Room and hotel was clean, bed comfortable. It was nice to have a makeup mirror. On the first morning the breakfast was terrible, hardly any food and only instant coffee, however on 2nd day everything was good, so I don't know what happened the first day. When I checked in there were no washclothes in the room. I asked the front desk if house keeping could deliver some however I never got any until the 2nd day when housekeeping did the morning clean.

Do not stay here. Smoke smell in hallway. No toilet paper or holder for it. 4 minutes just for hot water for shower. Breakfast was the worse. No coffee. Ask to refill machine took her time came back about 10 minutes. No bread just bagels. Cold eggs. Limited fresh fruit left. This was all at 8:15 am

Everything was great! The awsthetic of the hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean and the staff ia so friendly! The Ricotta restaurant is great, and would definitely recommend staying here.

The room was ok but the walk to get there from the only set of elevators was quite a long one, especially carrying bags.

It also doesn't help when the fire alarm goes off at 12:30am! There were no instructions or updates from hotel staff about what was going on or what to do. Didn't get much sleep that night.

We were checked in to the room and only found out after making our way to the 3rd floor. We then had to go back to the elevator with our luggage and wait in line to get the correct room and then go BACK to the 3rd floor and find our room. The numbering system on this floor.is wack and we had to walk a pretty long way from the elevator to our room

Overall the hotel was decent but if like me you have any sensitivy to the toxic chemicals in perfumes, be warned they use a super strong perfumed air freshener in all rooms and you have no ability to open a window. This gave me a headache from the second I checked in that didn’t go away. The staff was mediocre-to-lazy in terms of service. I found myself a couple occasions (including check in at 6pm) waiting at the front desk with no one there. The person was on their cellphone once with a friend and continued talking loudly to the friend throughout their entire conversation with me. The whole lobby had the air of a large casino or resort lobby that had been partially abandoned. The breakfast buffet was nice. The location was convenient for where I needed to be. They have a gigantic garage but the parking costs money.

I was freezing in the room even when i had it on 78.
technician fixed it but still didn't go any higher than 68 max. I told him that hot water isn't working and he told me to leave the hot water on for 6 minutes to get it warmed up. What a waste of water and time to get a warm water.
I reserved it for three days but left next day. Don't go there if you don't want to freeze and wait 6 minutes to get warm water.

Room was clean and quiet. Inconvenient elevators (only set was on one side- long walk to/from room to elevators). Breakfast minimal- old salmon, vegetables, fruit/yogurt, and hard boiled eggs. No breads or muffins and no hot choices. Staff lukewarm- not unfriendly but not particularly welcoming…

Checked in, front desk personnel was pleasant.The lobby was beautiful. Went upon to my room on the 5th floor. Room was the furthest point in hotel.I was exhausted and looked forward to sleep. Peeled back the linens to find they were soiled.Stains & body hair on linens. I pulled back bed cover and found bugs! Called the front desk.They offered another room. No Thank you.With more maintenance and updating and responsible staff to properly clean,this hotel could be something special.I will not be returning.

Stayed for 2 nights. Solid hotel. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was standard and good. In and out self park for reasonable fee. Didn't get to use the pool or game room, so can't comment on those. Note that this hotel is a great for religious Jews - kosher restaurant, key locks on the room doors for Shabbat, Shabbat friendly lights in the room, a shul, a mikvah.

Horrible experience. Unfortunately, I did not check the reviews before arriving. Front desk is unprofessional, rude and incompetent. The place is a“fancy” one star motel. If they put you in the rooms that were used by the old hotel it will be cold and seems that nothing has been used or changed in years. Had to change my room twice because the room was cold, bath/shower bottles were broken and tv did not have volume. Also, good luck finding your room it’s basically a maze and no adequate room signs. Imagine having to experience that after a long day traveling. Pay the extra money and go elsewhere!!!

Breakfast was good, if only cold apart from the coffee and some scrambled eggs. But good choice of fruits and vegetables.
Some staff at reception desk need to be a lot more engaging with the costumers, jawning I'm my face whilst talking to me just isn't on. Also, no apologies for having our keys deactivated halfway through the stay. Buy overall a good hotel.

You mostly get what you pay for. The rooms are overall fine, but there are lots of mostly minor maintenance issues. In our stay: bathroom door hinge falling away from jam, bathroom door lock removed to compensate, couch had piece of sharp metal sticking out that caught and snagged my pants, the heater air cycled on for 30 sec then off for 3 min over and over, half of the elevator button lights didn't work. The front desk staff were OK, but not always available.

The rooms are very dated as is the hotel lots of noise until about 3 AM. Not sure how people gave five out of five stars reasonably priced, but you’re really not getting a quality hotel and no real coffee at the buffet. It was taster’s choice grinds that you mix with hot water. I haven’t seen that for decades.

These were the thinnest walls I have ever experienced. My partner and I could hear literally everything in the room next to us. The neighbors seemed to be whispering, but we could still hear them loud and clear. Please understand that I am not a light sleeper or a picky person. I wouldn't be leaving a review unless it was really bad. I don't care if I can hear the neighbors, but this was absurd. It's a shame because the hotel was otherwise fine and affordable. We won't be coming back.

The Armon was clean, quiet, and a comfortable place for a short stay on our weekend trip to New York. It was located a little less than an hour from Harriman State Park (we did the Hudson Valley Mammoth March). You will have to purchase breakfast from their restaurant if you want to eat on site (we went to the Dunkin right down the street). You will also have to pay $10 a night to park in the Armon's parking garage, but you do get unlimited access to come and go as you please (I preferred this to street parking or an outdoor lot). The hot tub was not working during our stay, but everything else was fine for a short stay.

The Armon Stamford hotel had a very large/interesting lobby as well as a fitness center, indoor heated pool and jacuzzi (although the jacuzzi was out of order during our stay.) Our room was clean and comfortable. Self parking was $10 a night. We did hear other guests in the hallway at night and noticed areas of the hotel could use a refresh. Overall, this was an affordable, clean option for the area.

The best part was the beautiful lobby and the outside. The room looked more like a motel. I was highly disappointed and disgusted; I was coming out the shower and the house keeper walks in(my partner went to get breakfast) I asked why did she let herself in my room, she says the front desk told her to come in, I said why would they do that and check out is at 11. Again why did you come in here, she said you didn't have the do not disturb sign out, I said I don't need to, you had no right coming in here and I will speak to management. Management denied her claims gave me the head person number, I contacted Pablo and left a message and received no response. DON'T EVER STAY HERE, IF YOU WANT PRIVACY, CLEAN WORKOUT EQUIPMENT AND MORE THAN ONE BATH CLOTH. DISGUSTING, I WILL BE LETTING ALL OF MY SOCIAL MEDIA FRIENDS KNOW TO EXCLUDE THIS PLACE( I STAYED HERE 1 WEEK AGO AND STILL NO RESPONSE)

Quite a surprise, not my luggage

I arrived extremely tired. When I went to the room and opened the door, someone was already occupying the room. I wheeled the cart full of luggage back to the front desk. The carts are difficult to use. Went to the room, further away from the first. It had a \"Do Not Disturb Sign\" on it and luggage in the room already. Went to the front desk again! This time they did sent an employee to meet me at the room, but it was three more corridors away! This hotel is huge. I did not know large hotels no longer help with your luggage. Hotel lobby was noisy, but room was quiet and clean.
