Really liked this hotel in comparison to the other hotel my friends stayed at. It was spacious. There are no black out curtains so bring a mask and the bed was on the firmer side. The staff was friendly, professional and prompt with requests and when there was a noise complaint. Would stay here again!

The heat did not work in the room properly. The air conditioning kept turning on once the heat got to set temperature. At 5:00 in the morning the heat then started to make a horrific noise like it was a train on tracks. I told the front desk and no response except ok… here is your bill.
Also the restaurant is closed on Sundays.
Not sure will stay here again.

Kind staff, from the woman who checked us in and gave us the quiet room we asked for (not that any might have necessarily been less than quiet, but she gave us a top floor accommodation), to the kind bellboy who helped with my bag and the lobby door on our way out when it was obvious that I wasn’t in a position to provide a tip.
The room was super clean and very comfortable and the location was a quick few blocks from both 95 and the train station. Lots of places to eat nearby as well.
And while not inexpensive, this hotel, when compared to other nearby accommodations, provided a really good value in our opinion.

The room was clean, modern and the bed was comfortable, however it was one of the smallest rooms I've seen in a hotel. For a standard queen room it, it had a bed and a bathroom and very little room space for anything else. When I asked for the cost of an upgraded room the front desk told me a price then placed me on hold for about 5-10 mins saying they need to get \"permission\" to sell me the upgraded room. It also stated free parking on the site, but then they charge $30 plus tax for valet parking when you arrive.

I did not have breakfast there. The rooms were clean and the interior was modern and great. There was barely any sound insulation, I could hear a lot of different types of sounds coming from the outside and other rooms particularly moving furniture in the morning. I had to turn off the AC since it was so loud and the fridge made this awful humming sound. The staff was courteous enough to switch my rooms but unfortunately the same noise issues persisted.

The hotel is very contemporary and has refreshing, relaxed decor. But the handles on the bathroom vanity have very sharp edges, and it's hard to lean over the sink without snagging clothing or bumping into the handle. You might want to look into that.

Nice boutique hotel in the heart of Stamford. Very small room, however, and small bathroom but very well appointed. Nice towels and bedding. Nespreso coffee maker made lukewarm coffee but they have a cafe on 1st floor with better choices for coffee. Parking behind on Bell street cheaper than valet.

Fantastic team with phenomenal service. I really appreciate the fact that the rooms have floors versus carpet. Super clean. They allow pets but not cats which is difficult as I regularly travel to town for Cornell Vet services with my cat and have to stay elsewhere. Otherwise would stay here ever time.

Ridiculous - Blackout shade too small for window!

We have stayed at a Tapestry hotel before and appreciate the updated rooms. This room was very nice; however, the blackout shade on the window was smaller than the window! We woke up with the sun this morning after a late night. This was ridiculous. How does a hotel know the importance of a blackout shade but not realize the shade being too small for the window will essentially not serve its purpose of blocking out the light. Seriously? This is hotel basics 101.

I called to complain and the hotel manager told me they will be changing the curtains in the future. This is nice but did nothing to satisfy me given the early morning wake up.

For this reason, I strongly advise people stay away from this hotel unless you have an early wake up the next morning.

The only negative was the coffeemaker in the room. We had 2 rooms, each room had 8 coffee pods and hey were all decaf coffee. I called Housekeeping and they did not have any caffeinated coffee pods, but I was able to order a pot of coffee to the room

It would have been excellent if there was a little more light and a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. Also, if valet parking was not so expensive at $30 per night. We chose the self park at a garage behind the hotel which was $1 per hour since we only needed about 9 or 10 hours. There was construction getting around streets which made it more difficult. The room was very comfortable and modern.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and for the area, this is probably the cleanest hotel and decent for the price point.
What is hard for me to accept was no parking and the amount charged for valet. This makes the hotel extremely inconvenient with parking and accessible to the car as the parking garage is in the back of the building for a separate fee.
Upon arrival, it is hard to tell what to expect from the hotel, as valet is out front typically and when we arrived there was no one there to assist. We weren’t greeted until we physically were facing the front desk which is odd since the front desk faces the entrance of the hotel. Staff is friendly, but asking for things felt a bit uncomfortable.
We had consistent trouble with our key malfunction several times through out our time here and needed new keys 3 times. Which felt like a hassle because we were on the 8th floor and had to wait outside/called to have someone fix it.
On our first day we called for valet to bring out our car in advance, and when we went downstairs we had to ask for the car to be pulled up again.
The cafe staff and food was good, just not enough variety and it is very pricey especially for convenience.
Other than the items listed, if this doesn’t bother you, it’s a nice stay as the rooms are kept pretty clean— just consider that they are small rooms.

Not good enough

The hotel was comfortable, but we had no TV reception. The picture was either pixilated beyond watchable or we got a screen message generally stating - network not connected. We had someone come to fix it for us, and it worked momentarily though the network we wanted was still unavailable. After a few minutes, the picture was pixilated again, and reduced to color bars again. I think we are owed a credit of the balance for the lack of TV
viewing that should be provided in the room.
