The property was located in a beautiful are in the hills above Sorrento. It was a quite a walk but doable. Gianluigi was an outstanding host, he picked us up from the ferry and provided rides every night from the city center to the property. Breakfast every morning delicious, fresh tomatoes and olive oil from his olive trees. Staying at Casarufolo was like staying at a good friend’s house. We would definitely recommend staying there.

The main thing that stuck out to me when considering booking Casarufolo Paradise was the kind words about the host Gianluigi and they were not wrong! Gianluigi is a very accommodating and personable host. He offers shuttles from Piazza Tasso at 8 and 9pm and anytime between 10pm-12am for a fee. The room was very clean and sheets were switched over once during my three night stay. The view from my window was incredible! It is a very steep walk if you are considering walking to Casarufolo Paradise, but it is manageable. Overall I loved my stay and would definitely stay again!

Casarufolo truly lived to its name, it really is a piece of paradise in a very paradisiacal location like Sorrento. The property has breath taking views of Sorrento from every single angle, it is situated in a very tranquil part. The owner Luigi is amazing, he goes above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible. He will also pick you up and drop you off at Sorrento and accomodate your drop off should you have a scheduled tour early in the morning.

I highly recommend staying at Casarufolo, the rooms and the service overall are excellent and Luigi is an amazing host.

The view was unbelievable, it was incredibly quiet, the breakfast was wonderful and Gian Luigi ensured it was a vacation I would never forget. You have a beautiful view of the city and coast from the property, and the staff make you feel at home. The property is up a steep hill, but Gianluigi will immediately shuttle you up and down in his car upon request. Staying at casarufolo paradise made our Sorrento trip even better! Best place with an amazing view & fabulous host!

We had an amazing stay with Luigi and his family. The view is something I’ve never seen from accomodation before. It’s out of this world. Luigi is one the loveliest people we have ever met. He picked us up from in town whenever needed, provided breakfast and services whenever requested. Nothing was a trouble. He even drove us to the station at 5am. Thank you so much Luigi and family.

My wife and I had wonderful stay at the Casarufolo Paradise in early June! Truly the highlight of our two week trip to Italy. The owner - Gianluigi - is such a genuine and passionate person who will go above and beyond to ensure all of his guests are satisfied. He and his crew are multilingual, know each guest by name, their preferences, and will coordinate/schedule any activities and excursions around the Amalfi Clast you could ever think of. I would honestly go back to Sorrento just to visit Gianluigi. With the B&B being a moderate distance from the town center and up a hill did not provide for any issues because he shuttles guests up and down throughout the day. When you see the views of Sorrento and Mt. Vesuvius across the bay from the beautiful property surrounded by olive and citrus trees, you’ll be glad you chose this place. This is quintessential Italy. Grazie mille, Gianluigi!

Beautiful location on the hills of Sorrento. Magnificent view of Sorrento and Mt Versuvius, surrounded by olive plantations. A tranquil and quiet break from the busy centre of Sorrento. The staff and our host, Gianluigi, were great! Friendly, responsive and helpful, and available to shuttle us back and forth anytime of the day. Breakfast served every morning in the terrace was a real treat, and the view was spectacular. Highly recommend this place for anyone who wants an authentic experience of life in the Amalfi Coast - from the coastlands to the hill tops.

This was an amazing experience. The best part was the host Gianluigi. He went out of his way at every turn to give us rides, make recommendations, serve us breakfast, set up taxi rides. He even gave us a ride an hour away to our next destination. The hotel overlooks the city on a bluff and has a tremendous view. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a true Italy experience.

Beautiful property up on the hill with breathtaking views. Gianluigi and his wife treated us like family and we would not hesitate to book again. Quite a walk to town but this did not bother us because we left in the morning and then did not come back until the night each day and Gianluigi made a pickup at 9 and 10 each night to drive us back up the hill. He was on time every time. The place to go for peace and quiet after a long day of exploring.

This property is impossible to find and reach with a car. You have to park your car at the bottom of the hill. Good luck finding parking in Sorrento. They say that they will pick you up with a shuttle bus, but then don't answer their phone when you call. The center of Sorrento, were all the restaurants and entertainment is, is to far to walk. Walking back is climbing a steep hill. This property is misleading in its advertising. We had to book another hotel because of this inconvenience. They will not refund your money.

This property is absolutely beautiful and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
Breakfast was provided each morning in a lovely outdoor setting with ocean views.
The room was clean and spacious.
The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming.
Myself and my husband got sick for 2 days while staying here, and the hosts were extremely helpful and provided us with food, supplies and even medicine to assist us while we were unwell and unable to leave the property.
Be aware when booking that this property is a 5-10 minute drive from the main town of Sorrento and a 30 minute walk from the main town, however the walk to the property is up an extremely steep hill and is extremely challenging by foot. I completed the walk/hike twice, and as a moderately fit person it was still extremely difficult. I would recommend staying here if you have either your own mode of transport (car/vespa) or if you don’t intend on going in and out of town more than once per day, however, Gianluigi happily provides transport in and out of town when requested and has a pre arranged shuttle service each evening to return to the property.

Wonderful stay at Casarufolo Paradise. Gianluigi was a perfect host, picking us up from the station on arrival and generally making us feel very welcome. The hotel is at the top of a very steep hill which would be difficult (though not impossible) to manage on foot but Gianluigi gave us a lift into town every morning and would pick us up in the evening at a pre arranged pick up point in town (lifts were offered at two different times in the evening which worked really well). The hotel itself was wonderful and the setting could not have been more amazing, with fabulous views of the Amalfi coast. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to other travellers.

staff provided excellent shuttle service that made up for difficult drive to property.
if you don't have a car, want peace/quiet, like rustic feel, and can rely on good shuttle service into town then this is a good place to stay.
i picked this place because of parking for my car. most of sorrento has no parking available for their hotels and public parking is very expensive

This is a great property to stay off the main area of Sorrento. It is located overlooking Sorrento and Mount Vesuvius. The host Gianluigi was incredible as he was very accommodating. The drive up to the B&B was absolutely challenging and Gianluigi drove our car up the rest of the way as it was crazy narrow. For the rest of the trip he would drive us down in the morning and pick us up in the evening. So if you stay here or on the Amalfi Coast, I’d recommend not renting a car in the high season unless you like a chaotic stress.

Overall this was a great retreat spot with an incredible view and a fabulous host.

This property is located approx. 1.6 km from downtown which provides an amazing view over Sorrento. The host is extraordinarily accommodating. Breakfast is provided every morning which was fresh and delicious. The location is quiet. The only downfall is getting there! Straight up a very steep road that seems never ending. My husband and I are fit and it was not an easy stroll! That said, the host does offer transportation up and down to town at no cost which was greatly appreciated!

Exceptional location and host! I’ve never experienced such respect and care before. This is undoubtedly the best place to stay in Sorrento. The view from the top is stunning, and the shuttle service provided by Gianlugi, the host, is incredibly convenient. The rooms are spacious and equipped with a fridge, bathroom, and comfortable bed. The rooms were nice and the AC was very much needed and appreciated. Rooms had a nice refrigerator. The proprietor provided complimentary shuttle services. It was desperately needed as the location was extremely obscure. He took us down to Sorrento and we called when ready to return. Some of our wait times were 1 hour. Hiking a dirt and stoney trail was out of the question for us. We booked this B&B expecting more than bread and coffee for breakfast. Some mornings we did get some fruit and always got juice. After day 2 I asked if we could have eggs. The wonderful housekeeper asked the proprietor and he agreed to let her prepare basic egg omelettes for us. He seemed annoyed that other guests asked for eggs as well. I think most guests stay only a day or two and just accept a fresh roll, fresh sliced bread and tomato and dry biscuits with coffee. I am an experienced traveler and have never gotten such a sparse breakfast offered when it was included in the cost. The proprietor also offered to book tours for us. His brochure described a boat ride to Caprì that included a drop off at the grand marina with a 4 hr stay in Caprì. He also booked the same tour to 4 young people as a swim and snorkel boat ride. We were stuck on a boat for hours in 96* weather. We never went to the correct port and had less than 2 hours in Caprì. When we expressed our concern the proprietor said nothing. Never even apologized!

What a view!

Our stay was incredible! The view from our perfectly sized room (for 2 people) was exceptional and just about the best in Sorrento. Room was clean and bathroom was nice too. The hotel proprietor Gianluigi was one of the most accomodating hosts we had throughout Italy. Will work day and night to ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible, from Breakfast in the morning, all the way to free taxi pick up’s late at night to avoid the walk up the mountain after a few drinks and dinner! (Yes make no mistake - with a great view comes a very steep road up the mountain - walking down is easy, walking back up, a harder challenge indeed)

Gianluigi made everything easy. The walk is 18 minutes downhill to Sorrento, so his willingness to drive you there and, more importantly, pick you up and bring you back, was key. We had big day trips planned so this worked perfectly for us. Breakfast was delicious with a beautiful outdoor setting. If you plan to do any day trips to Capri or Amalfi, ask him about his travel company - had I known, I would have booked at least one trip with his tour group as their prices were very competitive. Our family of four loved our stay!

WOW, just WOW! This property does not disappoint and the services provided by Gianluigi are phenomenal! The room we stayed in was nice and large and very clean. An added bonus was the larger mini frig. In the room with a little freezer! We stayed in 4 other places in Italy and none of them had a freezer in the frig. No big deal to most, but I could freeze a bag of water and have ice for my ankle! To get the beautiful view, you stay really high up on the side of a mountain. One of the services provided by Gianluigi is the transport up to Casarufolo Paradise, and back down again when you want to go into Sorrento to shop or catch a train. I broke my ankle 9 weeks ago and was in a boot. Gianluigi was so kind and attentive to that and made sure I was ok at the drop off and pick up points. Next is breakfast: WOW again! They have these buns that you will find yourself thinking about later on that day and the best cappuccino! You get to eat your breakfast outside with a view of the beautiful sea and Sorrento. This was the only place during our 2 weeks in Italy that was truly hard to leave. If we ever get to go back to Sorrento, we would definitely stay at Casarufolo Paradise again!

Lovely, Quiet, Beautiful View!

This was such a lovely place to stay! Set up above the town you get a view of the entire bay from the breakfast terrace. We were brave (or maybe a little stupid) enough to hike up from town, it is quite a steep road, but so worth it! Gianluigi offers shuttles up from town in the evenings and it is a true Italian experience going through the tiny streets straight up the side of the hill to the house. Breakfast was wonderful, coffee made to order and delicious local breads. We loved exploring the local area.

Gianluigi was so kind and willing to help us get all our stuff from the train station to the property. Truly a phenomenal view, and the house itself is stunning. Just simply an amazing experience!

Our stay was fantastic! Gianluigi was eager to provide for us specially with transportation from and to the city, ( there is no way to walk up) as well as pick us up from marina when we arrived. He drove us down to the marina at 6am and was happy to do it. One of the most important thing was COMMUNICATION! he answered me on what’s up and also through the app. Eye fast and when we were there, almost instantly . He was amazing, we wished we had stayed more time to enjoy breakfast and the spectacular view of the city and Mediterranean, but we were out every day by 7 going to do things. Truly paradise

This was by far the best vacation we have ever taken. The first day we arrived at the bnb, I remember feeling this extreme warmth inside my heart, something I've never felt before. The sheer beauty of the Italian cliff and the breath taking view of the Sorrento peninsula with Mt Vesuvius in the background. Absolute paradise.

Gianluigi was there for our every need. Serving us a delicious and light breakfast every morning, driving us to the city center in the morning and back to the bnb in the evening, booking for us a trip to the Amalfi coast... Gianluigi is the man.

My only regret is that we didn't stay longer...

If you are looking for a spot away from all the noise and hassle of Sorrento, this is a great location. It is a 25-30 minute downhill walk to the city centre if your knees are in good shape. The return is only for mountain goats but a shuttle service is provide at 9pm and 10pm. However, the meeting point is an out-of-the way church a 15 minute uphill trudge in the dark from the town. Whilst obviously convenient for the host, this is highly inconvenient for guests who are likely tired after a full day. More often than not he would arrive late. Why he would not take an extra minute to drive to a central and well-lit pickup point downtown and make an effort to arrive on time, if not early, is beyond me.

The one and only reason booked here was for the balcony and the spectacular view across the Bay of Naples to Mt. Vesuvius. I pre-paid for five nights but on arrival found that my room had been opportunistically sold off to somebody else. I was forced to spend the first two nights in a spartan ground level room at the back of the house with no balcony and no view.

As the host had already demonstrated he could not be trusted and as he seemed to have little awareness of time (his 10 minutes usually turned out closer to 40 minutes) I had zero confidence in him getting me to the train station early morning to connect with my flight, so I checked out a day early.

A complete and utter disaster and the worst holiday experience I have ever suffered in my 80 years. Caveat emptor.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casarufolo Paradise. Although other reviewers pointed out just how high in the mountains the B&B is, we had to experience it ourselves to fully appreciate the hotel in the clouds. We drove and parked our car upon arrival and let Gian Luiggi and his wife shuttle us up and down the mountain. The view is breathtaking. We walked down into town once during our stay. It was a wonderful walk but one that I wouldn't want to repeat too often. The B&B is a bit rustic but that's part of its charm. Breakfast was basic. We drank cappuccino and ate freshly baked sweet bread and yogurt for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again if we revisit Sorrento.

Highly recommend staying here. We are foreigners on vacation and John Luigi had been so welcoming and so accommodating as a host. The streets leading to casa rufalo are authentic in the sense they required a skilled driver and someone who truly knows the town. At no point during our stay did we feel unsafe. It was also nice to be in a quieter part of town. Every morning we were provided breakfast by another member at the hotel and all we had to do was sit down at the patio/terrace. In regards to transportation, we arrived on a ferry and John Luigi picked us up and drove us all the way up to our stay. All we had to do was call. He showed us how to get to town and where to meet him to get a shuttle back. For those concerned about the walk up and the walk down, we had only had to walk down once (on our own accord) because of how accommodating John Luigi had been. John Luigi not only did this for us, but he did that for ALL guests at casarufalo paradise. I truly cannot recommend this stay enough.

Casa Rufolo was lovely! We enjoyed our 5-night stay very much! House is situated high on mountain with beautiful views. Gianluigi was friendly and an excellent host! Thank You to Gianluigi and friendly staff!

Pros:
Lovely house, clean simple rooms, good hot water shower pressure!
Quiet surroundings with beautiful views.
Gianluigi is very accommodating host. Upon arrival, Gianluigi picks you up from train stain to take you up to house. He has 2 nightly pickups (9/10pm but flexible) at a designated meeting point to go back to house(super necessary!)
Location- Once down from house- (20 min walk down) right in the heart of Sorrento center!
Gianluigi helps with tour arrangements to Amalfi Coast or other destinations.

Cons:
Breakfast! Very minimal breakfast-coffee(just ok)/brioche buns, butter/jelly, juice. Needs more attention to breakfast.
Poor Internet in room.
Evening pickups were a bit early for us (although he was always flexible)

Just Facts:
No Air conditioning- didn’t bother us as it’s was still cool enough end of May, but can't imagine summer months without AC.
Once you leave house, be ready to spend entire day out till evening pick up! (Unless you walk up which must be 40min hike up, or take taxi - which I don’t recommend because of narrow road)
Road to house is narrow and -but Gianluigi is excellent driver. The path downhill to center is about 20 minutes.

He is an amazing host, who picked us up from the Ferry, gave us lifts into town and home again, made great area and restaurant recommendations, and took our bags back into town again when checking out but our train was later on, and is contactable via WhatsApp for queries. It’s a very scenic place, with clean and nice rooms, and free breakfast was provided of bread, olive oil tomatoes, brioche with jams/ Nutella etc, tea coffee and juice. Overall an amazing stay with an amazing host!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casarufolo Paradise. Although it was situated up the hill on a private road, Gianluigi kindly picked us up from the train station and provided excellent assistance throughout. The breakfast selection was somewhat limited, but it was still delightful and made with fresh ingredients. The rooms were pleasant, and the view from the location was simply breathtaking.

Our stay at Casarufolo Paradise was fantastic. Gian Luigi was made to be a host. He is welcoming and entertaining (and will steer you in the right direction for some great dining experiences as well). As other reviewers have pointed out, the road to the hotel is insanely steep and narrow, so you meet with Gian Luigi at 9pm or 10pm at night and he drives you back up. We had one crazy day that ended at 5pm and after which we were just too tired to continue, so called him and he kindly came and got us. He also dropped us off at the train station on the day of our departure. The walk down in the mornings into Sorrento proper was steep and got the heart rate going, which is a great way to start the day (but it's a good idea to have good shoes).

The view at the hotel is breathtaking. You feel like you are at the top of the world. If you don't have plans one night, just do takeaway and get a bottle of wine and sit to enjoy the incredible view of Sorrento and Vesuvius.

The breakfasts are great as well. Brioche the size of your head, fresh bread and Gian Luigi's own olive oil (and the best orange juice I've ever had).

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

To be fair, this property was the only one we could find for the price range where we could park. It's got a nice view, and the rooms & building itself is ok.

But it's perched upon a steep cliff and the road to get there is bendy and very narrow. They kindly offer shuttle service in and out of Sorrento but it would be nice to know that it's inconvenient to access on foot. Nothing on property details suggested anything about the altitude or access so be prepared.

I loved this property, its got a unique charm of a real Italian home, up and away from the crowded, noisy area of Sorrento, so you can enjoy magnificent views of The Bay of Naples..and mountains.
It is however not an easy walk from the town but Gianluigi, is a very kind & helpful taxi service.

A Gem Above Sorrento

What a wonderful experience in the hills over Sorrento! Gliluigi was a wonderful host! He made us feel at home and we enjoyed spending time and having conversation with a hard working, kind and friendly guy. We could tell he’s passionate about his property and his city, encouraging others to enjoy both!
We loved being high about the city with a beautiful view. It was quiet and peaceful. We arrived via rental car and parked free outside the front of the Hilton. Gliluigi met us there and transported us up the hill. What an adventure! :) Our car was safe and better left at the bottom of the hill. I’d recommend the same to others. He was great about picking us up after our outings with just a short notice when we were ready for a ride. I suggest taking food/snacks/drinks up with you from town. We took simple dinners and wine with us and enjoyed a quiet evening overlooking the view. Great way to wind down after busy day driving and sightseeing the area.
. I would definitely return to Sorrento and visit this special place again and highly recommend to others.

What an amazing time, what an amazing place and everything else. Gianluigi is the owner and he is best host. The hotel is 800 meters up a hill so driving a small rental car not a problem. However, walking up and down the hill could be a big challenge for us. Well, its our problem and it was resolved by Gianluigi. He'd go up and down the hill for pick-ups at any time, whenever we need. Good, clean rooms with breakfast served on a terrace overlooking the bay of Naples. Many, many thanks for your hospitality.

We loved our stay at CasaRufolo! We are always interested in properties that are on quiet areas and have views, and this property offered both. It is on the mountain above Sorrento, quiet, and has an amazing of Sorrento and the ocean. And yet you are 5 mns from the center of Sorrento. The owner Gianluigi was very sweet, answered questions promptly and was always helpful. He went out of his way to accommodate us. He also upgraded us to a bigger room.
We highly recommend CasaRufolo and will definitely stay there again next time we return to the south of Italy.

We stayed 5 nights and were a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids aged 10 and 8). We absolutely loved this place. Best view in Sorrento and nice and quiet. The rooms were nicely done and very comfortable and the breakfast was fine. Almost felt like a farmstay (without the animals). What really makes this a very special place is the host GianLuigi (and his wife) for making us feel so welcome. Word of warning - the drive up is not for the fainthearted. I gave up halfway, but GianLuigi will drive you up and will shuttle you into town and back. And he is a very kind, honest and funny man. Ignore all the negative comments you may see in other reviews. This is a gem of a place and we had no problem letting GianLuigi sort out some tours for us. This was a highlight of Italy for us and a very memorable experience.

Beautiful B&B, bad location

This B&B is absolutely gorgeous. However, it’s location is quite terrible when you have so many other options in town. The owner states he will give rides and come pick you up in town if you need, but it’s only 3 times late at night and you’re expected to walk down the mountain (about 2km of treacherous downhill). The room itself was cute, and the views were great but no shutters in the bedroom so you wake up when the sun comes up. There were bugs under the sheets too. And breakfast was average.

Overall, I would say if you’re looking for a spot in Sorrento where you don’t plan on going to town but rather relax and do nothing it’s fine. If any other game plan, stay closer to town.

The view is amazing, just like in the photo. The property is truly a paradise with fruit garden, flower and amazing Sorrento coastal view. It would be perfect if there is air conditioning , but the breeze air is fine. Other than that, it was wonderful.
The owner, Gianluigi is amazing . He goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and have a great vacation. We booked Amalfi coast private boat trip with him and it turn out the best time we had in our 2 weeks vacation. He also arranged airport transportation so we can enjoy our last day without any stress. He is the best. I would give him 10 stars if Expedia allowed me too. I definitely want to be back. Thanks Gianluigi for your hospitality and the best time in Sorrento.

Stunning view. Located up on a hill. The owner was helpful and informed us that he runs a shuttle for guest commuting. However, he made a move on me one night going back to the hostel. He had a scooter that can only take two people, so he asked if he can take my girlfriend back and come back for me in 15 min. I was ok with it. So after he came back for me, he stopped at a lookout point and asked if I want to take a picture, and leaned over tried to kiss me. I pushed him away and it was ok afterwards. It was already dark out when this happened. I was travelling with only one other girlfriend. So this is a WARNING. Be careful if you are two girls or travelling with only females.

My favorite place!

My stay at Casarufolo Paradise was the highlight of my trip! My room was beautiful with an amazing view of the Bay of Napoli, comfy bed, and a squeaky clean bathroom. The place itself and the grounds are beautiful. The breakfast was great, including the fresh bread and estate-grown olive oil. But what made my stay even more delightful was the owner Gianluigi. I didn’t have a car, so hE picked me up at the train station and helped me get back and forth to town. I loved my stay here and look forward to going back.

Lovely and tranquil place about a 40 min walk from main square of Sorrento. Note of how to access the property was not sent until the day after check in. Access to casarufolo paradise was very difficult for our little hire car, almost didn’t make it up the hill as very steep single track dirt road with sharp bends. If we’d received the note on how to access the property before we arrived would have saved a load of stress. The saving grace for this space was the amazing transfer service provided by Gianluigi.

We loved this place! The owner is great, really helpful and lovely. The rooms are excellent with an incredible view of Sorrento, Vesuvio, and the coast. It's a bit of a walk up the hill, but it's so worth it! Plus, the owner runs nightly shuttles from town. Breakfast is great as well, and the view from the breakfast area is unreal. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

What an awesome experience! Gianluigi and his staff were the best. They made themselves available for whatever we needed. He helped us book a last minute tour as well as point us in the direction of great eats and friendly locals. While eating lunch in sorrento, we ran into gianluigi who stopped to make sure the waiter gave us some lemoncello (which was delicious) The B&B is located on a steep mountain which makes for stunning views and a fun car ride. The rooms were as promised and breakfast provided was plentiful. Thank you for a great stay. I would recommend to anyone!

The experience started a little un-easy with a difficult approach to the hotel up a hillside. In the hire car I decided easier to turn around.

If only I knew that the host Gianluigi would have been able to collect me from the bottom of the hill. He greeted us and was a superb host from start to finish. Welcomed us, explained the area, offered us drinks - everything we needed.

The bedroom was large, clean, and had amazing views out over the town of Sorrento below. It was breathtaking and the photographs do not lie!

Late at night we decided to remain in the hotel and asked for some beers, and were gifted a bottle of homemade wine which was delicious.

In the morning we were greeted with breakfast being prepared, and an offer of a lift back down the 800m narrow hillside to our car - I gave Gianluigi a nice tip to thank for the hospitality and wine.

A true gentleman.

Beautiful B&B perched in the mountain.

Gianluigi is a gem. Took us up and down to and from the Centro. He offers the service at night at 9, 10 and 11 so that you do not have to climb back in the dark.

Nice breakfast outside under a rooftop with an EXQUISITE view!

Our place was very spacious with a large kitchen/seating area and a separate bedroom + full bathroom.

Would definitely go back.

Beautiful view - worth it for short stay

It is a beautiful view from up at the hotel and it feels far away from the touristy chaos of town centre.

It is tough to get to, but there is a shuttle run 3 times an evening and, if requested and the owner is available, extra runs to and from town if desperate. This isn't guaranteed though and you need to be prepared to stay out ALL day until 9pm (time of the first shuttle). I don't think that's a problem if you're there for lots of exploring and don't mind getting sweaty. If you're someone that likes to go back and freshen up at the hotel before dinner, this perhaps isn't quite for you. Also, I highly recommend for short stays of about 4 or 5 nights. Not sustainable for a longer stay.

The room with sea view is beautifully maintained and simple but clean. It gets stuffy in the summer with no air con. But the view...! Beautiful.

Breakfast service is good and extremely tranquil! It lacks variation - mostly croissant and yoghurt every morning - although we were surprised with some homemade pomodoro one morning and also an omelette.

Can't say enough about how helpful the owner Gianluigi is. He works very very hard to please his guests. We really enjoyed it stay here and would stay again perhaps for a short stop over of a night or two.

I read all the reviews before coming here and even thought I saw a few complaints, I decided to book this place. We stayed here for two nights as a couple, and it was great !

The owner is extremely helpful - helped us take the car up to the hotel and down to the city each time we needed it. We still went down once by walk and it was a nice one. One night, we decided to come back by walk even if the owner offers to pick us up around 10 pm to bring us back to the hotel. It was not easy but we had fun :).

We had a complete breakfast on a beautiful terrace with AMAZING view !!! The room was a great size and clean with a big bathroom. The owner also recommended us some excurtions that we enjoyed :).

I would recommend to people that would enjoy a quite place surrounded by nature, but close to the city center !

This hotel is in the middle of no where. You drive up a goat path to get there very difficult drive with any thing other then a scooter. The host is very nice and will Drive you to Sorrento and bring you back as many times as you please.You are totally reliant on him. No restaurant at the hotel so you must go to Sorrento.The hotel building is very interesting but as a hotel it is more of a youth hostel.Our room was under the owners living quarters and we could hear every foot step. We never met the hosts wife. We had paid for two nights but left after one. Do not stay at this hotel. Venere should be ashamed for recommending this place that should have been closed for the season. I will not be using Venere in the future.

Good points; Big room, good double bed, good big and warm shower, fridge included in the room. Shuttle service at 9 & 10pm each evening by the owner. Decent breakfast but no other option that cornflakes, packaged italian toast, croissant & yoghurt.

Bad points; We were not given a room with a balcony view as promised in the booking (this was the case for another couple there too). I forgot about this until after so didn't raise it or comment on the owner's action on this. The B&B is about another 500 meters up a ridiculously tight and steep road than what it shows on the map. Not suitable to drive up in anything bigger than a Fiat 500. This also makes the walk into town a minimum of 35 minutes, not 15 minutes as stated on the site. Walking back up is not for everyone, especially at night in the dark which is why it is good the shuttle service is there.

Nice place in an extremely peaceful location but I wouldn't stay again.
