I’d give it a 3/10

The tv in our room didn’t work it look very pixelated and only got a few Chanel’s. The wall plugs next to both beds didn’t work. Our shower faucet wouldn’t hold for more than 2 minutes so we weren’t able to use it unless we held the faucet down. The staff however was nice and friendly and it’s very close to the beach.

Bed/linen was clean as well as sink/bathroom. Floors were dirty and shower head was blocked so the spray was like needles. Reported to management who said they’d fix.
So many kids running the halls well past 11:00pm!
Nice location. Shopping is walking distance. Vintage Finds store is awesome. Restaurant across the street is good.

We arrived at the hotel at 8PM after a long drive with a cranky toddler. We we got there, there was a sign in the door that said \"back at 8:35\". We had to wait 35 minutes in the parking lot to be able to check in and get our room. Several other guests were waiting outside as well. There was also no soap at the sink to wash your hands so we had to use body soap from in the shower. The room itself was okay, nothing terrible. Clean enough.

The room was great price was fair, gentleman at the desk informed they were working on the boiler so that meant hot water was gonna take a little while to run. Went to take a shower, kid you not, a straw has better flow then the shower head. Anyway room was good view is better.

The motel is in terrible condition, especially the first floor! The picture on Expedia was completely different! The shower was broken. During check-in, they explained to us (like children) how to use it. But the most important thing is that the bed and mattress are absolutely terrible! We couldn't sleep all night! Something needs to be done about this! The location is very good, the room was clean, but everything else...

Clerk was informative and clear about what was welcomed and what is not welcome out of total respect for all guests. Also a good thing. Parking was meh. A bit inadquet for larger vehicles but otherwise plentiful for cars. Ground floor has ocean sounds but lacks views and I don't know how many floors up untill there are views but go high .v

The room wasn't what we booked. We had booked a two-floor room and got a third-floor corner room that was connected to another room with the beds directly next to each other. The walls were so thin you could hear every single word and snore of the other guests. We got absolutely no sleep. The room was freezing with no heater, only a slave heater that didn't do much. The overall experience was not pleasant at all. The only great thing was the location.

This was our final chance to give this place.
Wasn’t busy at all which was a plus, but the rooms are so dated. The shower has a gaping hole in the wall where the shower head comes through, the door inside the bathroom was filthy, and there were even clothes tucked under the table that were not ours… just gross and you can tell there’s no lack of care.

It was the noisiest room i have ever stayed in. Outside trucks loading and unloading at 500am for the restaurant next door. . Then the delivery servive next door started loading at 600am. Also the room above ours sounded like theyvwere building furniture all night for two nights. I talked to the front desk and got no help at all.
They were supposed to come clean our room. They never showed up. We had to call them then they only brought towels. The bathroom fan sounded like a truck engine . The beds was like a rock..
I can not and will never stay or recommend this hotel. Very disappointed

The location was close to the ocean, but unfortunately the hotel felt more like an hourly motel. We were extremely uncomfortable staying there, but it was late when we arrived. The room was outdated and not very clean. The bed skirt had a stain that looked like either milk or something else, which was very unsettling.

We had booked two nights, but the first night we could barely sleep because of the noise level. Our room was also right next to a dirty ice machine, and the underground parking had water leaking from somewhere.

When we asked to check out early, they did refund the unused night, but honestly the entire stay should have been comped. There are so many better, cleaner, updated options in the area many with free parking as well.

Excellent location directly across from Lover's Point. Ample parking, easy check in and out. Room was simple, but clean and appointed with traveler essentials. Coffee maker didn't work, but there was bottomless coffee in the lobby. Concierge was kind and brought me extra blankets, as space heater wasn't quite sufficient. Recommend booking early to secure room on upper floors. Ground floor was noisy from street traffic and had no ocean view. Decent price for value, especially since everything was raised for holiday weekend and golf tournament.

Due to terrible weather and illness me and my girlfriend were unable to make our hotel stay. During checkout I purchased the protection insurance, however the staff refused to honor it. When asked if we are able to move it to a further date so we may stay the night we were denied. The support staff was extremely unhelpful, I do no recommend this hotel due to the lack of client care.

The room itself is nice for what it is, more definitely if you just need a place to sleep and nothing else. It was also raining that night and there was water leaking from the bathroom light and it ended up flooding the bathroom floor and a bit of the carpet in the morning. Other than that it was okay.

Great beach access and overlook point to just view the ocean. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay with overall comfort of the bed. The bathroom was a little on the small side but we made it work.

The parking situation needs to get looked at due to if you park underneath the hotel gets packed makes it tuff to get out.

Checked into room 212 before we could get unpacked there was an odor in the room. My husband and I both felt lightheaded. We notified the front desk. He came and notified us he didn’t feel we were safe in this room and moved us two doors down. I couldn’t sleep thinking of gas explosion. Staff never apologized or checked on us after being exposed. Rooms were very outdated and not representative of online descriptions. Floor’s creek and uneven, tv has bad reception. We would not recommend this business

We were really pleased with our ocean view from the third floor. There was a beautiful park 1 minute walk across the street. Also an excellent restaurant right across the street. Located on Oceanview drive just beautiful coastline right down to the entrance to the 17 mile drive We have a new place to stay in the Monterrey area

Location, location, location! Clean, even though it’s an older hotel. Vanity sink area was nice to have room to spread out and to have the toilet & shower separate. Right near the Lover’s Point park and walkway for amazing views of the Pacific ocean and bay aquatic life. Close to downtown shops and restaurants too.

When we got there to check in, no one was in office. We waited about 30 minutes before we could check in. Pillows were super uncomfortable and there were only 3. No extra blankets for a cold night. The shower had hair and the shower knob had mold on it. Half the toilet paper was used and there were no extras. Overall, the room was pretty outdated. Would not recommend to stay more than one night.

The location of this hotel is great. Greeting staff was friendly. Parking is not great. Limited spaces and an underground parking garage that was dark and kinda scary. The elevators were down while we were there: not sure if they are always down or what. We were notified upon arrival that they
were out. If this had been a summer trip parking would not be an issue I’d walk but didn’t feel safe walking around after dark.

The beds were lumpy as one other reviewer notes showers were semi warm - no indicators on which was hot or cold. We had asked for room service one day during the 3 day stay and after making a complaint about the elevator we did not get room service. One night we wanted to eat dinner together at the table and I had seen 2 chairs in other guest rooms so called to inquire about a 2nd chair and was told there was none. If my goal was to not be in the room about and be out and about I might stay again in the summer…when walking is more okay to ensure there was a parking spot. Also noting: after 6/7 only one option for food close by. Other options are about 2-3 blocks away.

Just wish the elevator worked, as we were on the 3rd floor, but they had just had a crazy storm that took the power out for a little while, so maybe it was because of that, but we definitely got our steps in. Look forward to staying here again!

The online pictures are definitely a catfish. The rooms are clearly old and use older AC/heating units. The rooms have to be aired out constantly otherwise a sewage like smell accumulates. Otherwise a decent stay, with lovers point park just across the street and cannery row a 15 min walk away.

Great location. Oceanview. Close to good food, the long trail, marine research, Aquarium.The room was clean and comfortably appointed. Bed was firm which I like. I didn't see duvets or blankets, though the bedclothes kept me comfy.The storm caused a lengthy outage of a few hours. They offered emergency lamps. Thankfully, the power returned by evening. Staff was friendly. Elevator was out the whole time.The outside could use some work. Trash area was messy maybe the storm. Unfinished paint area.
