A good stay but less luck with internet connection

Staff are very friendly, helpful and awesome. Internet has trouble connected time to time even thought hotel provide several Wi-Fi Networks. I guess that is why hotel fee is low.

Good place suitable for a sleepover

If you just like a place for sleepover, this is a good place, worth the value.

The room and its facilities are old but well maintained.

Location not too near to train station, however they are still some little attractions nearby.

Overall no complaints for this hotel.

Very bad experience. on't stay this hotel.

We change the room 3 times in four night.
First night, TV is broken. refrigerator is leaking.Toilet is not working. The person at front desk let us change room. Second night, there is no air condition. they let us change the room again. The third night is Ok. but the next day, someone smoke on next room. The next night they turn off the air condition. I ask them to turn it on, they said someone complain it's too cold.It is 75 degree inside the room.
When I made reservation on Hotels.com, there is free breakfast every morning. After I checked in, they told me the restaurant was closed for months.
Also when you take shower, the water is running everywhere in the restroom.
I will NEVER go back to this hotel again.

A good stay.

have a good stay. Staff are friendly and eager to help. They will come to room and fix the problems right away when I asked for assistance.
Although I don’t get used to be asked daily if I would like house keeping to clean my room, Either do have to pass room key to front desk whenever I left the room. I understand they try to be polite and thoughtful.

The hotel is very old. The beds were made out of cardboard. The bathroom floors were wet and dirty. The ceilings were low. The rooms were small. Nothing much in the neighbourhood. Nice and friendly staff who spoke English, gave directions and information. Had to get extra pillows to put under the sheets to make the bed a little more comfortable.

Hotel is a dump. Building should be demolished.
Room smelled horrible. No thermostat. Hard bed. Window did not seal. Old carpets. Old non working sauna tub. Price was to include free breakfast, false. Lighting in bathroom sparked when shower was on. Far from MRT station. I checked out early and lost 2 prepaid days to stay at a better hotel.

Nice one

The overall experience is nice. It was just a random trip, which I bought my flight ticket just few hours before the flight, and booked this hotel right after that. Everything was expected and there is a nice bath tub. Still, some improvements can be done, like fixing the hot water dispenser and upgrading the facilities.

Terrible place ....wouldn't stay there again. The bathroom was leaking water and the floor stayed wet. Shower curtain kept falling down. No thermostat for heat or cold.......

I booked this one very last minute and unfortunately, paid with credit card up front. In retrospect, that was a serious mistake. Chinese New Year Is a bad time to travel so every other property was fully booked.

Carpets grubby, linens worn and frayed, beds are hard! Window small and condition of fixtures and furniture very tired and have not been cleaned properly in years. Indeed, the pictures used to advertise this place are very misleading. Smoking allowed in the restaurant, but given the state of the rest of the place, I wouldn't dream of eating there. Don't be mislead. Not recommended.

Depends what you are looking for...

I came to Taipei in the time of a huge exhibition in the city and there was not much choice for the hotels.
The hotel is very old and you can see it. But is it clean. The wall papers are falling over, I have never ever slept on such a hard bed. The shower was leaking over the whole bathroom and the walls were so thin that I could hear neighbors conversations over the phone...
The breakfasts was very Chinese. Not my type...
There is ca. 10 min walk to 2 different MRT stations
The staff is very very friendly and very very helpful. And they speak some English.

Shabby but serviceable

The Meadow is nothing special, but good for a last minute stay of a day or two. It's obviously an older building and if you don't mind accommodations with a few rough edges then this place will do just fine. The room was old, but clean, and walking distance from the Brown line MRT as well as some great places for beer.

Poor facility primarily to fool foreign tourists

Looks like the owner doesn't want to spend any money to maintain the facility to offer commercial grade lodging. Taxi driver reminded me the condition is bad so the locals wouldn't go there. In my experience the restroom door can't be closed, nor locked, no temperature control for AC, the light control panel is barely functional.
It's listed as a \"hotel\" but it is indeed an odd apartment/studio, for the same price USD 74 there are other hotels in Taipei for better experience. This place is designed to fool foreign visitors who tend to pay more for less.

It was a hard core experience. Carpet was smelly. Lighting was dim. No trust paid to customers. Force to return room key everytime you walked out. Breakfast was sucks. You can only enjoy the leftover food even just 9am!!

台湾は素泊まりでも楽しめる。

3泊4日で利用しました。建物は古いですが保温洗浄便座もありお風呂のお湯も問題なく使用できました。
素泊まりでしたが、周囲にお店も沢山あって、食事もマッサージも最高でした。
また機会が有れば利用させていただきます。

You get what you paid, so do not expect a 5-star hotel. But I love the place, it's in the middle of a city with lots of nice local places just outside of the hotel.
The staff is very friendly and helpful and will try to resolve any problem to the best of their abilities. (It might not always get resolved but they still try.)

It is somewhat old, but things still function, and go to place when you are on the budget travel.

清潔感はありますが、年期が入っていて
シャワーヘッドから水漏れがあったり金庫が壊れて使えない状況でした。
一部タオルには埃や髪の付着あり。
神経質な方には向かないと思いますが、こちらのエリア近辺ではMRTの駅から10分程度歩くこともあってか相場は安めだと思うので、素泊まりでよく、寝床として使うには申し分ないと思います。

很有年代感的飯店，風格感覺不錯。
離捷運車站步行大概十多分鐘。
洗手間的設施和清潔細節上再改善會更好，幸好我出門都是帶一次性床單和毛巾，安心些。

比較年長的櫃檯先生服務態度很好很舒服，也幫忙叫車，滿意。

有好有壞的飯店，有機會還會考慮這家

Smelly, dirty, broken hotel.

The place was dirty, with woman hairs on the restroom sink and the whole building smelled like pee. There were small broken things everywhere and some other things were just very poorly repaired. There was even an opened bottle of water inside the fridge, probably from the last guest!

便宜、服務快捷，但改變不了硬體的問題

建築老舊，看得出以前是間不錯的酒店，但因為房間木門收縮變形，令門縫會透光，蚊子也可能是這樣飛進來，而浴室水糟也看到蟆飛來，很困擾。部份房間電視老舊，都出現殘影仍沒有換掉。房內的燈壞掉沒換就接待客人入住，管理的問題。房內插頭偏少，基本上一人入住也會覺得不足。

위생부분이 너무 별루네요..먼지..냄새..기타등등
갑짜기 방예약없이 대만 출장을 갔는데 여기저기 알아보다
업무 보는곳 근처로 잡았는데..너무너무 별루입니다
비싸고 비위생적이고 카페트에서 냄새 나고 침대옆 공간에 공사를 하다가 만건지 먼지가 너무너무 많네요
다시는 가고 싶지 않아요 무료로 자라고 해도 비추천합니다
