As someone who is super picky about cleanliness this place was top-notch especially the restroom. I love the shower. Also the staff was super helpful and attentive. Haven’t had a chance to visit the bar, but I’m sure it was super cute. Arlo‘s are my place to stay wherever I go.

The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, the elevator system is very efficient, and the location is great. We were able to easily walk to the sites and restaurants. Our room was quite small. The parking garage is less than a block from the hotel, was clean and secure, and the parking rate was discounted because we stayed at the hotel. For the high cost of the stay, breakfast should be included.

We were charged fees even though we paid already through Expedia. We were told the water was complimentary but realized it was actually one of the \"fees.\" The urban fee totaled $40 extra a day for WiFi, daily bike usage (which we did not need, the fitness center, rooftop bar - which was actually closed both nights for private events and the \"complimentary\" water. The hotel info said that parking was $25 a day, but the first day they could not pay the garage for us for the $25 because the garage system was down. When we paid ourselves it was only $20 at the garage. The second day we were charged $29 dollars for parking by the hotel. There were also perks that we were not made aware of such as free lattes at the coffee shop. When we talked with the staff about all of the fees that we were not made aware of until checkout, they simply said they were sorry and offered us a free latte. The hotel itself was nice and clean, we were just not expecting to pay an additional $86 on top of paying for taxes and fees through Expedia.

Very new and modern hotel. Nice front staff. Clean and comfort bed and pillows. Great location to the National Mall and Chinatown. Easy and safe underground parking in modern office building with in and out (best rate). Breakfast fresh and cooked to order(best value if you booked with the hotel booking process). Rooftop bar with beautiful night views.

Had high hopes for this new to me hotel. Sadly for the price I didn't see the value: walls were thin; black out shades were not cut to size leaving large gaps for light; coffee pot was broken; electrical sockets didn't work - leaving my phone uncharged and me on short power for a very long day in the city; promises of an Arlo yoga mat went unfulfilled when the house keeping member handed me additional coffee pods and said \"we don't have the mats.\"
There's great potential, but not sure I'll return given the multiple shortcomings.

Staying at the Arlo over Easter weekend STOOD OUT as our best stay this year. It was genuinely higher end and simultaneously a good value. The decor, room finishes, amount of space was 10/10. The staff was above and beyond nice. Don’t waste time anywhere else, just stay here and enjoy.

The hotel was in a great location and the decor and room was wonderful.

The staff unfortunately was chaos personified. No one communicated amongst themselves and time after time we were told one thing by one manager, another by this person and so on, resulting in room moves, our luggage not being brought to the room, double deposits paid, issues with the parking, you name it. My requests to speak to a manager were never answered.

The property has great vibe with modern interiors and excellent location in the heart of downtown DC. It is in walking distance to top rated restaurants, museums and lots of other monuments, famous government buildings. The hotel is super well maintained with spot free premises, high speed elevators and welcoming staff.

The hotel has great decor, and the room was big and well appointed with a fantastic view - but the service was patchy, and the hotel’s overuse of tech and AI in favour of actual service was genuinely annoying.

For example:

We arrived about 8pm after a long flight from abroad (with a young child) and after asking how to sort dinner, I was told on check-in that the room service wasn’t operating that night (with no explanation or apology). Dragging a jet lagged child to the restaurant wasn’t feasible, but I was offered no solutions, and when I asked if I could use Ubereats or similar, I was told I could but would need to collect it myself from the lobby (less than ideal with a sleepy child - this is definitely not a hotel staffed by people who understand children). Once it was delivered, I asked the hotel for crockery, cutlery and glassware and was only able to reach an AI answering service, so I ended up running around the hotel’s bar and cafe to collect whatever I could find - which was basically only flimsy, unusable disposable plastic ware.

On our second morning I attempted to order breakfast room service, which has to be done through a QR code with no ability to engage with a human, and has to be paid for by credit card rather than charged to the room. I was told there was an error and after clicking on the notification several times I realised it had charged my card 5 times - and the food didn’t even arrive! It was only after I phoned the front desk anything was done

The hotel itself very clean and stuff very friendly. Great location, however we did not get room cleaning. When I called around 7pm with the concern they said they will send the service right away. We left and when came back to find out only the towels were left next to the sink. We did not get any regular service like replenishing coffee, emptying garbage or making the bed. In addition we were looking forward to room service however it was unavailable for staffing reasons. We cannot help but feel we were short changed in our experience at Arlo hotel.

Clean Room, nice coffee shop. Didn’t eat at either restaurant as we ate out the whole week. Staff was kind and friendly! Never had to ask for a towel & rooms were cleaned daily! Loved the do not disturb switch to turn off and on while we were in the room-comfy Beds! As a family of 4 the smaller rooms with a large city view were a tight squeeze so we called and were upgraded to a larger room at no extra fee! Beware that there is not very much storage space if you are an unpacker like us! One closet, no drawers. Great location but bring a noise machine or ear plugs as you can hear hallway noise and outside noise clearly. Also BEWARE of the $35 URBAN FEE added on top of your rated. Staying for a week that added up and we were not told about this upfront. That is my only issue but we will stay here again! Parking fee is $25 per night but they also add tax separate on everything -still cheaper to park here than other areas!

Hotel was clean tastefully decorated. Hotel rooftop bar had lot of options of drinks and drinks were delicious but was quite expensive, $22 a drink. Hotel gym was clean and wide variety of options for equipment. The offered cool eucalyptus towels for after workout which was a nice treat. The rooftop pool was unfortunately not open yet during my stay. My only complaint was the $35 urban fee per night. The fee included two cans of water and for half of the nights of our stay I had to go to the front desk to remind them that we didn’t get our water for the day. There was a small cafe that had coffee and prepackaged snacks in the lobby but it was super expensive so I didn’t get anything. It is open till 10pm. There is also a breakfast places in the lobby open 7-10am I did not try it due to an allergy but it looked nice. Staff was friendly and helpful my whole stay.

I was given room keys to someone else’s room. When we tried to open the door, the key worked, but door was manually locked and there was someone already inside

After switching to correct room, the hotel forgot to take down my card to cover incidentals. So what did they do to get me down to put down my card? Just locked me out of my room altogether to get me to come to the front desk

The hotel was great/beautiful. But the way things were handled were the opposite.

Clean rooms, nice bathroom but no place to put any tolietries. Also no place to hang full length clothing- there was a bureau of sorts in the room with only a short space to hang items. Hotel in good walking location for visiting Capitol Hill or national mall, though not super close to many restaurants, and the restaurant in the hotel was only open for breakfast. Lobby on the small side but nice sitting area just off lobby. At check in, no one explained the extra deposit nor what was included / covered by the ‘resort fee’; we only learned about some of these ‘perks’ the next day when someone else checked in, and we were standing near the lobby desk. The roof top bar/lounge was unfortunately closed while we were there. Coffee shop in the lobby was a nice touch though pricey and a long wait. Overall a nice hotel but few amenities.

The location of this property cant be beat. It was within walking distance of everything and had plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is beautiful and well maintained. My only issue was with the miscommunication between the front desk and housekeeping. I could ask the front desk for something, ex water, and housekeeping wouldnt bring it or would bring something else instead. I would def stay here again while visiting.

The rooms were very clean, and the staff was very accommodating to additional needs. It struck us as old that the bedding did not have a top sheet, just the duvet. It was nice that we could set the room's temperature and fan speed.

The restaurant's menu was upscale and not very family-friendly; it could use a few more kid-friendly dishes.

In a restaurant, if you charge a meal to the room, you get a discount. Even though the same pastry items were sold in the restaurant and the cafe, you did not receive a discount at the cafe.

Great price and location on parking, and it was wonderful that they offered in/out privileges. Do not purchase parking online through third-party apps. Arlo offers a much better deal.

This hotel was pristine every single staff member was extra nice. It was extremely clean. They thought of every little detail & upgraded my room for only five dollars. The parking garage across the street looked brand new inside. There were tons of spaces. It was only $25 for 24 hours. And the area of the hotel was in on a Saturday and Sunday was basically desolate because they were all federal buildings so nobody was working so it was super quiet but was within walking distance of everything in DC that you would want. They also had a nice art event in the rooftop bar on Saturday night, which was a nice surprise and they were able to sell me a bottle of wine after hours from the bodega would highly recommend booking this hotel!!!!

I had an exceptional time at this hotel. They were very accommodating with my arrival time and exceeded my expectations of friendliness and hospitality. This is one of the best experiences I had at a hotel in Washington D.C. and the room sizes were great. Would definitely stay here again. One thing I would add, please put recycling bins in the lobby.
