Hotel and staff were adequate for the reasons we were staying. The property is a bit outdated. The milk at breakfast was sour and undrinkable with the staff corrected the issue immediately. Overall, it was a very good hotel for the price and value.
Dominic
Great experience
Basheer
This is a nice place to stay. Easy access to local venues
Terelle
Enjoyed my stay. Everything was nice
Arnold A
Very clean and great staff
Lakesha
This was a decent option. Not the worst, not the best. The upkeep of the hotel could use some improvement. We were on the 2nd floor, and there was an old, stale smell to the property. Also, the floor AC units could use an upgrade. The breakfast was just ok. Other than that, the room was clean overall. Also, no smart TV in the room, so no way to watch Netflix, just cable TV.
Toni
Hotel was amazingly clean!
Marc
There was a large group of campers staying at the hotel but it was not a problem
Anne
Enjoyed a few minutes in the hot tub, great options at breakfast with good coffee!

Was not happy with the hotel stay in that plenty of time before.I guess someone else took over the property. Wasn't happen with the rooms? The service was terrible. And I won't be staying there anymore. Resident Inn is where I would be laying my head.
Jordan
Clean room and friendly staff

The hotel was very well maintained. One of the best hotels I have stayed at. Some of this fitness equipment did not seem to work and the whirlpool was out of order which was a bummer but I hope the next time I stop by they’ll be available! Staff was very helpful and nice as well.

My recent stay had one major issue. The first night, the “chirping” from the smoke detector kept me awake. A phone call to the desk to complain about the issue produced no action from the front desk. Half an hour later, still no show from maintenance. I decided to go downstairs. Explained what the issue was and all I received was a half hearted apology. I had two rooms booked and ended up staying in the second room. The second night I went to front again to address the issue. I was assured that maintenance would take of it. After being gone most of the day, I returned to the hotel and the first thing I heard when entering the room was the “chirping” again. Went back to front desk, by this point very angry and agitated. I explained again the solution was simple…the battery needed to be replaced. A quick and easy fix. The clerk accompanied me to my room so he could fully understand what the issue was. He didn’t replace the battery just press some buttons that stopped the chirping. Fast forward a few hours later, the chirping resumed. At this point, it’s my last night and I can’t wait to leave. Will I be back or recommend this hotel? Probably not.
Carlisso
It was a decent experience overall.

I traveled to Lafayette for a short getaway, this hotel is exactly what I needed. It was most of clean and peaceful. No complaints. I especially enjoyed the complimentary coffee/tra station. Small things go a long way

Everyone was so nice and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable. We had trouble at the airport with the rental but the hotel staff cam and picked us up and took us back when our car was ready
KATIA
Meghan
Very clean and quiet, bed was very comfortable
Stacy
Love everything. Good breakfast

We waited in line for a while, but when it was our time to check in it was very smooth. Not sure what the problem was. Nevertheless, our stay was pleasant; staff were excellent, food was good.
Please consider transportation to and from the train station for guests staying multiple days, as you do for guest coming in by plane.
Overall, it was a good stay.

Breakfast menu was fine.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Trash can was not emptied when room was cleaned.
Shower water was impossible to regulate…went from boiling to too cold with a slight adjustment.
Disturbance in the parking lot at 2AM on Saturday nite was stressful and altho short lived, interrupted our sleep. Will make us reconsider staying here again.

Attractive room, great breakfast. One elevator didn't work. No wake up call. No premium (HBO, etc) tv.
Devin

Ronald
Breakfast was fresh and hot. Room clean.

The rooms were clean and well maintained.
The breakfast buffet was chaotic, poorly set up, plates and silverware in the middle of of all the food, instead of at the beginning of the line. Good food and coffee, if they can keep the pots full.
Not all the staff knows English, and use translation apps on their phones.

Hotel was ok for the price; it was quite dated and had an old musty smell odor, the hotel used freshner to try to make it smell better but you could still smell \"old\" smell
The breakfast was nice and simple, typical of most hotels these days
The beds are very very comfortable, I didn't want to get up the next morning lol.

Nice clean and quite!!

I wasn't impressed with this hotel. We were only there for a few hours. But the room felt and smelt damp, like it had water leaking issues. We NEVER saw any leaks, so thats just an observation. The bed was ok, but seemed to make you roll to the middle. I personally didn't eat the breakfast. The eggs were very watery, so I decided to pass on breakfast. My husband chose to only eat a yogurt, which is super unusual for him. And my son would only eat the bagels and toast. We will be looking for a different place next time we were in the area.
Joyce
Breakfast was good, the attendant was so efficient, couldn’t believe one person prepared it by herself. Staff at front desk greeted you professionally and was so accommodating. Room was clean and bed was so comfortable. The only negative was the Airport shuttle, which needed to be cleaned and vacuum inside and out. The manager gave 5 diamond service to and from the airport.
Whittany
The bed was super comfy, the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in at a hotel. The shower was a roll in with a large wide shower bench available. The front desk girl is soft spoken but sweet. We stayed here last week in a specific room and they were able to put me in the same room for this stay. We’ll be back when we go that way again
Nora
Manager was super friendly and accommodating. A+
Ava
This was my 1st time staying at a Wingate property & we enjoyed it. Limited breakfast options, not an actual pool just a whirlpool hot tub, & laundry room will probably need new machines soon. We were in town for basketball & overall this property suited our basic needs just fine.
Charles
Terrific stay at Wingate Lafayette. Everything was great, from check-in to the room to the breakfast. I would recommend this hotel in Lafayette
James
Everything was good, the staff really nice and helpful
Francisco
Room was well kept and clean. Quiet area.
yonas
Carpet in hallway and room are old. Stained. Bathroom cabinet legs rusted and ugly. Outside the building is filled with pot smell. Breakfast isn’t breakfast. It is snack and not fresh at all. No bottled water in the rooms; you have to purchase water from the vending machine in the office. But for the price of the stay, it is ok. You get what you pay for , sometimes
Kathy
The building has obviously been updated and looks nice. A definite language barrier with customer and staff- we asked about a AAA discount and front desk person had no idea what we were asking- also came down for coffee at 6:15am and asked about it-I personally had no idea what she said- I realize I am from northern Minnesota - maybe she didn’t know what I was asking but i certainly had no idea what she was saying- I guess i also feel that at check in the staff should know what discounts are available-senior citizen, AAA,ARP ?
Tavae
Housekeeping needs improvement. Staff and hotel were amazing
Tavae
Staff at the front desk were amazing. Hotel was clean. Breakfast ran out at 7:30am had to wait on more to be cooked. Housekeeping didn’t clean microwave out and did not leave but 1 towel in the room. Housekeeping needs to do better but overall, the hotel and staff were superb.
Victor
Shuttle services at it's highest level of service and a professional driver.
Kevin
Nice Stay
scott
Very clean and respectful
Gerald
A/C in the room breaker would jump off, after reporting it to front desk; I was left sleeping in a cold room for that first night. It was still 2;pm the next day before it was repaired.
Alma
Breakfast we decent
Mercedes
My experience was horrible from the first day. My sheets were wet when I arrived I asked the front desk for more sheets, when the receptionist brought them up she stated that I would have to put them on myself because house keeping was left at 3 pm. The second set of sheets that I received had blood on them, which I recorded a video and the final straw was roaches in my refrigerator. When the manager contacted me I was told that she worked 12 hour days, and how it was a bit of an I convince to demand I speak to her on a Sunday at 8 am. She definitely took me by surprise at her response to these issues. I didn't care whether I posted the videos online, which was only my response to her nonchalant attitude. I have never had such a horrible experience at a Wyndham Hotel !!! I will never return !!! Overall the experience was very ghetto! I wish I could post the videos....
Marlena
\"hot\" breakfast was cold and the eggs were wet.
Kimberly
Nice hotel. Clean great price. Would stay again.
Mary
My new favorite hotel
Rebecca
Room was booked for weeks but when i arrived at 3:15 i was given two rooms then told they weren't ready that we'd have to wait or get different rooms. So we had to exchange rooms keys and I chose different rooms because i had already waited past check in time to get the keys the first time. Took about an hour to check in process on a room that was well booked in advance.
John
Clean Room..Great staff and Cleaning Crew…Hot Hot water which is good…no complaints
Kenneth

Christina M
Great location to be close to the airport!
Ariana
Super clean and friendly staff. Not a single complaint.
Corey
Took forever to check in. People were frustrated waiting. Finally got to room smelt like urine. Was given a new room. Front desk guy was more worried if we used the bathroom or beds the whole 2 minutes we were in there. We didn’t touch anything it smelt so bad. Next room was better till during the night. Started smelling bad. Place smells nasty and maybe moldy. Bathroom was in bad shaper. Not worth more than $50 a night at best.
Kevin
Room was good only had to have shower head replaced

Everything was excellent but I checked in at 9 pm that night before by myself.
All I wanted was my perked decaf coffee the next morning but they stated that since they don’t sell that much then they don’t carry it. I had to haul my breakfast with me in my room to perk my own single cup coffee.
Other than that everything was awesome!
Thank you.

Hole in the ceiling. The television wouldn't work. I had just buried my Mom that day. I wanted a nice place to stay before driving 5 hours back to my home.
Also the walls are very thin. You heard every normal speaking conversation people having, their conversation at 2am when they came home and then the morning sounded like something out of a chapter from 50 shades of gray
The refrigerators condenser had leaked all over the capeting carpet it sits on. That was very wet.

The staff was friendly and helpful!

Shuttle service was friendly and excellent. Try to call before you book, so they don’t have to react at the last minute. Rooms were very clean, didn’t eat breakfast but looked good. Plenty of options to eat. Only issue was Lyft and uber, had issues getting to the hotel with traffic in the morning, but no fault of the hotel.
DeWayne
I highly recommend this hotel!!! It's very nice and the fragrance they use is absolutely breathtaking!!!! I will definitely stay here again if I'm in Lafayette. The
breakfast was great as well and the hotel staff was very accommodating

Clean room, great location and quiet.
Samuel
My first room smelled like cigar smoke so I got another. The smell of the hotel is overwhelming, they pump some scent into the hotel excessively, making you wonder if they are masking something. Also I was there for 3 nights and my key cards quit working twice, I do not recommend and would not stay there again.
Rebecca
The room was clean and updated. The desk clerks were very nice and friendly and went above and beyond with their kindness. Great place to stay.
Tracy
I had a procedure at the Ochsner Hospital close by and had to be there early so I didn't get to see or have breakfast, but the hotel was clean quiet and nice! Definitely stay again!
