I arrived Friday around 9:30pm. Pretty easy easy check-in. Staff on duty was respectful. I was in town for a graduation in Erath. Room was clean, I stayed on the ground floor. Breakfast had a huge variety, cereal, waffles, oatmeal, bacon one day sausage the next, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, omelets, fruit, yogurt, bagels, toast, muffins. Very close to Target ( literally around the corner), the mal, a lot of restaurant chains are close like Chili's, Chipotle, etc.

The room was very nice and clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. I also appreciated having a mini kitchen with cooking utensils available it’s great to have that option, even though I didn’t use it during my stay.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I arrived a bit early and asked if I could complete the check-in process ahead of time so I could simply pick up my key later. To my surprise, they allowed me to check in right away and go to my room, which was a huge plus since I was prepared to wait in the lobby (which was also very nice).

I highly recommend this hotel, and this being my second stay says it all!

Everything was wonderful. The beds were extremely comfortable, the rooms were nice, the staff was excellent, and breakfast was great. The only thing I found weird was that there wasn't a room phone to call the operator. I stayed in the 1 bedroom suite. On the first night, I requested a room phone, but the evening staff just told me to use my cell phone. It felt different because I've never been without a room phone, but I'd definitely visit again.

Family time

Our stay went very well. Plenty of parking, spacious room, safe area with many stores nearby. My bed was comfortable, but well worn. I kept rolling from middle to outer edge because of wear - time for a new mattress in Room 103 (and the privacy curtains were stained). This would not deter me from staying again as overall I was impressed with the hotel.

We were very happy with the front desk staff. Very friendly and engaging.

However; the breakfast was prepared nicely and the staff helpful but the area is way too small for the food set up. If there was more space it would not look and seem and be so chaotic. Made one feel not in the mood to reach over everyone for an item. I wanted the waffles both days but the wait of 20 minutes seemed forever. So we didn’t get waffles either day. Just one of those hotel stay ritual’s.

Great hotel, just a note on use of mobile key

Nice hotel and a good stay overall. Check in was a little clunky only because the Marriott app said you could use mobile room key (versus the usual plastic cards). Not a big deal, but I didn’t realize this until I had already gone up to the room, so I had to go back down to get our room keys.

This hotel was so clean and quiet. The bed so was so comfortable and they had plenty of pillows and towels to accommodate all 3 of us. There was a pull out bed in the couch so i didnt have to share my bed with the kiddos. We had a great view and could see the sunset so beautifully from our bed. Truly upset with this place. It’s a relatively new property, only just under 5 years old. The place seems like it was slapped together and then not well maintained at all.

*The room we had stunk when entering, if the ac wasn’t running, the whole room smelled.
*The ac was ice cold during the day and warm at night.
*The towels were yellow and smelly if available at all. I asked for them to be swapped on one day and the housekeeper only had 2.
*The bathroom had moldy (or uncleaned) marks on the tub caulk.
*The lounge chair in the room was dingy and had stains all over.
*Cabinets falling apart.
*No hand soap in room, the GM said he ordered it and it didn’t come, we had to go and buy some.
*Live cockroaches in the gym amongst the broken equipment.
*Pool smelled like household bleach, and lots of it, not pool chlorine.
*The laundry facilities were filthy, I think my clothes came out dirtier than went in. Long black hairs all over my clothes when removed. I did clean the filter before drying.

The sofa bed that my daughter had to sleep on didn’t have sheets, so had to make a trip downstairs. I liked the bathroom, but it had some damage to the shower, which baffles me.

Breakfast area is extremely dark. It's not inviting and hard to see what you're doing. The mood lights are not effective. I was there for 2 days and no one ever came with new towels, came to empty trash or any service. Half shower door doesn't work. All of the water pops out in the rear of the shower and wets the floor. This could definitely be a hazard.

The one of things I didn't like about the room was the bathroom. The toliet, shower, and sink are all in the same enclosed room. If someone takes a shower the sink and mirror get all fogged up. It is no fun to put on makeup or do you hair in a hot bathroom. There is also no full lenght mirror in the room or anywhere in the hotel. Luckliy, I was there for pleasure and not business.

The other confusing thing was the room temperature gage. It didn't have an actual temperature. It would give you a number of 1-10. So you couldn't set it to a certain temperature. I had to guess what was hot or cold. I found it to be strange.

For the most part everything was good. Staff was more than courteous, was always available and was helpful with the things we needed. The only thing negative about our stay in the two bedroom was suite was that it was not cleaned properly.

The toilet was clogged and wouldn't flush, there was a bag of trash left in the bathroom, there were fruit loops scattered around, there was a spilled liquid substance on the window sill and one of the comforters had stains on it.We informed them of the conditions and most were taken care of but they were fully booked and there was not a cleaning person on site.

Everything else about our stay was good but the room condition was a bit of a bummer for us.

We travel to Lafayette often for baseball but this weekend we stayed just me & my husband for a quiet weekend and picked this hotel for literally the smart tv’s they put in the rooms. Well the first room we get the remote won’t even work, waited 20 minutes for the front desk lady to come “fix it” never came up. So we went down & just requested another room, she allowed us to move rooms. The next room was a suite so there was two tvs, the one in the bedroom kept saying it wouldn’t connect to the internet, she comes to try & fix it, doesn’t fix it. Says it will be fixed by the morning, it wasn’t. Thankfully the one in the living room area worked, just really inconvenient & too expensive to not have tv’s that work. We will stay again because we like the property & stores/restaurants around.

The staff was always very courteous and kind but there were no towels when we asked for them several times to go swimming. There were loud children above our room that kept us all up on one night despite reporting it. It sounded like they were jumping off of the furniture. Our shower curtain was moldy and in our bathroom there were dark handprints all over. All together I could’ve stayed home and been happier. I came for an end of summer getaway with my kids. I won’t return to a Marriott property.
