Not worth the money you pay….

While the place is very cute, there were many odd things about it. First and foremost, there is NO AC in the room. Room description also advertised a bathrobe and desk and those were not provided either. I had to sleep with two fans and one window open (the other two did not have screens). That night, I went to get a drink at the coffee bar and the common area was very dark and could not find a light switch anywhere. I was told by other guests that the back staircase outside had a broken step and there was no warning. The walls are very thin. At breakfast, you didn’t get a choice they just gave you what they wanted. I’ve been to several bed and breakfasts and one I go every year with my family and to say the breakfast was small is an understatement. I had a slice of quiche, two triangle pita breads, and a sticky bun. Meanwhile, the couple beside me got a completely different breakfast. I don’t like quiche but it was better than nothing but I would’ve liked a choice. Staff was friendly but odd. I was asked if my mother was joining for breakfast and I said no she just dropped me off because I don’t have a car. I mean what kind of staff doesn’t know who’s staying at their establishment? Lastly, while I am not completely handicapped with a wheelchair or crutches, I do have sciatica. There were no handicapped spots, ramps, and as far as I could tell all rooms were on the second floor. I can’t see how anyone in a wheelchair could stay here since it is not ADA accessible.

This lovely gem was the perfect pick for the two of us on our cross country trip. Tired of cookie cutter hotels? Try this place. It’s not too far from Hershey and the country setting was peaceful. Our room was nicely decorated and everything was in tip top condition. We enjoyed our walk around the property with its beautiful gardens and koi pond. In the evening the scent of baking was comforting and the morning’s breakfast offered freshly baked treats as well as a hot meal. We were even asked about dietary restrictions! Did I mention it is pet friendly? The inn has a facility room for events as well. Highly recommended!

Although this property is just as pretty on the outside as it looks in the pictures, the inside is another story. The lobby/atrium area is nicely decorated, but there is a stale smell. Our room was furnished with a worn industrial carpet, bed, dresser, desk, one plastic folding chair and one small metal framed papasan type chair. The walls are very thin--I could hear every sound coming from the next door room and bathroom. The window shades were dingy and gray. But what was most problematic about this inn was its staff. They are unfriendly and very rigid about their rules. I needed to ask for a simple cup of tea to bring to my room at breakfast time. I was told I needed to come to the dining room, sit down at the table and ask for my tea to be served to me from the kitchen. I could not see the tea selection, or fix the tea myself. When I continued to state my wish, I was marched to the door of the kitchen and my request was grimly reported to the proprietor, who resentfully produced my cup of tea, as though it was an extreme imposition on her time. As I stood meekly waiting near the kitchen door, she started yelling angrily at her young children. I don't think I have ever encountered an atmosphere this unpleasant in a bed and breakfast.

One thing I can say — this woman is probably the best breakfast cook EVER. This isn’t a fancy place, the room was a little lackluster, but the area was beautiful, their kids were adorable, we had GREAT company along with our phenomenal breakfasts. Any set backs were compensated for.

This is a good place to stay for Hershey attractions. Great breakfasts, friendly hostess. It wasn't my favorite mattress, but we slept well. Everything was very clean. I had a small complaint that the coffee maker wasn't always ready. But overall, definitely a place I would stay at again.

Our Berry Valentines Weekend

The Berry Patch was a modern historic step away from the everyday.

Our check-in was seamless. Karen was always available, and provided lots of little extras at no additional cost. When we arrived as a late check-in, we found complimentary red velvet cup cakes waiting for us under a glass dome in our room.... they were delicious. Our room was just as we were told, and was a lovely weekend escape.

Breakfast every morning included a main dish and desert. Each dish was different and equally delicious. Karen was very helpful in finding other things to do off the property. Within 5 to 20 min drive there are vineyards, restaurants, antique shops, and much more, to do.

We look forward to staying here again.

Berry Patch Bed and Breakfast - July 22, 2018

We arrived at the Berry Patch Bed and Breakfast on July 22, 2018 on a very rainy afternoon. It is a quaint Inn with each room unique in it's decor. We stayed in the Whitetail room with a rustic deer themed decor. The owners, Bonni and Charles were welcoming and kind. Our room was spacious and clean with the most amazing bed! After a great night's sleep, we went up to the kitchen and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast of homemade waffles topped with Bunni's special white sauce and topped with sweet strawberries, blueberries and fresh whipped cream and a side of ham. Bunni shared a few jars of her own Berry Patch barbecue sauce and honey mustard which are also delicious! If we are ever in Lebanon again, we will definitely stay at the Berry Patch Bed and Breakfast!

Quite relaxing get away

Spent almost a week here while we explored the many places to see in the Lebanon Valley. LOTS of great restaurants/diners close by. Close to Gettysburg, Hershey, and Harrisburg. Nice to go out and explore and have a relaxing place to go back to. Very quite in the country, peek your head out a sunset and see if you can find a firefly! Had a wonderful time here ! ! !

The room was very pink and the shower controls made the water extremely hot, or freezing cold. The Breakfast left a lot to be desired, especially for the price of a two night stay. The owners were quite pleasant, and rather helpful with suggestions, but overall, it was only an ok experience.

So disappointed! Four rooms were booked in March 2017 and now cancelled because someone else wanted to extend their stay. Out of town wedding guests were scrambling for new reservations on a holiday weekend. Who does that 10 days before the reservation. My entire Lebanon family will never recommend this place again.

Wonderful place to relax

We wanted to get away to relax and this proved to be the perfect place. Each morning I had tea by the pond, with a beautiful view as a backdrop. Having a Jacuzzi

in the room gave that extra bit of relaxation that I haven't found at other B&Bs. We will definitely return for another stay.

Lovely time, gorgeous property

We had a really nice stay at Berry Patch. Bunny and Barb were friendly and helpful about recommending area attractions. We fell in love with the property and all the animals. The snacks and drinks were a nice addition after we came home and wanted to enjoy a nice cup of tea before bed. The bedroom was spacious and the sheets were so soft and comfy. The only downside to our stay was a clock that chimes with some kind of strange sound every hour, which woke us up a couple times throughout the night. Breakfast was huge and filling, and we got to share our table with Rusty, the adorable chocolate lab who used to be a seeing-eye dog! What a cutie. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area and will tell our friends and family about Berry Patch.

Amazing Stay

This bed and breakfast is amazing. My daughter and I came from Florida to stay with my husband while he is working there. We stayed in one of the cabins and it was perfect. It had a kitchen and we were able to cook as a family every night. The entire place was very clean and the grounds were perfect. Loved walking around and looking at all the flowers. We sat outside by the goldfish pond and my daughter got to feed the animals. I was able to get a tour of the entire inside of the lodge and every room is decorated so nice and so clean and inviting. I would not stay anywhere else when visiting. Bunny and Charles are the nicest people. They treat you like family, not like quests. So if you are looking for an amazing place to stay, this would be the place to come. If I were able to rate more than 5 stars I would.

First time at a bed and breakfast. Just a quick overnight while going to a concert in Hershey. Very nice place, get a feel for the local atmosphere and community by staying in a nearby town. AWESOME PLACE!!!!!

I stayed a the Bed and Breakfast while moving to the area and and getting settled in my new job at the Hershey Medical Center, Bunny and Charlie were so nice to me and such wonderful people. The rooms were very clean and very nice. The food was excellent and Bunny was a very funny lady with great hospitality. I have enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this to anyone coming to this area.

Just like home!

Bunny is the quintessential hostess and her inn is impeccably clean and welcoming. I always stay with her while in the area and recommend her inn to anyone visiting the area, or even not so close as the drive to the Berry Patch is worth it!

Great Escape

Bunny was great! It really was a great way to escape and have some time away. Breakfast was very creative (if not a little on the heavy side...) and the hospitality really was outstanding. It was a bit out in the middle of nowhere, but there was a great little Italian restaurant that was close by. The place was decorated for Christmas and was extremely festive. Apparently she starts decorating quite early. A great little place to stay a night or two on your way somewhere or just for a break!

We recently stayed here for our honeymoon. It was my first B&B experience. I was made to feel at home the moment I walked into Bunny's door! She had decorated for Christmas and the place was amazing!! Her breakfasts are the best I've ever had! Veterans Day Stay

Thanks so much to Bunny for opening up Berry Patch for a Veterans Day getaway for my husband and I. It was our first experience at a BnB and we are so glad we chose Berry Patch. The accomadations were cozy, tidy and nicely decorated. The Christmas decorations were fabulous. The breakfast of french Toast was delicious. Bunny was charming and a superb hostess. Great stay!!!

We attended the PA renaissance fair, and most B&B?s and hotels were booked. The Berry Patch was a really nice find, and the owner was very pleasant and really made my daughter, wife and I feel welcomed. My wife and daughter loved the numerous animals that the owner has rescued, so this was an additional treat. We would definitely stay here again.

A little dissapointed

We went to this B&B with high expectations because of the reviews and we were quite disappointed. The room itself was nice but when I go to a bed and breakfast I expect a little more than just a nice room.

When we got there we paid for our room right away which was different than what we are used to but it was no big deal. We weren't shown around the house and they took us straight to our room so we didn't feel very welcomed. In my opinion the house was a mess. It looked like every holiday of the year threw up in the breakfast room and throughout the house. There were Santa night lights, nutcracker figures everywhere, Christmas wreath above the fireplace etc.

We were told that they just reopened because of the flood warnings they had and were restoring a lot of things but nobody informed us of this which took away from our relaxing experience. The outside was a disaster. We had rocking chairs by our room but they had spiderwebs everywhere, weeds growing out of every corner, cracked tiles, etc. It definitely made us NOT want to spend any time outside.

Every day breakfast left us with more to be desired. First day we had 2 toasts, 1 hash brown pattie and 1 sausage pattie all out of a box. Day 2 we had eggs with salsa which smelled like pizza. Day 3 is when we were really disappointed because all we got was 2 white bread french toast and 3 pieces of bacon. Thats it! We had to stop somewhere on our way home to eat again because my husband and I were both starving.

I likely will not recommend this place to anyone or ever want to come back. If they were having issues after a hurricane they should have stayed closed until they cleaned up because I will not always remember the mess. This place wasn't horrible but I have been to much much better.

what a lovely place!

what a lovely place! this was a trip into the heart of pennsylvania with my adult daughters. it was their first time to a bed/breakfast type of lodging. the overall scenary of the countryside was spectacular, as was the decor. such attention to detail created elegance. my girls took hundreds of pictures, as they bonded to the artifacts and angels, as well as to the many friendly animals: the cats outside, the horse, goat, and they loved the visit from the dog. breakfast was a little early for my twenty year olds, served at 8:30 am, but it was delicious, hot, and abundant. well worth waking up for! we stayed in the ciara carol room, which was comfortable and spacious enough for all three of us. the water is very soft, the water pressure a little weak for thorough rinsing of shampoo bubbles from long hair, but there was plenty of hot water. in regards to location, the ride to hershey was about twenty miles, which took about forty-five minutes. the ride was not harrowing; it was easy and direct. overall, this was a lovely place, a great stay with comfortable and calm surroundings, and warm, caring hospitality. we would definately come here again.

what a wonderful and relaxing stay

This was our second time here for our anniversary. The host and her husband are always amazing and treat us very well with hospitality and a breakfast to die for! The scenery is spectacular and you always have cats,a miniature pony,a goat, and friendly dogs to greet you and make you feel at home. We loved our room and how we were made to feel at home just like we would in our own residences. Please consider this bed and breakfast for any gathering or just a one night visit. To our host Bunny and Chas, Thank you for the great memories you have given us and we will see you for many7 years to come! Before i finish please know that Bunny has some of the best grilling sauces and jams that will complement any meal.

A charming place!

The Innkeepers make you feel comfortable and right at home. The Jacuzzi in the room was wonderful, and they even supplied bath beads and extra towels for the Jacuzzi(which many B&B's do not). The home is nicely decorated, the grounds are peaceful, and the breakfast was delish!!

Snacks available around-the-clock, too.

Friendly, Charming & Delightful!

Recently stayed for 2 nights with my husband. The establishment is gorgeous and set upon an expanse of beautiful farmland. Our room was absolutely charming. Comfortable and roomier than many bed and breakfasts where we have stayed in the past. We couldn't hear our neighbouring guests which was also a plus. Innkeeper, Bunny, is an absolute gem. She really made us feel welcome with her graciousness and hospitality. She even made us delicious homemade cookies! Bunny provided us with knowledge of nearby sights and attractions in the area since it was out first time visiting the area which was really appreciated. The food and its presentation at Berry Patch was excellent. We felt so relaxed and pampered at the end of our stay that we were sad to leave. We will definitely be back to the Berry Patch on our next trip through the area.

BERRY PATCH - Awesome Bed and Breakfast in Pennsylvania!!!!!!!!!!

Berry Patch was a truly unique and pleasurable experience. Just a few miles from Hershey Park this bed and breakfast is a down home experience. It sits on a hill on acres of land that has rolling hills that is reminiscent of that 18th century New England/small town America feel.

The hospitality was exceptional and very personal. There were many rooms to the house but my wife and I stayed in this cozy room that had everything you needed. TV, air condition, a slamming bathroom, and antique furniture that was immaculately clean. This bed and breakfast has many antiques that are impeccably placed throughout every inch of the house.

The breakfast was fantastic!!!! Berry Patch makes their own products, too. Different jams, hot relish, and an array of sauces. I definitely recommend Berry Patch if you're looking for something that is cozy, warm, safe, and memorable.

Romantic Getaway

This was truly a wonderful romantic getaway. I went with my significant other to the Berry Patch B&B for Fourth of July weekend. Bunny, the innkeeper, was so accommodating and friendly. To add, her food was incredible. She makes a ton of homemade dressings and sauces. I bought her honey mustard marinade and it was delicious.

The bed and breakfast is very well maintained and clean. Each room is decorated beautifully. I highly recommend staying in the Sade room because of the bathtub/jacuzzi feature. The breakfast meals were great too.

I would definitely come back again because of the friendliness, hospitality, and beautiful scenic views.

Berry Fun and Cozy!

One of the most comfy and friendliest stays we've ever had! Relaxing environment...the cutest chocolate lab....and gracious hosts. A Recommened - Herhsey is only about a 15 minute drive away.

The hosts are true patriots and have warm souls.

Just what we needed

Relaxing and quiet atmosphere helped make our stay perfect! We enjoyed the company of other guests during a delicious and filling breakfast. We were very pleased with the size and layout of our room. Our hosts were both attentive and entertaining. If looking for an out-of-town stay without traffic noise but plenty of privacy, this bed and breakfast is complete.

What a wonderful place to stay!

Bunny and Charlie's hospitality was terrific and we felt at home immediately. Their home is so interesting, the rooms comfortable and very pretty (we loved the fireplace in the room) and oh my the breakfast! I just had to purchase one of the cookbooks that Bunnie authored in hopes of re-creating some of her cooking! In addition, Bunnie was very helpful in making suggestions for things to do and see in the area as well as restaurants for dinner. We do look forward to returning.

Our First Trip

We celebrated our first valentine's day together by staying at the Berrypatch bed and breakfast and we absolutely loved every minute of it. The room was so beautiful, nicely decorated, and spacious. The morning meal was delicious. the innkeepers were nice and friendly, very enjoyable and relaxing.

A Wonderful, Relaxing Experience

This was actually my first time at a B&B and also my girlfriend's too. I have to say that after spending a good amount of time looking around for the perfect romantic getaway for two, I was extremely lucky to come across the Berry Patch. It's simple and easy to just say that something is perfect, but this place really is! Bunny and staff are very friendly and courteous...while you're there, you have a very warm sense of welcome. We actually got both received hugs when we left :) The delicious breakfast that we had each morning along with the romantic evening hours we spent in our cottage will provide memories that will last a lifetime! We were even fortunate enough to have a very cute rabbit stay next to us along side of our cottage! I am looking forward to a return trip in the near future...Thank you Bunny and the Berry Patch for an excellent Valentine's Day weekend!

Superb Location, Quiet and Relaxing

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. It was a repeat visit for us, a chance to spend New Year's in a great setting. Holiday decorations were just unbelievable, a very festive atmosphere, yet quiet and intimate. Breakfast is always a treat, and we love the location, since we look forward to great number of different things to do in central Pa.
