Booked this hotel, which was way out of our way, because the website stated that there was a car charging station in the hotel. There is NOT. Not only there’s no charger there, but the nearest charger was 13 miles away. The staff and the manager were very helpful canceling my booking which was non refundable. ,

The pros of this property: friendly staff, helpful, spacious room, room pretty clean

The cons: the overall facility was dirty, breakfast was not good, so noisy! It seemed like there was no sound proofing between rooms or floors. They allowed a family to invite off site guests in to have a pool party which made the pool unavailable to the paying guests (too crowded).

I would not stay at this location again.

Breakfast wasn’t as good as some other Homewoods, hotel was recently remodeled and smelled “new” in the common areas but our room had a funky smell that never went away in the 3 days we were there. Beds were comfy enough and the room was clean, staff was very nice and the coffee was good. We didn’t use the pool or gym.

Hotel is currently under renovations. Staff is great. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is included. Steamed scrambled eggs, potatoes, a rotation of meats daily. Waffle station, fruits, juices and coffee are all available.

This hotel does advertise that they have an EV Charger. However upon arrival it was just a plug where you could plug your own charger if you happened to bring your own and it happens to be the right outlet type. Maybe this is temporary while renovations are done. But as of April 2026 there was not a charger at this location.

Coming from another town and my first time staying here , Definitely a 10 out of 10 and you can believe that will make me come back. Property is beautiful and enjoyable for the kids they said we enjoyed the breakfast mini buffet. Plus if you not sure if you wanna enjoy their great food then you can politely go to your room and cook your own so their no losing.

Beautiful hotel! Love the updates and front staff were pleasant. But our stay wasn’t the best!

When we checked in, our room had dirty check markings all on the toilet seat, hairs in the bathroom sink and the bathroom door wouldn't close completely as the door screws were loosely hanging out and eventually fell off. I showed front desk pictures of the room. They apologized and moved us to a different room. On inspection of the new room, it was just as nasty. There was a pool of pee in front of the toilet and the freezer had brown stuff in it. The floor in the kitchen was dirty with white & brown construction residue. So we opted to keep the first room we initially had. We went buy gloves and already had disinfectant wipes and Lysol to clean our room so our family could be comfortably during our multi-night stay.

Also, I was informed on Feb 19th that construction at the property would be complete in 7 days (way before our mid-March arrival). It wasn’t. When we got there it was still ongoing. We were awaked to constant hammering noises at 7:55am our first morning there. Other than that, the remained of our stay was uneventful and check-out process was smooth.

My only complaint was the people staying above us were very loud and I did have to contact front desk to ask them to stop jumping around. This hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but what they have completed is beautiful. It’s perfect for families, groups, etc. the rooms are very spacious, the breakfast is extremely good and they have plenty of areas to lounge/gather outside of your hotel suite. The actual suites are stocked with all you would need to cook/serve a meal with family. A full size refrigerator and 3 burner electric stove. The coach gold out to a full size bed and I had the 2 Queen suite in apartment size. There is a large pool area with gazebo and seperate grilling area on the property. This was a great stay for myself, son, daughter and son-in-law.

My room was newly renovated within the last weeks or months. All was excellent, until I woke up the first morning and saw a Bed Bug crawling on my bed.

I alerted the staff and asked for a room change, they accommodated, but were only able to move me 2 doors down. Due to the close proximity of the first room, I was worried about encountering more Bed Bugs the second night. Fortunately, I didn't see any, but have taken precaution with my personal items to ensure I don't bring an infestation home with me.

Only three reasons we didn't give excellent. Room kinda smelt \"funny.\" It wasn't bad, it just wasn't \"fresh.\" There were no eggs for breakfast and not much variety. It was very crowded and hardly anything available for breakfast. We were trying to eat around 8-8:30 along with everyone else. And lastly, there was no ice in the machine. It just didn't work. Made a lot of noise like it was trying to work. It just didn't. No other complaints.

No EV charging station.

The only reason I picked this hotel was because they claimed to have an EV charging station. The charging station was an outlet. You could plug your own slow travel charger.
While I was there, they had lots of construction and remodeling going on so they had building material stacked up all around the parking space with access to said outlet, which made it difficult to pull in and out.

My bed was a normal, comfortable bed exactly what you expect from a hotel. The room was clean.

Great location. Efficient airport shuttle in new van. Under renovations. Breakfast was good the first morning. Water break left us with a continental buffet the second, which was disappointing but understandable. When we asked for hand soap for our sink, we were told to use the pump stuff.

The property was under construction during our stay but was clean despite that. The staff was helpful, especially one particular African American young lady whose name I do not recall; she was able to quickly extend our stay so we wouldn't have to pack up and change rooms with a 1 year in tow. Another staff person, Derek (sp), who was initially not helpful when I was trying to check in a little early, eventually became very helpful once my husband interacted with him. Overall, the stay was nice.

Entire place is extremely outdated. Room felt old and dirty. No waterproof shower curtain, just the fabric so it leaked everywhere. Hot water was dangerously hot, my 5yo burned herself trying to wash her hands. We stayed at the Slidell location the week prior and it was so much better. Crossing this one off our list, very much regret staying here.

The staff was great. The suite was semi- renovated but overall very good. Breakfast was much better than any similar hotel with Chia pudding and overnight oats. The basketball hoop was an added bonus.

We had black mole in the bathroom I told the front desk and they said they was going to try and move use but there was no other room for Friday night. Saturday we asked again but they said they still didn’t have any rooms available. Around 10:00 they called and told us they will move us to another room which they did around 11:00am. I didn’t take pictures but the clerk at the front desk did. They also had a lamp that was broken and leaning against the wall and dirty qtips on the floor.

The lobby LOOKED beautiful but the first floor smells like cat urine in spite of the air freshener spraying at the front desk. Remodeling signs are everywhere which gives them the excuse to avoid vacuuming ANYWHERE. Floor 4 is half done and only 1 of 2 elevators goes there. Floors 1-3 are VERY dirty, and our 3rd floor room was no better. The manager came up and vacuumed for us saying it should have been done before we arrived, but she missed major chunks of ick so I had to do that myself. The curtains were in tatters, wallpaper pulling away from the wall, and the smell was NOT nice! The front desk staff was extremely unhelpful and I would have moved to a tent in a campground if one had been available. I'm so defeated since this hotel ranked highest in Lafayette, LA.

There was a taco and beer party with loud music. When 10pm came around. I called the front desk and asked when would the party end. It went on for hours. I called a second time and I was placed on hold so, I attempted to fall asleep and at 1pm the talking and laughing went to another level so I called and they said they could not ask them to go to there rooms. I replied either you do or I will call someone else who will. About 30 minutes later the noise stopped. I don’t sleep well at all. Driving home was difficult. I could barely keep my eyes open. This room was over $200 per night. I will contact the corporate office and ask for a refund. What a horrible stay.

There were a number of things in our suite that were broken or in poor condition. The dishwasher wasn’t screwed in and fell forward when opened. One of the toilet seats was broken. Two of our three television remotes did not work. The furniture was worn, but the beds were comfortable. The hotel was being renovated while we were there and so the hallways were often dirty and hot. The breakfast was good though, and we had the pool to ourselves and it was nice. The staff was lovely.

The hotel may be going through some construction because it was so dusty inside. Our sink had a goant crack through it and the beds are hard. It does have a free 240V EV charge port but you have to bring your own charger

Hotel is under renovations but it was still super nice! Check in was quick and easy. Room was amazing. We had gotten the king size suite. Only thing was the shower head needed to be replaced. There wasn't much water pressure. Shayne O. Who works there was amazing! He went above and beyond for hotel guests. Really liked that they offered an area shuttle. Would definitely stay again.

The staff was great! The breakfast was ok. As far as the room we had to moved to another room because in the bathroom the toilet was extremely low to the ground something for a small kids bathroom. The room had a lot of space plus they were also clean. I didn’t need room service because I did it myself. They was also doing remodeling which it made it very noisy. Other than that it was fine. If I had to go back I would stay again. Like I said earlier the staff was extremely nice helpful and friendly. And the kitchen staff also. Thanks for a great stay.

Mediocre

Two issues of concern.
1 The city’s tax rate changed and I had to pay extra at the desk. However the system wasn’t allowing for the payment to be made. This prolonged the check in process.
2 The hot water was tepid most of the time.

Our stay was good. Room was clean. Very quiet and felt safe. Very good place to stay if you have a pet. Only negative was the AC in our room was so loud every time it kicked on. It sounded like a jet engine! I don’t know if that is anything they can correct.
