Súper easy check in and check out. Staff were very friendly. I only got to breakfast one morning, but it was pretty good. The coffee was surprisingly good for a hotel.
Room was clean and easy to access. I had forgotten my shampoo and soap so I was grateful for the products provided in the shower. They seemed high quality and smelled good.

Very clean hotel. Newly upgraded. Clean rooms and lobby. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was not even up to regular hotel breakfast standards which are pretty low. It was very small, one counter of items, no yogurts, no pastries etc but the staff was very on top of keeping it clean and stocked. The housekeeping supervisor wasn’t the most professional at all. Spent a lot of time on the phone holding up the elevators. He also forgot about our room change since our original room was not ready. We were woken up very early by the housekeeper, who was very pleasant and apologetic but we would have really liked to have slept in. Could be an excellent hotel. This visit was not excellent.

They were installing new locks on the doors and the programming wasn't working properly so we did have to wait for the guy to program the lock. But again ALL of the staff were friendly and helpful

The Tru in Grantville is very nice. Its clean a pretty good value. The only issue is that the building seems to be built with inferior materials which makes the floors rather noisy. Other than that, the staff are great but they always forget to offer us water and snacks when we check in.

As a long-time Hilton Honors member who has stayed exclusively within Hilton brands since childhood, I found the overall experience to be significantly below expected standards of hospitality, professionalism, and brand conduct. There appeared to be a lack of effective managerial oversight on-site. The general manager was frequently observed in close informal association with staff, with no visible intervention or correction of inappropriate conduct. The overall environment suggested a normalization of unprofessional behavior rather than active enforcement of hospitality standards. In multiple instances, staff behavior toward guests appeared dismissive, and at times crossed into conduct that could reasonably be perceived as bullying or mocking. Guests were at times informed that they should clean or maintain their rooms beyond standard expectations for hotel stays, which is not consistent with full-service hotel operations. Taken together, these issues reflect a broader breakdown in service delivery, staff training, and adherence to brand standards. The experience did not align with the expectations associated with Hilton Honors membership or Hilton-branded properties. A front desk staff member directly addressed the child in a disrespectful manner and referred to her as a “liar” in relation to a minor issue involving a paper plate. Regardless of the context, this interaction was inappropriate and not aligned with acceptable standards of guest relations and its re: a minor.

I have been a Hilton Honors member for years and have stayed at Hilton hotels since I was a child. I have never experienced anything remotely close to this. This hotel does not reflect Hilton’s standards in any way, it felt more like a chaotic, unregulated environment than a professional hospitality establishment. To make matters worse, guests are expected to go beyond normal tidying and essentially clean up after themselves, with staff stating that overnight guests should maintain the room “as they would at home.” That is not what anyone expects when staying at a hotel, especially not at a Hilton property. What’s even more frustrating is the apparent lack of leadership. There is no visible management presence aside from a general manager who seems disengaged and overly familiar with staff, contributing to the unprofessional culture rather than correcting it. There is no sense of accountability, organization, or hospitality standards being upheld. Communication was also a major issue. There were significant language barriers with both front desk and housekeeping staff do not speak a word of English, making even simple requests extremely difficult. At no point did it feel like guest comfort or service was a priority. I am extremely disappointed by my experience at this hotel. The overall environment of the hotel felt chaotic and hostile. Staff members, including front desk and housekeeping, were frequently loud in the lobby, openly speaking negatively about guests.

Most concerning was how my 7-year-old child was treated. A receptionist called her a liar over a paper plate. Good place to stay for one night. Smaller than typical hotel rooms but has everything you need and comfortable bed. My only complaints are the shower leaked onto the floor, the breakfast buffet was poor and the reception desk could not give us change to be able to tip the staff when we left. We ran into this at another hotel we stayed at recently. I realize everyone now uses credit cards so I guess we now have to put it on the credit card. However who is going to take the time to do that when they are quickly checking out OR they don't want us to tip the cleaning staff anymore????

The rooms were much smaller than expected. Although the two beds were a decent size, there were no closets or wardrobes. This meant that we either had to keep everything on the sitting bench that shut it out into the very thin walkway at the foot of the beds, or hang everything up. Hanging everything up from the wall hooks was cute, but absolutely did not work for multiple people staying in that room. The backpacks shut it out all the bags were constantly in the way. It was a very pretty room, and a very clean room, but a very small room. It would work best for a single traveler or a couple sharing a single bed. That said, 24/7 market selections in terms of food and beverages available for purchase were fantastic. And the breakfast was very good as well. Families with small children would like that. They have a DIY pancake machine that you can watch cook your pancakes after adding fun toppings. It was a big hit with the little people in the lobby, so it was a very good stay overall, but just be aware of the very small rooms if you’re coming with your whole family to Hersheypark.

This was one of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed at. The rooms aren't spacious, but we didn't need it to be because we weren't there to hang out, we just needed a clean, comfortable room to stay in. I really enjoyed the flatter pillows, most hotel rooms have high pillows, and I wake up with a stiff neck, but the pillows there were nice and flat. One thing that really surprised me was there was a night lite in the bathroom, which I've never seen in a hotel room. For someone who gets up a lot in the night, it was very beneficial. I will definitely be staying at this brand of hotel the next time we travel.

I was traveling with my daughter who had surgery on her ankle and the stay was over night. The room was spacious and handicap accessible. It does have a tub instead of a shower stall. Room was clean and the air conditioner/ heat unit worked fine. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bkfst was good: omelette, sausage, and great coffee. There is no microwave or coffee maker in the room but there is coffee available in the lobby Would stay here again.

The hotel was very clean. We booked the hotel for the pool. I asked the chat thing what time it opened and it said 630. So since we were coming in late we were going to let the kids swim in the morning. However, the pool doesnt open until 9 am. Which is late for any hotel. We had to be on the road before then, so we had some disappointed kids. Also, when you book it says they will send you a digital key and you dont have to stop at the desk. They didnt send me one and we had to stop at the desk with our hands full. Theres only one trash can. Which i guess thats their brand standard bc we stayed at another Hilton hotel the next night and they only had one.

The hotel welcomes pets, but the grassy area to walk your pet is down a steep slope and is littered with trash. The garbage can in the pet area was overflowing with trash. Could use more grassy areas directly around the hotel instead of the mulch for pets.

3/5 Stars – Decent for a Quick Overnight, But Has Its Shortcomings
The Tru Hotel in Grantville, PA is a decent enough option if you just need a place to rest your head for a single night, but I wouldn’t recommend it for an extended stay.
The rooms are extremely small — there’s really nowhere to sit comfortably other than on the bed itself, which gets old fast. The bathroom was a bright spot; it was nicely designed and the shower was surprisingly roomy. However, the showerhead was already showing signs of wear and wasn’t spraying evenly, which was a bit disappointing for what feels like a newer-style hotel. Keeping a consistent room temperature was also a struggle throughout our stay.
Cleanliness is where things got a little concerning. The room appeared clean on the surface, but the floors left something to be desired. When I looked into it, I found out they don’t actually mop the floors — instead, they use a sticky roller to pick up debris. For non-carpeted vinyl plank flooring, that just doesn’t cut it.
The free breakfast was a mixed bag. The pancakes were genuinely good, and the coffee was a pleasant surprise — they serve Lavazza, which is honestly better than what you’d get at many coffee shops. That said, the eggs were watery and the sausage patties were overly salty, so don’t go in with high expectations.
Overall, the Tru Grantville is a passable option if you’re passing through and need one night of sleep.

We had a great stay at Tru by Hilton in Grantville! The hotel was super clean, modern, and had such a fun, upbeat vibe. The rooms were simple but very comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well maintained.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, and check-in was quick and easy. We also loved the breakfast options — plenty to choose from and perfect for getting the day started.
