I had the supreme double room. The view was exactly as advertised of the city view except one side was facing directly an office. There isn’t much around the area but it’s right next to the MRT so it’s convenient for travel.
I did notice there was some garbage underneath the bed on my second last day which makes me wonder if the room was actually thoroughly cleaned.

Second time here and I will not come back. Stains all over the carpet, no bottled water, no soap by the sink (that’s not an amenity…).
If you want to sleep, forget about it, the walls are paper thin. I could actually hear my neighbors’ conversations and their bad singing.
I also got a rude reminder at 10:40am that check out was at 11am.

“Staff were helpful and friendly, and the robot that delivers items to your room was a nice touch. However, there were some issues that impacted my stay. There was no soap by the wash basin, which meant I had to bring the shower soap over each time I wanted to wash my hands—very inconvenient. More seriously, I experienced bug bites during my stay, which has me concerned there may have been bed bugs. Out of caution, I canceled my reservation for my return trip. I hope the hotel looks into it thoroughly, as this could really affect other guests.”

Very accommodating staff - requested non carpet room and they have obliged the following times I’ve asked for it. However the non carpeted rooms are only on the fourth floor. Wish they would also bring back the breakfast - it was good when it lasted. Very convenient location however the walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbors quite clearly.

This is the 3rd time I have stayed in this property. One suggestion, they should replace the carpet in the room. It's really dirty. If they will be replacing the carpet, they should select the type that doesn't really show the stain easier. They shouldn't have selected plain beige color

The room we stayed was quite comfortable. We like the bed and the pillows. However there was not enough chairs to sit and the table was rather small to put our things. We could hear door slams from the surrounding units which was quite a shock at times.

The hotel is well maintained for a smoke free property. It is just near to the XingTian Temple MRT station. What spoilt my stay was from Jan 23 to 31 2024 was some tenants were actually smoking next to my room. After my complaint, the staff switched my room from 3C to 8D. Beware those given rooms on the lower floors. Suggest that tenants sign a no smoking pledge before getting their room keys. If anyone smokes, the assigned room electricity and water supplies will be cut off as per agreement. I hope management seriously look into the matter as the Check Inn reputation will be impacted greatly if nothing is done.

It’s a great value hotel. The rooms are smaller and my room was directly facing the office building next door so it was hard to open the blinds. The room was relatively clean with the exception of the carpet, which had many stains and looked like it hadn’t been deep cleaned or replaced in years. The breakfast buffet I included with the room was better than expected and had a decent variety.

Be warned if you’re sensitive to noise. The walls are paper thin, enough to be able hear what the people in the next room are talking about. I’m referring to people talking in normal voice, not yelling. That means you can also hear everything else that going on in the rooms next to you and in the hallways including people’s private activities!! They do provide you with earplugs in the room but it’s not enough. I would recommend finding another hotel if you’re a sensitive sleeper, want more privacy and soundproof rooms.

PROS:
Location was excellent. It was next to the train station and also only 4min walking distance from the airport shuttle stop (Bus 5201). There’s a Starbucks and 7-11 right next door which was great. The size of the room is acceptable but The renovation was very stylish along with little details such as aux cable that connects to the room’s speakers and light switches on both sides of the bed (and yes it does control the desk lamp as well so you don’t have to walk out of bed to turn it off, yay!). The amenities provided were in its own branded packaging. They even provided disposable earplugs which was very thoughtful considering the street do gets noisy at times.

CONS:
The staff could be friendlier sometimes rather than watchIng you walk into the hotel and glaze back at the computer monitor without saying a word.
It’d be great if they provide facial tissues in the room. We only had toilet papers and it wasn’t very handy at all. The water pressure coming out from the shower head is a little excessive and the streams of water weren’t concentrated which splashed everywhere other than the body when taking a shower.

Steps away from a MRT Xiang Tian Temple Exit 2 or 3. Has a small boutique hotel vibe but is not what I would call luxurious. I had a small twin room with unusual layout -- fine for sleeping. CNN and a few English channels. TV remote and volume patchy control - had to call front desk. Breakfast adequate. Would stay again but only if the price was right. Airport bus stops nearby hotel but MRT Airport Express probably is quicker even changing trains twice. No early check-in at Check Inn!

The hotel has nice room but unfortunately the room provided for me has annoying rattling drumming sound of M&E service above the ceiling. The reception offered to change to a quieter but tired looking room next to staircase which we didn’t feel good so we decided to go back to the noisy room thinking that we can endure. Unfortunately it was noticeably loud in the middle of night and we weren’t allowed to change room already. They should resolve this services sound for Room 7B- even life lobby was quiet compared to this room. It is not fit for any guest to stay. Nobody should pay for this room at all!!!

Nice room, but very noisy

The good: I liked the style/interior design of the room. All the furniture, floors/ceilings, toilet, shower, etc..were all in good shape. Room condition was very nice. You get a nice big sink with organic soap. Shower comes in the form of a stall with door (I hate the open showers that get water all over the place) with a nice shampoo/bodywash that you can pump from a big bottle (not those little tiny, one time use packages). The room cleaner was very nice and came every day. Restocked water bottles, coffee, and tea. I always had an umbrella, but it seemed like they had some for you to use in case you didn't have one. Can't speak to the food/breakfast quality as I did not eat there.

The bad: Two things. First, it's very noisy. I expected some noise from adjacent rooms, but what I was not prepared for was how loud the water pipes were. I kid you not...it seemed like I was under a waterfall. You can forget about sleeping. I stayed for four nights and had that issue two of those nights. They did however offer to move me to a higher floor. Second, although it's a no smoking hotel, the very first thing I noticed when walking in was the smell of cigarette smoke. It was coming from the vent in the bathroom, so probably someone smoking in another room. Again, this happened twice during my stay. They gave me some machine that they said would help, but not sure it did.

Overall, I still liked the hotel. Probably bad luck with the smoke. Hopefully I'll get a higher room next time.

Overall staffs are nice. The hotel is slightly worn out, and the door and walls are sound proof. I can hear water pipes and door closing if the next room very loudly in the morning, the glass proof is also not great and we can hear all the traffic. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

The design of the faucets in the sink and in the shower room is horrible and poor. You get extremely confused and frustrated about turning it on/off counterclockwise/clockwise or whatever vice versa. Very confusing! Also, there is not enough lighting in the room. It seemed like there are many lights installed, but they are all useless. You can hardly see yourself clearly enough in the mirror due to the lack of lighting. It's also ridiculously dark in the laundry room. People will have a hard time to figure out the writing on the settings of washer/dryer machines. Somehow there is constant noise in the bathroom the whole time. Especially at night, the weird sound in the bathroom bothers us a lot. The AC does not work good. It's uncomfortably cold in the room. With similar amount of $, I think I will find a better hotel in Taipei. The pillows are not too comfortable. The only pro about the stay is the location. The location is super convenient.

great location but not as comfy as i hoped

the hotel has really thin walls, i was awakening at 4am in morning cause of (presumably) drunk neighbours in the room next to mine. called the front desk and they were able to rectify immediately. now i know why they provide earplugs in the hotel room. plus, the "double beds" are actually two single beds combined as one, its really uncomfortable if you are sleeping with your partner.

Upon, check in was a tad disappointed to learn that deluxe room booked did not have a tub.

However, location of hotel is good. Airport Shuttle bus is within walking distance.

Its within walking distance to the taipei fish market, also known as Addiction Aquatic Development. And aviation geeks, the runway of Songshan airport is within walking distance.

Extremely easy to move around with the Metro within walking distance.

Great location but make sure you don't choose the single-single room if you are a light sleeper. These rooms face the street and even with the ear plugs provided it was still very noisy. Also sound proof between rooms was non existent. Could hear conversations in the next room clearly.

The window was facing directly at the office next to this building and I can see everything they're doing, I wonder if it's see-through from our side as well.

Wow experience for the price paid. Less than 1 minute walk to the MRT station. Next to the station there is a hotpot Thai restaurant. Very nice! Hotel is very well maintained. I read a review before that the Hollywood bed is a problem but after experiencing it myself, I think it's not that bad. They use all the good quality amenities and beddings. Love this place! Will definitely make it my top choice if I ever visit Taipei in the future! Thanks Check Inn. The staff are also helpful and friendly.

The staff make the place, always accommodating and friendly! The hotel is simple but clean and has everything you need along with extras like free use of laundry facilities, suitcase scale, internal mailbox that doesn't require postage, a funky cafe, fridge, kettle and toiletries. The rooms are nicely appointed including exposed brick and the subway (awesome transit system throughout Taiwan) is a minute away.

Convenient and modern hotel

The hotel is very convenient and it's less than 5 min away from the hotel.
It has a marvelous interior design. This modern hotel is designed in a retro way with unique brick materials and specially designed lamps. The toiletries are self-branded, and the shampoo is great to use.
The local area is prosperous with a number of shops, restaurants. There is a local market nearby and a supermarket opposite over the main road. It's nice to have a walk nearby and shop around.

Noise buffer between room is really lousy. I can hear every word from the next door tenants though they weren't shouting. So, tv noise next door becomes a nuisance. No peace at all. Very clean,facilites looked like new. The room was small (two single bed room )but there were enough space to leave my carrier open. it had slippers and safe,which i liked most. However the room wasnt sound proofed well so i could hear chinese couple or family talking loud one night very early in the morning:::
And one more thing,the carpet need to be relplaced. It looked like not clean even thogh the cleaning person vacummed everyday.
Overall the hotel was nice,and convenient. I will definitely stay at the hotel.next time.

Nice Staff but Unfair Cancellation Policy

Although the WI-FI was free, I could only get it to work on my phone, but not on my computer. Rooms are very small but adequate if you are going to be there for sleeping. Staff was very nice and very helpful. Cancellation policy is quite unfair. Cancellation with more than 24-hour notice was still charged more than one days charges.

Boutique hotel with excellent service n location.

I enjoyed my stay in Check-inn. The hotel is located less than 100 steps away from Xing Tian Gong mrt station. The neighbourhood has many amenities, convenience store, supermarket, fast food restaurant, restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and pharmacy. Although the room is fairly small, the use of space is efficient. The hotel has all facilities that we need (fridge, writing table, kettle, quality shampoo and hand wash provided in the room). There is also a laundry room at Level 3 where you get to use the washing powder, washer and dryer free). The hotel also has a hipster café in the hotel where you can enjoy your western breakfasts if you are too lazy to go out.

The only downside is the rooms are not totally soundproof. You will hear loud water sounds when the room next door showers or watches TV.

My stay is overall very satisfying. The room is nice, stylish and clean. The only thing I would criticise is that the wall is a little too thin so whenever someone showers you hear big noises coming from the pipe. Otherwise everything is great. The staff are friendly and super helpful. The Songjiang night market opposite to the hotel is amazing, had our night snacks there two nights in a row! The hostel has a cafe on the ground floor, seems to be always packed, which tempted me to try their coffee but turned out to be quite awful. I am sure it is individual issue so overall a very happy stay in Check-inn. Would recommend my friends to try!

Decent boutique hotel

Good location, one minute walk from metro station on line 4 which is not the most popular metro line for tourist, but it is convenient enough. Room is not big but clean with all necessity. Washroom in our room had some bad smell in the morning due to drainage problem. Overall is comfortable and value for money.

A boutique hotel 30-sec walk to the MRT

A boutique hotel with industrial loft style located within 30-sec walk from the MRT. The omelette at the breakfast was absolutely delicious and 5-star hotel standard.

Cool little hotel

Good trendy hotel going for the Ace hotel vibe. Branding was very consistent and fun (yellow and black as signature colors). Closet and storage were minimal but bathroom was large and wi-fi was strong (although you had to login everyday). Bathroom amenities were great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of hidden gems in the neighborhood - good for walking around and exploring. Also handy to MRT, banks, and Starbucks. Overall we were satisfied with our stay.

Exceptional hotel with this price!

This hotel is conveniently located minutes away from the MTR station. The reception desk is very efficient in handling check in and check out. The room is clean and comfortable. It is also very close to airport shuttle bus stops. The only thing I would say that can be improved is the sound proof of the room. During my stay, I could occasionally hear the noise of the buses from the street at night. But with this price, this hotel is a exceptional. I would definitely come back.

Nice design hotel make me feel like in London

I found check-inn from travel blog and the good comments make me looking forward to stay. Hotel assigned middle floor to me. The curtain help me to keep privacy from the commercial building that next to the hotel. And I found the sound insulation need to imporve, I always hear the noise from next room and corridor. But I still feel comfortable to stay here as the bedding and bathroom is great and clean. The location is nice, it's close to food market, shopping area and arractions. And I highly recommend the cafe in hotel. The food is great. But there're little flying insects in cafe. Hope hotel can improve it. I believe check-inn can be one of you choice to stay.

Great hotel but the wall is too thin

This is a very modern hip hotel. It's not even a minute walk from the MRT station.
There are lots of convenience stores, massage places, and restaurants around.
The cafe on the 1st floor is cute, and the people at the lobby were very helpful and nice.
The room was small but very clean. The only problem we had was the very thin wall.
Our stay was wonderful until we got very loud guests next door on our 2nd night. Their music woke us up, and when they start talking and screaming, it was a nightmare. The wall is so thin that you can hear everything....I know we got very unlucky, and hope it doesn't happen to others because it is a great hotel!
I would definitely recommend this hotel to others if they fix the noise problem.

Great stay at CHECK Inn Taipei!

The hotel is very clean and very close to the subway station. It is new and modern. Though the room is not big, it is good enough and very value for money. The staff were helpful and their cafe served good food too. It is easy to go from the hotel to anywhere. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again. The only thing I could say that needs improvement is probably the sound proof. I guess the walls are not thick or sound proof was average work so I could hear clearly people talking outside early in the morning. I could even hear the next door talking, if they raise their voice a bit.

Drug stores and shuttle bus to airport near by.

Hotel staff allow us to leave our luggage with them one day in advance which is great. Breakfast choices are limited, but there lots of eateries just right at the corner of the hotel. Room are clean, with great shower gels and shampoo. Major drugstores and shuttle bus to airport is just right on the same street.

Only disappointment we faced is during check in process. Staff did not even asked for our name and start flipping the stack of paper infant of her. Saw my name is right on the first page and pointed it out to her. Staff explained that we have book a room that is "head to head". We explained that when we make a booking, we have specifically booked twin room with bed " side by side". Staff refused to make any further check, the only effort we can see from her is flipping through the print out papers right in front of her. If not on our own insistence, i doubt that she will make an effort to check with someone of more seniority. ( At this time, someone seem to be more senior appears and overheard, within a min or two, it done.) Disappointed that staff make it sound like we have make a wrong booking, she can even went on to claimed that expedia or such medium can give a wrong booking to the hotel. When traveller are feeling tired, we do not really care what went on thru the booking system. We do care is, I GET WHAT I PAID.

Otherwise, the rest are great. People are courteous, will definitely head back again.
