A really good, reasonably-priced option near King's Cross. Room was spotlessly clean and reception staff very helpful. Reception is 24 hour which is helpful for later arrival or enquiries. The room (single room) had a decent size bed, but the room itself was tiny - not a problem in itself but there was nowhere to put a suitcase! This was just a minor inconvenience though and I would certainly recommend this hotel and stay again. Even though my room was on the ground floor it was quiet.

We were a couple of friends going to a festival over the weekend and having to catch an early coach from Kings Cross. HW was the perfect location, 5 mins walk to catch the coach. Beds comfy, tea and coffee in room (not that we had time for that) and friendly welcoming staff. Dropping our bags off to catch the 8am coach was no problem at all. Great location for Kings Cross/St Pancreas.

The hotel was excellent in terms of location close to Kings Cross and St. Pancras and the availability of dining options in the neighborhood. It was perfect for an overnight stay before getting an early morning train the next day to Paris. My only fault would be that my room was quite noisy at times. Being a solo traveler my room was in the basement( not uncommon in London hotels) and during the afternoon, after I had been traveling and wanted to take a nap, I was constantly awakened by doors slamming and staff talking in the corridor. Late in the evening I was kept awake by loud conversations maybe in other rooms or in a nearby building.

One night stay to catch early morning Eurostar. Sinle rooms are in the basement, down 2 flights of stairs but the single room is an example of containing everything well designed in a small space - and there's even a window into a light well. Finishes in the room are immaculate, even the bathroom, considering what the designers had to fit into a small space. Only criticism was the noise from the guests on the upper floors who seemed to be having an impromptu concert party in the wee small hours, but I suppose, that's London for you

I was quite disappointed with the condition of the room we stayed in. It turned out to be a basement room, which we were not informed of prior to our arrival. We had to carry our luggage down a narrow staircase, which was inconvenient and unexpected.

The worst part, however, was the awful smell coming from the bathroom—it was overwhelming and made me feel physically ill. We developed sore throats the following morning, which lingered during our stay but disappeared as soon as we left the hotel and the city.
This raises serious concerns about the livability of the room and the overall health and safety standards of the hotel. I would strongly urge management to review these conditions with the unknown or known issues in the hotel.

Although the rooms are small, this is to be expected in Europe and they still had absolutely everything you need even for a longer term stay. Fantastic big towels and good quality shower gel. There are two minor gripes and I can't see how the hotel can do anything about them. We were on the lower floor and the staircase to get down is quite narrow and steep. The other thing that didn't bother us but might be something to consider is that we had a room for 3 for the two of us. If we had had more luggage I think it would have been a bit of a squeeze. Despite these tiny things we have already recommended the hotel to a few people.

Booked a single room on Expedia at about 6pm on the same day. Arrived about midnight with a flat phone battery and they had no record of my booking. Had to charge my battery at reception to get my email to prove I had booked. Then told they had no rooms left. Eventually, after some discussion, they gave me a quadruple room for the night. After that the my night was ok, but I wouldn't risk booking here again.
