Struttura molto molto datata, le camere sono da una stella, non c’è reception, quindi nessun servizio o assistenza in caso di necessità. All’ingresso ci sono degli armadietti per depositare i bagagli A PAGAMENTO quando potrebbero essere gratuiti per gli ospiti dato che tutte le strutture offrono questo servizio, e funzionano solo con una moneta da 2 Euro, sebbene ci sia scritto non è comunque molto chiaro ma fate attenzione a questa cosa perche noi abbiamo buttato 6 euro inserendo il medesimo importo ma a monete da 1 euro pensando fosse la stessa cosa.
L’unica cosa positiva è la posizione anche se si trova in un vicolo molto buio di sera con un odore molto sgradevole di immondizia e pipí.
Non alloggerei nuovamente in questa struttura

The location, directly in the old town of Valencia, is ideal to discover the city. Restaurants and shops are just around the corner.
The hotel is in a small alley, which isn`t nice. During daylight the sign of the hotel is hardly recognisable. The entrance looks uninviting. Check-in works via email or WhatsApp. The reception is only open for a few hours in the morning.
Our room was quite small. Just enough space for a 140cm wide bed and a little desk. But the bathroom was super roomy instead.
First we were a bit dissapointed but in the end we liked the location and the facilities were clean.
Also the interactive check-in and check-out was working well.

The location is superb. Almost perfect. The modern check in using a code sent by WhatsApp was super convenient and easy to use. I did not see any check in staff as there are none. The entry into the property and room was seamless. A great place to stay.

Great choice for old town

The hotel is located off a main shoppi g street, which was a lot less busy and less well lit making it appear sketchy but once inside it was a great little hotel. Excellent location for all old town stops. Friendly service. Really clean room. All around a really great choice for our stay in Valencia

Not keen on the \"let yourself in\" approach

Unfortunately if I'd have realised earlier that this was a \"let yourself in\" accommodation I wouldn't have booked it. I find it very impersonal and quite un-nerving especially when in a foreign country. I go on holiday to get away from the administration and stress of my job and it felt like I was doing someone else's job for them. Check-in required you to agree to terms and we were requested to send photos of our ID's by email which I was very unhappy about. In this day and age protecting your personal information is a priority and sending information by email is hardly secure. That said the accommodation was very nice, in a quiet enough back street and very central to the main attractions. Valencia is an amazing city with lots to see and do but I'll be looking for a more personal touch the next time I book an accommodation. It tainted the whole holiday experience.

Booked only because it’s located in the old town. Building is old, facilities out dated, ceiling so low, not clean enough.. Open the bathroom window you’ll see the next building being demolished or abandoned.. Not worth the money I’d say. Staff only available online, and they even charge 2 euro to deposit luggage if you arrive earlier.

We had a fairly basic small room, but it was perfectly fine for our needs. The staff were helpful and it was clean and safe. The location doesn’t get any better, really amazing. It lacks any nice views or immediate nice side roads, our room was opposite some apartments so no privacy, but that didn’t matter too much as we were out and about for most of the time. We would recommend for a budget option but not if you wanted a little more luxury or nice views.

A fine place to stay during Fellas.

Don't expect there will be anyone at the desk - they are only there is the morning. That said, the hotel will get you instructions on your phone (so buy a data plan for Europe because you'll need it). This place is well located, with many places to walk to. It is off a dark alley, not giving a feeling of being unsafe - just dark - and people tend to park their car in front of the door. It is just a single door entry off the alley. The elevator was slow so we mostly walked up the stairs and the place has these motion sensitive lights that are often delayed making the hallways dark as well. We were there during Fellas in March and did not find the street noise too bothersome - since there is just random fireworks on Vitoria (the alley).

We forgot to contact the desk before our arrival and it was closed. We called the number by the door and were greeted by a wonderful lady named Gloria. She immediately sent us codes for the front door and our room and within minutes we were in. We met Gloria in person the next day and she was delightfull. Thanks Gloria. The place is fully renovated and modern. Perfect location, just 3 minutes walking to the historic center and the central market plaza. Highly recommend.

The property was renovated and in a location in the center or Valencia, just a short walk off the main square in the historic district. Lots of shopping and dining option close by. Fantastic location in a great city.

My tired 11yo daughter and I loved this place. We'd been travelling a fair bit and this room was a joy to find. Our room was already cool in preparation and absolutely IMMACULATE. Actually faultless, large and airy, very modern and effective fixtures, fittings etc. Quality bedding, very quiet internally but well situated for restaurants, shopping and transport. We walked everywhere and the main train station is probably less than 10m.
If you want to go anywhere by train I'd suggest booking online to save faffing at the station.

We're coming back to Valencia again very soon and I hope to book Host and Home again. Definitely recommend to anyone.

This property uses auto-check-in: pass codes for the front door and room. First time experience for me. I was suppose to get a message with the codes before I arrived, but didn’t. So some confusion there. But once you know the routine, you can bypass a front desk wait and go directly to your room.

The place is fantastic, well located, and the rooms are beautiful. In fact, it is the second time that I stay here. My only recommendation is that given that there is no reception service between 14:00 hrs and 10:00 am, it'd be great if they had a vending machine in the first floor with soda, water, beer, and wine. I wanted to have some water at around 3:00 am cause I could not sleep and there was nothing to buy in the hotel nor stores open nearby. This vending machine will increase revenue for the hotel and add convenience for the people who stay there.

Great location central to old town. It’s a pretty basic setup and ok for a night or two, but due to the strong smell of sewer in my room and some very dusty surfaces, I wouldn’t stay longer. The halls were also dark and I needed to use my phone light to navigate when I returned at night.

Good location, very helpful staff, clean room. We didn't like the black wallpaper, but loved the brick wall. The shower was good, but the shampoo sachets were too small and very difficult to open. Great that there was a kettle, but even when it was changed it was still usable due to the absolutely terrible smell inside the kettle, it had been washed out with something very nasty. Maybe get stainless steel kettles rather than plastic.

The appartement was very damp and humid, had only a little window to a very dirty inside court.
When I arrived, I called to ask if it was possible to get another room and was told it was my fault, as I was the one to have chosen the room online. I never picked a room that was humid!
So they offered to give me another room, at extra cost. they would never want to realize it was their issue that this room was terrible and not the guest's!

This place is excellent value for money. Situated down an unprepossessing pedestrian side street, it is in the heart of Valencia old town. While reception is only open from 11.00 to 15.00 and check-in in person from 14.00 to 15.00, they have a very clever \"virtual check-in\" process which issues the guest with a 4 digit code for the front door and another for their room. Very clean, with a small desk and kettle and coffee. The walk in shower is very roomy. I would stay here again.

Centrally located property with easy self check in, room was clean and so was linen. I had no problem at all at the property but be mindful that the reception is closed most of the time so if you are of the types who phone reception for everything or like room service, then the lack of human touch there may bother you but it worked for us.

Good choice!

I found the location to be excellent, smack in city centre. This hotel/hostel is very clean and the rooms and bathroom are a good size. This does not come with a pool, gym, etc but its absolutely fine with me as we spent more time outdoors and its excellent for someone who is looking for a clean, central place to stay.

2 Quick complaints--it was really cold and drafty in the room--colder than it was outside, and there was no thermostat to modify the temperature.

also, the cleaning lady came one day, said something in a language we couldn't understand and walked off. she was very unpleasant.

otherwise, easy access, clean, safe, and I would book it again. maybe just not in winter!

Super way to check in with door codes given prior to arrival. If you need a lot of attention-

Taxi driver took us straight there although it might be hard to find on your own. Friendly and helpful reception. Access by code so very easy. Room was small but very well equipped. Hot water and cold air con. Probably the best position for exploring the old town. Surrounded by cafes, bars and restaurants. We would recommend this place very highly.

A quiet nights sleep at Host and Home.

Location is brilliant although the taxi driver couldn't find it on his sat nav so perhaps giving the name of the street where guests should be dropped off would be helpful.
Our room was quite small, but the bathroom surprisingly big. Situated up a narrow side street meant that it was quiet at night which is a bonus in the city centre.
The hotel smelled fresh and clean whenever you entered the secure entry system which bodes well, however, the shutters in our room were very dusty and we asked for them to be cleaned. The friendly and helpful receptionist took our comments on board and the dusting was done later that day. The room had been decorated with thought and style but some things require attention eg. the toilet seat was wobbly, the sink didn't drain very well and our bedcover had a tear in it. Small things, but they do add up to the general impression that this gem of a hotel requires some TLC now in order to maintain the high standards it obviously had when it opened.

I am walking the Camino de Santiago. My stay in Valencia Host and Home was just right. The checking in was simple and easy, my hostess was very accommodating and ready to respond to all my questions/ emails about where to eat and what busses to catch. She could not have been kinder.
The place is perfectly situated, in a great part of the city, I was sorry to leave.

This place is a hidden gem! Super nice, clean and modern decor. Checking in and out was a breeze and the front desk lady was so very nice. We seriously regret not booking more nights there as the room was super nice and comfortable. Also as a side note, we highly recommend a restaurant right next door, the name is Mata Hari. It looks like a hole in the wall but it’s the best food we’ve had in Valencia!

Great place for a quick break

We were two friends in Valencia for a weekend break and had a wonderful time! The location is perfectly central, the room was clean, cosy and did not feel like the traditional hotel room which tend to be a bit sterile. It was more like a mini studio :) The shower is amazing btw! Definitely recommend.
