This hotel was a joy to stay in. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, the bathroom even has a smart toilet! The restaurant is A++. The staff: delightful. We stayed during a snowstorm and they even cleared the car off for us. I can't recommend this hotel enough. Just loved it.

We spent a week here with two dogs and somehow it was not a nightmare. The room was quite large and carpet-free which is a good thing with pets. The beds were a bit too hard, the pillows excellent. The thermostat is over-engineered and incomprehensible. Great shower. Badly-placed light switches. And the free breakfast was not a high point.

So, if I have some complaints, why five stars? Two things: the vibe. I know that's vague, but JHouse has a great vibe. And second: Tony's restaurant. 5 meals and not a step wrong. The staff is professional and motivated. The food is excellent as is the bar. It's a fun place. Long years ago I waited tables and I'd have liked to work at Tony's. My sole complaint? The soup spoon was too small and I wanted that lobster bisque in my mouth faster.

Add a bakery right across the street, a gourmet food store, a pet store a block away, and all the Autumn colors in November. In all, a lovely experience.

Fun and funky this mid-century modern feeling boutique Hotel had a wonderful manager on premises to really navigate a few of small bumps that we ran into. We were a little bit, disappointed in the on property restaurant, but that was easily remedied. Fun and funky with a wonderful outdoor pool. I highly recommend this hotel. The only small negative for us was the toilet was very loud so if one of us was sleeping and decided to use the loo, we were short to wake up or sleeping partner as the toilet revved up and the fan kicked on and it flushed automatically so make sure you’re on the same peace schedule with your sleeping partner if this bothers you.

Unique property (was a Howard Johnson's) but despite overdone \"artsy\" modern overhaul, still musty and strange room configuration (bathroom is a glass-walled box in the room). Very dark and odd room lighting. Food was pricey for its quality and lacked sophistication. Some food was frankly unappealing. Bar was dead on a Saturday night in summer. Most patrons seemed to be visiting for nearby/on site family events. Free continental breakfast was bare minimum, unsuitable for those with carb restrictions. Spa was good overall. Interesting weekend experience but would not return.

The property tries really hard to be unique. And in some areas (a free glass of champagne at check in), they almost succeed. But overall, it’s a standard 3 star hotel, that’s fairly well maintained, in an overpriced market. And when I say overpriced, this hotel is. It’s a nice stay, but should be priced at roughly 50-60% what it is.

We really enjoyed out stay at the J House. The hotel itself is very modern and very \"techy\" with all the different switches for sun shades, dark-out shade and lighting. I will say they missed with not having enough outlets near bed. Only one side had the outlets, clock and lighting controls on it. The other side had nothing but a shelf next to it for water bottle or something. Loved the \"privacy\" light instead of a door hang that gets knocked off. The little chocolates and bottles of water in your room daily is a nice touch.

The continental breakfast was fine and they also had extra options you could purchase if you wanted something different. The restaurant on site is extremely good but also extremely pricey, especially for drinks.

Used the J Spa while there and that was excellent too!

The only 2 things that were really negatives was how cold the elevator was. It was like being outside it was that cold (and our stay was January during a really cold/snowy time) and that the shower showed signs of mold at the bottom where it met the floor and corners. Could use a heavier clean in the shower.

I liked pretty much everything about the hotel except some of the more modern aspects. For example, the automated toilet seat kept opening and closing with every slight movement near it. Also, not sure what those grayed out spots were in the middle of the mirrors but they made it hard to do makeup, etc. Other than that I really liked the decor and the beds were very comfortable. Staff was excellent and the food and drink were well done also.

Well appointed rooms overall. Location Is convenient, pool was great. Only thing working against it is that you are on I 95- can’t see it but you can hear it from the pool, not our room. Food is great, service and staff were great. Got an earlier check in which we loved.

The many buttons took me awhile to figure out. The room temperature was NOT easily changed.
The shower needed recaulked and regrouped but was minor. Overall very nice. Wish we had time to try out the spa which is very nice to have handy.

We really enjoyed our stay at the J House. The hotel staff is friendly and the facility is very clean. You’ll see the staff cleaning throughout the day. Mopping and wiping down high touched surfaces. I also appreciate the continental breakfast starting at 6:30am on weekdays. We traveled with our toddler and he is up before the sun. There is a restaurant and coffee bar conveniently located in the lobby. They also offered snacks in the afternoon by the coffee bar. We spent most of our time at the pool. They had loungers, umbrellas, outdoor play area to keep my toddler busy and pool side food service. My only minimal complaint is the lawn mowers mowing outside by the pool area so all the debris and dust flew onto us as we were lounging by the pool. Overall a great stay. For dining options we drove about 12 minutes to Greenwich Ave where the options were endless.

My sister & I celebrated my birthday by doing an overnight trip to Connecticut. We stayed at the J House Greenwich, booked a show at the Comedy Club, and had brunch at Tony’s at the J House.

Upon hotel arrival we were greeted by the nicest hotel staff and complimentary Prosecco.
Our room was ready a bit earlier than check in time. The room was absolutely fabulous!! Incredible clean (I’m very OCD with the cleanliness of hotel rooms and usually end up cleaning everything down to feel comfortable)…NOT HERE, I did not feel like I had to clean a thing, I immediately felt comfy-cozy, refreshed, and at home.
The room was super up-to-date with in-room tech controls (e.g., blinds and lights), updated mirror tv & apps, smart tv in bathroom mirror, and a modern bidet with heated seat & dryer setting. Also a very clean shower with great water pressure. The decor in the room and throughout the hotel was hip & chic…a really cool vibe.

Everyone who worked at the hotel was unbelievable kind and super cool! Thanks to Catherine, Emma, Abraham, and Luis for making the best stay ever and such a great birthday! They truly went above and beyond to make us feel so special!
We had brunch at Tony’s, which is an absolutely stunning restaurant. Great service, food, and drinks. We stopped at the bar on three separate occasions and all experiences were great, again, great atmosphere, service, food & drinks!
We felt so welcomed by the friendly atmosphere at the J House Greenwich-will be back for sure!

The HVAC system is way overcomplicated. Maint. Personnel was requested 3 times - never warmed up in our suite. Valet service totally ignored us when we went to get our vehicle - 3 workers were there at the time - no one helped us. We got tired of waiting and used our extra key and went on our way - they did not even notice our car was gone until the next day when I requested my key back. They were quite confused. The menu in our room was only for the lunch menu apparently. We were in a hurry and called for food to be delivered to our room. We were told we could only order from the dinner menu. When I explained that I was ordering from the only menu in our room - I was treated rather rudely by the hostess. No recycle containers in the room and the dish washer had a foul odor - stagnant water - when it was opened.
I travel a lot for my business - Overall - the worst experience I have had with a supposedly luxury hotel. My room cost was over $500.00 for the night. Very poor value. Will never go back to this facility.
