The hotel room was spacious and had everything we needed. I do wish more care had been taken with cleaning, as the microwave, counters, and tables did not appear to be wiped and there was a noticeable film of dust. Having a clean hotel room is one less thing to worry about while traveling.
Also, when staying in the suites, they are not directly connected to the main lobby, so you do need to walk outdoors a short distance to get to breakfast, which is not ideal during colder weather.
Overall, the stay was acceptable, but due to these issues, I’m not sure I would choose to stay here again.

This is my fourth year staying here and I must say I was disappointed. Our room was not easily accessible. We had no service for the 4 days we were there. Towels were delivered once and never any housekeeping. I have always been given a room with a private bedroom but not this time. Last year, I even had a fireplace. I always try to stay at a Residence Inn, but this time I was disappointed.

Since this was an older Residence Inn, it had beautiful finishes which you do not see in recently built Residence Inns. Excellent restaurants within a 10-20 minute drive. Service went above and beyond. You can tell this property is very well managed by its appearance and helpfulness from employees. World class. It has an indoor and outdoor pool.

The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. When we were searching for our room, multiple employees asked if we needed help and pointed us in the right direction. They had free rootbeer floats in the afternoon, which my kids loved. Again, the man serving was friendly and smiling. The downside was the rooms themselves. Our room smelled of stale smoke. The bathroom was so tiny, you almost had to step over the toilet to get in and close the door. The tiles around the bottom of the wall in the bathroom were falling off. I could see the mildew behind them. The rooms definitely need updating although they did seem clean. The indoor pool area was nice. No one was there when we were but it got super crowded that evening. I would not stay there again but the staff made up for the all the downfalls.

The only good thing I can say about the hotel is the staff was very friendly. The room was infested with black ants and on my final morning the preteen woke us all up at 3am screaming there was a bug in her bed - after some Google searching, we decided it was a beetle. I told the front desk worker on my checkout and she told me she would tell the exterminator. I do not mind that the hotel has seen better days - cracked tiles and chipped dishes. I did mind that the room was not very clean. The floors and countertops had a layer of grime to them. I went to wipe water up on the bathroom floor after the kids showers and the hand towel came up black.

My husband and I stayed at the Residence Inn Harrisburg Hershey with our two dogs. The hotel room was clean and there was enough surrounding area to walk our dogs. The front desk staff (male and female) were both very sweet and nice to talk to! They answered all of my questions before we arrived with our two dogs to ensure that we wouldn't have any issues. The continental breakfast was great! We would absolutely recommend staying at this location!

I have stayed at much better Marriott Hotels before. This place was definitely not up to the normal Marriott standards. Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the suite that we got was beautiful and a very good price. Cons: We were given the wrong room. We were 4 people in a suite with 2 queen size beds and a pull out sofa bed - 2 women (not a couple), a 14 year old girl and a 15 year old boy. We all needed a bed. I got one bed, my friend and her 14 year old daughter ended up sharing a bed and her 15 year old son got stuck with the sofa bed. When we opened it for him, there wasn't any bedding or pillows anywhere so I called down to the front desk and found out that the concierge there was all by herself without anyone there from housekeeping. She apologized and told me that she couldn't leave the desk so someone unfortunately would have to go down there and pick up the bedding from her. I volunteered to do it so I went back outside and walked all around the property at midnight by myself over to the front lobby. When I arrived, there was another guest waiting there for the same exact reason as me - her room didn't have any bedding for the sofa bed either. So somebody there is obviously not doing their job if multiple rooms are experiencing the same problems. Other problems with our room - a visibly gross and broken hair dryer, no drinking cups, body lotion or body wash in the bathrooms along with crumbs & wrappers under the bathroom and kitchen sinks.
