It was quite the tiniest room I’ve stayed in but perfect for the solo traveller. And staff were exceptional. Greeted me for a bag drop off, left my bags ready for me when I got to the room along with a lovely, thoughtful welcome gift. And a tea trolley outside my door in the morning. Great location.

The communication from this hotel was excellent. It needs to be as it would be quite confusing without their support, but as I say they support very well.
It's a lovely place to stay with a few added perks that really make it special. I'll be back.

The hotel is made up of 3 town houses that are not connected!
Hotels.com information sent me to the correct building but the door code did not work.
Luckily i found a hotel contact number and a VERY helpful guy led me to another town house some 100 meters away.

My chosen room was not avaliable in this building and i was offered another room which was by the front door which was banging clised all night

The advertisement in Hotels.com suggested £16 of free drinks etc ..... maybe £8 is more accurate

Really clean rooms. Small, but such a great location and price for that area. Easy walking distance to tube and Eurostar trains. Loved the easy proximity to food and pubs as well. Lovely welcome sandwich and snacks provided at the hotel was just icing on top of the cake. Definitely recommend The Rokxy Townhouse.

I stayed in the Penthouse, which confusingly wasn't on the top floor, but not a major favtor as that's not why I chose the room.
The room and hotel were suprisingly welcoming with some complementary snacks and drinks.
The area is also quite quiet at night, which helped for an easier sleep.
But the mattress was too soft, if i sat up in the bed i could feel the slats.

The majority of my stay was fine, but just as some constructive feedback however, it was very hard to find building 42 as all online directions take you to the other building, and the shower was cold in the morning at 7.45am.

There were 3 mice and a rat in my room. They were coming out from under the fridge. I could hear them in the walls and see their droppings. My mattress pads was all chewed up and in tiny pieces from rodents. I messaged the “24 hour” phone number and it took more than 3 hours to get a response. I had to move rooms at 4am. I was up all night. In the next room, I saw a mouse coming out from under my bed. The first room was deep in a basement of an old house. It was very dark and did not have a window for egress. It didn’t feel safe or up to fire code. My whole experience was negative. I was up all night and having rodents in both my rooms was both disgusting and unsettling. Upon finally learning there were rodents in my room, I didn’t receive any apology, or any offer of refund. The only positive thing is that this is 3 minutes from Kings Cross. Unless you are desperate, please don’t stay here.

We absolutely loved everything about the Rokxy! The location is fabulous — just down the street from Kings Cross underground and St Pancras train station. There are lots of restaurants and shops in the area. The best thing was the amenities at the hotel! The staff accepted our luggage before check in and delivered it to our apartment. When we got back to the apartment, they had left us a nice gift and cucumber ssndwichs. Each morning st 8:00 am they left a trolley outside our door with English Breakfast tea and snacks. Thanks to the wonderful staff, we felt pampered and taken care of. Next time I’m in London, this is where I will stay!

Good location, in a quiet, pleasant street, close to King’s Cross Station. The room was clean, comfortable and just as described. The fridge was useful and it was lovely to have ice cold water and other cold drinks and chocolate biscuits included gratis. Check-in was smooth and communication was excellent. What made my stay superlative were the helpful staff and extra touches, like taking my cases up to the room while I explored the area (as I arrived early), fresh sandwiches left in the room and a little welcome gift with handwritten note. A tea trolley is left outside each room at 8am too. Loved this! Recommended.

From the moment we arrived, the team were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were always on hand via WhatsApp and happy to help with bags, storage and all the small, thoughtful things that make a stay feel easy and relaxed. Nothing felt like a bother.

Our room was beautiful. We stayed in their brand new property and everything, from the pink front door to the fabulous pillows, felt well considered and genuinely lovely.

A special mention to Mike, who was particularly pleasant and helpful.

We also loved the little touches: the handwritten notes, snacks on arrival, and the Fortnum & Mason gift.
Waking up to the tea tray and newspaper delivery in the morning was such a treat.

We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back. Highly recommend. 💛

One of the most stressful and misleading stays I’ve ever had. The property was advertised as soundproof, but traffic noise was constant all night and the front door had a large gap that made it even louder and let bright light in. People walked right past the ground-floor windows all night, which made the apartment feel unsafe.

Several parts of the listing were inaccurate: the property was shown as Rokxy Townhouse at 29 Argyle Square, but we were placed at 35 Swinton Street on a very busy main road. Facilities shown online (like the retro arcade and Peloton rooms) were not available. It also advertised a free minibar that didn’t exist—after raising it, the listing was edited and we were handed a few inexpensive convenience-store drinks instead. The “24-hour front desk concierge” was just WhatsApp messages from one person.

When we raised our concerns, we were told it was “best for all concerned that we part ways,” and then informed we needed to leave and that the access codes would be changed. From our perspective, this left us feeling pressured to leave immediately, and we suddenly had nowhere to stay—with a three-month-old baby. Expedia were unable to secure a refund at the time.

We paid £679 for two nights, and the stay simply did not match the listing. The inaccuracies, noise, safety concerns, and how the situation was handled completely overshadowed our trip. I strongly recommend checking all details carefully before booking.

The pre-arrival and arrival communications from the concierge was excellent. The location was excellent. The bed was very comfortable. The room was tiny, the en-suite tinier still! No room to swing a kitten! The general appearance was rather shabby and worn with tatty and frayed mats, chipped paint etc. A lot of noise at night from outside, but that’s not the hotels’ fault.

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was very convenient to the St Pancras International Train station and only a short walk. We booked the Queen Room for two nights. The room was perfect for a two night stay and we got some goodies upon arrival. Also, we got a cart of tea and the daily paper each morning. Upon entry we were greeted by Mir and he was excellent! He made us feel very welcomed and helped us with our bags into our room. Mir was our point of contact during our stay and definitely was great to know that we could reach out directly to him during our stay. We definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for something close to the train station and a friendly and courteous staff!

Stayed for one night for a business trip and chose this due to location which is ideal as only 5 minute walk from Kings Cross station.

Selected the Kings Suite which is located on the lower ground floor and even has a small outdoor space. The room is very good in size and has a 3 person table, double bed, seating area and small kitchen area. There is a large wet room and the decor is excellent.

The real standout is the customer service. There are so many little things that they do (and don’t have to) which makes them stand well above others.From the personalised hand-written card and gift, to the complimentary food and drink in the room, to the morning tea trolley with newspaper etc that is waiting for you at your door in the morning. It really does make a difference and nothing is too much trouble. Mir is a superstar! So friendly and helpful and can’t do any more for you. Thanks Mir!

Also a huge 5 stars for the communication you receive in the build up to your stay. Emails; texts and WhatsApps making sure you have everything you need, not only for a personal welcome and smooth checkin, but also with recommendations for places to visit or eat at locally.

The customer service is above pretty much most other hotels.

The staff went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. They accommodated my early check in without extra payment. and helped with my bags taking them up the stairs (no lift). Thank you for arrival instructions prior to arrival, this made a huge difference being prepared in advance.

The room is small but perfect for an overnight stay. I meant to tell the staff the shower tray didn’t drain quickly, causing an overflow. I haven’t downgraded the rations these things happen, and I forgot to report

The Rokxy Townhosue is very convenient for Kings Cross/St Pancras and is reasonably quiet considering how central it is. There was noise from people and traffic a bit, but not too bad. The room - the Penthouse Suite - was a nice room with big windows overlooking the square (where there was a lot of construction going on). There were a few niggles like a broken toilet roll holder and a rug that had a permanently bent up corner because it catches in the door and it is a bit of a trip hazard. We were told there would be tea, a \"treat\" and a paper in the morning, but we only got tea (which I don't generally drink anyway). A quirky place that tries hard and is decent value for the area.

I have used the Rokxy a few times now especially because of its location to Kings Cross station. Although the rooms are looking a little tired now the customer service greatly outweighs this. The friendly contact by email and WhatsApp keep you updated constantly making check in simple. I will definitely use this hotel again if I'm in London.

Great location close to train station, bus routes, food places and shops. A green park directly oppsite. Fabulous hotel, friendly welcome, good communication prior to arrival. Free mini bar, Smeg kettle, toaster and fridge. Coffee machine and microwave, which was useful. Quirky decoration. In the morning there was a little trolley with teapots and cups of tea and pleasant note wishing us a good day. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

The room is so ridiculously small. The only place to sit is a folding chair which of course is folded.
Room wasn’t ready until after 6pm.
Bath exhaust made a huge unpleasant racket. To sit on toilet you knees hit the sink, shoulder toilet paper dispenser. And the room wasn’t ready. I went across the street to this lovely park Argyl Garden which had, not exaggerating 20 drug users, actively smoking drugs !

Nice little hotel tucked away across the road from St Pancras/Kings Cross station. Reception is just over the road at a different hotel where you can drop your bag if there before check in and they will take across and put in your room for you.
Nice touches; mini bar with free drinks, gift of jam, pot of tea outside the room in the morning (didn't know it was there!)
Needs air con or a room fan for the summer months.

Check in is on a timer so arriving 20 minutes early made it a bit of a problem. Little notes are left and an email to say tea and morning snack will be left at the door at 08:15. Stewed tea and no snack arrived at 9am but we were already on our way out by then. Room is nice but bathroom is tiny. Bit disappointed overall.

Another comfortable stay. We were in the King Suite room in the basement. It is a spacious room with a cute subterranean shower/ wet room. The only challenge in the London heat is getting fresh air in. The window did not have a safety so if we left it open anybody could get in when we were out or asleep. Apart from that it was very comfortable and the staff and small welcoming touches are awesome. Would stay here again.

I had to go back to check the reviews because I thought I was at the wrong hotel. I do not understand all of the excellent reviews. This was the second worst experience I've had in London.
THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONER. 80% of the year this would not matter, but the week i was there was possibly the hottest of the year. Their solution was a small fan on the floor. It was not helpful. The room has poor circulation anyway - one small window that opens- discounting the tiny window in the shower. If you leave the blinds open then the people in the room cattycorner can see into your room and the outside lights are too bright. But if you close the blinds the heat intensifies. It never cooled off at night. The temp finally dropped 36 hrs after the temp outside broke and I left the next day. After Summer 2022 all businesses should have a plan to deal with the heat waves. No excuses. At least get a Dyson fan so its quiet.
There is nothing eco friendly about the service. They advertise housekeeping if requsted but still brought new towels every day. I had nine in my room at one point- I was happy to reuse towels but never got the chance.
The room was quiet except every door on two floors slamming for about two hours every morning. Forget about sleeping in.
Unwanted tea trolley blocking the door every morning. Comfortable bed except for the spiders. Sewer smell from shower. Tchotchkes everywhere. No safe. I could go on but I've run out of room. Not worth the fees at all.

Underwhelming stay & asked to leave a good review

Room did not meet our expectations.

The room was really small and felt quite claustrophobic. There was no storage at all, and 3 hangers on a peg thing for the ‘wardrobe’. No proper drawers, cupboards or a table so nowhere to get ready or to open up a suitcase if you had one.

The paint on the wall looked tired in places and the furnishings felt cheap. For the price we paid, I was expecting better quality for things such as the mattress which dipped in the middle and was small, the bed frame, the towels, etc. We did get a free ‘minibar’ but this was just a couple bottles of water, 2 Fanta cans, 2 foster cans, half a sandwich and 2 kitkats - I think they’d be better off spending the money on upgrading the room.

The bathroom was tiny. The shower flooded very easily and the plug drainage was really poor so I had to stop showering half way through! Again, the quality just felt cheap. There was just one shower gel dispenser on the wall and for the money I’d have expected shampoo, conditioner, etc.

The room itself has poor ventilation and got extremely hot and we felt uncomfortable all night. There was a fan provided but it didn’t do much so we left really early as we didn’t sleep.

The cleaning standards could also be improved, we found dust in quite a few spaces.

As we were leaving, the member of staff said ‘you will leave us a good review’ when we told him about the shower issue. So seems like they ask for good reviews rather than earning them which I don’t agree with.

The townhouse we had was Hygge and while it was adorable, so cute with two separate rooms and Two (small) full bathrooms! All at a good value; keep in mind, it is small and no air conditioner for hot summer days, though they promised next year they plan to have A/C.

The hotel was easy to find, once I realised I was looking for \"Argyle Square\" not \"Street.\" The staff were all very friendly and helpful and communicated effectively before my arrival and throughout my visit. They were always on hand and were keen to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The room was well decorated and the bed was very comfortable, I was pleased to have a fridge and a microwave as when travelling on my own I don't always want to eat out, the freebies and treats were a nice touch. Very easy to get into town from the hotel and very close to King's Cross. I would definitely stay again

The worst part is the dated room, tiny bathroom, plastic shower curtain and a non descriptive gel container mounted in the shower that reminds me of road side motel. The only bright spots are the staff they are wonderful, and the location near kings x station.

The King Suite downstairs is more for athletic travelers and not for those with mobility issues. We had no idea before booking. Would have been nice to know ahead of time. Many up and down steps made it difficult to get to and from the bathroom. The room was warm/humid, but thank goodness for the portable fan. No hooks anywhere to hang our toiletry bag and towels. Would have preferred better lighting as it was dim and hard to apply makeup. Pillows were flat. The room was quirky and definitely different. The location was perfect, near Kings X and St. Pancras train stations. Staff was kind and friendly.

Cool vibe but some issues in the room. Bed very comfy!! Looks great but up close getting a little tired. Shower very small and scolding hot. Bathroom poorly ventilated so smelt a little damp. Slightly clunky check in process due to delayed access codes.

Good location and price point.

Very convenient location to St. Pancreas train station. We chose it for that reason as it was a quick overnight. Nice touches with snacks and tea in the morning. Room was tiny but it's London and bed wasn't so comfy but management was very helpful. No safe in room.

The room was nicely decorated and came with tons of free snacks and drinks. The staff was really sweet and helpful. Location was perfect for getting to the train station and lots of cool spots around town. It was a bit toasty at night with no A/c on an unseasonably warm couple days but the fan in the room was clutch.

Rocking at the Rokxsy

On site help was wonderful. We had a lovely tea service in the morning and staff was great. Location is close to St Pancras but away from the noise and bustle. We will return on a future visit to London. Don’t trust the address number—trust Google to get you there.

This was a new experience for me staying where there was no reception. Code for entry emailed on day of arrival and despite my credit card company being difficult the team were patient.
A lovely Fortnum and Mason jar of Jane on the bed as an arrival gift, cucumber sandwiches waiting for me and a fully stocked and complimentary mini fridge.
On checkout I left my room in my bag and the team took it to their hotel close by for safekeeping for the day. Welcomed every morning with a pot of tea and biscuits outside my door. Lots of lovely little touches. Only downside is main office is round the corner and you have to knock to get in which is sometimes difficult if no one is there.

There were glitches with the t.v., though, and a radio played an odd repetitive song throughout the night.. i dont know what that was about, but by night 3 I went into the hallway and unplugged it.

The Rokxy is just a few blocks from Kings Cross. I liked the amenities at Kings Cross station, and there are several small grocery stores nearby. The Rokxy has character. Love the quirky decor. I was welcomed with snacks and treats, and several nice notes throughout my 4-day stay. I had a few glitches with the telivision. Didnt work upon arrival. Turned out it was unplugged in the back. The 2nd day the remote stopped working. Someone came over within maybe 5 minutes with fresh batteries. The 3rd night the remote froze and the power on the teli shut itself off. At 12:45 a.m. I was awakened by blue light from the tv screen. It turned itself (kinda) back on. Fortunately the remote worked again and i could shut it off. I suspect the tv or remote may need replacing. So aside from the teli issues, staying at the Rokxy was great. I highly recommend.

No human interaction for check in, a set of codes for the front door and room door emailed to you with a number to contact staff if needed.
Definitely not what I expected for the cost, but maybe I missed these details when I booked.

It was definitely not the type of room I wanted to come back to relax in. It was located in the basement, so I was unable to leave the window open.

Generous and friendly staff, with sandwiches and crisps upon arrival and a tea cart outside the room in the morning. Clean comfortable room with hot shower. Perfect location next to Kings Cross. Great communication. Highly recommended!
