STAY AWAY FROM MAINSTAY SUITES Grantville-Hershey North. My two night stay was a trial stay to determine if this hotel could meet my needs as a professional who needs an upcoming multi-month stay, 1) INTERNET SERVICE WAS SO WEAK I COULD NOT WORK AND WAS FORCED TO LEAVE TO WORK ELSEWHERE. 2) THE TOILET DID NOT FLUSH. General Manager Kovich asserted that it did; it did NOT FLUSH; the staff took most all of the two days to turn their attention to this revoting condition. MAINSTAY SUITES FAILED. I will not return and urge others who need clean lodging and working internet to also choose other accommodations.

I was a late arrival coming from Delaware for a softball tournament, but the staff made me and my family feel welcomed the entire trip there and stay. I’m also a night auditor and y’all’s night auditor gave me quite a good laugh. Thanks for the good stay. I would suggest more breakfast options.

CONS: Our room needed some upkeep. The carpet was ripped, the lighting was terrible, the bathroom had a very small sink, there was hair in the shower, and the frdige didn't keep our drinks cold.

Breakfast menu was good but the eggs were from a bag and only sausage for breakfast meat every day. Kitchen area sink was leaking from drain, was quasi repaired and has no drain trap with sewer gas coming into room. Staff was wonderful.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very accommodating for our large group. The only thing that was a little disheartening was the hot breakfast. The eggs were very watery in the chaffing dish. And the sausage links were more of a gray color than browned looking as if they couldve been cooked a tad longer. The pancake machine was neat but didnt cook the pancakes all the way through. There were only 2 fruit choices, mandarin oranges and apples. Having bananas as a choice wouldve been nice. Or oatmeals with granola.

The lock to our hotel room was having issues reading the key card. The front desk worker said it was likely in need of a battery, and the morning maintenance staff would be notified tomorrow. We were only staying one night so it really didn’t matter. Anytime we left the room we had to scan the card a dozen times before it opened. The staff was friendly and helpful but I feel they didn’t have the resources to fix some issues. The bathtub and shower head were pretty dirty looking. We elected to not use that since we were heading home early in the morning.

When i first arrived my room had roaches so i was switched to another room. When in that room, the fridge didnt work the stove didnt work the microwave was burnt inside so you couldnt use it, when i asked to be upgraded and was willing to pay for it i was told no because i booked through expedia..

We had checked the rooms here a couple months before our stay and the room we toured was clean and nice. The room we were assigned to stay in was only ok. Tub was dirty, carpet seemed damp, had to keep our shoes on, carpet was also ripped up at bathroom entrance.

The room was dusty at some of the vents and where the a/c unit was which has a small closet. The dishwasher where you put the dish soap did not lock and the the soap would fall to the bottom. Breakfast and the coffee was good and the staff were helpful.

Our room was perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Next year when we come again I am sure we will make this our stay. If I had to say something negative, it could only be that the pillows were small, but we managed.

Bed bugs!! Photo evidence!My daughters were forced to drive home over 3 hours at 11pm. No room change was offered. A young lady and her teen sister should not be forced to drive home due to verified evidence of bed bugs. Front desk person was extremely combative when refund was demanded. The “manager” was on speaker phone with the Front desk, just say to email the picture and will deal with it in the morning. If no new room was offered, I guess you take the chance of bed bugs or not if you stay here. But I’ll see you in court, please just pay the bills for heat vehicle cleaning, professional clothing cleaning!!

First off 4.99 resort fee? This isnt a resort its a falling apart motel. No hot water clogged sink and couldnt even get a cup of coffee due to machine being broke but worse off, if you have a room on the bottom floor in the morning the staff leaves the laundtlry door open while they clean so you hear a loud high pitch ring from the washer and dryers

Because we arrived early, we were put in a handicap room and since we are not handicapped, using the bathroom was very unaccomadating. The shower curtain is mounted way to high allowing water to get all over the bathroom. There is hardly any where to put our personal toiletries. No toilet lid on seat. Sliding hand held shower rod does not lock in place. Bottom of bathroom door was very banged up, large black marks on outside wall (presumably from wheelchair users). Room key didn’t want to work most of the time and the door was difficult to open/close (really had to push). Breakfast was lousy (eggs tasted like army surplus powdered eggs)

A good trip to see a concert at Penn National Race Track. Only a five minute drive away. A nice free breakfast hit the spot. Loved the kitchenette too.

I asked the front desk to change our room, but they said no other rooms were available.The front desk/ reception told us we could cancel and go somewhere else instead. The girl who ched us in tried spraying something in the room, but it didn’t help at all.
We left the door open for 5–10 minutes, but the smell stayed. Since we had kids with us, we didn’t want to take any risks. We checked out within 15 minutes and asked for a refund.
They only refunded part of the amount, after subtracting Expedia’s fees. Now we still have to deal with Expedia to try to get the rest of our money back.
I would suggest everyone stay away from this place if you don’t want to ruin your vacation or trip. Very poor service and a terrible experience overall.

We chose this property for it's proximity to Hershey park. It is very outdated and does not live up to its advertising. They have a sign in front that states \"pool slide\" yet none exists. They state \"breakfast\" but it was one of the least equipped hotel breakfast I have ever seen. 1 tray with microwaved powdered eggs, bagels a bowl of oranges, and questionable cereal containers. The pancake machine was \"not working\". They did have yogurt in the fridge. The coffee was like a vending machine and the quality was poor.

I loved the having a kitchenette in the room! The room was clean, but the bathroom needed to be fixed/updated. The bathroom door didn't shut correctly, and there was a sticky spot in the carpet we kept stepping on. Looks like someone fell off the treadmill and ended up in the wall, as there was a hole behind it. Decaf coffee was watered down or ran out, which was a disappointment.

Nice place, the pool is clean and the water hot , breakfast was good , only complain its the elevator its a bit slow and the stairs are at the end of the hallway so if your run its close to the middle you will have to walk a big distance to use the stairs, but room was perfect and clean , the only thing they need to upgrade the pictures of the pool and hotel front logo its different, the pool doesn't has the slide anymore, and no lofe guard on duty so you have to be responsible stay with your kids , its 13 minutes to 17 minutes to Hershy park , its location its nice in the country side. Wi definitely will stay again in this location we like it for what we needed.

The staff was friendly and helpful, however they didn’t have any extra pillows to give us when we asked. The hotel is older and the room definitely felt run down. The lobby was well kept. The hotel was alright for the price. I feel with a little elbow grease and updating it could be very nice. The room had a bit of a stale smell when we came in. The bathtubs finish was wearing away.
