Dirty towels left in bathroom from previous guest. Only half a roll of toilet paper. Used soap in both shower and sink. Trash still in trash cans. Someone's hair on the bed. Pillows smelled of Someone's perfume. Heater was off so the room was freezing. Fridge was unplugged so took all night to get cold. Never staying here again.

We needed a last minute room and ended up here. I was hesitant at first, but I liked it so much that it will be my budget hotel of choice from now on when I'm going to hersheypark. AC worked. Room was clean and freshly painted. Beds were older but comfortable. Sheetz is so close you could walk to it! I love this little motel! Its a budget hotel, so nothing fancy, but we felt clean, safe and comfortable here.

Cheap for a reason

This hotel is an old converted motel. The office is not staffed though you can summon someone using a doorbell. The room was old but with an updated bathroom. The room smelled of the chemical used to mask smoking odor. It was at the end of the building, just a few feet from the road and traffic noise kept us awake all night. We booked two nights but left after one. The breakfast was poor, just a coffee pot in the foyer

Our stay was good quiet place to stay near the attractions we only a 10 minute drive. The only thing is that the hotel offer complementary breakfast but they did not specify that is only juice coffee and a pastries which that part I had to waste extra money to be able to eat all three meals outside when I pick my hotel with complementary breakfast is because it would save me a bit of money specially when it’s a family trip so they need to be specific and fix their app that is not a hot breakfast buffet other than that it was a good place to stay

This property was built by a family friend in the late 40’s. It’s tremendous to see the old Stark motel beautifully maintained.

It’s spotless inside and out. It’s very simple, but meticulously cared for.

All day coffee and sufficient breakfast snacks for all guests would complete the welcome experience .

Exactly what you’d expect for a roadside motel, but definitely the cleanest motel I’ve stayed in. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, the sheets and pillows smelled nice and fresh. They even provided granola bars and bottled water in the rooms which I think was a nice touch. Staff was a little sparse while inquiring about early check in, but I do believe it’s family owned and operated and everyone was busy getting rooms ready for the next guests. They do charge early check in/late check out fees. The location is quite convenient to shopping, restaurants, and Hershey Park/Stadium. Uber was very convenient in and out of concert traffic. All in all a very decent stay, and we will stay again for the next concert!

We stayed 2 nights with another couple in a different room. Outside was clean and quiet. The room was clean, water pressure and temperature was awful. Water was warm at best, the pressure was horrible unless you took the wand down and had it almost against you, we had a roll in shower and the bench we used to put our tolietries on because there was no where else to put them would be downright dangerous for someone who actually needed it as it went down just from a foot being on it. The bed was a king, very firm and had a slope at the head of the bed and a bar across the middle of it. They only give 3 very thin pillows for a king sized bed. Definitely woke with my neck hurting. The cable cut out the first night but i dont know if that was the satellite or not. At the desk there is a sign that says they will not give extra linen at all which i found rude. The continental breakfast is a coffee machine with powdered milk and muffins that have probably been there since they opened. The area was super convenient to access hershey and the pa ren faire.

My family was in the area for a wrestling tournament and needed a place to stay the night. The room served us well. There was some noticeable wear to the carpet but the bathroom was clean, the beds were comfortable and clean, and most importantly the AC unit in the room worked great (spent all day at tournament with no AC in building and it was 88 with 80% humidity outside, it was like sitting in an oven).

I would have given cleanliness 5 stars except there was a piece of black dirt (loose) on the floor in the bathroom. I picked it up with tp and put it in the trash can. Other than that, everything was very good.

It’s not a place with extra frills, but a basic bed and bathroom, clean sheets and linens, and I was happy to stay there.

Great Old School Motel

Stayed here one night for a concert at Hershey. Convenient location, 5 minutes from the park. Couldn't be happier with my choice. Clean, quiet, great AC, comfy bed, mini fridge and microwave. Its an old school motel, just the way I like it. Its been updated but still shows signs of age but nothing to detract from the overall experience. Pool was clean and well maintained. Continental breakfast is coffee and some wrapped pastries but who cares. All I need is coffee. Nice to be able to park in front of your room and unload without schlepping things up 2 floors. Love it and would come back

We booed this room because it was close to the activity we were doing the next morning. When we arrived at the motel, we saw several sketchy people hanging around outside and it made us really nervous. I got the insurance to cancel the room but after I canceled it, the site told me it was too late to cancel. There was no warning about how long before we checked in that I could cancel. There were plenty of rooms available so I think that policy stinks. I think I should really get a refund since I bought the cancellation insurance

I had two rooms side by side. The rooms were ok. One had a foul smell from the pipes but my family member didn’t want to complain and switch the room. The furniture is a little outdated. Customer service was great though. I recommend if you need to rest for a night or two but not for longer stays.

The property wasn’t bad. The pool had bugs on the surface of the water obviously not cleaned. There was an active huge hornets nest on one of the light post at the pool that was a hazard. But the most irritating thing I encountered was the nasty woman at the desk . I arrived at 12 pm. She snapped verbally telling me the there was an extra 40 dollar early check in fee. I asked her what time was normal check in time and she again snapped at me 3 pm . I started to walk away knowing i wasn’t going to pay a fee to check in at 12 pm so I told her I would be back at 3 pm. The hotel was empty so it wasn’t like the rooms were being cleaned previous before the next set of patrons. I think really the thing that stood out most was this woman’s nastiness and poor customer handling. I will never go to this motel again and I don’t suggest anyone else does either.

When we checked in the man behind the desk was rude, we had to ring a bell before he came out, barely greeted us, the king bed linens consisted on one sheet and blanket thinner than the sheet and 3 pillows. There was a sign in thr room in capital letters that said, don’t ask for any extra blankets or pillows. So my husband only had one flat pillow and we froze all night. The room was dirty as was the room in general, there was actual garbage popping out from under the dresser.

This is a budget motel, so I wasn’t expecting much, but it didn’t meet even the basic budget standard (though the beds were comfy).

Our late check in was fine; we had to ring a bell for an attendant to arrive but she came out within a minute. FYI, they have plexiglass setup between the patron and the staff, similar to a bank, which was a bit disconcerting regarding how unsafe the area might be.

Upon entering we were greeted with a funky odor. We had to leave the door open (at nearly 11pm) for a while to let it air out a bit. The rooms are also a LURID green color. Normally I don’t give a toss what color the walls are, but this was a putrid day glow green color that puts you on edge.

The biggest issue, though, was the lack of basic amenities. There were no extra pillows or blankets (4 pillows in total for 2 queen beds) and multiple paper signs in the lobby informed us they would not provide any extras.

They also only gave us 1 tiny bottle of shampoo and NO conditioner. I have never stayed in a motel that didn’t give you conditioner (including Super 8 and Motel 6). After a day of riding coasters in the heat, my hair was a tangled mess and needed conditioner.

The sink had a big crack through it, the carpet was frayed, and the old phone was discolored and gross.

I will not be returning to this motel.

The motel was great! The owners take great pride in their motel. It was really close to the Net 1 fields where my daughter played lacrosse. The pool was fun to hang by during the day. There aren’t a lot of frills but it’s clean and the owners were great. We would stay here again for sure. It was about a 15min ride from Hershey so that was a bonus.

Although there is technically a breakfast, it is not adequate and the quality is poor. The coffee was watered down and only powdered creamer was offered. Donuts were stale. The room was dated and the carpet smelled musty. The room was cleaned well overall, but is very run down and only so much the staff can do. The mattresses were cheap and uncomfortable. My friend in the room next door had a faint sewage smell upon arrival and when their toilet clogged shortly after that they were told to come to the office and offered to borrow a plunger. So basically the last group clogged the toilet, no one addressed the issue and they were left to fix it themselves. No one came to clean their room while they were gone for the day. Only cleaned for check in. The lobby smelled like old take out food. The wall air conditioning was very loud. Overall I would not stay here again for a soccer tournament. The price was very out of touch at $370 for the motel. It was maybe the type of place you should pay $125 for (and that is being generous). Not sure how this place has any good reviews.

This is a perfectly adequate motel, check in was easy even at 10:30pm. The room was clean and a decent size. You couldn't hear much between rooms but could hear people outside the rooms very easily. The pool is next to the main road so not super inviting. We were there for a lacrosse tournament at the Ridge Road complex - it was an easy 8 minute drive with a Sheetz nearby for supplies.

It was all just fine and I would have no complaints but for the price of a room. It is absolutely not worth $300/night.

I havent stayed at a road side motel in a long time and was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness. Beds we’re comfortable and there was a large mini fridge. Unfortunately no coffee maker.
Included breakfast was a banana and mini donuts.
Bathroom was very clean but had a sewage smell that lasted the two days we were there.
Price was expensive for what we got but it was a tournament weekend and everything was sold out.
