Would never recommend this place to anyone. Halls and rooms smell like smoke badly. First room I was given we went too walked in and wasn’t even cleaned and had clothes and trash left in it.
Next room smelled horribly of smoke as well as did the hallway. Staff and clientele was not too welcoming when arriving as you had to walk through the party of people at the entrance smoking , cussing and shouting.

This hotel is undergoing renovations right now and while I understand that, there should be some things that shouldn't change because of it. Our room looked clean however the socks that we wore collected so much dirt from the floor they are no longer white. The bathroom needs renovation badly. The mirrors are peeling, the floor is also dirty and when I adjusted the shower head black pieces of dirt came out, as well as all faucets in the shower were loose. Also housekeeping knocked on the door at 10:30 in the morning as we were leaving for the day and we said yes please clean. When we arrived back at 10:00pm our room was only half clean and the door was not pulled shut all the way. Also, there was no security lock at the top of the door. After this experience, I don't think we will be going back to a Scottish Inn. I understand that it's a 2 star hotel and the rooms were not expensive but security and cleanliness should not be compromised.

This was literally the most disgusting, base hotel I have EVER encountered. The lobby smelled like pot, cigarettes and body odor. The pastries from breakfast were still out and only partially covered at 8 PM. Our room window had cracked/broken glass. The bathroom had visible mildew, all doorways were riddled with rust, there were gaps in the flooring, and there was a Cheeto on the floor of our room. The single garbage can had an electric
Lid that would not open. My lungs hurt from being there just a few minutes, and I had to take a benedryl just to sleep. I woke up with a back pain from the protruding bed springs to the realization that the comforter smelled like old body fluid. A maintenance vehicle was double parked in two handicap spots. It had advertised as a clean hotel with a place to buy food and premium beds (all untrue) that should cost $125+ per night, but the walk-in price was $40. We had paid in advance and could not get our money back.

This place is a total dump. The whole building stinks like tobacco, weed and mildew. It’s run down. Our room, the door frames were rusty. The drywall was scuffed and paint was flaking. The window was so dirty you could barely look out. Also, it was cracked. The sheets were stained. The mattress was stained.

You should remove this property as a potential place to stay. I feel cheated when it says inns and suites. It should advertise as a complete dump and you don’t care about your guests.

I feel this listing is false advertising.

We check in on a Thursday. The lady carol who checked us in was amazing and very informational. However, the other staff we came across was horrible. The manager manny should not be running a hotel at all. Not only does he look like a slob he treats customers awful and very Argumentive. Between friends and our own family we had four rooms. Our ac didn’t work but thankfully carol was able to get me a fan and fix our smoke detector. My mother’s room had the coat hanger wrack fall on her and cut her open on her hand. The hotel is very outdated. It was smelly and could have used extra attention to cleaning. My husbands sheets had love stains on them. The breakfast was terrible. Old donuts and the floors were very sticky. On top of that ice machine was broken and the bench my mother sat on outside lifted on the opposite side instead of being screwed in. My mother ended up falling on the ground. The weekend staff and with the manager there who worked all the trash cans around were overflowed with trash. I would not recommend for anyone. The only upside was it’s 12 mins from Hershey

4 people working at the counter, the older woman with glasses did not like the appearance of me and my daughter. I paid for a non smoking room in my reservation and we still got thrown into a smoking room. breakfast waffle maker did not work, it wasn’t a good experience. the Hispanic gentleman that worked at the counter was the coolest one there. the people want nothing to do with you if you have melanin in your skin.

We were a late check-in as we spent the entire day at Hershey Park and just needed a place to lay our heads for the night. For the price, I was not expecting a grand hotel experience. However, upon entering the room, there was a horrible smell; it was not moldy, it was just \"old\" smelling. The floors in the bathroom and the main room were covered in a greasy film to the point that we were sliding. The side tables looked like they had been splashed with a sugary drink. The toilet seat was covered with some brown powder. I always carry Clorox wipes with me, so they saved the day. Not that the status of the lobby makes a difference to the stay, but there was milk dumped all over the floor. The room itself was the first door at the beginning of the hallway, which normally would not matter; however, the door had no bottom, leaving about a 2-inch gap between the bottom of the door and the floor. So, being close to the lobby, the room was brightened by the hallway and by the noise of guests coming and going. Then the air conditioner, which thankfully blew cold air, sounded like someone was constantly shaking a bag of quarters. Again, had we not been exhausted and it not have been so late, I probably would have complained and hoped to get a better room, but I didn't want to go through with all that as we were exhausted, and when we walked in, I witnessed another guest asking for a refund, so I saw how long that process was. Had we not had a 3-hour drive home, we would have left.

Never again! Pros, good TV, Cold Refrigerator, air conditioner worked good. Cons, Everything else, live ants in bed and on the floor. only 2 small lights in the room, broken drawer so use it to put clothes in, no iron or ironing board, no tissues, broken mirror, stains on bedding, rust stains in sink, just overall not very clean. Glad we were there just one night. When I said about the ants to the front desk they just blew me off, never again!!

The room wasn’t the cleanest, stains on the sheets and towels. There were holes in the wall from the door handle, I told the front desk about them and they said they already knew.
The swing bar lock on my door was broken. Although the deadbolt worked, I was traveling alone and had asked the front desk if this could be fixed for safety reasons. The front desk lady brushed my concern off and told me I did not need to worry about it if the deadbolt worked.
On my second day there, upon returning to the hotel I found my room door was left open by a worker. I had fresh towels in the room but my bed wasn’t made, so I assumed it was a staff member. I went to the front desk immediately as this is a major safety concern and the only thing they said was that the staff don’t make the beds everyday. I tried to express that wasn’t the issue, it was the door being left open but I was again brushed off.
Would not recommend this place for anyone traveling alone or if you prioritize safety while traveling.

Room was spacious and comfortable and clean. The staff was accommodating to my needs and left me alone when needed. The Continental Breakfast was more than adequate and varied - from donuts to yogurt, cereal, toast and jam, fruit and waffles, fresh coffee and tea, juice - weekends provided sausage and eggs. The room had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker so you could eat in your room and not have to spend money to eat out which saved money. There was laundry available but I didn't need it but it was good to know it was available.

We arrived around 9:40 PM. All we wanted was to get some sleep before we headed back to New York. There was a person in the room next to ours that was banging on the wall and it sounded like stuff was being broken. I called the front desk and they didn’t do anything about the noise. We ended up leaving because we didn’t feel safe in our hotel room.

This property seems to be owned by individuals trying to make it a budget hotel that is a pleasant and accommodating place to stay. It's in a safe area and my room was clean and comfortable, if a little run down. However, for the price, expectations need to be appropriate. Same for the basic breakfast--waffle maker, some cereal options, bananas, donuts, juice, coffee. The two staff members I interacted with were friendly and helpful. 15 minutes from Hershey Park.

Stale donuts for breakfast, room was dirty, found a dead roach on top of the heat/AC unit, on top of all that they charged me $50 extra for my dog. That was not listed in the ad on the internet. All in all it was the nastiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Avoid this place like the plague. This place should be shut down, no smoke alarm in my room and bare wires hanging 2 feet out of the wall from the AC unit.

For the price? It’s a solid stay.

The check in was pretty easy and staff seemed to be helpful and approachable. Upon check in the woman at the front desk let me know that guests receive a 10% discount at the diner down the street, which was a nice surprise and was useful during my stay (their food was good - above average diner)

Rooms were clean, AC worked well and the shower pressure was good. Was able to hook up my chrome cast which was a good thing as the tvs do not have access to apps like Netflix/hulu/etc. But still have all the regular channels so not really an issue especially I brought my Chrome cast.

Breakfast is good, pancake machine is a nice change from the countless other hotels that have waffle makers. Donuts, oatmeal, coffee etc is offered. Maybe some apples or bananas would be a good additional option as I don’t recall seeing any but also I skip breakfast often and when i do eat it it’s usually towards the end of service.

They do allow smoking some rooms however it’s kept to the third floor so it doesn’t smell it if you are on the other floor (I’m pretty sensitive to smoke so I was surprised by the lack of smoke odor) anyways, it’s not the Ritz Carlton or the Hyatt but for clean rooms, great service and solid breakfast at that price it’s definitely a great option tbh.

The staffer was good. The hotel itself was outdated. The had one elevator for 3 floors. The shower in our room barely worked and it made an annoying noise for about a minute each time you turned it on. Breakfast was bare minimum. But we only paid $47+ tax , so you get what you paid for.

MY CHILDREN FOU D A USED METH PIPE IN OUR ROOM. The owner offered a 50% discount rather than a full refund. The hotel is filthy, dirty floors, debris everywhere, rusty metal in the bathrooms. Do yourself a favor and spend 10 extra bucks to go across the street and stay elsewhere.

I usually don’t write reviews but I’m not sure what happened to this place. We stayed there back in September and was so much better. The older lady that works there was just so rude. When we checked in the temperature outside was like 20 and the heater in the room wasn’t working. The person checked it and said they didn’t have anymore rooms available but gave us a blanket. Finally after about 6 hours it started to heat up. The fridge didn’t work and there was no remote for the TV. I think the beds shrunk too. We stayed in the exact same room type. I’m five foot eight and my feet were hanging off the bed. This is definitely one hotel we won’t be staying at again. The whole hotel has a bad smell as well.

The washer could be a dollar cheaper 3.75 is a bit much. The front entrance where the smokers loiter needs some policing up and a better effort for breakfast. I stayed here because it was the cheapest but you also get what you pay. I pretty much kept to myself. House keeping is very inconsiderate to the guest too loud with lots of profanity

I was eager to leave. The room and bathroom were not properly cleaned, and it didn’t feel comfortable. Breakfast was very basic; cereal, fruit, toast, and yogurt- fine for the price.
