Do not stay here! It's a dump. Run down, reeking of cigarettes, the windows open, trash is just outside the doors. We only stayed a couple of hours, after some other guest creeped us out by peeking at us around the corner of the hallway. And the woman next door repeatedly slamming the door for seemingly no reason. I did NOT feel safe there.

I literally walked into this hotel and to my room turned around and walked out. I went next door to the Holiday Inn and it was about a million percent better. This hotel reeked so bad of marijuana that I couldn't even be in there. I almost got an instant headache. It was twice as expensive for the Holiday Inn and 10 times worth it.

Hotel room had some darkness to it. The entire hotel smelled like cigarettes thankfully, the hotel room did not smell like cigarettes. I could tell it was a sketchy place as soon as I showed up and if my booking did not say no refunds, I would have took my money back and spent 40 more dollars on a better hotel. The room that we got was absolutely not the room that was advertised. The walls had wood paneling and there was maybe one photo on the wall. The door barely locked and there was three pillows. We purchased a king size bed and it was definitely not a king size bed at all. Overall the experience was not great. Upon arrival there was police and EMT there. As we were leaving there was a lady climbing out of the laundry room window with a bunch of laundry in garbage bags. I contacted Expedia for a refund and got nowhere. Do not book this room.

Economical choice for a road trip. I booked because they advertised a free shuttle to Union Station, but at check in, we were told they haven't had the shuttle in 3 years. We booked a non-smoking room, and it smelled like marijuana was coming in through the bathroom vent. We had to keep the bathroom door closed, and it got a little better. The outside door we entered did not close and anyone could walk in. Other than that, it was clean, staff was courteous and it was a reasonably quiet place in an ok (convenient) neighborhood. Fortunately we were able to find free parking downtown so the shuttle was not an issue.

You walk in and a whiff of cigarettes will just hit you in the face, the rooms were neat but as for cleanliness I’m not so sure the carpets look like they are in long over due of replacements, their bathrooms had spider webs in them, the walls either had holes or stains, the extra chair in the room was broken, they have no kind of amenities whatsoever other than free coffee but even than you have to travel to California and back for just a cup. Staff will come knocking on your door before 11am to remind you of check out. These guys do not play around when it comes down to their prices (overly priced in my opinion for the condition of their rooms, and limited to no amenities) nor their check out time.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR SAFETY! I’m not from Kansas City and was unfamiliar with the area. I booked this on Expedia because it was close to the venue we were attending and it had decent reviews. I would bet my next paycheck that employees are leaving fake reviews! I pulled up and went inside to check in. The employees are behind bulletproof glass. First thing I noticed was the smell. Smelled of cigarette smoke and sewage. (I’m a smoker so it didn’t bother me but since when can you smoke in a hotel???) not to mention I had my kids with me, yes they're 18 but still don’t want them around that. Got the keycards and pulled around to where our rooms were. Observed people hanging out the 2nd floor windows, broken windows and a police officer standing next to a truck that appeared to have their windows shot out. ( I thought hotel windows didn’t open??) I don’t usually just a book by its cover but it was clear the people standing around were junkies. I immediately went back in and gave them the cards and told them we can’t stay here. We never even stepped foot in the room. They’re refusing to give me a refund, repeatedly claiming there is no manager on duty and refusing to even give a managers name. I would be ok with a cancellation fee but I’m now out $400! I’m a single mom and that’s a lot of money to me, not to mention I had to spend $400 elsewhere. Not only is this place physically disgusting but so is the behavior of their staff by robbing me!

The rudest people at the front desk I have ever encountered in a hotel. Despite having do not disturb on the doorknob they came in anyway. A chair only had three legs, big filthy stains all over the carpet, no towel racks in the bathroom, no hand towels in the hotel, a lamp with nowhere to plug it in just sitting on the side table, something that looks like a smeared booger on the wall which anybody could have removed was really gross. The overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke throughout the hallways and seeping under the cracks of the non-smoking rooms was horrible. Even the thin scratchy towels and wash rags had a smell of smoke on them, as did any item we had in the room. Thread bare holes in the curtains.

Some coworkers and I was returning to KC from a business trip. There was a Chiefs Game and Nascar race going on, open rooms were very hard to come by. We had limited options for rooms this late at night. We showed up to check in approx 10pm. There were 3 cop cars in the parking lot with two individuals being handcuffed and sitting on the curb.
Entering the front lobby, the place reeked of pot. Looking down the halls from the front desk, there was a haze of smoke along with very dim lighting. The front desk has 1" thick bullet proof glass between the desk clerk and the lobby. An armed security guard was stationed in the front lobby. We immediately turned around and walked out and forfeited our room fees.

The whole place smells like weed and cigarettes. Walls are thin so you can hear everyone around you. People at the front desk seemed annoyed that they had to actually come to the desk to check me in. There was a burned cigarette in the peep hole of the room door. Pictures arent really the nicest but it was cheap so i wasnt expecting much to begin with but but pics are still 1000 times nicer/cleaner than what it really is in person

The service at the desk was great ! Very friendly and nice. The room was okay. The room didn’t seem to get cleaned the best, stains on floor, furniture was old. There was clearly people living there so there was a lot of late night noises and kids running everywhere. Was okay for a night .

This property should not be in your list of hotels. It is a 1/2 way house. The building has chain smokers and ash trays in the room but the building says non smoking. Carpet ripped in many places. Bed dirty many paint holes in the walls Took hours before the smoke smell left us. Wouldn’t stay there if you paid me.
