We had two nights booked. When we got there, the sheets on the bed were stained. The bathtub was also stained and looked dirty. We went down to the front desk to ask for another room and they stated there wasn’t any available. I could see on my phone that I was able to book for that night if I wanted to. Meaning rooms were available.
Asked for a refund. Said they couldn’t do that on short notice. Settled with another set of sheets that were also stained.
At Breakfast some of the machines were out of order (ex. Coffee/tea)
Overall just felt grossed out by everything and the lack of effort from employees to try to fix anything.
Would never stay again!

This hotel was just OK. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Looked like they had been renovated recently with new carpet, tile and furniture. But the tub had not been switched out, so it was old and stained. But the price was great and we will probably stay here again! It is the halfway point for our trips to Boston, and downtown Carlisle was so cute and easy to get to.

I checked in online but still had to go to the desk when I got there to get my room key. There were 4 people checking-in in front of me. Each check in took over 5 minutes. I stood there for over 30 minutes waiting to check-in. Then we got our room key and went to our room. It was dirty. Clearly never wiped down. The bathroom counter had hairs on it as well as water rings from the previous persons stay. The breakfast was sparse. They did not refill anything. Breakfast was 6-9. We arrived at 7:45 and it was cleared out. 1 muffin, no mix for waffles, no coffee. We asked for coffee and were told that the machine is now broken. Terrible. After breakfast we asked the pool hours so we could go there. It was closed, indefinitely. When we packed up to leave we double checked before we left and found a pair of UNDERWEAR in the corner, not ours. GAG! Do better Best Western South.

What a dump! Room smelled musty with black mold around the tub and on the wall in the bathroom. Swimming pool was green on the first weekend in June. Trash scattered around the parking lot.The dog potty station was overflowing with used bags. Overall not a pleasant place.

The property was run down. The grass was long. The pool was closed and empty. The pet clean up station was over flowing with full bags and falling over. There was a trash can by the rear entrance that was over flowing and people just started putting trash next to it. It wasn’t touched for three days. The room was sub par. The bathroom door had holes in it. The motion light switch for the main entry light was annoying and the cover was broken so the inside was exposed. The walls to the side of the beds were dirty and had holes in them. They never told us during check in that if we wanted the room cleaned to put the sign on the door. When we did put up the sign all they did was take the dirty towels and empty the trash. The bed spread had holes in it.

Nice property,though the entry and exit was a bit tight to get around. The front desk staff were nice and helpful. Clean rooms, nicely done. The bathroom was dated and the tub had black mold around the edges. A/C worked good. Outside was nice but a fair amount of trash and a number of the A/C unit covers were hanging off. Breakfast was a complete joke. I witnessed and was a victim of the Cold eggs, I mean ICE cold eggs. the person taking care of it was notified, she just said sorry and walked away! Wasnt even going to bother going back for breakfast.

When we got to the room, it had been 85 degrees all day and the air in the room was off. It took nearly 24 hours for it to finally cool the room down. The first night was nearly unbearable.

The bathtub was filthy, missing the plunger cover and drain cover.

Two of the outlets in the room didn't work.

With the heat, we were excited at the opportunity of a pool to come back to. Nope. Empty and dirty. No notes on reservations about the pool being out of commission

The photos of the lobby are without a doubt the nicest catfish scenario for checking into a hotel. The rooms in no way resemble the condition of the actual rooms.

When we come back to the area, we will find a different place to stay.

Booked this hotel for a car event and chose this one for the fact it had a pool. When we arrived we noticed there was a pool but there was no water in the pool. When we got to our room I tried to put the tv on after a 7 hour drive and the TV wouldn’t work. I tried everything I could to restart the cable box with no luck. I went to call the front desk and noticed the phone in the room also didn’t work. I called down on my personal phone to ask for some help with the tv they said they would get back to me and never heard anything. The next day we asked for a new cable box or for someone to come look at it, they looked at it said they would be back to fix the issue and never came back. The next morning the shower was cold and the shower door was broken. I’m not one to complain but for the price it was frustrating. It was decently clean and provided a roof over our head for a few days.

This property is nothing as described or shown.. some of the rooms have been remodeled and updated others haven’t. The ones that haven’t been updated are musty with plaster falling off and paint chipping. The pool was brown and not even functioning….very disappointing. Will not be staying here again

It was a little difficult to get trailer around parking lot. If you have a trailer or large truck it can be challenging. There are too many narrow curves and parking curbs. The ice machine seemed to be empty most of time. The breakfast was OK, nothing fancy, powdered eggs, sausage links, cereal, the omelettes were put in container cold or partially frozen and had to be put in microwave. They only have one waffle maker, so there is always someone waiting to use it and the timer was working on the machine. The room was clean, comfortable.

Clean place, nice staff, comfy bed. But, I was on the first floor with my window facing the parking lot and the drapes didn't close. Only the sheer white one. I looked at the track that the drapes are on and it didn't go the whole way across the window. That was kind of creepy.

First room we were put in had a really strong perfume smell right inside the room and a strong smell of stale smoke in the bathroom. It was awful and there was no other available rooms. We inquired in the morning at the front desk and the guy working said he would have to talk to the manager when they came in. I heard nothing. Arrived back to hotel after a wet long day outside and had to ask again. We were able to switch rooms . It shouldn’t have been a question about having to ask the manager, the room was not acceptable. The breakfast was barely stocked and no employee around to help. The hot water was like warm, the scrambled eggs were very runny, only a couple

Our room was... Okay at best. Found another person's underwear behind a stool, shower curtain was stained and the shower itself looked grungy, outlets were falling out of the wall or couldn't hold a phone charger. Walls were paper thin, could hear the room next door clearing their throat. We come down to this area from NH once a year, and we wont stay here again.

Property and room were very clean. We did not like the seperate wash basin from the bath and toilet area, reducing the counter space for 2 persons.
Perhaps, we had a smaller room? The King bed was comfortable. To ensure a quiet room, we asked for a room away from the highway, and on 2nd floor since dogs are allowed on the first floor. Why we rated only \"good\" is because the bottom of the shower curtain was stained (should be replaced) and the bathtub was worn and looked dirty.
A plus was the included continental breakfast which offered a variety of items
All in all, a comfortable overnight stay.

My stay started with a room next to the laundry. I could hear workers talking. I asked to be moved to another room and told none was available and they would call me when a room was clean. I never received a call. You could hear people coming and going at all hours of the night. An alarm of some sort woke me up at 6 am after no sleep from the noise. The photos online are deceiving. The bathroom is disgusting and not updated. The outside of the property is no better. Weeds and trash. Will not stay here again

It was all good , except a fire door on left side of building, facing it. Was always being pushed open a little to let anybody in. Which means security was low. Right beside door,a sign said, KEEP FIRE DOOR CLOSED. but every time I went by it, it was pushed open a little bit. And I would slam it SHUT. I'm thinking, workers, letting someone in to swim or free room. Needs to be checked so door stay SHUT.
Anyone stays here, and go by a fire door, shut it tight for more security.

The staff was professional and friendly at check in. The bathroom has mold spots on the walls and ceiling. Certain areas in the common area have bug splatter on the walls. I loved that the mattress was encased! That’s huge considering the easy spread of bugs when mattresses do not receive preventative measures. Although, it was not the most comfortable mattress to sleep on. The shampoo and conditioner were crappy and cheap. The body soap left our skin feeling really dry and sticky. I would highly suggest an upgrade. The room smelled great and was clean when we arrived. WiFi and tv worked. No issues with keycards. Cleanliness of the entrance to the hotel itself was clean and look good as well. But the rooms definitely needs some extra attention and additional renovations/ upgrades

I checked in, took all my bags to my room. IMMEDIATELY I noticed the room smelled awful, I looked past it and moved on. I then noticed the tub had grey sludge in it around the drain??? Once again....moved on. Finally I noticed my one night Stand was completely broken and replaced with a foot rest? At this point I called the front desk politely explaining the situation and requesting a new room..my room was changed to a room where the only improvement was I had two nightstands . The room still smelled awful and the shower was stained brown INCLUDING stains on the shower curtain. In addition to being wildly uncomfortable my entire stay given the condition of both rooms give ...my key stopped working half way through my trip so I had to walk through the rain to the front desk and get a replacement.

It has been recently updated and by that I mean they polished a turd, much like a lot of the other Best Westerns. I think it might just be a Pennsylvania thing though as the whole state is pretty outdated. Was everything functional, yes, and I think they mean well but it’s no Holiday inn. They all smell like curry.

Not a great place. But doable in a pinch.

He checked in late (10:15). Receptionist was on the couch and was interrupted. Checked in, she gave me 1 key, no instructions on parking. Turns out parking is 95% in the rear of the building. I gave the key to the family helped offload luggage then went to park the car. Drove around the building found a spot on the rear and discovered you need a key to enter. It’s about 50 feet from the reception I knocked but she wouldn’t come. I had to call my daughter to come and slip the key through the door crack to open the door from the outside otherwise it is a few hundred yards to walk around back to the front door. The room, mostly clean a few hairs in the bathroom but no shower curtain. I assume it was by design. There was a lot of water that soaked. We used a lot of towels trying g to dry the floors. Not a great place. But doable in a pinch.

Was not at all impressed of the dirty room as well as the dated tub. Mold was present.Dead roaches were just laying in corners of the room. I guess cleaniness is not a priority here. Maybe they spray for bugs but forget to clean up... The worst part was I paid nearly double for the room as the auto show was taking place that weekend.Will never stay here again. Time to update if they expect to get these prices...

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Everything was very clean in our room and the property felt very safe. My only complaint is that for the price point, the towels felt very old and scratchy and rough. They should replace towels and get new ones.
