Had an issue with the room that they moved me to before arriving there but the following day Andria assisted me with no problem. She has the best customer service and the greatest smile. Her quick assistance made my stay even better than before. Also, the hotel and rooms were clean and everyone was polite. This place will always be my first choice to stay.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with OZ Hotel Management in Cartagena.

I booked a four night stay but was forced to leave after the first night due to a genuine family emergency. I immediately informed hotel management and requested reimbursement for the unused nights. Despite the circumstances, they refused to refund even a single night and showed zero empathy or flexibility.

I understand policies exist, but hospitality is about people, not just rules. The complete lack of compassion and unwillingness to work with a guest during a family emergency was shocking and unprofessional.

Customer service was dismissive and unhelpful, and communication felt cold and transactional. This experience left a very bad impression and is not what I expect from a hotel that claims to value guests.

I would strongly caution traveler, especially those who may need flexibility to think twice before booking here. If something unexpected happens, do not expect understanding or support.

The room was clean but the bed didn’t feel that comfortable. Room was also quite small. The water pressure was weird since at times it was strong and at times it was not. Check in was good though. The front desk provided us with a good parking spot even though parking is not available on site. Close to the beach, supermarkets, pharmacies, and restaurants.

However they offered an upgrade which I gladly accepted days before my trip and in the end got nothing, the OZ hotel does not have nice views outside, and it does not have a pool nor bathtub or jacuzzi. If you are only planning to sleep and take a quick shower then yes, it is for you.

We didn’t like:
The first night we arrived there was water in the bathroom floor right after we took a shower, we reported to the front lobby and they sent an employee to dry the floor and moved us to another room the next day.
We did not like the breakfast. The rooms were too small.

Perfect hotel to stay in downtown Boca grande. The only thing I would probably change is the noise the cleaning staff makes on floor 6 the last room. I believe it’s close to the cleaning supplies storage so they tend to go in and out and make noise and you can hear it in the room. The staff in the concierge is soo nice and friendly. Always helping you and greeting you at the door.

The room was comfortable, clean, and had all the necessitates. The staff was outstanding from the front desk, bellmen/doormen, and the waitstaff for breakfast all wonderful dedicated and hardworking - they made the stay more enjoyable with their expert recommendations and assistance.

The daily breakfast was delicious perfect to start the day. We also enjoyed the 6th floor balcony when smokers were not there - the views of the beaches all around. Beautiful.

I wished I had known that there were 2 Oz Hotels. Luckily, they are right around the corner from each other.

Lots of noise with honking horns and uninsulated windows, so ear plugs are required to sleep. Overall, I liked the simplicity of this hotel and so convenient walkable to the beach, numerous restaurants and shopping. Short ride via taxi to old town and the airport.

The staff treated myself and the group i was with as if we did not belong. We were questioned about our skin color and occupations in an attempt to get additional money from us. We were harassed by police outside of the hotel because staff inside judged us due to our skin color. Our stay was uncomfortable from beginning to end. The only friendly staff member that was nice and accommodating to us was the bar tender, Alexander. To Alexander, thank you for all your help, patience, and good drinks!

The hotel room was filled with mosquitoes, the room was extremely hot ac didn’t work. The bed felt like a brick and the shower pressure was horribly painful, felt like I was getting rocked thrown at me on top of that the hot water didn’t work at all. I checked in around 5:30pm and left and an hour later due to the bad conditions. Had to find another hotel I got bitten a few times in the room.

I really enjoyed my stay at OZ Hotel. The best thing about the property is the staff. The rooms are a bit small but are good for two people. The room has no thrills but has everything you need, such as lamps, a wardrobe, a smart TV, and AC. The bed was average, about the housekeeping was very responsive on cleaning the room. Another thing I appreciated about OZ Hotel was their focus on water and energy conservation, which is a nice touch. My only criticism is that the rooms were not sound and if your a sensitive sleeper, I recommend bringing earplugs. Free breakfast is included in the morning, which was sufficient and better than most continental breakfasts ive experienced in the States. The Hotel also has a restaurant and bar, but I did not indulge in those services. Overall, I highly recommend this property if you plan to stay in Cartagena for a two-person trip. However, if you are a family or large group only wanting one room, definitely book a larger room or possibly look for another location.
