Great staff and nice location and amenities made this a perfect stay for a trip to the DeYoung Museum and a game at Oracle Park, which was walking distance along the Embarcadero and Ferry Bldg. We’ll stay again.

Room was clean but basic we had issues with TV and the AC but they were quick to fix it. We asked for a late checkout but they were unwilling to work with us. Was okay but not great I wouldn’t stay here again but if you want a cheaper room in a good location of San Francisco this is a good option.

Check in was quick & efficient. Great amenities from shampoo, conditioner, bath gel - to a Nespresso machine in the room - to an iron+board. My room faced a busy street but the double paned windows muted the noise. The TV had lots of channels. A great weekend hotel at a reasonable price. In the financial district away from downtown - but great for walking (flat) to the Ferry Bldg, Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, the ballpark, Union Square, etc - & if you want the challenge… SF hills. I’d come back & stay again.

Well I hesitate to review this hotel because I like it so much lol. I have stayed there many nights over many trips in the last 15 years and I think it is perfect. I returned in March after three years gone and a lot of same friendly, welcoming staff is still there.

Rooms can be small (club rooms) and not all have a refrigerator (so call them to double check before you book a type of room) but:

(1) The staff is wonderful. Just good people. They go out of their way to be helpful. Obviously respect to them also helps.

(2) Location--5 minute walk to the Ferry Bldg and Embarcadero and to the F trolley to the Wharf or Castro and stops all along Market St; 3 minute walk to California street cable car; 8 minute walk to Montgomery Muni and BART station and to many buses including 38R Geary express; 10 min walk to Chinatown and North Beach! The list goes on.

(4) Great lounge with workspaces and complimentary espresso drinks.

(5) Quiet area at night. No horns from traffic.

I always feel like I am \"coming home\" to SF when I visit and that is because of the staff.

Can't wait to go again.

I love staying at this hotel. The rooms are so clean and nice. Staff is always friendly and helpful in the lobby getting you checked in properly. There is a restaurant located downstairs which is easy access for drinks and dinner. The room staying nice and cold with the AC in each room while sleeping

Great location and affordable for a quick stay. Close to Chinatown, several restaurants and you can walk down to the water. Rooms are small and very little counter space in the bathroom. Definitely a deal for those on a budget though!

No breakfast. It's very noisy, especially at night. The room shakes when someone slams the door. You can hear people active at night doing tantra yoga next door.

We were forced to evacuate at 3am because of the fire alarm. Quite Pathetic. good that it wasn't cold. The airconditioning is noisy too.

The bed was a full, not a queen. The fire alarm malfunctioned and the entire hotel was evacuated in the middle of the night and we were told it was a circuitry issue. The TV did not work. This place sucked.

The place is clean and safe and well located. The staff are friendly. I’m updating review after multiple stays because:
The digital system doesn’t work and requires more staff effort to go back and fix errors.
Trying to save money by skimping on little things is obvious: the fancy coffee maker in the guest lobby is always out of milk, the fancy refillable shampoo and soap dispenser in each shower is broken because it’s cheaply made. The elevators are often not working.

Located in Embarcadero/ downtown SFO, this hotel is at walking distance of Chinatown, Piers/Port, parks and a myriad of restaurants. There is even a \"Safeway\" a couple of blocks fm the hotel. To be underscored: SFO downtown feels safer and cleaner than a few years ago. Staff hotel amicable and effective. This hotel is a great option when visiting SFO.

I had a wonderful stay the properties. Location is awesome. Most of the places I wanted to go were walkable. The staff was kind and helpful. Loved the coffee bar and guest laundry. The room I stayed in did not have a mini fridge which I think every room should have it should not be a luxury to keep a soda cold. Overall, I had a really nice experience.

For the price, it’s a decent hotel. Queen room is very small so if you have multiple suitcases, it could be an issue leaving them open on the floor. Walls are quite thin so you can hear a conversation on the other end. Perfect location and walking distance to plenty of areas and public transport options.

Shower was very nice—the water pressure was great, and the room was very spacious. We had our own living room area as well as a separate bedroom with a full-size bed.

The water dispenser on the third floor wasn’t great—it took a very long time to fill up, which was a minor inconvenience.

Parking was decent, although paying $45 per day wasn’t ideal. It’s probably still better than most places, but it’s something you have to expect in downtown San Francisco.

I paid for a queen size bed but was given a double/full instead (next to the elevators, so I heard them all night). When mentioned to the hotel staff, they tried convincing me that my room was a queen size. When I disagreed with them, they tried to convince me that queen size beds are made smaller nowadays. They eventually did move me, but the next room’s bed sagged in the middle and my wife and I woke up with sore lower backs.

It was a really nice place. We didn’t eat anything directly from the hotel but they did had all the things that were necessary, but the only thing that we were having trouble with the room temperature especially, at night it would get really really cold and the heater wasn’t working Other than that. It was a really great place. The staff was wonderful and we felt very safe and comfortable.

Would have been nice if snacks in the room or were on the house I didn't take a vehicle because of traffic I'm in San Jose took Amtrak and my bike My bike isn't expensive bike $1,600 it cost me a Gary Fisher there was no place to park my bike I parked it on the front next to a temporary fence when I got up this morning my seat was gone there goes my vacation time at San Francisco I could not drive my bike without no seat I had a walk with my bike all over the place I was highly upset not blame anybody just couldn't believe it got stolen right in my other doorway there anyhow it was a beautiful lovely night there The beds were very comfortable back in the very spaces not bad at all thank you for this day

The hotel's location was very convenient. The hotel itself looked outdated. The bed in the room turned out to be small and not particularly comfortable. The television did not work. The carpeting in the room was old and dirty. The hotel staff was not very welcoming and showed absolutely no concern for the level of customer service.
