The customer service is exceptional! One of the best service I've had with a hotel. Very responsive with messages, personalised, friendly and helpful. Asked for early check in, no problem. I had some personal issues with the room and asked to change after like 5 hours of checking in, they did it without asking questions. I'll be happy to stay there again! 10 stars if I can give it.

Business center is large and comfortable. Was of great use for 1am-3am zoom calls back to US office as my roommate was sleeping. Breakfast is okay. The deluxe rooms are large. Staff were helpful. Only issue, which is temporary, is they are demo and renovating entire 4th floor til late Dec2023. First day there was jackhammering that you could hear throughout the hotel and i was trying to sleep late due to my 3am zoom calls. Hotel staff were accomodating and moved me to highest floor and construction noise was much quieter. If they are not doing construction, i’ll stay again.

We love this place, and it's our go-to spot when we stay in Taipei. It's not super geared toward tourists, but we know just enough of the language to make it work. Front desk staff speaks decent English as well. We enjoy the breakfast, good mix of American and Taiwanese food. Nearby are numerous convenience stores, restaurants, stinky tofu stands, a few grocery stores, shopping malls and MRT stops. Almost walking distance from Songshan Airport. From Taoyuan Airport take the Airport MRT (Purple) line and then transfer to green line at Taipei main station, go 2 more stops eastward.

Check in was very fast. Location is accessible. Room is reasonably clean. The only issue is the blanket is too thick, was sweating through out the night. The weather was around 15 degree and the room air con was fixed at 25 degree. The blanket was not too thick that my legs are sweating everynight even with open windows.

Dont bother using the gym, it is not well equipped. Bring your own shampoo and toothpaste as well. The hotel shampoos and toothpaste were not useful.

Delight Hotel is extremely conveniently located 2 blocks from the Taipei Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station. Hotel is quiet, clean and the staff are all very attentive, courteous and friendly. The breakfast is quite good, with mixture of traditional Taiwanese dishes but also has western food, salads, fruits, etc. This is 3rd time I've stayed in this hotel. The room price is quite cost-effective.

It locates 2 stops from Songshang Airport, 3 minutes from the nearest station. Surrounded by Taiwanese breakfast dining and 7-11, I always choose without breakfast plan when I visit Taipei. This time, the booked room firstly smelled smoky where the hotel prohibited smoking, staffs quickly solved the problem. Recently room charge has increased everywhere in Taipei, though, I guess this hotel is reasonable.

Delight Hotel is value for money (consider the rate). Its location is very strategic, only 3-4 minutes walk from the nearest Metro. It's only a few stations away from Tourist Attractions e.g. Taipei 101 and the popular night markets. The room is clean and well equipped. Most importantly, the staff are very friendly and helpful, especially on advising directions and places to go. The only downside is the Room is slightly small for family, just nice for 2 persons only.

Booked this room for one of my family members visiting in Taipei. He hotel is located close to the MRT station Nanjing East Rd. on the Wenhu Line (brown line). Hotel room was clean and just the right the size. Even tough located close to a fairly busy street you don't hear the noise. Places like Zhongxiao Fuxing and Zhongxiao Dunha are close by walking distance offering food and shopping experience (both malls and independent stores, go to Dunhua to eat). Staff is very helpful if you any question and check out and check inn was fast.

Traveled alone and stayed one week at the end of March. Nice and helpful staff. Chinese breakfast buffet, laundry and business facilities. Small but comfortable room with fridge, slippers, tea/coffee and bottled water replenished daily. Safe area, walked alone late at night and felt secure. Arrived early morning, left luggage at reception and was given a room at noon. Did not like first room (overlooked other building and was dark) and was quickly given another room on 9th floor on street side. Would stay again, it's a 3 star hotel with a plus. Staff made a difference, especially the 2 ladies team always greeting one with a smile.

Bargain New Hotel a Little Out of the Way

This hotel was an excellent bargain price of $65/night when we stayed. It seems quite new. Rooms were great, and the breakfast excellent. Only 2 issues we had were:
1) Location was out of the way and inconvenient from the station
2) The elevators were way too slow and small.

Conveniently located, good price, good value

I quickly needed a low-cost place to rest my head for a night in a convenient location, and I got what I wanted - not more, not less.

I booked in the morning (via Expedia), checked in 5 hours later, no problem. The staff at reception are very friendly, speak good English (I don't speak any functional Chinese) and were very helpful organising an airport transfer for my friend in the morning (at ridiculous-o'-clock).

The room was clean, comfortable, and the bathroom and shower were nicer and more modern than you would expect from the overall first impression of the hotel, which does seem a tiny bit worn out. There was a faint cigarette smell in the room, but it didn't bother me too much. Biggest plus is the short walk to the Nanjing East Road MRT station.

The location of the hotel is superb, being only a five minute walk from a mass transit station. I the surrounding area is dotted with various types of eateries and restaurants. While the hotel is not a big one, the amenities available is quite complete. The room is clean and very comfortable. The air-con is a touch noisier than expected. The staff are very friendly and helpful but at the same time vigilant. The only items I feel could be improved is the wireless internet. It is good to have this available, it took me a few attempts to get the connection due to weak signal though. But this is not a major issue for me, also if one is desperate, the business centre is just downstairs.

The hotel staff were polite and helpful. However, the room we were in was small with very low ceiling - not for claustrophobic or tall guests. The bathroom-toilet was frosted glass paneled. The bathroom floor is about 12 cm higher than the main bedroom floor with a slight raised kerb - dangerous for older guests with poor night vision as the kerb and dark carpet were of the same shade. There was an unsightly water stain on the carpet where there might have been a water leak from the shower stall into the bedroom behind the hotel room door. The one elevator is tiny with faulty motion sensor - the doors kept closing on us before we could either get totally in or out with our baggage!

The hotel overall is very good and is in a great location. Just about 5 minutes walk to the train station and in the center of several restaurants. The hotel is also located on the street off the main highway (Nanjing) and so is quiet. Room is clean and comfortable though I think the only thing missing is a clock. The complimentary coffee in the room was great and the cable included English channels. The wifi connection works and is taff was in general helpful and friendly. Going to the airport was not a problem since the airport shuttle is just two minutes walk from the hotel.

This was our second stay at this hotel & we again found it great for our needs. We love having access to the free computers/internet & the breakfast is always top quality. The front reception staff are very helpful as well. You can catch a bus to the international airport from the Brass Monkey which is around the corner from the hotel which is also very handy.

We stayed for a total of 4 nights and were very satisfied. The hotel staff are polite in answering all of our endless questions. Breakfast was decent. Rooms are very quite and comfortable. There is a business lounge downstairs and you can host visitors with free tea and coffee. There is also an American style self service laundry in the downstairs garage. We washed all of our laundry before we left and came back home all clean after a week on the road. Location is excellent, and the Metro station is about 5 min walk. If you are coming from Taipei Taoyuan Airport, you can take the Evergreen (changrong) airport shuttle 5102 and it drops you off on the corner of Fuxing/Nanjing, which is only a block away from the hotel. Overall, much better than City Inn near the Taipei Station where we also stayed for two nights.

Good Basic Hotel

The Delight Hotel (Da Lai in Chinese) is a small boutique hotel in the Songshan district of Taipei. It is small. It is basic. It is clean (ish). It is functional. It is a 3-star hotel by Asian standards, or a 4-star property by USA or European standards. So if you want something more fancy, try one of the bigger brands and be prepare to pay for it.

It is very close to Nanjing East Road MRT station. NER MRT station is on the brown line, which is an ancillary line. In order to get to all the major tourist sites, you have to change several trains, which can be a hassle when I had to do it for seven days.

The girls at the reception area speak English and are quite friendly. Plus, you get Ramen, tea, two bottles of water and one pack of juice for FREE EVERY DAY. Check the fridge. I thought this was very considerate of them since I hate to lug water in my backpack. There is a 7-11 store 10 meters from the hotel and a Wellcome convenience store 5 meters from the hotel. The bus to the airport is about 30 meters from the hotel (in front of the Brass Monkey pub). Will use them again when returning to Taipei.

Don't be afraid to walk around the several alley ways near Hotel Delight. You will find great eateries such as the Curry House, Rido Coffee Shop and the Taiwan Buffet restaurant.

Perfect hotel!

This place was mostly awesome! Nice sized room, good shower, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, amazing customer service, easy use of laundry facilities, and a gym that was useful for exercise. I felt at home on my two week stay here.

My only complaint was the weekend smoker down the hallway. Although Taiwan doesn't allow smoking in any building, people still do it on occasion and there doesn't seem to be much of a consequence for it. The hotel was nice though and brought a machine to clean the air in our hallway and the smoke smell was gone quickly. Other then that, this hotel was great. Also very close to the MRT and very good restaurants.

The Delight Hotel is located about 1 block away from the nearest subway line which is very convenient. We felt safe walking near the hotel and there are several resturants nearby if you needed a quick bite to eat. All the staff we interacted with was friendly and could speak English well.
