The hotel was clean and breakfast was included which is nice. The A/C worked great 👍. The room was average European size. The only issues which are very case by case. Was we thought the bed abbas pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The bed was very hard, not firm but hard. The pillows were ridiculously flat. We did ask for more and the hotel accommodated so that was a plus. Also the bathroom was one of those frost glass bathrooms which could be a problem for someone

Taking in the sights that Bern, Switzerland has to offer. Hotel Sorell Adore fit my needs. About a 3 minute walk to the train station. Conveniently located to most tourist spots. They provide a pass for public transportation, but most things are close enough to walk.
The room was small but clean. As a solo traveler it met my needs. They provide water and a safe but no mini fridge.
The bathroom was small but clean.
The staff was friendly and courteous.
The breakfast is with the room and it has a variety of meats, cheeses, jellies, coffee and more. Made fresh daily.
Overall, I would recommend. I do not have anything negative to say, other than it's a bit pricey, but this is Switzerland.

Excellent choice - very close to the station.

Lovely breakfast, again staff were fantastic.
Room was fairly small, but didn’t spend much time in it, so no big deal.
Free travel ticket supplied, so as to really enjoy this beautiful city.
Bus no.12 stops very close to the hotel - goes straight through the Old Town to the Bear Park.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel, which was clean, provided good helpful service, is very close to the train station and close to the shopping area.The room is smaller than we are used to.The included breakfast comprised of a very nice selection and enjoyable. We were disappointed with one of the hand towels which had a hole.

Location just 3 minutes walk from train station (Bern), bed/mattress/pillows are extremely comfortable. I choose to stay at Bern for first 2 days at Switzerland and had very warm welcome from this hotel. Staffs at breakfast areas and receptionist are very gentle and helpful, breakfast was so nice, I would say this hotel made me the best experienced in Switzerland other than travelling places. If I come back to Switzerland, this hotel would be the first choice for me to stay.

Single and double roooms are very, very small. The room had a few bugs flying around in it. The TV was very difficult to work. Parking is in a garage by itself and not part ofthe hotel and can be difficult finding your way ot the hotel from the garage the first time. Overall, not so pleased. Also, the hotel was woring on its sewer line and the smell in the halls were horrible for part of the day.

The facilities are mostly fine but compared to other Swiss hotels of the same caliber, this one is not as comfortable (no A/C, duvet too thick and warm, thin walls) and the house staff not as efficient (maid didn't make bed last two days, didn't leave any chocolates after 2nd day (whereas my travel partner had one everyday), check-in staff confused my reservation with another, and we were told front desk was 24-hours when it wasn't).

WE arrived early and the room not ready that was not the problem but we were told to return at 2pm which we did and we still had to hang around until it was ready wasting some of precious one day in Bern. Did not experience this at any of the other 5 hotels we stayed at in Switzerland some we gained access around 11am.

Nice hotel, but room was way to warm

It was 31* C (88*F) in the room when we arrived, even though it was only 28* outside. The hotel put a fan in the room, but as the window could not be fully opened (and their was no air conditioning) the temperature remained in the 30’s until well into the night. It felt like a sauna.

I think I would consider staying at this hotel in the winter, but would not want to do so again in the warmer months.

This hotel was excellent. Very clean and comfortable room not very far from the rail station near old town Bern. The breakfast was good, with a great variety. The staff were all friendly and nice.

I gave the \"room comfort\" a 3 because, as best as I could tell, it didn't have air conditioning. Just one of those cooling fans (better than a regular fan, but definitely not an air conditioner! Lol). We were on the street side of the building, so it was a little too loud for opening the window. Also, the TV was a little old and we weren't able to connect the computer to it, and since we don't speak Swiss or German, there was no TV. This wasn't as big a deal as no AC in the height of summer, but it was a slight annoyance.

This hotel is a good option for whom wants to stay close to train station. It is in walkable distance to the old town of Bern. It offers Bern travel card which valids from the date of check in to the date you check out. Fare options in breakfast buffet, but there has nice staff to serve you. Clean and tidy room, although a bit small, it is very comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sorell Hotel Ador. The staff was great. We got good recommendations from them, and they were helpful. The hotel's location is good, very close to the train station and close to the old town. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts they provided were excellent. The only bad thing I can think to say about this visit is that the room was a little small. Other than that, we'll definitely stay here the next time we're in Bern.

No air-conditioning so even on a cool night the room was 25 degrees (The heating didn't seem to be on, so I have no idea why it is that hot). They supply you with a fan, but a hotel this size should really come with air-conditioning. I definitely wouldn't stay here in summer.

Great Value in Bern

We made a last-minute reservation at the hotel when we arrived in Bern, and it turned out to be one of the most pleasant stays of our entire European vacation. Although the price was a little higher than we were used to paying, the value was good when you factor in the free (outstanding) breakfast and free metro bus passes. More importantly, everyone at the hotel was exceedingly friendly and helpful. If we ever return to Bern we would most certainly stay at the Hotel Sorrell.

2 weeks in Italy with a few days excursion to Switzerland Zermatt and Zurich. Chosen this location for convenience after the excursion and headed back to Milan. Access to the rail station was convenient and a nice shopping mall with supermarket nearby. Breakfast at 6:00am helped since we had early trip to Zermatt. Overall great stay experience.

I requested adjacent rooms long ago when booking for my parents so that I could take care of them, but hotel did not take this into account when making the room arrangement so we had rooms in separate floors. Hot in room even with electric fan, too noisy to open the window.

Never book in HOT weather...

We had a terrible night here. The room was at 82 degrees F (28 C) all night. Outside it was a cool 71 degrees F. Terrible ventilation and we left the windows open to the max (about 2 inches) allowed. When we arrived, the staff had left a standing fan on in the room. When we called to complain, they replied \"we know, sorry\". We asked for another room but they only had no-ac rooms because all their \"business class rooms\" with AC had been rented. We asked for help booking another hotel and they said no, and they also refused to refund our money. Do NOT book this hotel in hot weather.

The rooms were OK and very clean but the temperature made our stay quite unpleasant.

The hotel is situated close to the Bern train station, but not so close that you get the noise or even the feeling that it is a train station hotel. The room was a bit small but in a good condition. It was pricier than I would have expected a hotel of that status to be, but it seems that Bern hotels are just expensive anyway. The hotel is also close to the old town and a good sized Migros (groceries, etc) so you really do have everything in a close proximity.

We wanted a hotel that was convenient to the train station and this one is. It is charmless and the rooms are tiny. Because we were in Bern during warm weather, we had to keep our windows open and street noise was definitely an issue. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The included breakfast was very good and the WIFI is free.

Spent two nights. Hotel is in a prime location in Bern very near to the main train station. Also with quick access to trams if you wish to travel within the city also.

Best thing in the breakfast were the cold cuts. For scrambled egg lovers...not so much. That said they quoted extensive usage of local swiss products for the breakfast, something you'd look for?

Bern is near central of Switzerland and close to Interlaken and Zurich (both within one hour). In case you cannot get good deals in those places, try using Bern and this hotel as intermediate stopover and plan your day trips.

Bed is big. Comfort level...it depends...
